Lighthearted and joyful photos: Ken couldn't have nailed it any harder

I knew Ken Pak was the right choice when we first interviewed with him: he has a wonderful and silly spirit about him that really shines through in his photography. I've been going through our wedding photos probably hundreds of times now to send to friends and relatives, and I am struck by just how much he and his wife captured: I don't think there was a shot missing (and we had a huge guest list)! It's obvious how thoughtful he is in composition and the results are not only gorgeous, but also mirror the absolute joy of the day. He couldn't have nailed it any harder. We had an evening summer wedding: Ken went above and beyond (tirelessly in the hot July heat!), from fam group shots, ethereal golden hour photos, to some amazing shots of us spinning fire at night. I couldn't recommend him more.

Professional and creative photographer

We chose Ken for our wedding because of his creative and spontaneous style, and we’re very happy with our choice! Even though he hurt his back the week before our wedding, he was able to line up another professional photographer quickly for us who was able to cover the wedding day (and who we were also very happy with) and then Ken was able to show up for the reception onwards, the two of them did a great job capturing our special day in the style we wanted. We really appreciated Ken’s commitment to photographing for us, and making sure that everything went smoothly and worry-free for us on our wedding day - we would definitely recommend Ken!

An incredible and professional photographer!

Ken is really in a league of his own! He's creative, professional, and a ton of fun - we were the third wedding he worked on during Labor Day weekend, and he still brought as much energy and effort as he would have if we were the only wedding he had worked that weekend! He has a way with making people feel comfortable getting their pictures taken - he had our more reserved family members laughing and goofing around, which I really think helped them feel more relaxed about all the time they spent in front of the camera. We got the impression from our very first call with him - by the time we finished talking with him about our vision for our wedding photographer, we knew that he was going to be a perfect fit. Ken has a great eye for unique opportunities to take fun and interesting shots, and he's also excellent at more traditional couple's and family portraits. I'd absolutely recommend him - he's fantastic!

Really fun and talented photographers!

Ken Pak and his assistant Nona are incredible photographers! When we first reached out to Ken we told him that we are super comfortable with orchestrated photos but he found a way for us to have a good time for our engagement pictures and we were really comfortable heading into our wedding. A scheduling snafu led Nona to be the photographer in Ken's place on our Sangeet night, but she did a wonderful job. Ken and Nona were great about taking candid photos and not controlling our schedule in the way a number of other photographers we interviewed made us feel.

One of the best in the world

Ken Pak truly delivers with his photography! He gave us an amazing and fun experience for both our engagement shoot and wedding day. He has a very light hearted and funny nature, which makes you feel comfortable working with him, but he also takes his craft seriously, which delivers amazing and emotion filled photography. I will speak about our wedding day since that was the most recent. Ken arrived a bit earlier than he needed to, which was great because we got started right away! His second shooter went with the groom and Ken stayed with me and my bridal party. He made everyone feel comfortable and he easily interacted with the other vendors, which is important, especially for videography as they are both shooting the same content. Ken was able to move and get pictures that we didn’t even know were possible, as we didn’t even notice he was there for those moments. He is so creative, so put your full trust in his process. So far, we have received a sneak peek gallery for our wedding, and all we can say is WOW. It was so amazing, we can’t wait to see our full gallery and honestly believe he’s one of the best photographers in the world.

Amazing!! Highly Recommend

We hired Ken as our engagement and wedding photographer based on positive reviews and accolades we saw elsewhere, and we have to say that he absolutely deserves all the praise!! Ken was super down to Earth, took the time to get to know us as a couple, and of course provided us with the most amazing photos - both classic photos and also more unique and memorable shots that I think only he could produce. My favorite part about working with Ken is that he has a way of entertaining and bringing out genuine laughs out of those that he works with so that the smiles in all the shots are truly authentic and real. The videographer even told us during our wedding that "this man is a legend." We couldn't have been happier with Ken, and we highly recommend him to anyone.

Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved working with Ken because he cares deeply about his product and his clients. For those who aren’t used to getting their photo taken, it can be uncomfortable and tiring; however, Ken made us feel relaxed, comfortable, and energized because he brings so much joy and passion to what he does. Our guests are still talking about how Ken just dove right in, even taking people’s phones and teaching them how to take better pictures! We had no idea that a photographer could help make the wedding day even more enjoyable, but that is exactly what Ken did. And then when we got his photos, we were completely blown away at how amazing they were! He knows which photos to make black and white, when to add effects to accentuate movement, and how to make people shine. His photos are full of creative angles and lighting, which is exactly what we wanted. He is truly an artist who sees opportunity and can beautifully capture emotion and moments. Incredible

The best way to describe our wonderful experience with Ken has almost nothing to do with his incredible photographs. (yes the photographs were beyond our expectations, absolutely stunning, creatively shot, and looked better than a Vogue shoot.) First, you spend a lot of time with your photographer on your wedding day- that means that the most special moments between you and your spouse will include another person - Ken had us laughing ALL day and he made us have fun as we ran around the city taking our photos. We had a wonderful day because he made us feel comfortable around him, we felt happy having him be part of our day, and he literally felt like a family member. Speaking of family members, my 75 year old immigrant mother who is incredibly hard to please and who was a little on edge that we were having a non-denominational, non traditional wedding could not stop talking about Ken for weeks after the wedding. She said he was one of the best parts of the wedding. That day had been so emotional for her and she said Ken making her and all of us laugh during photos made her happy. So yes you should hire Ken because of his incredible photography talent but more importantly- if you want to spend one of the most important days of your life with someone warm, happy, and lovely that will make you, your spouse, and your family laugh and smile…. It’s Ken.

