We absolutely loved working with Kendra’s Country Bakery! Kendra and Maureen, the sweetest mother-daughter duo, brought such a warm, small-town, family feel to the entire process. My husband and I ordered a two-tier cake along with an assortment of cupcakes, and our guests could not stop raving about the incredible variety of flavors and how delicious everything was, we had nothing left by the end of the night because everyone kept going back for seconds!
Kendra and Maureen completely exceeded my expectations with the cake design. They effortlessly incorporated our flowers and our custom cake topper featuring our huskies, it was beautiful and so personal. They were communicative, easy to work with, and coordinated seamlessly with my venue and wedding coordinator. They even set up the dessert table at the reception, and it looked stunning. Their attention to detail and professionalism truly made this part of our wedding day perfect. I couldn’t recommend them more! -

We hired this bakery for our 100-person wedding, and they exceeded our expectations. They prepared 13 different mini desserts (2 dozen each) all beautifully presented and delicious. Despite unexpected rain, they were flexible and ensured everything was set up perfectly. Their professionalism, communication, and attention to detail made the whole process smooth and stress-free. I highly recommend them for anyone seeking a reliable, high-quality baker for their event. They truly delivered above and beyond! -

Best Cake Ever!
From start to finish, Kendra’s was amazing. We easily scheduled a tasting and they were supportive of our crazy ideas for our wedding cake. We were able to come up with our own combinations of cake and icing flavors and for each layer! They were also very professional and super nice and were pleasant to work with. It’s been a couple years and we still dream of that cake! We also still hear compliments from our families on the red velvet cake with cookies and cream filling and the carrot cake with the caramel buttercream ;). Oh, and they were able to make my vision come true of how I wanted the cake the look on the outside and as you can see, it was beautiful! -

Wow! Kendra and Maureen are amazing! Well worth the price. When we went for our cake tasting, everything was so delicious it was hard to choose our flavors. On our wedding day, they brought a beautiful cake and cupcakes. They even set up the display and took photos for us. Our guests enjoyed it so much that we had hardly anything left at the end of the night. Thank you to Kendra's Country Bakery for making our wedding cake so special ~
The top tier was a spice cake, bottom tier was a carrot cake. Cupcakes were an assortment of oreo & vanilla, raspberry & champagne, coffee & chocolate, and red velvet & cream cheese. -

Kendra’s Country Bakery is the best!!!
We booked them for our wedding and we got a 2 tiered cake with 4 dozen cupcakes for a dessert table. We got a free extra dozen cupcakes. We let them do their magic for what the cake looked like and It was perfect. Everything tasted and looked incredible. We are so lucky we found them!! We would recommend them to everyone!! -

We decided on an elopment in the mountains near payson, when my mother in law asked for what we where doing for cake 2 days before I said we had toppers but would probably just pick up something simple as a grocery store on the way up. My MIL said let me take care of it and got to work! She found this amazing bakery which delivered both a cake but also 2 dozen cupcakes on super short notice!
They where amazingly gorgeous with matching blue and white flowers for the cake!
I'm not a fan of chocolate cake usually but OMG was this this the best chocolate cake I've ever had! I can't wait to try it again for our anniversary!
You CANNOT go wrong getting a cake here they are gorgeous, delicious and make miracles happen! -

Quality & kindness!
Kendra's Country Bakery provided us with incredible desserts that was as beautiful as it tasted! They were able to help us with a last minute request for our traditional Norwegian wedding cake (kransekagge) despite not having lots of experience making them. They set aside a special box for us to try our desserts in case we were too busy to enjoy them during our big day! And the most important part of our entire experience with any and all vendors was that they provided us with friendly, prompt, and kind customer service. We will be finding reasons to use them in the future! -

The best for weddings!
We had a toned down small wedding but we knew that we wanted to have a statement piece in the cake. And what a statement piece we got! The sugar work on the cake was jaw-dropping, beautiful, and the best work of art that we could have asked for. Kendra's Country Bakery is not just for the country but big town too! -

The entire experience of working with Kendra and Maureen is completely personal! Beginning with the cake tasting appointment. I would describe the experience as warmly professional. We paid extra for additional so that we could have five of us at the tasting. MOB and parents of the Groom all attended with the B&G and it was like an event in itself.
They had a set of questions they went through to pin point the style. They had a florist recommendation but we were free to bring our own flowers. We opted for their local florist and they too knocked it out of the park.
We liked too many flavor combinations, so we opted for a smaller two tiered cake and several dozen cupcakes. So many of our guests commented on the beauty and quality of the cake. All the flavors were just as we remembered from the tasting. The cake was perfectly moist and the frosting was appropriately sweet.
Everything is from scratch and fresh. This is not cake you can compare to a grocery store bakery. The quality is far superior. -

