Nothing short of incredible!

My wife and I had the pleasure of having Kelly as our photographer at our wedding. Let me tell you… she is nothing short of incredible. If you like her work (see her website) do not hesitate to hire her. Here’s why:

- She is extremely responsive to your questions often getting back to you within the day (and sometimes even minutes). She is open to any question, and often even answers your questions before you ask them.
- She leaves no stone left unturned. She is incredibly organized and her style ensures that you are on track both throughout your months of planning and on the day of. The month before the wedding she has you fill out a thought-provoking questionnaire which makes you think about things you would never think of on your own. Believe me, you will appreciate having someone this organized to guide you through wedding planning!
- She is as prepared as they come. For example, during the day of, my wife’s lips were dry and her hair started falling loose. Kelly noticed this and right away offered her tinted chapsticks and hair pins she had on hand! She does venue checks well BEFORE the day of your event to prevent mishaps and ensure the best possible photos!
- She is a comforting presence on the day of. You can really tell she is experienced and is passionate about her work. She served as a great resource for questions. And, she has a way of keeping you calm yet focused.
- She has a quick turnaround time for photographs and gets you highlights quickly before you receive the full set of photos.
- Her work is outstanding. Our loved ones (from different pockets) all commented on how incredible the photos looked and what a wonderful job she did in capturing the pivotal moments. She made Central Park look like The Secret Garden in our engagement Photoshoot.

We learned about Kelly through referrals from two couple friends. When we get together we often talk about what an amazing job she did. Her value extended beyond great photographs as she also became a guiding light who will long be remembered as an important part of our special day. Book her quick before its too late!

Eye of Passion and Captured Memories

Kelly is nothing short of Amazing! From beginning to end she is organized, professional, a pleasure to work with. I knew Kelly had a special eye once I saw other work she had done. The photos she captured for us was everything we expected and more. She really does have a passion for what she does and truly tries to make sure she captures every moment. As the couple getting married you miss so much and that’s where Kelly steps in making sure she gets the special moments people miss or maybe even overlook. And she did a phenomenal job. I can’t thank her enough. We will have these beautiful photos for years to come.

Kind, Professional, Organized

Where do I even start! Kelly photographed myself and my now husband (!!!) for our engagement shoot and wedding day. Our photos were amazing for both occasions. Kelly has a way of capturing all the important “formal” photos without missing the candid ones. Not only are we SO pleased with our photos, but with Kelly as a person. She is so sweet/thoughtful and actually went above and beyond on our wedding day to make sure things were running smoothly. Kelly is someone who makes you feel comfortable, especially if you’re someone who doesn’t enjoy having your photo taken. Kelly is outstanding and I can’t wait to have another event so I can hire her!!

Great wedding photographer!

Kelly was fantastic to work with! A last minute change in our photography plans made us very anxious but Kelly's professionalism and eagerness to make sure we were happy quickly put our concerns at ease. Her photos came out great and really captured our happiness and celebration! Also, she was very easy to work with, very responsive and accomodating with our requests. Amazing photographer!

I found Kelly while researching our venue, as she had previously shot a wedding there. This was very important to us, we had our wedding at the Bronx Zoo in NYC and wanted someone who knew the quirks of getting married there. Hiring Kelly was the best decision- I cannot imagine another photographer getting the pictures that she did! I am still in awe of how many angles she was able to capture each part of the day from. You would think that there were at least two photographers! Kelly was great to work with, professional and energetic. We started pictures offsite at a hotel and she came in shooting, my mom still comments that she was amazed that as soon as the door to the room opened Kelly came in - camera in hand- and started taking pictures. I honestly don't think she stopped from that point on, everything that we wanted captured she got. I still don't know how she was everywhere at once, but she was. I highly recommend Kelly, she will get the most beautiful pictures of your special day and get them to you quickly!!

