Unbelievably talented and such a sweet person

We were lucky enough to work with Kim as our wedding photographer! We originally booked Kim for what should have been our July 2020 wedding, but when the pandemic hit and we postponed, we could not have asked for a more supportive or wonderful vendor. She accomodated our change and really worked with us throughout the entire process. We even booked and had a second set of engagement photos taken. Kim is not just incredibly skilled behind the camera, but she had such a way of ensuring we were comfortable and felt natural. She is unbelievably organized which was SO helpful on our big day. We cannot say enough good things about Kim and look forward to continuing having a relationship with her.

Wolf Cove Inn Wedding

We are so lucky to have had Kim as our wedding photographer for our summer wedding at Wolf Cove. She was very laid-back and easy to work with and suggested a lot of fun photo ops around the property which gave us a great mix of both posed and candid photos. We are thrilled with how the photos came out and have received so many compliments! I would highly recommend Kim – she did a terrific job capturing the light and love on our big day!

Classy and Professional

We had Kim for our February wedding this year and she was a godsend! From the hiring until getting the edited photos back she was a true professional and more than willing to break down everything with us. She took a not ideal setting and turned it into absolutely stunning photos effortlessly.

Highly recommend Kim for any photography needs, but definitely for your wedding!

Great experience!

Kim was so wonderful to work with! We were able to do our engagement pictures with her and it was great to get to meet her and understand her style before the wedding day. You can tell she loves what she does and has a great eye for locations, lighting, poses etc! We had a lot of family pictures to get through and the team (photographers and videographers) got through it seamlessly! And the pictures are to die for!! So beautiful!

Truly Wonderful

Kim was nothing short of fabulous on our wedding day. She was attentive and a pleasure to work with. Love My Wedding Photos!

I cannot say enough good things about Kim Chapman Photography! I've gotten so many compliments on my engagement photos and my wedding photos. She is able to work some magic with lighting to make the photos absolutely beautiful. She was also incredibly professional to work with, was always on time, and set clear expectations for how the process would work. In addition, I got my photos back so quickly, which was amazing! I would definitely recommend working with Kim for your wedding or event.

Oh my god. What can I say about Kim? She is FABULOUS, and takes the most stunning pictures you could ever imagine. Kim is someone who truly knows her work, and loves it. You can feel how much she enjoys taking pictures and capturing the moments for you. We had a short engagement - 6 months - and it didn't end up working out that we had time for engagement photos. Kim suggested doing something after the wedding, called a "Rock the Dress" shoot. I was intrigued, and it was perfect! My husband and I got to put our wedding outfits back on 2 months after the wedding and take photos on the beach, lying in the sand and even in the water! But beyond that, at the wedding Kim was able to direct us to the best shots, come up with some creative ideas and capture all of the formal photos that I was hoping for! Kim is wonderfully talented and we were so grateful to her for capturing our wedding day!! <3 Kendra & Andrew

When we started looking for wedding photographers, I probably looked at more than 40+ photographer's websites. I was looking for something unique and just wasn't finding it until I came across Kim's website. As soon as I saw her pictures, I knew I had to have her as our wedding photographer, and I was even more excited that she fit into our price range. Kim was always super responsive by email and when we met with her for our engagement pictures, she was so nice and fun and genuinely committed to getting the best pictures of us. It didn't seem like we were just another one of her clients, she made it seem like we were special.

When it came time for the wedding, she looked over our tight timeline and realized she was going to need help from a second photographer and booked one a few days before the date. I'm so glad she knew what she was doing because they were able to get the pictures done a lot quicker with time to spare and we were able to make it to other locations to shoot at. It also made it a lot less stressful. As for the wedding pictures, they came out absolutely beautiful. I love how she does the usual staged "pictures for your parents," as well as some unique shots and candids. The whole collection just shows how awesome the night progressed. People commented that the pictures should be in a magazine (which isn't surprising, Kim has had her pictures in magazines.) We couldn't have asked for better pictures, thank you Kim!!!