I can relive the whole day just by looking at the photos!

Hire Ken Pak Photography! The engagement, wedding morning getting ready, the ceremony and reception photos are some of the most beautiful, animated and fun photos we have ever seen! To say they were outstanding would be an understatement! There are no words adequate. They are art! Ken and his team, Nony and Eunhee, were everywhere but never interrupting or interfering with the flow of the day. So many guests stated how much they enjoyed them! Thank you so much Ken, Nony and Eunhee.
As the Mother of the Bride, I have relived and retold many stories about our daughter’s marriage. It was one of the happiest weekends of our lives. The wedding ceremony was held at Dahlgren Chapel, on Georgetown Campus, and the reception was at Sequoia DC in November 2021. At the end of each retelling I close with, “I would not change a thing.” I must give credit where credit is due.

Ken is an Artist

There are not enough ways to describe how amazing it is to have Ken Pak as your wedding photographer; I feel truly lucky to be able to say he was there. From the very first time you meet him, you know that he is not just any other photographer. He shines in the untraditional and fun, and ever picture we have received conveys so much more than the pose. He cares about your story and wants to be part of it, and highlight it through the pictures. My husband and I are very awkward in front of a camera, but he made it fun and I truly will cherish all of the pictures Ken captured.
The main thing that jumps out at me in the pictures is the joy Ken managed to capture. A lot of that has to do with how comfortable he made us all feel. Ken truly felt like a part of the wedding and reception and I cannot picture doing it over again without him right there!

The absolute best!

To say that Ken is simply a wedding photographer would be a lie; when you hire Ken for your wedding, you get the Ken Pak experience! Ken's photography is in a league of its own. With Ken as your photographer, you will not have wedding photos; you will have a work of art commemorating your special day.

Everyone loved him! My husband and I, our guests, the hotel staff, the people on the street walking by the hotel - I mean EVERYONE! It is impossible to not be in the best mood when you're working with Ken. Over a month after our wedding, our guests are still raving about how cool Ken is!

Ken knows how to be present and how to be part of the background; he is the consummate professional and an incredibly gifted and talented photographer. We had a morning wedding, and even at that early hour, Ken's energy was boundless. If you haven’t had your wedding yet, DEFINITELY hire Ken as your photographer. Wonderful Experience with Ken. Highly Recommend

There aren't enough words to express how happy we are with Ken Pak Photography. He was recommended by our wedding planner and we loved his work immediately. Meeting him in person only made us want to work with him more. He has wonderful enthusiasm and it shows in his craft. We did both an engagement session and wedding photos with him. He is a great candid photographer (along with the typical portraits of course). Ken is able to capture the mood of what he shooting. Whether it is emotional, playful, light, or dark--whatever it is, he is able to capture its essence, which really makes him stand out. He has a sharp eye and can catch even the smallest detail and turn it into something wonderful. There were times when we were not sure what we were doing, but he guided us along, and if you trust his process--you won't be disappointed!

Ken was also very accommodating--especially with our rescheduling due to COVID-19. We also had a few more components to capture including two ceremonies, the dinner reception, and a surprise trolley tour. So we were a complicated bunch, but Ken rolled with it. We are very grateful that he was able to capture all these moments and more.

Ken also provided a fast turn around time. We shared them with friends and family and they were all delighted!

For us, choosing a photographer was one of the most important components of our wedding since we knew we would be cherishing these photos in the future. Ken Pak did a great job and we highly HIGHLY recommend him.

You NEED Ken Pak Photography!!!

We were fortunate enough to have Ken Pak Photography do our engagement and wedding photos! I have so many wonderful things to share here... Ken Pak was outstanding to work with in so many ways, and his work is every bit as impressive and awesome as he is! From our first meeting back in 2019, to postponing our wedding, then changing our venue 2 months out, Ken was gracious and flexible at every turn 2020 threw our way. You can look at his website or social media and see what a unique and talented perspective his work has, but what I want to highlight here is what an amazing person and professional he is. Our guests are still raving about how much fun they had with our photographer and how hard he hustled all day and night to capture every moment. You cannot believe how hard Ken and his team work, you will feel like he is everywhere all at once (but never interfering with your event). Once we got our nearly 3000 photos back, we can confirm, Ken and team must have been in the floorboards, swinging from the rafters, and somehow invisibly hiding in all the small, quiet moments. From a value perspective I feel like it's worth mentioning that those 3000 photos were all beautifully and fully edited, ready for digital posting or large print with no "proof" or hoops to jump through. He does a great job engaging with everyone, making you feel comfortable, and pulling emotions out to capture all the fun and sentimental moments. Your wedding day will fly by, there will be things you miss or wish you had paid close attention to. A great photographer is worth your investment because they will capture the whirlwind for you and your family to relive, reflect on, and enjoy for years to come! Ken is amazing... hire him!

Ken is amazing! Initially, we weren't going to have a full wedding photographer because we had a very small wedding, and 15 photos were included with the package we chose. With that said, our friends gifted us with Ken for our photos because they knew we would look back and wish we had more than 15. In a nutshell: I'm speechless. Ken was SO great to work with! Our pictures turned out beautifully and he was genuinely such a fun photographer to work with. When I look through these photos (over and over, btw), the pure joy and happiness shines through in his work. On top of our beautiful photos, my family couldn't stop talking about how amazing he was, and how they'd never had such a fun wedding photo experience in all their years! Still in awe of our wedding photos!