It's hard to describe in a short review just how incredible and integral Kelly was to our wedding and wedding-planning experience. Out of all our vendors, Kelly was the most communicative, thorough, and just lovely to hang out with - not to mention insanely talented behind the camera. We were nervous while searching for a photographer at first, because my now-husband is not super comfortable in front of the camera and he's about a foot taller than me, so we tended to look awkward in photos together in the past. But from the moment we sat down with Kelly at our first meeting, we felt immediately at ease. She totally got our vision for our engagement shoot, and was just as enthusiastic as we were about the strange places in Brooklyn we wanted to go to take photos. When we got our photo highlights back from that shoot (within 24 hours), we could hardly believe it was us in the photos. From that time forward, we would joke often that no matter what else went wrong in the wedding-planning process, we knew we'd have fun with Kelly and that our photos would turn out stunningly. And we were right! She even wrote a full blog post detailing all the best parts of our wedding, which our family and friends loved and were able to share widely as a snapshot of the day. We can't imagine our wedding without Kelly!

Kelly is an amazing photographer. I hired her to shoot my elopement 8/25 within a few weeks notice, and she was warm, accommodating, and just as excited as I was. She worked with our tight time frame and budget, and provided the shots that we wanted. Her constant communication put me at ease, and I knew I didn't have to worry about her providing an amazing service for us. We were shocked at her quick turnaround time and couldn't believe how amazing our pictures came out. We are still in awe of her amazing work and everyone that sees our wedding photos are in love as well. Don't hesitate to hire her to shoot your big event. You won't be disappointed.

I honestly cannot say enough great things about working with Kelly! She was so sweet and easy to work with, and we love our photographs. She has a wonderful ability to capture wonderful shots while also fading into the background -- I honestly don't even remember seeing her very much during our reception, but she got so many amazing pictures. Her turnaround time is also super-human: we got nearly 100 pictures within 24 hours after our wedding, and the rest of the pictures less than a month later. I really appreciated how seriously Kelly takes her work -- she did a site visit of our venue with us to really see the space through our eyes, and then she actually went back on her own time to get some pictures of the venue itself for us. I would absolutely recommend Kelly to anyone in need of a wedding photographer, and would not hesitate to use her again for family pictures in the future!

We could not have chosen a better photographer for our wedding. Kelly has an amazing eye, is superbly organized, very professional and a true pleasure to work with. We were looking for a documentary/reporting style and she delivered exactly that, she is very responsive, thoughtful and goes above and beyond her scope of work as a photographer (had all sorts of props and tools to help out with the most random tasks, from scissors to cut a ribbon to a hook to tighten up a corset you name it). The coverage she provided was great value compared to others out there and she has a very quick turnaround. Also a fun touch to see her take on the wedding in her blog where she wrote a nice portrait in words (in addition to the wonderful pictures). Truly recommended and would look forward to working with her again!

I cannot say enough great things about Kelly. During the planning stage she was very responsive to emails and helped me finalize my day of timeline. She also thoroughly researched our photo locations, so the couple shots, bridal party, and family photo sessions were not only beautiful, but quick and efficient. We just had our engagement photos done with Kelly, who will be shooting our upcoming June wedding. I was not going to review any of my vendors until after the wedding but I just had to write about Kelly after this experience.
Kelly is probably our favorite wedding professional/vendor that we have worked with so far (and we do have some good ones!). She is professional, engaging, dedicated, and so talented!
Our photos are one of the most important things for us. They're one of the only things you keep after your wedding and the photographer is with you all day at your most intimate personal moments. Kelly instantly put us at ease and, as a result, allowed us to truly be ourselves in front of the camera. Additionally, she was more prepared than I ever expected with her shot list and extensive research (including TWO! site visits) and detailed (but flexible) itinerary leading up to our shoot.
My fiancé afterwards said the whole experience, which he was dreading since he tends to stiffen up sometimes in front of a camera, was not only better than he expected but actually enjoyable. He thanked me for making us meet with multiple photographers to make sure we were as comfortable with who we went with as we were with Kelly.
On top of that, her prices are more than fair, reasonable, and clearly laid out. Plus her awesome blog is a great resource for any bride.
Cannot wait to work with her again!
POST-WEDDING UPDATE: Just updating my review a month after our wedding. Once again, Kelly is the best. She is still my favorite wedding vendor that we had and I would recommend her to anyone. Our wedding was around 230 people & when I originally started planning I assumed we'd need 2 photographers, but Kelly assured me that she could handle a wedding this size and she more than delivered. Our photos are beautiful. I'm so mad WW won't let me write more things about Kelly here because I could go on and on about her. Contact her immediately, you won't be disappointed.

