  Best dj ever!

  I had the pleasure of working with Zach last fall for a wedding. The music was exclusively EDM for the dance floor, and it was the best party ever. Guest of all age ranges were up and dancing until the end of the night. He had seamless transitions and great song versions. His professionalism, experience, and understanding of music really shines. The entire experience was awesome, I only wish I had the playlist to bump in the car on my drive home. Choose DJ Kernsy for all your Brooklyn or Manhattan wedding dj needs, highly recommend!

  Thank you, Zach!

  Zach was by far the easiest vendor that we worked with during our wedding. He was great to communicate with and was responsive. He listened to our wants from a DJ (someone to play bangers and not narrate). He was very familiar with the venue and brought all the necessary equipment. Would definitely recommend working with Zach!

  Wonderful experience

  We had a pretty non traditional wedding, laid back, funky, moody disco vibes. I sent Zach a Spotify playlist to give him an idea of the vibes. He was responsive to all of our emails, showed up with plenty of time the day of, took care of his own setup, and we had an absolute blast with his set.
  I danced the whole night, only sitting down to eat, and my guests had so much fun.
  Not only did he knock it out of the park with the music I suggested, he branched out into other genres (with my permission) and really made it a night to remember. He also helped me pick a song for our processional, as I didn’t want a traditional wedding march.
  He was professional, punctual, and he did an amazing job.

  A seamless experience!

  I hired Zach for my brother’s 120 person wedding about 3 hours outside of New York City. He was amazing from start to finish! He set up an easy process for choosing what type of music we wanted to hear, and even helped the bride with her walk down the aisle song. He arrived perfectly on time to set up all the sound including the microphones for the ceremony, and helped us find a solution for using two different rooms for the ceremony and party.
  
  The music was perfect from start to finish, he took our suggestions and built on them in a fun way to keep young, old and in between dancing. To quote the bride: “I don’t think I sat down for more than two minutes!” In a very stressful process of planning the wedding, Zach made the sound and music the easiest part. Highest recommendation!

  Great taste, great vibes = happy couple & guests!

  Zach was such a pleasure to work with; he has phenomenal taste and a vast knowledge of many different genres. We tasked Zach with curating a specific vibe and he delivered that and more! We knew we wanted to hear traditional music from both sides of our family and he blended those songs seamlessly into his set. He also pronounced all of the dances and names of our wedding party correctly which was highly appreciated. Zach was very easy to communicate with and very accommodating to our schedule. During and after the wedding, we received a bunch of compliments on how good the music at our party was--the best compliment ever! We highly recommend working with Zach for your next event!!

  Good tunes and good planning!

  Zach was a hit at our wedding! He was very easy to work with and gave a good outline of how to pick songs. I actually had a couple of people come up to me during the night and compliment his mixing - songs blended into each other so smoothly. He brought the tunes you're gonna want!

  Zach was a pleasure to work with from the start. He responded to emails promptly and efficiently, and he proactively communicated with us in the lead-up to our wedding, which put me at ease when I was juggling so many different vendors. Zach also came ready with ideas for music during the ceremony when I was at a loss and didn't have the time to really think about it. And of course, he did a fantastic job actually DJing at our party. We had several friends (who are pretty critical of wedding DJs in general) tell us what a great DJ we had, including one who is herself a professional DJ. Could not have asked for a better experience and would definitely recommend Zach to any friends looking for a wedding or party DJ! Thank you Zach for making our dance party dreams come true!!