I was a bridesmaid in a wedding that Ken and his team photographed back in 2014 and his photos, by far, have been some of the best that I have seen. When I got engaged, I knew that I wanted to have Ken as the photographer for my wedding. Even when our big plans were changed due to COVID-19, there was still no question that we wanted Ken as our photographer for our mini ceremony. Throughout the wedding day, Ken and his team were prompt, professional, and fun! What really stood out to me during that day was their boundless enthusiasm and creativity while taking our photos. As my husband and I look through our photos, we continue to be impressed at how artistic and creative the photos turned out to be and how he was able to take a simple background and turn it into something beautiful. Ken and his team were also able to capture all of the little details of our wedding in a fun way and also all the sweet candid moments we had. Talented is an understatement. He's the best!

I cannot recommend Ken enough. As someone who loves photography and can be very picky when it comes to photography, Ken's photos really stood out to me when we were looking for photographers for our wedding. After doing more research and looking at more photos we decided to work with him for our engagement shoot and wedding day, which was the best decision. To say he is talented seems like an understatement. His photos are absolute perfection. He has an impeccable eye for detail and for catching some of the most beautiful candid moments. Ken is a wonderful photographer. He has such an amazing eye for personal perspective and artistic wedding photos. You can tell that his background Fine Arts. He doesn't come cheap but I was willing to splurge and make adjustments in my budget to have Ken be my photographer. Wedding photos are something that you'll have forever to remember one day, one very special day, in your life.

Ken is ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE and most certainly one of the greatest wedding photographers IN THE WORLD! How would I know....I'm a wedding photographer myself. Not only has he won every major photography award on the planet, he is one of the most laid back and funniest chaps around. Our experience with him was phenomenal and the photos truly capture our loving relationship. Ken is simply AMAZING!

I don't know where to begin with Ken and his assistant Noni. They were absolutely amazing. The level of expertise, creativity, and stamina were truly remarkable. From the beginning Ken was more than willing to work with us on price and availability. This was tremendously helpful to us. On the day of he surprised me at my hotel to get some pre wedding photos. It's those little things that are truly appreciated. The types of photos he was able to achieve were out of this world. He stayed late after the wedding was over to get some great night photos of us with special lighting. Even when I was tired Ken was still lively. He worked so hard I don't even think he stopped to eat even though my caterer had food set aside for them. I received so many compliments from guests and other vendors regarding his expertise and skill. Everyone raved and is still raving about his work and we haven't even received our photos back yet. That speaks volumes to who he is as a person, and professional. Ken and Noni were full of life and kept us all smiling. I can't say enough good things about them. The only thing I will say is, he is worth every penny and if you want someone on your team truly working for you, caring about the details, and to deliver the goods, please do yourself a favor and hire Ken and his team. You will not be disappointed. I can't fathom our day being a success without him. He's a part of our wedding family that we will never forget!!!!

Ken Pak was absolutely amazing! He was constantly taking pictures- making sure each and every moment of our big day was captured! Ken's creativity has blown us away and he always made time for our traditional requests as well. We are so glad we chose Ken for our wedding photography needs. Not only does he have a great artistic eye, but he has a great personality as well. Ken is a superb photographer -- if you like the journalist, natural style photographer, who has a truly fine eye for a beautiful photo, Ken is your man. He also puts people at ease, moves quickly through any staged shots, and has a great sense of fun, so you truly enjoy having him participate in the wedding. Ken is very busy, but nonetheless very responsive, and highly responsible. His pictures captured the essence of our daughter's wedding day - a precious gift!

Ken Pak was the best choice I made in my wedding planning! I was planning from across the country and had only one day to meet my vendors and see the venue. He gave an excellent presentation and was reasonably priced for our Sunday wedding. He even brought a second shooter to help out. I'm so happy we chose him and we'll be coming back to get our photo albums done by Ken!

KEN IS AMAZING!

We met with several photographers, but Ken.... He is truly an artist! At our first meeting he met us well prepared, he was funny, loving and very professional. After we walked out of the meeting, we look at each other and said, "done".

At the hotel where we were getting married he was AMAZING, THOUGHT OUT OF THE BOX, SPONTANEOUS, IMAGINATIVE, a DARE-DEVIL (lol). We also had a secondary photographer, Ken's friend and he too was GREAT. The groomsmen told me he had them in stitches and just as "out of the box" as Ken. If you want fun, artistic and most of all photos that capture those singular moments of "love in action", your mom brushing your hair, your bridesmaid maybe asleep (that actually happened lol), your sister staring at you when you don't even know it... Ken gets that. I guess what I appreciated the most, was Ken. He is a phenomenal at what he does, he loves every minute of it and in every minute of him photographing you, love and appreciate him more. There wasn't an angle he didn't miss or a moment he didn't catch or a creative photo he didn't create.

The first photo I saw.... I fell in love!!! It was literally perfect. Then I saw the photo of my first dance with my father, ugh.. I cried!!!! I t was so beautiful and caught him telling me a joke and his smile is priceless! He truly captured us and our day perfectly from the moment he arrived until he left at the end of the reception. Let's just say whatever comes next with us, Ken will be the photographer! I would and highly recommend him!

Hiring Ken was the best decision I made for my wedding! I would 100% recommend him to anyone! I have no complaints about him or his work! We used him for both our engagement and wedding photos and they are the best pictures I have ever seen and there are thousands of them... all beautiful and unique. We got married in late August 2015, I am the happiest bride ever! Ken was patient, professional, out of the box artistic and just amazing fun to work with. Our engagement session was a humid, rainy and cranky day; somehow he took the most beautiful pictures and captured who we are as a couple. Ken and his assistant were all over the place, never missed a moment, they also were able to handle our family every time things got a little crazy.
If you want your pictures to look amazing, you should definitely hire him! Ken is anything but average! His pictures truly show and capture the moment; I will never forget my wedding and what I felt because of these beautiful fun images!