I truly cannot begin to say enough about how much my husband and I loved working with Kelly. She totally "got" us and all of our pictures came out even better than we envisioned when we came up with our concepts. On the day of our engagement shoot, Kelly put us at ease immediately and brought out our personalities in every photo. The photos are gorgeous and we have gotten countless compliments.

For our wedding photos we had taken inspiration from a Mad Men photo shoot that we wanted done at the Roosevelt Hotel and not only did she scout out the location beforehand to make sure we could do it without getting kicked out, but she executed the vision exactly. At the reception several people called her a "ninja," as she seemed to be everywhere and nowhere all at once, capturing everything but not getting in anyone's way.

Not only will your photos look amazing, but she'll have top photos ready for you to view and share the very next day! After having priced other photographers and spoken to others who have recently gotten married, her rates are incredibly reasonable, especially for the quality of service you get. We hired Kelly for engagement photos in Central Park (Sept 2015) and when I saw the pictures it looked like we were in a fairy tale. I used my favorite photo for our Christmas card and I have gotten so many comments about how that is the most amazing picture of us they have seen. She is truly a professional and has talent. We knew we had nothing to worry about at the wedding. She worked around us and got some really amazing pictures of us at the Manhattan Penthouse.

I'm three months out from my wedding and still obsessing over our photos and our guests are still singing Kelly's praises. From our engagement photos to our wedding day, Kelly made the process not only simple but fun. From the start, Kelly was extremely thoughtful about our photo process, taking out the time to scout our desired venues beforehand and make location suggestions. She also took time to really get to know me and my husband and get a sense of our personalities so that we were comfortable throughout the process.

During the wedding, Kelly not only managed to capture everything on our shot list but also captured moments we didn't even see - and all while blending in to our wedding and not getting "in the way," she was nearly invisible but always right there when you needed her to grab a quick photo for you.

Kelly honestly was one of the best parts of our entire wedding process and gave us great images to remember it by.

Kelly photographed our wedding in September 2015 and we can't recommend her enough! She was wonderful to work with, all the way from our initial e-mails to our first meeting to the day of the wedding itself (and she even photographed our brunch the next morning)! Kelly is extremely professional and organized, super thoughtful and considerate, and just a genuinely nice person. It was so nice to know that with her we didn't have to worry about anything, it made that part of wedding planning so much easier. And when it came to the pictures themselves, we couldn't have been happier. She has a great eye and captured so many of those little moments of people just enjoying the day, which is exactly what we wanted.

Kelly photographed our wedding reception, and did a fantastic job. She was easy to get in touch with, made the payment process easy, and did a great deal of prep and research before the big day. On the day of the reception, she had a plan for awesome photos around the neighborhood of the venue, and then once the reception started, she captured everything we wanted and more without us ever noticing her working.

She is laid-back, easy to talk to, professional, and sent us more than 50 edited photos the next day. My wife and I would highly recommend Kelly to anyone looking for a wedding/event photographer.

We hired Kelly as our wedding photographer for our wedding on June 20th and could not be happier with our decision to do so. Not only is she an amazingly talented photographer but she is professional, organized and just great to work with. She was incredibly flexible with her packages which I loved - for example, my fiancé didn't want engagement photos, which came with our package, and she was able to think of a solution to swap it out for something different! So as a result, I have beautiful pictures from my shower. Kelly responded to any email or questions with rapid speed and always came on time or early to the events she was photographing. My guests also noted that you would not even know she was at the wedding because she blended in so well, yet she was able to capture every aspect of our special day!