  Perfect Match DJ

  Zach was the absolute perfect DJ for our wedding. We (and our friends) like house music/new disco, but also cared about having music everyone knew (across generations) so everyone would be up and dancing. Zach totally understood us, and the progression throughout the night was perfect. We got aligned on vibes for different parts of the night (guest arrival, cocktail hour, dinner/speeches, start of party vs mid party vs end of party). He asked really good specific questions to make sure everything was exactly what we wanted (ie do you want this version vs this version; stopping this song at 48 seconds makes more sense that 52 seconds for an intro, etc.). He never made us feel stressed- he perfectly hits the balance of detail oriented and chill. We gave him a lot of base to work with (ie must hear these songs, this is the general vibe for this part of the night, here are a bunch of songs we'd like during cocktail hour but not a full hour worth) and then trusted his judgement to flesh everything out. He absolutely knocked it out of the park. All of our must plays were played, all of our "do not plays" were not played. Our parents were out and dancing all night, which is a tough feat to accomplish when playing music to also keep a younger crowd happy/engaged. There are a few songs that are special to our friend group, and singing/dancing to those at our wedding will forever be core memories. He made it SUCH a memorable party for us and our guests. It's clear that Zach is an experienced professional- it rained toward the end of cocktail hour and some of his equipment got wet. He needed to do a lot of pivoting in the moment, and guests were never aware of it. He kept the vibes going. Something people kept saying to us was, "I've never seen a bride and groom have this much fun at their own wedding." This had a ton to do with Zach, and we are so thankful we picked him to be there on our special day. 11/10; can't recommend him enough.

We stayed in touch throughout the process and curated our playlists and our songs to be used throughout the ceremony. On the day, Zach was professional and capable. He required no instruction but made sure to check in on a few key details throughout the night. He hit all his marks and kept the evening flowing with great music. Everyone had a great time dancing the night away, and Zach was definitely a part of that.

  Party time

  Zach was awesome. We went over the program/schedule for our wedding reception and he had great follow up questions that we didn’t even think about. It helped with the details! Music selection was great. We danced so much. All our guests said they loved the music selection. Would 100% recommend him.

  Of all our vendors, Zach Kerns was the one who got us and what we were going for the most. He was so, so good at listening to our vision of what the wedding would be and translating it into music. He was incredibly easy to work with, so kind, and the music was simply perfect all night long, start to finish. Working with Zach was one of the best choices we made for the wedding. We highly recommend him to any couple looking for great music from a chill, kind DJ.

  Great Experience with Zach

  Zach is down to earth and easy to work with. We had a great time at our small garden wedding at Bottino in Manhattan. He was integral to the guests’ energy all night while also working within Bottino’s sound parameters. Zach went out of his way to meet us prior to the wedding day and gave us great recommendations on our playlist and flow - his experience was apparent! We had the best time dancing the night away and so did all our family and friends. The pictures make that clear!

  Dj zack really delivered the goods!

  We had a bit of a non traditional wedding and Zack executed it flawlessly and with no judgement. We wanted a hyped up party and he really delivered. He was actually being a DJ and not just pressing play on a playlist. He was responding live to the vibes. 10 out of 10.

  New Zealand Wedding made AWESOME.

  Zach DJ’d our wedding in New Zealand in April ’23. He had a big part in making our special day absolutely EPIC. It would certainly not have been just as awesome without his skills, professionalism and humour.
  We had pretty specific requests for him, many songs were local “kiwi” jams and we expected Zach to not know how to include them in our day, he absolutely exceeded expectations and played all the must-haves so seamlessly that you would have thought he grew up listening to the same kiwi classics as all of our guests.
  Because of his long travel, we hired a lot of equipment. Zach was right by us the whole time, coordinating and providing knowledge about the equipment needed.
  
  Zach, you kept that party going all night, Thank You for being such an important part of wedding!!

He listened carefully to our preferences and vision for our wedding. He was thoughtful and attentive to our needs as an interracial couple with lots of different music priorities! The music from start to finish was perfect and kept the party going all night. Leading up to our event, he was professional, courteous, and responsive. It was a breeze to work with him. We had an audio issue at our venue just before our ceremony, and Zach stepped in to save the day! We were so grateful to have such a kind, professional and talented person to throw our party.   Super fun DJ!