It was a joy to have Ken photograph our civil wedding ceremony. We were blown away by the photos he took. Ken has an artist's eye, he's creative, and he has tricks up his sleeve that put us at ease and had us laughing throughout the short time we were with him. In the moment, I questioned some of Ken's choices of location, but boy am I glad I put my reservations aside and let him take charge. He knew the area around the DC courts so well and took a variety of beautiful photos outdoors, in the National Gallery, and elsewhere. Ken knew the Nat'l Gallery so well that he waited for the perfect light pattern to take photos of us by the moving walkway between the two wings of the building - the result was amazing! At the end, Ken took a few portraits of me, my husband, and my stepdaughter, "just in case we might need them," and they turned out to be some of our favorite photos of each other. None of us love being in front of a camera lens, but Ken's made us look totally natural, and he captured the joy of our special day.

Ken has been nothing but helpful, accommodating, flexible and understanding of our engagement and upcoming nuptials. He is responsive to calls/emails/requests and very funny as well.

I will say that one of my main reasons for picking him aside from his talent is that he has had experience with Chinese/Vietnamese weddings. They're large and our parents can be demanding about some of the photographic elements but he's done it and I'm confident he's going to do it again when my big day comes.

I would highly recommended him and would definitely use him again (I even have friends that have said they'd do their wedding all over again just to have him take their photos again lol).

We adore Ken. He did our engagement photos and spent 4 days with us during our wedding weekend. He is absolutely worth the hype and money. He has a fantastic eye and we appreciate all the work he has done for us. Shout out to Nony because she was easy to work with and has a great eye as well.

What can I say about Ken Pak that hasn't already been said? His talent and heart shows through in every capture. Ken Pak is truly an artist!!! He is so great, his work is absolutely amazing! What a wonderful photographer! Ken takes perfect pictures!

My husband and I ran into Ken when we were looking for venues. We loved his personality and how fun and professional he is. We didn't look any further and signed up with him.
Fast forward to the engagement pictures, Ken did above and beyond what we expected. We went to a few spots in DC and boyyy! the pictures were amazing.

On our wedding day, he was at the venue earlier than he promised and he even cut from his dinner time when we wanted a few pictures with our friends. Both Ken and his assistant have very pleasant personality, and at the same time focused on taking great pictures, yet not being in your face all the time.

He communicated with us throughout and totally took the vision and what we liked in pictures and transferred it to our pictures.

The best part is that the day after our engagement picture session and only ONE day after our wedding, with our permission, he posted a few pictures on his facebook. We loved it! because it will take a while for pictures to come out and in the meantime, we have some wonderful professional high quality pictures to share with our family and friends.

Ken is absolutely fantastic!

Oh Ken Pak. How are you so talented?! The only times I teared up at my wedding were during the vows and just taking a peek at the PHENOMENAL pictures Ken was taking throughout the day. Ken and his assistant Nony were so fast and upbeat you really couldn't ask for anything more. The sneak peeks Ken posted the NEXT DAY are all my guests commenting on. His creativity and personality are all a bride could ever dream of for their wedding day. He's so sweet and fun to work with and really makes you feel comfortable in front of the camera. Ken Pak and his assistant were amazing. I can not wait to see all of my pictures. He was all about the bride and groom! At one point, it began to sprinkle and I started freaking out about my hair and makeup possibly being compromised; he expressed that it wasnt raining enough yet to not get this particular shot he wanted. That made me feel really awesome, that he really cared about getting particular shots that he knew my husband and I would want, and a little sprinkle couldn't stop that! He came earlier than he said, and stayed until the party was over! He was fun, and made us all feel very comfortable. He was upfront about pricing, and made sure he knew what kind of photography we wanted. We are very pleased with our choice of photographer. Thanks Ken!

If you are still looking for a photographer... LOOK NO MORE! Ken Pak is IT. He is beyond amazing. His pictures are breathtaking and you can see the passion he has for photography right through his lens. If you need proof, just check out his website and facebook page. I still don't know how we managed to book him! He travels everywhere for weddings and somehow we snatched him up in little old woodbridge. Ken photographed booth our engagement shoot and wedding day. My friends and family can't stop talking about his work. Ken and his assistant do everything in their power to capture candid and quality moments. I cannot wait until all of our wedding photos arrive. He uses what is around him to take phenomenal and creative shots. He also made us feel comfortable and made the whole experience so much fun. Ken Pak is amazing amazing amazing. My mother in law and I met him at a bridal show and knew instantly that he was the one! Ken was flexible, professional, responsive, and beyond creative the entire time that we worked with him. We chose to have two engagement shoots with Ken and both turned out GREAT. Ken made us feel comfortable while also sticking with our ideas and finding amazing angles/shots constantly. Our families and friends (and us!) were blown away by these pictures and so we obviously could not wait to see how he would capture our big day. And WOW! Our wedding photos are so beautiful that I cannot even put it into words. Ken captured so much love and happiness that I cry every time I go through them- which is often! The best part is that my groom and I got to enjoy our wedding with minimal posing; as Ken is a master at capturing beautiful, memorable moments as they are occurring. Ken Pak was our wedding photographer and also did a separate photo shoot with us for our engagement photos. Both the wedding pictures and the engagement pictures came out amazing. When we met with him, two other couples at the coffee shop randomly stopped to tell us that he was the best photographer ever, and we were not disappointed.