I could not say enough good things and would definitely recommend Kelly for any photo need!

Kelly photographed our wedding at the Alger House in March 2015, and we couldn't have been any happier with her professionalism and the final photos. We had a brief chat over the phone about the types of photos we were looking for about a week before the wedding, and Kelly delivered. Although my fiance and got to the wedding venue 15 minutes before we were supposed to be taking photos/greeting guests (without changing or having done makeup), Kelly was there early and organized- a calming presence in the chaotic environment. She was very personable, and all our guests remarked on how unobtrusive she was when taking her photos. She is also incredibly efficient- we got a preview of about 30 photos the day after our ceremony, and the rest a week later. Photos had great composition and really captured the spirit of the wedding and our guests. Highly recommended!

My husband and I semi-eloped and wanted to have amazing photos we could look back on for years to come and remember the day exactly as it was. What we found in Kelly's photographic artistry was even more than what we could have ever envisioned. Not only did she blend in seamlessly with our guests, she charmed everyone with her professionalism. Her creativity, attention to detail, and personal service were exceptional and what every bride deserves on her big day - no matter how big or small. For the most part, Kelly seemed invisible to us but according to the photos - she was present for every cherished moment plus more! We found ourselves saying "WOOOW!" so many times when reviewing the photos after the speedy four week turn around. Kelly was amazing throughout. We met beforehand as I live in the UK and she showed genuine energy and enthusiasm for my upcoming wedding.

She kept in contact throughout the planning and was on hand whenever I needed her. I found her very professional and she visited all of the venues and spoke to the vendors before the wedding to make sure she got all the best shots.

She arrived on the day on time and very excited, she gave me a much needed hug when I first saw her. All my friends and family loved her and she snapped away all day, never felt intrusive and actually felt part of the wedding party, it was a pleasure to have her there.

I loved Kelly's style of snapping all the moments as they happened and this was exactly what we were looking for. The photos have turned out spectacular and we have so many memories now of our wedding day.

All my friends and family commented on how good Kelly was on the day and really enjoyed her company.

I felt like we've built up a transatlantic friendship and will look forward to seeing her the next time we are in NYC.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Kelly and her photography. She did an excellent job with our engagement session and our wedding photos. She truly is professional from start to finish. We had to reschedule our engagement session 3 times due to rain/weather and each time she was flexible and accommodating. Always wanting us to have the best shots and exactly what we wanted. Her responsiveness over email was helpful and appreciated in those crazy weeks leading up to the wedding. Plus getting black and white versions of all the photos, what a bonus!

Kelly was absolutely amazing. She checked out the locations for both our wedding and engagement shoot prior to the day and had an amazing list of ideas. She was flexible and amazing -- during the wedding, I completely forgot she was there and the pictures are absolutely gorgeous! She caught little moments that I had forgotten about. We're choosing our wedding album pictures now and there's too many amazing shots to choose from I would highly recommend Kelly to anyone!

I don't think we could have gotten any more lucky to find someone as amazing as Kelly. From our very first meeting she made us feel comfortable. Kelly listened and understood the type of photographs we were looking to achieve for both our engagement and wedding photos. She truly captured the spirit of our wedding day! Not only did she take gorgeous photographs, but she was so flexible. She made herself readily available by answering all of our questions and emails. When we were running behind getting ready (as every bridal party does) she maximized the time by taking photos of myself and each person who was ready. She kept me calm and assured me that everything would fall into place. I would recommend Kelly any day of the week!

