An Absolute No-Brainer
We knew who our wedding photographer would be even before I proposed.
Choosing a wedding photographer isn't just about the photos, but also how well they onboard you as a client, how well they interact with guests/other vendors/you as a couple, how well they problem solve/handle adversity, and many other factors that often aren't apparent until it's too late.
As someone who has worked with Kelsey both as a second shooter and as a groom; there is no dimension of wedding photography at which she doesn't excel. I once watched her construct a boutonniere from scraps when the florist delivered one too few for the groomsmen - her skill, expertise, and problem solving ability goes above and beyond any photographer I've ever worked with.
Working with Kelsey is the absolute closest you can get to hiring your best friend to shoot your wedding, but with all the upside of hiring a seasoned professional.

The BEST wedding photographer!!!
Kelsey Travis- you are AMAZING!!! I truly can't say enough good things about Kelsey! I met her alittle over 3 years ago when she did my cousin wedding. On that day she was so incredibly nice she made all of us feel so comfortable taking photos. Then once I saw how amazing her photos turned out I was blown away. A few years later we got engaged and was starting to look at vendors I didn't even have to think who I wanted because I knew Kelsey was the only answer. We couldn't be happier with our wedding photos- it was so hard to even narrow down our favorites. We got compliments all night about how amazing she was. She was running all over the place to get the best possible pictures. Kelsey we love you and our forever thankful we have these pictures!!!! -

Choosing Kelsey Travis Photography for our wedding was one of the best decisions we made in our entire planning process. From the very first conversation to the final moments of our big day, Kelsey and her assistant Ashley brought an energy, passion, and professionalism that was simply unmatched. Not only is Kelsey incredibly talented behind the lens, but she also has this beautiful gift of making people feel comfortable, seen, and celebrated. She captured every emotion, every tear, every laugh, and every detail big and small with such artistry and intention. Her assistant Ashley also indulged our children crazy ideas. Our wedding was filled with sentimental moments, surprises, and meaningful family traditions, and somehow Kelsey and Ashley managed to be everywhere at once, documenting it all without ever being intrusive. It was like having a dear friends’s with a camera, who just gets it. Our guests even commented on how amazing and kind our photographers were, which speaks volumes. They “blended” in effortlessly, hyped us up when we needed it, and even helped wrangle family for portraits like an absolute pro. We are beyond grateful to Kelsey and Ashley for giving us timeless, emotional, and breathtaking memories we’ll treasure for the rest of our lives. If you’re lucky enough to book her do it. Seamless experience, loved the photos!
Kelsey was a joy to work with and did a great job to direct us to get the best pictures but also got fantastic candid shots that captured the moments of our wedding. Her style of photography is more realistic and natural, which we really loved. Kelsey was extremely well organized: the software and system she used made it very easy to share and access the photos. Highly recommend Kelsey for engagement and wedding photography. -

Best Central NY Wedding photographer
We had the pleasure of hiring Kelsey to do both our wedding and engagement photos. Throughout the whole process she was extremely communicative and thorough. She responded to texts and emails promptly and with very helpful details. She is thoughtful in the way she gets to know you as a couple and she quite literally thinks of everything the day of the wedding. She gave us our sneak peak of over 100 photos within 72 hours of the wedding which definitely exceeded our expectations. The photos themselves are stunning and capture the environment and lighting so beautifully. We have so many photos that we love just from the sneak peak! I would encourage anyone looking for a wedding photographer in central NY to consider Kelsey. -

I cannot begin to explain how amazing of a photographer and person Kelsey is! We didn't know her before booking but trusted our gut and we are SO happy we did. From the engagement shoot to the wedding; she was always so kind and we felt like we were hanging out with a friend. She always communicated with us when we had questions and made sure to help us plan our day based on what we wanted to capture. We wanted true to life photos and a bunch of pictures of our guests, and she NAILED IT! Everything we asked for was done (plus some!). Please, if you're booking a wedding photographer, take a look at Kelsey. You'll be so glad you did! -

You simply MUST hire Kelsey if you're looking for a wedding photographer. In our search, we kept coming across very moody or over-/under-saturated photography styles, which was not our vibe. We came across Kelsey's portfolio and were greeted with vibrant, true-to-life color and we were hooked. Kelsey's also just an incredibly kind and charismatic person — she made us feel at ease on our engagement session, and we got a chance to really connect, which made our wedding day that much more exciting because we felt like we were reuniting with an old friend.
Kelsey went above and beyond her duties, like providing us with wedding day timeline guidance and driving one of us over to the venue so we could execute a 'first look.' We can't imagine our wedding day without Kelsey being there!
Her photos speak for themselves, but I hope this review gives you the added encouragement to reach out to her, because you'll regret not hiring her for your own wedding -