He got so many amazing shots of our wedding, including the prep, the ceremony and the reception; he just has a tremendous eye for how a picture will turn out that I don't think a lot of photographers have. Both the staged photos and the spontaneous ones came out great. From over 2,000 photos, we could count on one hand the ones that were less than terrific.

If you are hiring Ken, my wife and I also suggest that you buy his photo-booth service for your reception. Our guests loved it and it provided a ton of fun and some really hilarious photos of our guests, which was nice especially because at your wedding reception you'll never have enough time to spend with everyone you want to see. The photo-booth served as kind of a visual guest book.

Ken is such an amazing photographer to work with. His artistic eye is definitely a worthwhile investment for your wedding day. Not only is he extremely accommodating and friendly, but he truly cares about you and wants to ensure that everything that is important to you is captured. He has great attention to detail. All of the guests loved him. I had an long wedding day (traditional tea ceremony + church ceremony + reception), so my guests had time to get to know and observe his team and his work throughout the day. The bridal party enjoyed him, as well.
Be sure to set up a meeting with him asap if you are interested! He books fairly quickly due to his increasing popularity.

Ken was a miracle worker in our engagment session when it snowed the day before instead of having cherry blossoms blooming in DC as was planned. Ken and his team are outstanding. They captured every minute of our wedding using creative approaches that make the pictures more interesting. I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed working with Ken and how hard he worked for us on the wedding day. Both Ken and his second photographer (Eric Lee) showed up well in advance of our booked time, and stayed at the reception well after the hours we paid for. Ken came running to us during the reception to let us know of a beautiful sunset at that it would be a great picture for us; that just shows he's there for you and to capture the best moments he can. We are also pleased with the contract we signed with him, he was very flexible and did not try to sell us all these gadgets and flashy things. It was about taking photographs. That was refreshing considering the nightmare sessions we had with others when looking for a photographer. Ken was very creative. That's why we picked him. I'm sure if we wanted more standard photos he would have gone with that as well. He also had a great personality, which helped some of our bridal party members come out of their shells a bit (much needed!). So far we have seen the sneak peak photos via facebook, and love what we see on there. We have not received the full set yet, but if what we see on facebook is a testament to what's to come we are extremely pleased and will look to Ken in the future should we need to hire a professional photographer again!

Ken Pak Photography truly went above & beyond what we were expecting- arriving early, staying late, snapping AMAZING shots even when we had no idea the moments were being captured. We had an outdoor wedding & were looking for more candid shots that traditional wedding poses. Ken took the limited direction we gave and somehow captured the entire day and night on film in ways that blew us away. We have actually had people ask us if he is a friend, because the photography really seems to show the personalities, relationships, and sentiments of myself, my husband, & our family & guests on film. Ken is very skilled & knowledgeable of the use of natural & other lighting to capture the best shots. He knew just when to get my husband and I to quickly snap sunset shots that have turned out to be some of my favorite! Eric was our 2nd photographer and we all found him to be equally great at making everyone comfortable around the camera and snapping fantastic shot. He photographed our rehearsal dinner and we practically had to beg him to put the camera down and get a bite of food. Our pastor asked that no one get between the wedding party and our guests during the ceremony, specifically the photographers. They were so discrete & creative I do not remember seeing them almost at all during the ceremony, but the quality and quantity of the photos was not compromised one bit! I still have no idea how they did this!
Ken Pak Photography was amazing. I cannot recommend them more highly. One of the best things about them was how comfortable & connected to each moment they allowed us to be. They truly enhanced our wedding experience and now we have incredible photos that completely capture our wedding to enjoy for years to come. We did not get what we paid for with Ken Pak Photography… we got SO much more! Thank you Ken and Eric. You guys ROCK!!

Ken Pak Photography was recommended from a friend. Ken and his team were wonderful on the day of my wedding. I planned my wedding in ONLY 23 days, and Ken was available and was able to accommodate my wedding needs with my budget.

I'm so happy we found Ken for our big day! We just received our wedding photos and they look absolutely incredible. He captured EVERYTHING! I felt like I didn't see him the entire night, meaning he isn't one of those photographers that is in your face the entire night and then we see all these pictures and I'm like where was he hiding the whole time?! :) He truly captured the spirit of the day- you can see the happiness beaming through peoples faces in every picture. I'm so glad we have all these photos to reminisce forever. He is so talented at what he does and you won't regret using him!!

The best thing I can say about him is that he is incredibly creative. We have a lot of good photographers in our family with nice cameras so I was really looking for someone with the extra touch and ideas and creativity for unique pictures for my wedding. Ken definitely had that (and more!) and he definitely delivered! He's a little hard to get a hold of sometimes (he has so many people who want him!) but we are very happy with our decision and I've already recommended him to all my friends getting married!

ps. the package he sent us with the DVDs of our pictures were so nice! All customized and beautiful! Very nice surprise for us :)

When my wife and I were planning our destination wedding, we both decided that our pictures and videos would be the most important investment. Ken Pak was so incredibly creative and inspirational in documenting our wedding. Our family and friends have been literately speechless when they see our wedding photos and videos. The way he was able to capture our emotions and unique style without overly complicated poses and direction was a dream come true. His advertising slogan says it all: "Simple yet Elegant, Modern yet Timeless".

That was what we wanted and that was what he delivered not only the final products (photos and albums) but also the experiences with Ken and his team.

He is passionate about what he does. I can tell photography is not only his job, but his passion of life. He made photo shooting so easy and fun for us. We are camera shy, but it turned out to be nothing but smooth and fun experience for us on the photo session days working with him. Yet the photos came out so elegant and beautiful.