Kim is AMAZING. I fell in love with her work when I saw a picture of hers gracing the cover of Seacoast Weddings in January 2015. I then decided to give up a few things so that I could fit her into my budget, and I am so glad I did. Kim knows exactly what she is doing, and I learned from our engagement shoot that if she tells you to do a pose that feels awkward, do it, because it's going to come out amazing! On our wedding day she insisted we go in the stairwell of our church, saying it would make a beautiful picture. Boy was she right. The photo turned out being one of our favorites, and looks like something out of a Disney movie! Not only is she talented, but Kim is very responsive and so sweet. I would choose her a hundred times over as my photographer. I have gotten many messages from people saying our photos are the most beautiful they've ever seen, and that they even made them tear up, and this was coming from people I don't know extremely well! Having Kim as your photographer poses only one problem, you won't be able to decide which ones to put up on the wall!

Kim was our photographer for both our wedding and engagement photos. I could not have been more pleased with our pictures, they turned out better than I could have even hoped for! Everyone comments on them and asks who our photographer was. Our photos are amazing and Kim is worth every single penny!

I highly recommend Kim as a wedding photographer. She is fun, flexible, reliable and takes AMAZING photographs. My family scored through different Maine photographer blogs, and each of us decided independently that Kim's photos were the best. Kim was AMAZING!! We are from PA and got married in Maine. It was difficult to plan the wedding being far away and Kim was very accommodating and made sure we didn't worry the day of our wedding. She listened to requests we wanted and our pictures are better than I could have imagined!!! She is very professional and pays attention to details. She also got great shots of our dog! We got so many compliments about the pictures!!! Highly recommended!!!

Kim was amazing!!! We planned a destination wedding at French's Point in Stockton Springs, Maine. We live in Texas, so this made things a bit complicated - but Kim was SO easy to work with. We did most of our exchanges via email, and she was always prompt and thorough in her responses, which was super helpful as an "out of town" bride. On top of that her work is stunning. We had a blustery overcast day that was much colder than planned - but our photographs captured nothing but happiness and the stunning landscape of our venue. She was patient with us, and made everything so easy. She blended seamlessly throughout the night and took a ton of amazing and candid shots. We also got a full color photo catalogue, along with a jump drive of all our pictures, in addition to the album. Hiring Kim was one of the best decisions we made for our big day!

I wish there were ten stars in every category. Kim captured the joy, elegance and beauty of our winter wedding on the Coast of Maine exquisitely. The value was phenomenal. Kim was our wedding photographer for our wedding at Clay Hill Farm in Cape Neddick, ME in September. As we are out of town guests from NJ having a "destination" wedding in beautiful Maine, it was fantastic having a photographer who was familiar with both the area and the wedding venue to suggest some fantastic photos. We started at Nubble Lighthouse as we really wanted Ocean side photos, and the beautiful blue sky and (hot) sun made lovely but "squinty-eyed" photos. She recommended heading to Clay Hill, where we were able to get wonderful, green photos, and she worked with the lighting & shadows to capture beautiful images. Kim is a bride's dream photographer, not afraid to speak up to the bridal party or venture into different areas just to capture wonderful photos.

Kim did an AMAZING job on our photos! We never got to actually meet in person before the wedding day and she was everything we've dreamed of plus more. Not only did she take amazing photos and capture the most beautiful moments, I had asked previously if we could take some vintage/rustic-type pictures and she produced the most gorgeous shots. I would highly recommend her to anyone and for any shoot. Her assistant was just as terrific!

What can I say, Kim Chapman was beyond amazing! I was totally satisfied with hiring Kim! She went above and beyond my expectations! I heard of Kim through another bride that hired her to do her photgraphy at the same resort I was getting married at. I fell in love with her pictures! There was no doubt in my mind that I was going to get her to do my pictures as well!

I got married in Montego Bay, Jamaica on 12-12-12. A good photographer to capture the memories of my special day was my only "must have". Kim was very easy to communicate with. She wanted to be sure that she knew exactly what I wanted and any specific poses or ideas that I had to have.

Kim and her husband Dave arrived at our resort the day before our big day and spent time capturing pictures of the resort. The day of our wedding she captured all our pre-wedding moments as well as unique shots she found on the property. She was very professional and so easy to work with! We got along so well, I felt like I had known her for years!

Our wedding photos were amazing! We didn't just do the ordinary wedding poses! She really thought outside the box! I'm still amazed at how the pictures came out! I can't stop looking at them! We also did a "trash the dress" shoot the next morning!