Kelly Williams is an amazing event photographer. My sister used her for her wedding last year, and the pictures were gorgeous, so when it was my turn, using Kelly was one of the first decisions we made during the wedding planning process. Kelly was so friendly and open during the months leading up to our wedding, and she really seemed to care about our day, our event, our families. She went to our wedding hall before our big day to scout out prime photo locations, and had a whole plan ready for us the day of the wedding. She did the same thing for our engagement shoot pictures. She really went out of her way to make sure that our event was captured perfectly. Our wedding was 2 months ago, and we received our pictures, hand delivered in a beautiful box, weeks ago! All of our friends and family have made numerous comments on how amazing our pictures are, and how friendly Kelly was during our wedding. She really was a pleasure to work with, and a master at her craft. I can't wait for anyone I know to get married so that I can recommend her

Kelly was amazing! She was lovely to be around and delightful with our kids. During the ceremony and reception, she was always present but never in the center. In the downtime, like our picnic lunch, she was just like a friend we had always known. We had the best time, and would not think twice about hiring her again. THANKS KELLY!

All I can say is WOW!!!! My apologies for the overuse of exclamation points, but I promise they are warranted.

My husband was very picky when it came to selecting a photographer for our wedding. We must have looked at hundreds of portfolios online before we found Kelly's, and right away he said we had to contact her for a meeting. When we met her in person, our suspicions were confirmed--she is awesome! Once we hired her for our wedding (over a year out), she was so responsive and organized, answering any question that came up and truly making things easy for us.

On the wedding day, she was the first one there and the last to leave. She went above and beyond for us, including saving me from the itchiest slip ever because, as she put it, "I always have duct tape. It really does fix everything!"

And the photos. Oh, the photos! They are glorious. We have a DVD of over 1500 amazing photos, which Kelly actually hand-delivered to me at work less than three weeks after the wedding. Our goal was to find a photographer who could capture what it felt like to be at our wedding, and she did all that and more. Every photo we asked for is there, along with some fantastic ones that I didn't even know I wanted. Her pricing was an absolutely phenomenal value for what she delivered in both service and final product. We'll definitely be ordering an album from Kelly as well, and I want all of my friends to get married so I can recommend her!

Kelly provided photography for our wedding in the spring of 2013. In the planning, she was very well organized, detailed in the planning and prompt in responding back to any inquiries that we had. She was quite flexible with our schedules, and very professional throughout. She provided great photographs on the day of our wedding, and followed up afterwards with the photographs in a timely manner. We highly recommend her!

We absolutely loved working with Kelly! She was easy going, happy to do things our way, but also thoughtful and encouraged us to try different things on the basis of her experience. For example, we had planned to do our engagement photos on the High Line, but Kelly thought to diversify a bit, and have some in the village and some by the water on the Hudson (our favorites in the end)--this proved genius as my husband and I turn out to be self-conscious under the gaze of many tourists. Kelly took A LOT of pictures, which meant that we had a lot of variety to choose from, and even to my (admittedly) picky eye, I found pictures I adored.
She continued to be very thoughtful and professional at the wedding--even going as far as learning a few words of Russian to work with my family! She was absolutely everywhere all at once--looking through the photos after the wedding was like reliving it all over again, catching the moments we missed--without being in the way.
Her rates were also very reasonable, with flexible packages that made us feel like we were able to get the services we needed for a good rate.
Overall, we were VERY pleased, and would happily work with Kelly again.

Kelly was amazing! We planned our wedding long distance from Seattle, but Kelly was available for phone calls and over email to help us with all the details. Once we arrived in New York, we met her over coffee to talk through the plans and just get comfortable with each other. On the day of the wedding, Kelly was the perfect photographer. She easily moved amongst our guests, getting to know people and taking fantastic action shots of the day. She caught every moment beautifully - even things that we missed seeing in person. Overall, her photos are amazing - so vibrant in color, full of personality and with lots of variety. I'd recommend Kelly to anyone that needed a great event photographer - she was truly fantastic!

I am so thankful that Kelly was a part of our wedding and I have thoroughly enjoyed working with her.
First, we had a great engagement shoot, wandering around our favorite Greenwich village spots. Kelly knew how to get us warmed up and feel a bit more relaxed. By the end of the shoot Colin and I were laughing together, and he was dipping me under Washington Square Park's infamous arc. The photos turned out intimate and natural.