Ken and his crew were very professional. On the wedding day, Ken and his team captured every detail and moment of the wedding event without interfering with any guest or scene. I have no doubt that these snapshots will be timeless yet modern in our album.

Communicating with him was and still is a breeze. He is very responsive via email/call. Whenever I had a question/concern, he answered right away with a solution or a suggestion.

I definitely recommend him to those who need a photographer for their memorable moments.

Ken is fantastic and a super talented photographer! Ken came highly recommended by many friends and co-workers who did not even know eachother! We met with a few photographers, but knew that Ken was our guy! He is so funny, friendly, and very patient! He has a great eye and captures moments and images that you didn't even think were possible! I'm not very good at posing for pictures, but Ken always made me feel relaxed and helped me with where i should look, where my hands should go, how i should stand, etc.

We are so happy that we chose Ken and although we've only seen a few teaser pics on FB (posted very very quickly).....what we've seen so far are amazing and we can't wait to see the rest!! We also can't wait for him to continue capturing more special moments in our lives.

We felt like we hit the jackpot with Ken as our photographer- he was incredibly professional, responsive to questions before and after the wedding, and funny- very funny! He made us and our guests laugh as he took our pictures, which meant that all of the smiles in our pictures were and looked real. Additionally, this is a fairly personal preference, but Ken lets the quality of his photos speak for themselves- he doesn't splash his name all over the pictures the way other photographers have taken to doing these days. I loved that!

In addition to mastering the technical craft of photography… clean exposures, accurate color and being consistent throughout the wedding day (which he did beautifully), Ken is gifted in the art of photography.

The art of photography is shown in the emotional response to a photograph… excitement, joy, happiness. Ken has the ability to be in the right place at the right time to capture that perfect shot. Ken also has the skill and insight to bring people together, in a perfect situation, to create that perfect shot. I have so many favorites and too many photos to count.

Ken Pak is the hardest working photographer I have ever met. Not only does he do everything possible to get that perfect shot, he also helps to keep the whole event on schedule… no small task.

Run, run, run, to book Ken and his team. I cannot recommend Ken enough - in terms of style, timeliness, being a fun person to be around, and direction of the photos. He is also just pushy enough to get us some awesome pictures (since we are not people that love getting our photos taken, which is tough on your wedding day)! To top it off, we felt he was fairly priced and a great vendor to work with negotiating as well. It was VERY nice to not feel taken advantage of when booking a package of different photo/video services. Finally, even my parents commented on how great he was and how funny. We first met Ken at a wedding open house event and right away we could tell that he was "Best-In-Class" in regards to how he presents his business and how he captures memories for his clients.

So what makes Ken different?

1. Personable: Ken is so friendly that I felt like I had known him for years. This made us feel very comfortable when taking pictures. We couldn't help but laugh and smile when he asked us to "whisper in each others ears", or as he jokingly asked my wife to "put your hands on his 6 pack abs" (even though I have nothing of the sort!) lol! Ken has a great sense of humor; he is sincere; honest; humble; and most importantly, he cares about the happiness of his clients.

2. Professional: Ken knows how to position himself at the best angles, with the best lighting, at just the right time. Ken uses professional quality equipment and he is an expert with the technical features; his technical expertise allows him to capture the most exciting images imaginable.

3. Creative: Ken doesn't just take pictures, he brings still images to life. The portraits of us "posing for the camera" focused around capturing our personalities and our love for each other - not just quality images of 2 people next to each other. When we weren't posing, Ken captured memories as if he were a ghost right beside us. Ken found movement and emotions, he froze it all in time, and he gave it back to us to so we could reminisce whenever we choose. - we are so happy couldn't ask for more.

My advice to those in the market for a photographer: If you are hesitant after reading Ken's reviews and looking at his online portfolio, go talk with him at a open house like we did to see his work in person. You may have heard the saying "no one is perfect"; however, in my opinion, Ken Pak Photography is as close to perfect as one can get.

Ken absolutely made our small intimate wedding come to life with his amazing images. He stood out with us on a cold February afternoon to capture some amazing pictures of us in the snow. He has an amazing eye and knows exactly what will work for each shot. He was dedicated to making sure we had a day to remember and did it all with a smile and made us laugh along the way. Ken and his crew are PHENOMENAL. Choosing them was easily one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We met with four other photographers before stumbling upon Ken at an open house, but it only took a few minutes of talking to him to know that we had found our guy.

Right from the beginning, Ken was easy to work with and very no nonsense. We told him what we wanted and he offered us not only the best price, but also the best value for our money. Even after we had signed the contract, he went out of his way to help us prepare, going far above and beyond what I would have expected of any photographer. Ken truly cares about his clients.

On our wedding day, Ken and his crew were focused and organized. They were at the venue before we arrived and were still snapping photos after the guests had left and we were getting into our car. They were very discreet during the ceremony and yet still managed to get amazing pictures. During the reception, they jumped right in and were part of the fun. Our guests were entertained just watching them work!

It wasn’t long after the wedding that Ken uploaded a gallery of highlights that we could share with our family and friends. The photos we received, and there are a lot of them, really capture the spirit of the day. Most importantly, the editing is both classy and judicious, so I know our photos will look as good in 25 years as they look today.

So if it’s not already obvious, I wholeheartedly recommend Ken Pak Photography! Ken is one of a kind. You should really book him before someone else does.

Ken is so much fun to work with and the quality of his photos is unbelievable! He is also very responsive to questions via email and so quick in turnaround time. We had our engagement photos back in less than 2 weeks, and after our wedding we had 50 teaser photos within 4 days! Ken is so accommodating and flexible, and you can tell he really loves what he does. Not only does that show in his demeanor but also in the beauty of his work. I discovered Ken when one of my friends raved about his work and showed me his website-- and I was immediately sold! Ken is very passionate about his work and he brings a lot of energy and hustle when he arrives on your wedding day. Mr. Ken Pak is a wedding saver!