We had so much fun doing that shoot! She really knows how to open your eyes to new things! What could be more amazing than capturing the beautiful blue Caribbean waters, basking in the tropical sun with you and your husband! The pictures came out better than I had ever expected!
Everyone thought that our pictures should be used for an advertisement for the resort! Others thought we both should be models! Well, that's all thanks to Kim! She worked her magic and talent and made us feel and look like we WERE models!

I can't say enough of how extremely pleased I am with how my photos came out! Even my husband who does not think too much about getting pictures taken, was very excited and thrilled with Kim's work!

Kim was amazing!! She was extremely professional, she put everyone at ease. We still get tons of complements on how unobtrusive she was, and her pictures were gorgeous! They were not cookie cutter, everyone looked very natural and she did imaginative group poses out on the coastal shore. She will go to great lengths to get the perfect shot. Plus she is a lot of fun:) I would highly recommend her!

Kim was great to work with and the photographs turned out amazing! She had some unique ideas that resulted in some incredible pictures. I wasn't sure about paying for a professional photographer but I am so relieved that I chose Kim... the money was well worth it. She went above and beyond to get some stunning pictures. We are so happy that we were able to work with Kim for our wedding! She was creative, fun and based on the pictures we've seen, she was EVERYWHERE! (Even though all of our guests commented on how "invisible" she really was!) Her work is top notch and we wouldn't have done a single thing differently! Oh yeah- I should also mention that she comes highly recommended by her peers, as well. At a wedding recently I was asked who we used as a photographer- and as soon as he heard Kim's name- he had nothing but great things to say.

I could not have been happier to have Kim as my wedding photographer! I hired her to photograph my destination wedding in Jamaica and so I did not get to meet her in person until we arrived in Jamaica a few days before my wedding. However, just through our communications over email and phone, I felt like I got to know her and really clicked with her. From the beginning I had a good feeling and knew I was making the right choice in going with Kim as my wedding photographer! And not only did she meet the high expectations I had of her, she exceeded them by far!!! She was fun to work with, she made me and my husband laugh, and she listened to what we wanted in addition to using her own creativity and personal style and flair! She went above and beyond what was outlined in our contract - as in she arrived earlier and stayed later than she had to and so I really felt our entire wedding was captured perfectly from start to finish!! I especially loved how excited she seemed to do our wedding! For two days prior to our wedding, I would run into her at the resort we were staying and got married at and she would tell how she has been constantly scoping out great photo op locations!!! I just couldn't wait to see the final products! And she was so efficient. Less than a week after our wedding, she had a blog post up that was to die for!! We have since received so many complements on our wedding photos. One thing I really love about our wedding photos is all the variety. She does some of the standard wedding shots you expect, then she does a lot of fun, original stuff too - this is what drew to me her work in the first place!! It's been almost two months and the fun never ends. Kim is ambitious and she has submitted our wedding photos to magazines and gotten our pictures published. It has all been like a dream, where the wedding fun just keeps going and going!

We also had Kim photograph our Trash the Dress session on the beach two days after our wedding and again she went above and beyond. I knew she had not done a whole lot of these sessions before so I sent her some inspiration photos and she then told me she knew exactly what I was looking for and that she would deliver! And she did - again, significantly exceeding my already high expectations!!!!! What can I say, you cannot go wrong with Kim as your wedding photographer - she will give you the best of the best. And whatever you ask for, you will get that too!

Finally, because I am huge picky perfectionist, Kim accommodated me and photoshopped some photos for me AFTER delivering the final product! It had nothing to do with her skills as a photographer, I just did not like some of the "un-pretty" trees that were present at my beach ceremony site - so she photoshopped them out for me, making my photos even more beautiful!

Kim was excellent! Not only was she extremely professional, she was friendly, fun and easygoing from our first meeting until she took her last photo at our wedding. She accomodated all of our requests, and the finished product was amazing. We would recommend Kim to any bride and groom looking for a professional photographer to shoot their wedding day.

Great photos from a great person. She was a joy to have around. Her photos are gorgeous and breathtaking. She blended in and yet somehow knew the right pictures to get. I've raved about her all ready to people who aren't even engaged yet telling them to book her for the big day when it comes :) I was bummed that I didn't get more photos of my groom as he saw me for the first time walking down the aisle but the pictures she captured of my dad and I as we shared an amazing moment on our walk down the aisle made up for it. She can't be everywhere at once but she tries to be! Book her- you won't regret it!