  We cannot recommend working with Zach highly enough! From our first meeting, we felt reassured by his calm, professional demeanor, and it was clear that he was listening to us and understood exactly what we were looking for. He was super flexible throughout the planning process and took care to ensure that he understood the dance vibe we were going for. He made sure that not only the dancing portion of the evening went well, but that we were taken care of for the ceremony and speeches as well, even though that fell outside of his responsibility. And when it came to the dancing - we DID NOT leave the dance floor all night. He read the room perfectly and married it with the vibe we were going for so that everyone had a great time.

  DJ Kernsy couldn't have been more of a hit! We had a great experience working with Zach in the lead up to the wedding, and that only got better during/after the big day. Zach is great at reading the room, very accommodating around scheduling/requests, and just an overall joy to work with. I can't recommend DJ Kernsy enough!

  Incredible DJ for our wedding!

  As very particular people, my husband and I knew exactly what we wanted the vibe of our wedding to be like. I will only speak for myself when I say I’m not particularly music forward (meaning my favorite songs are ones I heard on the radio five years ago). I don’t think I left the dance floor for more than five minutes because every time I went to get even a glass of water another hit came on that had me running back.

  As very particular people, my husband and I knew exactly what we wanted the vibe of our wedding to be like. I will only speak for myself when I say I’m not particularly music forward (meaning my favorite songs are ones I heard on the radio five years ago).   A friend recommended Zach to us, and we couldn't have been happier. The music for our wedding was so important to us. He worked with us to incorporate our favorites into cocktail hour and dinner and then killed it on the dancefloor.
  
  We had a riot, our guests had a great time. It was so much fun.

  Zach is excellent. Super professional. Very communicative, responsive, transparent about fees and logistics. Excellent taste across lots of genres. He consulted with us on what we wanted and gave us great ideas on the walk-up song for our wedding. Great music taste overall, amazing transitions, everyone was dancing and so sad when the night ended. Would definitely recommend anyone getting married or having a party work with Zach!

  We were so happy with Zach as our DJ at our wedding. We had a long list of songs we wanted to play, and all his selections complemented our playlist perfectly. He was also very responsive and flexible following up to our reception and very reasonably priced for the caliber of professionalism he brings. I would highly recommend him for your event!

  I can't recommend Zach enough! From start to finish, Zach was thoughtful, communicative, and patient with our many requests and questions. Zach walked us through the entire process of what choosing music looked like, through to the small details on the day of. I have to emphasize the communicativeness of Zach--he was beyond my favorite vendor to chat with because he was incredibly responsive and thorough in his explanations of whatever question I directed to him. It was clear from the beginning that he was excited to celebrate our big day and when the day finally arrived, the dance floor was packed all night which was exactly what we wanted! We had a few last minute weather changes with our ceremony and again, Zach transitioned his setup seamlessly from what was supposed to be a partial outdoor wedding, to an indoor ceremony and reception. His calmness despite the temporary mayhem added to a completely stressless and lovely event. I can't recommend Zach enough!

  We had such a terrific experience working with Zach. He was quick to respond to all of our emails, and on the day of our wedding everything was perfect. The speakers and mics sounded great (no audio issues) and his music selection was everything we wanted. We couldn't recommend him enough for your wedding or event!

  If you want to have the best dance party of your life, hire Zach Kerns!!

  We hired Zach to be the Dj at our wedding and I am beyond glad that we did. Our wedding was pushed back twice and he was accommodating, professional, and very responsive. On the day of, he arrived on time and did the most amazing job. He took care of the music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. For the ceremony we gave him a list of songs we wanted to have played and he looped and timed them all perfectly. During cocktail hour I could hear the music from a distance while we took photos and I said out loud at least 3 times "I love this song." All of the music during the reception was perfect and once the dance floor was opened up to all it was a constant dance party until the end of the night. There was not a single song that had people wanting to take a break. He read the crowd perfectly and it was the absolute best.