My original photographer had practically ruined our entire photo session, including the candid shots we had on the day of the wedding. While my wife and I were extremely disappointed and dumbstruck on what to do about the situation, my aunt recommended Mr. Ken Pak.

Hear our situation, he was generous enough to make our own specialized package and took the most amazing pictures. My wife and I felt like movie stars. He has art flowing through his veins. While making us completely comfortable, and ensuring we are enjoying every moment of the photo shoot, he gave us more than what we could have imagined. Our contract said 4 hours of photos, but he stuck with us through 9 hours to ensure we were fully satisfied.

I am grateful to Mr. Ken Pak, not just as a photographer, but someone who saved us from our disappointment we had from our original photographer.

I should add that even though he got done for the day of the shoot at well over 9:00PM, plus having to drive back to his office, he was generous enough edit and send us samples of the shoot that evening. He also customized a frame and hand delivered it to the airport the next day. I cannot thank him enough.

I guarantee you he will go above and beyond for your wedding and you will not regret his services. He's passion is not just photography, but the bride's satisfaction as well.

I loved working with Ken Pak and his team for my wedding. We used Ken for our engagement photos and our wedding ceremony and reception. He and his team were amazing. Ken is so talented and really took his time with us for taking pictures. We wanted to take pictures early on in order to post them on our website, but we also wanted to take pictures when it got warmer (in the springtime). Ken was so flexible and allowed us two engagement photo sessions - he took some shots just for us to use on our website first, and then scheduled another longer session where we could take some more pictures. The first shoot wasn't the best, weatherwise since it was raining, but the pictures still turned out wonderfully! The second set of photos also turned out beautifully. Ken was fun to work with, as he makes you feel comfortable and gives you tips on posing. I can get pretty camera-shy but we both felt great working with him. He was also wonderful on the day of the wedding as he was extremely flexible - the weather was iffy, but we still managed to take some wonderful outdoor shots. When I wanted to get some other pictures with family and friends, he was able to make that happen. He remained calm the whole time and made sure that we got plenty of photos with our loved ones. He was there to capture all of the special moments, and I am sure the pictures will turn out fabulous. He is also very on top of the equipment and several guests mentioned that they had never seen a photographer so equipped with such specialized equipment. And a special touch - Ken brought his huge computer monitor and set it on our guest book/gift table to display a slideshow of our engagement photos. It was a beautiful touch that we never requestd, but added something to our reception area - loved it!! Can't wait to see the wedding photos and the video from our special day. I would highly recommend Ken!!!

All I can say is that Ken Pak is amazing! He is so fun to work with. We used him for our engagement photos and also our wedding. I am one who is slightly camera shy. He made us feel so comfortable and we had a great time both during both photo shoots. Our engagement pictures turned out great. I had so many people asking where we got them done and complimenting them. He has such a unique style. Mr. Ken Pak is wonderful. He makes you feel so comfortable, like an old family friend. Our bridal session took place in the early fall and the weather was freezing (38 degrees!) and raining. I was bummed because the weather was so uncooperative, however Mr. Ken made me forget about all of the disadvantages to the weather. He managed to utilize the little sunshine that was peeking out of the clouds to make our photos look like it was a perfectly sunny day outside.

Our engagement session was also a cold, gloomy, cloudy day and we were stuck in traffic for 2 hours getting to our location. The traffic and the weather must have taken its toll on us because our engagement photos were not to our liking. Mr. Ken being super, rescheduled a makeup session (in the Spring!) and we just had a blast in this session. We had our makeup session a month before our wedding and he had the pictures up online in less than week; we so appreciated this!

His prices are reasonable and for his quality of work even if he charged more we would still have chosen him as our photographer. Even though we have yet to see our wedding day pictures, my expectations are high because I know the quality of work Mr. Ken and his staff put into their pictures.

To all brides, I loved the work that Ken Pak and his team provided. So much so that I cancelled my previous contract with another photographer to use Ken instead losing my $1K deposit to sign up with Ken! I wasn't 100% positive and confident that they'd deliver the results I wanted for this one day and I felt that confidence and enthusiasm with Ken after I met him for our video. When I saw the photography work he did i just had to cancel with the other vendor as his work spoke to the exact feeling I wanted captured in my photos. My favorite thing about his pictures was that he was great ath captureing unique pictures, angles, lighting, moments and the ACTION shots!! I loved his action shots with movement and it told a story. I specifically asked for those on my wedding day and they came out great. The best feeling was that I wholeheartedly trusted he and his team to capture the images on my very special day and I'm still goign throug the 3000+ pictures I received!! Whew!

He was great at making tihngs move along and "managing" those special friends/relatives that were time suckers and distracted us from our schedule.. He'd snap a pic quickly to make them happy and then keep moving.. very clever ;) Especially with our massive amount of family it takes time, patience and a great director to have people moving, happy and orderly. It was sort of hot and humid out that day so we wanted to move quickly!

He takes some posed shots and then lots of candid shots. I loved having his team around me and working with us all day ! I just wish we signed with him from the get go and it would've been less stress to switch to him :)

If you're having a korean wedding he is HIGHLY recommended! He helped greatly with our guests/family and also the korean ceremony vendor whihc was a huge relief.. Honeslty he's a seasoned professional and knows what he's doing so it helps greatly in relying on him to know what's going on. he speaks korean too so that helps tremendously of course :)

I recommend having a list of your must have shots and to provide him that feedback.. I haven't received my video yet so I can't comment on it but I'm sure it'll look great! Ask for custom packages if you need something outside of his out of the box packages to make sure it fits your needs :) Enjoy!

