Kent Island Resort is a gem. I recently participated as a vendor at their November Harvest Fest & Craft Fair, and the level of organization, friendliness, and attention to detail was outstanding. The venue is gorgeous, the team is wonderful to work with, and the on-site dining is excellent. As a local resident, I can confidently recommend this resort to any couple looking for a beautiful, reliable, and memorable wedding venue. -

Kent Island Resort is magnificent...the scenery is picture perfect. It was quiet and quaint and made you feel like you stepped into a magazine. The staff are amazing and put up with all sorts of request and changes without batting an eyelash. I can't wait to visit again for the luxurious feel without the pinch to my pocket. I met some lovely people and had tons of laughs...looking forward to another visit -

Well-organized, well-managed venue & catering. Food was the best we've had at any wedding. Setting is beautiful and hotel is an easy option, as is the onsite bridal suite, catering, and bar services. I truly want to shout my venue from the rooftops because it was everything we dreamed of and it is the #1 thing guests keep talking about! I know there were some posts mentioning some staff turnover that unfortunately impacted some brides. Personally, I was not affected other than being reassigned a day of coordinator many months before the day. I ended up working with Cheryl who was overall a pleasure and was very communicative during crunch time. Overall the space is gorgeous- the manor on property, outdoor space (nature, foliage), the farmstead, all stunning, the food was INCREDIBLE, they have fire pits going, attentive bartenders and waitstaff, and the owner himself personally ensured the bride and groom, along with our parents and grandparents, were always taken care of in regards to food and drink. It was a dream. -

My husband Erik and I got married on June 10th at the newly remodeled Kent Island Resort! It was everything we could have ever asked for and our wedding coordinators Mackenzie and Cheyenne were truly wonderful! Working with both of them eased any concerns that came up during the planning process and their responsiveness was always on point! The food was phenomenal and Mackenzie and Cheyenne set up our ceremony and reception the exact way we wanted and planned for.
If you have any doubt, don’t! They will make sure your day is perfect!

Amazing!!!
We had the most Magnificent Wedding Weekend at the Kent Manor Inn this past weekend. Saying “thank you” isn’t quite enough to explain our immense Gratitude for the impeccable customer service, the glorious grounds & the historic Inn itself. Dolores was our wedding planner and she was Awesome! Covid had changed up our wedding plans significantly and we shifted gears and made a new plan for an intimate family-only gathering. It couldn’t have gone more PERFECTLY! She made everything so easy with her supportive & kind demeanor. She was there ALL weekend - checking on our every need. We didn’t have to worry about anything! The staff was Amazing...Specifically LaFawn, who attended to us beautifully! She took care of Everyone! LaFawn is a True Love & every guest just couldn’t say enough about her service & care! The food was DELICIOUS! The grounds are Stunning & the entire staff is Top Notch! We didn’t want the day to end! We all left feeling like we made lifelong friends! And we CANNOT wait to go back every year on our Anniversary (and more weekends) to celebrate what an Amazingly Perfect Day & weekend we all had!Thank you!!! Thank you!!! The Kent Manor Inn was the perfect wedding venue for us. We knew that we wanted a venue with in-house catering and an option for guests to stay overnight, so we attended the open house on a Saturday last year. As soon as we saw the waterfront gazebo and the Preserve reception space, we were sold. Throughout our planning process, a new venue coordinator, Jessica, was hired. She was extremely organized and had a wonderful no-nonsense attitude that we loved. She was very quick to respond to any questions or requests that we had, no matter how small. We booked about half of the rooms the night before our wedding and had some issues checking in as there is no staff present overnight, but one of the managers, Debby, was quick to arrive to the Inn & get us checked in. Our wedding went off without a hitch, from the beginning to end. The Preserve was recently renovated with new floors, ceiling drapes, and bathrooms- all of which had the venue looking picture perfect. All of the staff at the Preserve were so enthusiastic and helpful to our guests. Every single one of our guests emphasized what a perfect wedding it was at the Kent Manor Inn. We hosted brunch at the Inn on Sunday morning for some of our guests and the staff was superb yet again. We highly recommend the Kent Manor Inn to anyone looking for a gorgeous, historic, waterfront wedding.Kent Island Resort's reply:

Kent Manor Inn is first off, a gorgeous venue! But to top it off, they have an amazing staff that is responsive and supportive. They truly make sure that the wedding day goes off perfectly! Jessica Oliver is amazing is really helped us get the final day of plan together and helped calm our nerves. She is a pro! The catering Kent provides is also amazing, the food was delicious and the timing of the buffet was perfect! They really helped keep the reception activities moving along. Where do I even begin with Kent Manor Inn? It was an absolute DREAM to get married here!!! It's a stunning venue with so much charm and character. We looked at tons (and I mean TONS) of venues before we finally saw KMI and fell in love. Our vision included an outdoor ceremony with the option to host an outdoor reception in a tent. We were going for a rustic feel while blending in traditional Hindu/Indian traditions and KMI was the perfect place to bring our vision to life. It was large enough to host a 350+ person wedding without any issues, which is something that limited us while searching for an outdoor venue. It's been 3 months and we are still hearing from our guests that our wedding venue was so incredibly beautiful. It definitely helped that we luckily got the best weather (sunny & 70's) for our spring wedding!
The entire wedding planning process was a breeze after we booked our wedding day with KMI. Their team did everything they could to answer our millions of questions in a timely manner. They suggested some great vendors (ranging from party/equipment rentals to transportation to bakeries and even babysitters)! Everyone from KMI was pleasant to work with and it's evident they did everything they could to make our day special. They had hosted a handful of Indian weddings in the past, so I felt more at ease knowing that they understood the different traditions and intricacies of an Indian wedding (i.e baraat, official welcome, long ceremony, etc.).
Since we had a pretty large wedding, KMI worked with us closely to ensure there were enough chairs, tables, restrooms, etc. for our guests. Really appreciated their help with this so my husband and I didn't have to worry about it. In the months leading up to our wedding, KMI staff worked with all of my vendors to ensure they were all on the same page so things ran smoothly. Some of my vendors visited the venue beforehand to check it out and there was always someone from the Inn willing to meet with them and take them on a tour/answer their questions. On the day of, everything ran smoothly and I have no complaints. The day was beautiful and everything we could dream of.
We also rented out the entire Inn for our guests to stay and had a great experience with that, as well. I worked with the Inn to assign rooms to our guests, they were able to call in with the CC information and received email confirmations quickly. The rooms were all great as well - each one has it's own personality and the bathrooms were modern and clean. The bridal suite was perfect for getting ready and allowed for some great photos.
Overall, we absolutely LOVED our experience with Kent Manor Inn and can't say enough great things about them. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a gorgeous outdoor venue! -

Even though we went in a different direction I wanted to express how much we loved the Kent Manor Inn! The ground are beyond beautiful, the Inn is so well kept and is so cozy! We have stayed there before and the people really just make the whole place cozy. Prices are great for the area! Plus there is so much history there! -
Danielle Sent on 01/08/2018I am so incredibly glad I chose KMI as my wedding venue. It is affordable and absolutely beautiful. It was everything I could have dreamed of. I was married by the water and had my reception at the garden house, which is my favorite part of the venue. The staff is phenomenal. The food was incredible and we were VERY pleased with the options at our price point, which wasn't on the higher end. You will not regret having your wedding here! You also get a nights stay at the inn, which is an incredible added bonus!

Everyone at Kent Manor was amazing and they really went above and beyond to ensure that our day was exactly what we wanted. Ashley did an amazing job at helping us with all the planning leading up to the big day and definitely thought of things that we otherwise would not have. Kelley was equally as amazing making sure that there was nothing forgotten during the rehearsal and orchestrating all the details on the wedding day through the ceremony, reception and even our grand exit. I really feel as though everyone genuinely cared about our day and truly wanted it to be as exactly we had dreamed it. The food was amazing and the venue itself is just gorgeous. We received so many compliments as to what a beautiful wedding we had; and we owe a huge part of that to all the staff at Kent Manor for being on their "A Game.!" To say that this day was anything short of fairy tale would not be doing it justice. Thank you everyone at Kent Manor Inn for making our day one that we will never forget and will always be so special to us!

Jaclyn Sent on 10/11/2013We had our wedding at the United States Naval Academy Chapel and the reception at the Kent Manor Inn. The Kent Manor Inn's staff did a tremendous job making our day perfect! We were so impressed with the venue that we changed our wedding date to accommodate the date they had left in their schedule. Ashley, the catering manager, worked closely with our family to answer any questions we had during the planning process. Since my father lives overseas, she communicated with the both of us to make sure everything went smoothly as the date got closer. Ashley was flexible with her time, allowing me to bring my floral designer in for a final run through and offering suggestions when she saw fit. The staff that administered our "tasting" made us feel at home and impressed my parents, the hardest part!
My bridesmaids and I got ready in the bridal suite and it was heavenly! The cozy room was exactly the feel we were going for- it was so convenient to just be able walk right up the stairs after the reception and relax in such a beautiful room.
Danielle kept everyone on track the day of the wedding! I did not have to worry about a thing and she dealt with all the behind-the-scene details with such grace. She effectively communicated with all of my "day of" vendors, making it possible for family members to be worry-free and truly enjoy every moment of the day!
We had family and friends travel from all over the world to attend our wedding. Many guests noted that is was the most beautiful and enjoyable wedding they had ever been to! The food was astonishing! The staff was friendly, and the venue was breathtaking. Special things to note: We did a "day-after-brunch" and numerous friends and family enjoyed the delicious spread of food the Kent Manor had to offer. Again, they worked with our requests and were able to make the experience warm and enjoyable. Plus, there is plenty of parking!!!
This place is pricy, but you get what you pay for: Quality. -