Kim and her assistant Alexandra did a wonderful job at our wedding at Clay Hill Farm! They were very professional and made us feel at ease the day of the wedding. Best of all, they were able to capture truly amazing shots - and shots that were not the typical cookie cutter wedding shots, but really unique and stunning photos. Kim also has a number of options to work within any couple's budget. We loved the photos and were so happy to have our day captured so beautifully!

The resolution of the photos could be larger, and we waited longer than expected before we received our CD. However, we appreciate that Kim was able to fit us in for a great price at somewhat short notice, and we are extremely pleased with her creativity and skill in capturing our celtic candlelight ceremony perfectly! All who view our photos are absolutely astounded, and demand to know who took them. We wouldn't choose anyone else!

I hired Kim for my vow renewal in May 2011. Originally, I had a photographer friend lined up for the job but being military, he fell through as he got orders around the time of wedding day. I googled photographers in the Portland, ME area and emailed Kim in a panic. Luckily she was still available on such short notice and even gave me a discount on her regular prices when I explained we were short on budget because we had not planned a payment for our photographer friend. She was very easy to work with, responded to emails and phone calls quickly and efficiently and I am very grateful for her understanding and willingness to negotiate on short notice. When wedding day came, Kim was very easy to get along with and was very professional. My bridesmaids and I enjoyed being goofy with her during a spontaneous mini photo shoot before the ceremony and she dealt fabulously with other guests who were attempting to take their own photos. I loved viewing a sneak peek of the photos on Kim's blog about 2 days after the wedding and the completed album in about 10 days following. The pictures were beautiful and even made me tear up on a few. Kim did wonderful work given the cold and rainy day it turned out to be. The bright blue of my bridesmaids dresses, my accessories and other wedding decor really popped against the gray sky. My only complaint is that I wish I had more close-up shots, especially of guests emotions during our ceremony and our long kiss at the finale of our first dance. I feel like those moments were overlooked without a zoom lens or if Kim was trying not to be intrusive just to get the shot There are a few photos where my hair is out of place or there is a coffee mug in the picture, etc but overall I would say the value for her experience was great. I love that I received a professional proof book, a digital CD with all the photos and full printing rights. Thank you Kim for capturing our big day so beautifully!

I would HIGHLY recommend Kim Chapman, as a wedding photographer. She did an absolutely amazing job and totally captured our wedding day, in the most perfect & magical way!! Kim was very easy to work with and a pleasure to get to know, along the way. Kim blended right into the crowd, kind of as if she was a guest, with a fancy camera! We are just so happy with her work and are very thankful for all the amazing pictures we now have, from our special day.

I really enjoyed working with Kim. My husband and I are very pleased with the quality of the wedding photos we received and the package she was able to put together for us. It's great to walk away from the experience with your photos on a CD, not having to order every single picture from a website. That was what mattered most to us and one of the top reasons why we chose Kim- she really makes an effort to do everything she would want for herself, if she was the bride.
I couldn't give Kim 5 stars on quality, only because there are some shots that I think we missed. There are very few shots of me, in my dress, at full-length. I also didn't get hardly any shots of me and my sister and mom. I know that she focuses on capturing the story of the day and she did a great job, but I wish that we had a few more family shots.
For responsiveness, Kim was a little slow at returning emails, but when she did, she was thorough. The contract was very easy to understand. Kim is extremely professional, especially working with the other vendors.
I would highly recommend Kim. She is a great person to work with, generally happy and fun, excellent quality of photos (love the proof book that she puts together), and affordable.

I was extremely disappointed with Kim Chapman, especially because she came so highly recommended. Leading up to the event, she was impossible to reach - I tried to contact her on the phone several times and left generous windows of time when I or my fiance could be reached, but she wasn't available to call until the day before my wedding. What a nightmare. She did end up being personable and kind on the day of the event, but I wish I hadn't had that kind of stress before the big day! My other main concern was that she put too much focus on photographing our adorable flower girl during the ceremony and at the reception, and neglected the bride and groom. Overall, it was a bad experience.