My husband used Ken Pak and his team at VisualSketch for our engagement photos, wedding photos and wedding videography. We LOVED the quality of our pictures and Ken's attention to detail. Literally people who have seen our wedding photos say they should be in a wedding magazine. Ken did a great job! He was so flexible and truly helped us capture our wedding's events at various locations. He was able to capture the beauty of our large cathedral like church (Corpus Christi); however, we also have pictures that make it feel intimate and captured our first kiss, emotion, etc. We have pictures in front of the inner harbor which are gorgeous! Pictures capturing our family and friends with use... the little moments: laughs, a sneaked kiss, dancing, etc. Truly we felt our wedding was captured beautifully by Ken and his team. Ken is such an amazing artist! His work is unbelievable.
Very professional and flexible. We had to reschedule many of our sessions prior to the wedding and he was very responsive and flexible. They set up a screen at the wedding so all the guests could see the photos that were shot before the wedding as well as photos that they shot through out the wedding day. I highly recommend Ken and his studio to any and every bride looking for a photographer who is easy to work and takes beautiful pictures.

All my guests LOVED all the pictures that were taken.

MUST USE!! This company is an absolute hire! Our guests even complimented the photographers before the night was over.
There is nothing that we can write that would capture how great Ken is as a photographer, business owner, and artist. He really enjoys what he does, and it is evident in his work.

Pay the extra money to upgrade and include the wedding slide show, engagement photos, and canvas display board. We didn't do the videography (money constraints), but if you can afford it, splurge.

This service is definitely money well spent. We need to wait a couple weeks to see the final wedding shots, but the previews (and engagement shots) were AMAZING!

Ken Pak and his team of photographers were great! I can't wait to see my photos when he posts them online. Ken is very flexible and is responsive. We've had to cancel an Engagement shoot numerous times due to weather and he was always ok with that. On our Wedding day, he was there at the exact time I asked and stayed until the end. We definitely got what we paid for and couldn't be happier.

Ken Pak/Visualsketch photography was sooooo good!!!! We got so many compliments of their service. They seemed to be everywhere, at the right moment, taking the best shots, at all times! They were flexible, and professional. I met with about 5 or 6 photographers before making my selection, and I KNOW I made the right choice. My photos were absoutely gorgeous. After receiving them, I did not like the finish I picked out for one of my bigger prints. Ken Pak sent me another copy, with a different finish, at no cost!!!!, plus I got to keep the other one. Visualsketch is the ONLY photographer I will ever use for an event or for professinal pictures. Oh...also..I never got a chance to do my engagment session, however they are giving me a rain check for a later date of my choice. I LOVE THEM!!!!

Ken is the best photographer I've worked with!!! The pictures are top quality, and he really captured each moments artistically! Unlike some typical postures you'd see elsewhere, the pictures are so alive and creative!

He is also fun to work with, we were so at ease and laughed a lot! We did two hours of engagement shooting in old town Alexandria--the best pictures we'd ever had! and he was with us the whole wedding day--more hours than I expected! Ken is definitely a professional!

Overall, I highly recommend Ken, you will get much much more than what you paid for!

What can I say....These are the Alfred Eisenstaedt or the Ansel Adams for the new era. An eye for talent...I think so!! My wife and I found Ken with the help of Jade Lee at Kama wedding. Upon initial viewing of their portfolios, we were hooked. However, being the savy shoppers as we had to be within our budget, we shopped the entire local wedding circuit and concluded there is nothing like Visual Sketch. The album design to engagement photos to wedding pictures----phenomenal. Jay was our master photographer the night of the wedding and he took time to not only meet us, but to brainstorm and ask what kind of shots we were looking for. Jay even stayed around later then he needed to in order to capture every last memory for us. He and his team of photographers are second to none! Ken and his staff at Visual Sketch Studios are wonderful to work with. His pictures are beautiful and tailored to reflect the personalities of the person/couple, instead of being "cookie-cutter" pictures. Ken has an easy going personality, making an 8 hour photo shoot in a huge wedding dress on a hot day, fun. He gets the pictures up to his site quickly for view. Services and staff at Visual Sketch Studios are just great!

Working with Ken was a pleasure from the beginning. I am so glad we found him! We were able to have everything we wanted for less than we had been quoted at other places. Ken was willing to work with us for the package that fit us. Our pictures came out absolutely amazing. I felt Ken and his crew went above and beyond. The services we received from Visual Sketch was beyond our expectations. The photographers provided us with professional quality photographs that we wanted and much more. Ken and his team did an outstanding job from the start to end of the wedding. Ken exactly understood what we wanted, and he showed a great performance; he captured our every special moments, and he was trying to make the creative and beautiful shots. He was also very good at candid shots. We loved them.
People would be nervous and anxious about this once a life time event. I was. But Ken and his team were trying to make us feel relaxed, comfortable, and enjoyable. The most important thing is that they know their jobs and they are professionals. They DID an EXCELLENT job, including the displays, slideshow, and thank you card. We received many complements.

If you want personalized service with top of the line quality, this place is perfect for you. We loved their pictures on their website and samples we saw at the studio. Extraordinary photographer, period! Ken, the main photographer, bent backwards and went the extra mile just to get us what we wanted. His team of photographers and videographers sync together and work in the background, they'll be there whenever you need them to take that kodak-moment pictures. They are the best and the most friendliest team we have ever dealt with during our wedding preparation.