Beautiful and Colorful Wedding Photos
We chose Kelsey as our engagement photo and wedding photographer because of her colorful, gorgeous photos on her website, and she did not disappoint! Our engagement photos were full of golden light and leaves and surrounded by nature. Our wedding photos highlighted my and my bridesmaids' beautiful, colorful bouquets and my flower crown, precious photos of family and friends, and captured all the excitement and joy of our wedding day! We've received so many compliments on the photos she's sent us so far! She is professional, reliable, easy to talk to, and makes you feel at ease- both me and my husband are not super comfortable or used to getting our photos taken, but she was able to give us direction which we needed and make it look natural in the photos! HIGHLY recommend her for both engagement and wedding photos!! -

Perfect photographer!
Kelsey was AMAZING from our engagement photos, to our wedding day photos. She always showed up with a smile and so much energy that she made it easy to feel comfortable in front of the camera. We are absolutely speechless at our wedding photos and everything she captured. She has a way of making everything so natural but also like a magazine cover at the same time. She was organized the day of our wedding and treated our family like her own (like remembering names and being patient). We cannot recommend her enough! -

Hire Kelsey NOW!
Kelsey was incredible to work with! From getting a timeline together for our wedding day photos in the weeks leading up to the wedding, to organizing us day of- everything was stress-free and seamless (even with a large, loud, wedding party). Neither myself nor my husband are big fans of being in front of the camera (I am just awkward :) ), and she made us look beautiful. She was fun to work with and got us our photos back very quickly. We highly recommend Kelsey for your wedding! -

Fantastic photographer who takes the time to make your event special
From the very beginning Kelsey made us feel special and valued like we were her only clients (though I know we were not!). Due to our wedding being a destination wedding we had a Zoom meeting a couple of weeks before we left and we did our engagement session the Monday before our Saturday wedding. Not only did she take STUNNING photos she even had the sneak peek available to us before our wedding date! I would absolutely recommend Kelsey if you are looking for a great photographer! -

I wish we could give Kelsey ten stars. She was so professional and easy to work with, using an easy online booking site to communicate with us regularly and arrange our payments. She was able to provide our preview shots within just a few days of our wedding, and our full gallery was shared with us within two weeks. And they were just beautiful. Our wedding was full of colors — the florals, the decor, my bridesmaids’ outfits — and she captured the day beautifully. Looking back at the photos, I can relive the day moment by moment. The portraits and the candids were equally good. She made compiling our shot list incredibly easy plus she helped us put together our day-of schedule, which was essential as we were planning our wedding ourselves. Her pricing was laid out very clearly for us — no surprises! — and she was so affordable. Plus, she was just so fun to work with. I recommend her wholeheartedly to any couple! -

Working with Kelsey was an absolute pleasure. We did a little engagement photo shoot a few days before our wedding (as part of her very generous package) and she quickly made us feel completely comfortable and at ease. Working with Kelsey was like working with a friend, whose easy to talk to and get along with. At the wedding, she did such a wonderful job of getting all of the pictures we requested while maintaining the energy and fun of the event. Also, the photos were BREATHTAKING. She captured fun, intimate and hilarious moments organically and without obstruction. She guided us as needed and had fantastic ideas. We could NOT recommend Kelsey more. In fact, one of my groomsmen who is getting married next summer loved her approach so much that he expressed interest in hiring her for his wedding. -

We were so grateful that we chose Kelsey to be our photographer! She was so amazing to work with throughout the entire process. She was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and flexible while planning. She delivered all of our galleries well before the contract deadlines (which are already much faster than average!) and her photos are absolutely beautiful! She captures that most gorgeous portraits and joy-filled candids so effortlessly, and we love that her true to life color style is both modern and timeless.
While the bride and groom portraits get a lot of attention (and Kelsey’s are amazing!), I feel like an underrated wedding photographer skill is the ability to capture great candids of the guests during all the special moments. Kelsey captured all of the emotions of our day so perfectly and many of the shots she got of our guests are ones that we cherish the most! We’re so happy that we will always have these to look back on.
Many of our guests commented on how much they liked our photographer, and we had so much fun during all of our sessions with Kelsey. She is exactly the type of professional you want with you on your wedding day- we could trust that she had everything locked down, but she also was so kind and fun to work with. Since our wedding we’ve gotten so many comments about how great our photos are. We really can’t recommend Kelsey enough and will be telling all our NY friends to book her! -

It's hard to describe how great it was working with Kelsey for my wedding. She truly goes above and beyond. We were lucky enough to have our engagement shoot with her and after that my wife and I knew we needed her for our wedding. All the photos she takes are fun and nothing ever feels forced. She is able to capture the best moments while they are happening so naturally. When it came to family portraits she also nailed it. Working with our dysfunctional families was no easy task but she made it seem so easy. She captured the ceremony perfectly and every large moment at the reception as well. I think the thing that really drives home how great she is is when she was packed up, ready to leave and heading out the door, a guest of ours had quite...a...surprise (I have no idea how to describe someone randomly showing up at our reception in a dinosaur costume). Kelsey unpacked and got even more photos for us. Staying almost another half hour to capture the reaction of our guests. You cannot go wrong choosing Kelsey for anything. Honestly we have used that fact that we could have Kelsey do the photo shoot in our discussions to have kids. Just saying she's that good! -