As for the wedding, what a beautiful job. Her work truly captured the personalities of everyone she photographed, catching them in telling, almost secret moments that would make you think that she knew my family and friends personally. Her style is just perfect. She managed to pay attention to detail without making it too abstract, and to focus on people in such a way that character really came through. She also was able to capture the night as a whole, paying attention to the band, the decor, and the beautiful venue. Overall, beautiful, professional, and personal work. I really can't say enough! I am so happy these will be the memories we will always have of this day.

Aside from her photography, she was a real trooper, arriving on the scene early and entertaining my dad as he waited for everyone to arrive to get ready (of course we were all late) to providing bobby pins for me and safety pins for an emergency dress strap mishap.

And she is beyond professional and accommodating. She made sure she had a sense of what I wanted before the wedding, and consistently checked in with me. She claims that she makes herself scarce and does not get in anyone's way--and she certainly doesn't interrupt anything--but I totally wouldn't have minded if she did. :)

I would highly recommend Kelly to any newly engaged couples. It was wonderful working with her.

I have nothing but the absolute best things to say about Kelly. She is perhaps the most responsible and responsive professional I've ever worked with, funny, personable, and is completely flexible -- she really listens to what you want and tailors her talent to meet your needs. Kelly is a great photographer! My wedding was on September 1st, 2012 at The Harvard Club. I got so lucky with Kelly, because before hiring Kelly, I met so many photographers and didn't like them. When I saw her website first, I was amazed by her style of taking pictures. After meeting with her, I was a 100% sure I would hire her. She is so personable, she is a great source of information and she would help you not only in photography but in other wedding organizing things. I love her with all my heart. My husband and I were happy that she wasn't intrusive at all, she just did her job. I love freestyle in pictures so I was completely happy with both engagement shoot and wedding photography.

Kelly was truly wonderful to work with. Since we have never hired a photographer before, she provided excellent tips and guided us through the engagement photo process and wedding photo process. She also did a lot of homework beforehand and scoped out ALL of the venues and took the initiative to contact the venues to discuss photo options. She really is worth the money and puts in a lot of effort to catch the right photos. My husband and I chose her because of her photo journalist background and boy, did she deliver. She's got a great eye - all of our photos came out crisp and stunning. The lighting during our ceremony was very dark, but much to our surprise, she managed to make it work and took excellent photos. She's also has a wonderful personality and is very easy to work with.

We had the good fortune to have Kelly Williams as the Photographer for our recent wedding in May 2012 in NYC.
From the moment we met her, we knew she was the perfect fit. Her personality, enthusiasm, knowledge, experience, creativity and prior wedding work portfolio made the decision to choose her a no-brainer. And the photos she created for us more than met our expectations. From the Engagement shoot (where she made us feel so relaxed in front of the camera and gave us all a chance to get to know each other prior to the wedding) to the actual Wedding day itself, Kelly worked professionally, tirelessly, and thoroughly, all the while with endless enthusiasm, a smile and a great sense of humor. She was never in the way, and still managed to take unbelievably terrific photos. Her photos were in focus, creative and arty, and she also excelled with the classic portrait and wedding shots that are necessary. And the colors in her photos really popped.
The quality of her work confirmed our faith in her. And she always delivered the edited and color-corrected photos earlier than the date she told us. We would highly recommend Kelly to photograph any wedding. And her rate compared to the quality and quantity of her work made Kelly even more of a steal and lucky find. We can only feel sorry for the numerous other wedding couples we hear about that paid a small fortune for their Wedding photographers and were disappointed with their results. Kelly was quite simply outstanding.

We commented afterward that she was so much more than a photographer and helped guide us through the day, ensuring that we remained relaxed and the day remained fun. This is really reflected in the photographs that Kelly took which have a wonderful relaxed appeal and don't look in any way staged or with forced smiles.

We particularly appreciated how Kelly was very keen to listen to what we wanted to achieve. This extended to having a Skype call several weeks in advance so we could get to know each other (we are based in the UK). Kelly also went to check out our venue in advance to scope the best place for photographs.

We will forever be grateful to have chosen Kelly as our photographer.