Kendra’s Bakery was so amazing to work with! They designed our wedding cake exactly how we wanted, even incorporating our two dog cake toppers on top! We had an Italian lemon cake with a tart lemon curd filling and it was incredible! We also had cupcakes with a vanilla strawberry filling that were a hit. They have so many flavor combinations to choose from. You can tell they use quality ingredients and were very helpful in finding us something that fit our budget. They did the whole set up for us so we didn’t have to worry about a thing. I would highly recommend them! -

Kendra and Maureen with Kendra’s Country Bakery we’re absolutely fantastic from day one! We married in Payson, AZ in May 2022 and could not be happier to have chosen them for our special day! From the first contact, they were quick to respond and were very receptive and flexible in my indecision along the way. Our first meeting for cake tasting further validated that we picked the right people as they were warm and welcoming. Their communication is impeccable and they stayed in contact with me for several months prior to our big day, making changes as requested. I was apprehensive at first in handing over the reigns to let them put their personal touch on the vision I had for our cake, cupcakes and brownies but their confidence and expertise did not disappoint! When I first saw our sweets table upon our grand entrance, I was blown away! They took a vision and completely exceeded expectation! The display was beautiful and flavor and consistency of everything, immaculate and delicious. I can not say more good about Kendra and Maureen and highly recommend them for any of your baking needs! -

My fiancee (now husband) and I did a cake tasting for our wedding with Kendra's Country Bakery back in 2020, we were were BLOWN away with how professional and kind Kendra and Maureen were, not only was everything offered in the tasting delicious, they took the time to listen to every detail we wanted on our wedding cake and offered a variety of price options that worked for our budget. Since then, I've ordered cakes and desserts from them for my father's 50th birthday, Christmas, bridal shower, sister's gender reveal, sister's baby shower, and I currently have an order in for my nephew's first birthday party! They are truly cake artists, each cake and dessert has been beautiful and every detail thoughtfully created. I plan to continue ordering cake and desserts from them for years to come and highly recommend them to anyone in need of professionally and beautifully created cakes and desserts. -

Amazing and Beautiful!
Words can't even describe how good and beautiful our cake and cupcakes were? I requested lemon cake infused with wild berry and carrot cake with caramel. It was amazing! The cake was decorated with love and care, the cupcakes had adornment as well. It was tasty and beautiful! Thank you!!! -

Perfect addition to our Mountain Wedding
My Husband and I were blown away by how perfectly Kendra and Maureen were able to bring our wedding vision to life. Everything looked and tasted amazingly...to the point that there was nothing to take home at the night except for a few pieces of cake.
Now for the showstopper, the grooms cake. Kendra and Maureen did such an amazing job on making a small welder out of a cake that folks actually thought someone forgot to put away a welder at the venue and then we had folks arguing over whether or not anything was plastic/real, but of course they were able to make all of the components edible and even included the safety sheet in the back.
Not only was their workmanship amazing, but they made you feel as if you had known them for years when talking to them which made working with them that much easier. The only thing that I wish is that they weren't 4 hours away from where we live so that we could use them for every celebration in our life, but I am sure we will find an excuse to use them again in the future. -

Kendra's bakery was truly incredible!!! They created a cookie/cupcake table "charcuterie" style". The display was absolutely breathtaking and the desserts were delicious. Genuine Kindness
I love this family! They are genuinely kind and that was such a nice touch for such an unprecedented time. Our wedding was delayed due to Covid and almost delayed a second time due to a wildfire evacuation. Reaching out to them was like talking to family, as a bride, that was priceless! Our cakes were stunning and the Gluten Free chocolate cake was the best cake I have ever had in my life! We also had the cinnamon rolls and puff pastry for our guests at breakfast. Hosted a family reunion an Kohl's Lodge for our "East Coast" family members. Each and EVERY guest raved about how delicious the cake was! Kendra and Mareen went above and beyond providing excellent service, excellent communication and as far as the cake... well THAT was OFF the chart DELICIOUS! They even threw in some outstanding cupcakes! Yummy!

Between the service, responsiveness, and quality of the cake and cupcakes they made us for our wedding, they are amazing! Even in the middle of covid Kendra and her daughter Maureen got back to me quickly and answered any questions that I had. We were even able to do taste testing which I thought we would have to miss out on given the pandemic. They had plenty of flavors to choose from that were all home made and to be honest were hard to pick from since they all tasted so good! We ended up doing 3 flavors for the cupcakes (chocolate espresso, italian vanilla with raspberry and red velvet with cream cheese frosting) and I had nothing but great reviews from our guests. The cake they made us turned out beautiful and exactly how we wanted it too! And of course tasted amazing! I would highly recommend using them for your wedding or any other special occasion. -