Marcie Sent on 02/01/2012Jay and I could not have been more happy and pleased to have had our wedding ceremony and reception at Kent Manor Inn. Ashley was great throughout the entire planning process. I certainly bombarded her with multiple requests and questions! Ashley's flexibility was awesome- "no" was never an answer! She really helped us accomplish everything we wanted! The tasting was so fun and the Chef too was so flexible and accommodated our special requests- that meant a lot! The day of, the food was amazing! Our guests especially loved the lobster mac and cheese! Also on the day of, we had Ashley and Danielle with us the entire time. Danielle was a rockstar. I really wanted someone to tell me where I needed to be and at what time- and Danielle made it happen! Kent Manor was a PERFECT location for us. We essentially had the entire place to ourselves! It made spending time with our family and friends intimate and exclusive. We really could not have been happier.... We would recommend Kent Manor Inn for sure to anyone and plan to visit for our one year anniversary! -

Mara Sent on 07/28/2010Kent Manor has an absolutely beautiful setting for both the ceremony and reception. We got married right at the beautiful gazebo along the water. The night before at the rehearsal we realized that it would be very hot for the guests to sit in the sun, so the Manor accommodated us by moving all the chairs to the other side of the gazebo so that the guests were sitting in the shade of the trees. They also moved a table around in the Garden House when we looked at it and realized that we didn't like the way it looked. The food is absolutely WONDERFUL and we got so many complements on it from our guests. They were flexible and I was able to personalize our wedding so that it was exactly what I had always dreamed of. The manor itself has a personality of its own which really added to the abidance of our wedding. -

We booked our venue back in the beginning of 2023. At first we were a little nervous as there was a bit of turnover with the wedding coordinators. However, once we started working with Danielle and Megan, our nerves quickly disappeared. They were so responsive, professional, and helpful throughout the wedding planning process. I had so many questions and sent so many emails, because I did not have my own wedding planner and they answered every one in a timely manner with all the details I needed. On the day of our wedding, I truly did not feel nervous at all. Megan and Danielle were available if I had any questions and truly went above and beyond for me, my bridal party, my husband, and our families. It was a perfect wedding day. All of our guests were so impressed with our venue. They also mentioned it was some of the greatest filets they have ever had. Beautiful, magical location for our wedding!
We had a beautiful, magical wedding at Kent Island Resort in their Farmstead building! Cheryl was a pleasure to work with towards the end of our planning and very responsive. Everything beginning from our rehearsal dinner the evening before, to the bridal suite the day of, to setup of the ceremony and reception spaces was executed seamlessly. We did have a minor heart attack when we learned three weeks before our wedding that our original venue coordinator had resigned, but all of our plans were well documented and Cheryl really stepped up to make it a magical day for us. -

We could not be happier with our experience at Kent Manor Inn. We had our rehearsal dinner here on 6/7/19 and got married on 6/8/19. Our whole weekend was perfect. The staff was so accommodating and laid back. Our venue coordinator, Ashley, did an excellent job and made sure everything turned out just as I wanted. A week before the wedding I asked Ashley if the venue carried a specific type of wine and she said they did not. When we arrived for the rehearsal, I was so happy to find out she ended up ordering a few bottles of the wine just for me and the wedding party. We stayed the whole weekend and had the BEST time. We are so happy we chose this venue for our wedding. Great customer service from the front desk, cleaning staff, and bartenders as well. I highly recommend Kent Manor Inn! -

The location was beautiful, and our split entree (crab stuffed shrimp & chicken) was loved by our guests and ourselves. We had to change the ceremony to inside on the day of as a result of high winds, and Danielle did a great job reassuring me and the ceremony ended up being beautiful inside the garden house. We only had wonderful comments from the guests. We recommend Kent Manor Inn to any bride and groom that are looking for a pretty location with good food and accommodating staff.

Elizabeth Sent on 11/06/2012We are SO HAPPY that we chose Kent Manor Inn for our wedding location. Our guests are raving about how beautiful the venue is and all of the photos we are getting back look amazing. We wanted an intimate venue (80 guests) where we could stay overnight that had more character than a hotel, and this was just it. The food was top notch, especially the crabcakes (and I am a true Marylander!) We also had 40 guests for the Sunday morning brunch, which was the best decision ever! The brunch buffet is the BEST brunch we have ever attended, and everyone was beyond impressed. Ashley and Danielle were wonderful to work with; Danielle especially on the wedding day really made sure everything ran smoothly and I didn't have to do a thing! They set up everything, and we even had to move the wedding indoors the day of because it was cold. Email response time varied but was very quick as the wedding got closer. Again, this venue was classic, romantic, and amazing for all ages of guests. I don't think it gets more beautiful than this! Thank you!