My experience with wedding cakes is they usually look much better than they taste. Kendra's Country Bakery showed me beautiful and delicious can coexist! Even the wedding guests who professed not to be “cake lovers” said it was the best they had ever tasted. One of my friends got up to dance and the server took her not-quite-finished slice away. She was devastated and that was pretty much all she talked about the rest of the evening (the friends were apparently expected to guard her slice). Kendra and Maureen provided expert consultation on the design and configuration. The cake was beautifully decorated and exactly as I imagined. -

There were a lot of flavor combinations to taste and they were all so good. Take your time and taste them all before you make a decision. They were very helpful with taking the images I had and creating my cake, which was EXACTLY what I wanted. Other than the cake, they were very communicative and professional. Sweet 65th birthday treat
I can’t say enough good things about Kendra and Maureen. They helped me arrange a special birthday treat for my mom during a very difficult time in her life. They were very responsive, fit the project in on short notice, and overall went above and beyond to make it a special occasion for my mom and family. And the cupcakes were insanely delicious AND beautiful! Not only are they talented, they also have huge hearts. -

The Perfect Wedding Cake Experience!
Kendra's was a preferred vendor for our venue in Strawberry, AZ, and we were pleased to see that they were able to create very beautiful, artistic cakes. My husband said he wanted a birch tree cake ever since we got engaged, so we practically decided Kendra's would be our choice as soon as we saw that they were great at making those!
We scheduled a tasting with them, as we weren't too sure on which flavors we wanted. They had sample plates all ready to go, and we were able to quickly choose what we wanted. It was a very smooth process!
The cake came out looking absolutely beautiful and so realistic! They really put a lot of attention to detail... even on the sugar flowers that were placed on the cake. All of our guests kept taking photos of it, and people still tell me how delicious it was!
I hope I get to order from them again in the future if I am ever staying in the area again... even if it's just for some cupcakes! -

High expectations that were exceeded in every way
I can not recommend Kendra's enough! Every step of this process was incredible starting with the tasting. Wedding cakes are generally pretty at the expense of losing flavor. This was not only the most beautiful cake we could have imagined but every one raved about how good it was. We wound up having to hide some just so we were able to keep a little as people were going back for seconds and thirds. We also ordered mini pies to go along with the cake and they were gobbled up before we even had a chance to eat one. They looked incredible and I heard they tasted even better. Thank you so much to everyone at Kendra's Country Bakery for a more than flawless cake/dessert experience. -

She wanted to get familiar with my tastes and colors. Kendra kindly reminded me no two cakes are identical, but she was certainly willing to help create what I found in my explorations. The cake testing was a neat experience! There were endless options and combinations. Kendra's team offered helpful suggestions on flavors, fillings, and frostings based on predicted wedding day conditions. Kendra's Country bakery was very helpful in providing options for different budgets. My cake was adorned with handmade sugar dahlias, roses, and greenery. However, fresh or silk flowers were also an option depending on the bride's preference or budget. Kendra went above and beyond to fit my needs for our special day. Our wedding was held in central Phoenix; over two hours away from her home bakery. Kendra and her team were able to deliver the cake in perfect condition. My fiance and I were relieved with the delivery options. Kendra truly went above and beyond to offer the best quality customer service. My cake was much more beautiful than I hoped for, not to mention delicious. As soon as I saw my cake, I could not stop smiling. It was perfect! I would highly recommend Kendra and her sweet family for your baked good needs. -

Liz Sent on 07/28/2018I want more... I cant stop thinking about that cake. The quality of service, let me start here, sensational! Above an beyond what I was expecting from a pro cake maker like Kendra and her girls. Kendra and her family invite you into their beautiful home, the garden is breath taking, than you walk inside. Jaw dropping from head too toe! You should see their kitchen! Its a bakers dream, or anyone who likes to cook lot.
Back to the wedding, Kendra and her girls where on time, like early on time. Fast and sneeky, I only saw for a moment, there where in and out like lightning. I loved it, all my guests where surprised and so exited too see them and the cake..... oh that cake... I still have some frozen (as tradition haha). But my husband and I eat that cake till it couldn't be eaten no more! The cake icing was untouched and so pretty that my husband and I were extra delicate when we cut it into a beautifully marbled vanilla and chocolate cake, with raspberry and vanilla icing. I might have to go unfreeze that piece before our year anniversary ;)
I loved that when ever the ladies had any questions they would directly text my phone, I preferred that way. They were helpful, patient and could see my idea as I spoke, we all got along so well! Bonus my parents were happy with our very first and last cake tasting!
Oh goodness I haven't told you the best part! So my bouquet had these roses that were yellow and orange in color to look like a sunset. Maureen saw spot on, she got the same exact color and flower to put on the cake for decoration!!! (Pictures are on their Facebook, we have the 4th of july wedding) My florist and cake designer didn't even comunicate, amazing!
I had a super tight budget when I found Kendra and her team. I went in with a open mind and I'm glad I did. Out of all this wedding experience I had, cake tasting was like the best fun I had planning everything!
