  Amazing in every way

  Omg, what can I say?! Kelci is everything you want in a wedding photographer. She is responsive and professional, yet so fun and cool. Exactly the kind of person you want around you on your wedding day. She made it easy to be ourselves, to sit in all the real, raw emotion of the day, to cry, laugh, etc. She had little prompts to help elicit laughs and smiles, so we didn't have to force weird smiles all day. And again, she was just very fun to be around and I know all my friends enjoyed being around her all day. She also checked in throughout the day just to make sure I felt okay and didn't need anything, which was so comforting. I was sad our time together came and went so quickly!
  
  She had amazing ideas for where the special pictures should happen, and understood the "vibe" of our venue and how to lean into it. She was also very thoughtful about time and light, and making sure we got great sunset photos. She was also very mindful when taking photos of the more intimate moments-- she knew how to be there without being intrusive in any way.
  
  We got a sneak peak of the photos a few days later, and holy sh*t. Her photos are stunning. She really captures the raw emotion and those special, candid moments. There are a few photos where both my husband and I have these smirks on our faces that are just so US. I love that that is the case, rather than us looking like stuffy, posed versions of themselves. And the post-production/editing is just so good. Not too much, just enough. Enhances the real and natural beauty of the day without looking like a "filter" in any way.

  Kelci is AMAZING in every way!

  Let me start off by saying that every time we think back to our wedding, we can't help but feel hearts full of gratitude that we hired Kelci - hiring her was the best and most valued decision we made about the wedding itself. Really, she is the best, and you will be a lucky couple if you're able to book her to photograph your wedding! You will be getting much more than a photographer - you'll be getting a rockstar.
  
  Kelci was responsive from the very beginning, continued to be throughout the planning process, and has been since the wedding. She is very professional and organized, and at the same time very down-to-earth, sweet, and so cool - she is confident and knows what she is doing, and this assured us every step of the way. And her photos and editing are GORGEOUS - we are so happy with them!
  
  Also, she is magic - the day of the wedding, she was invisible while snapping candids (going with the flow, and not forcing any posed shots or recreation of authentic moments), but if one of us ever wanted or needed her, she was always within eye-shot. She was our rock throughout the planning process and the entire day-of! She helped us organize our timeline (we were doing a DIY backyard wedding), arrived to town early enough to get acquainted with the area and our loved ones, drove me to the ceremony, eased a tense moment between family, brought snacks! (when we went to do couple-photos between the ceremony and reception), gave excellent direction for family photos, and gently kept us all on a timeline (subtly, she was never pushy). Her attitude and presence brought direction and calm to both of us and to our families, and frankly, we credit her with making it all go so smoothly and beautifully. Even our family and wedding party commented on how amazing and cool she was.
  
  We adore Kelci and a human and we adore her work, and we would absolutely hire her again for any other important event our family has. If you were to ask us, we would highly recommend you do yourself a huge favor, and hire Kelci!

  Kelci is the BEST!

  We had such a wonderful experience working with Kelci! Aside from the fact that her work is absolutely stunning, she is a delight to work with and made the group photo sessions so much fun. Working with her for engagement photos was a great lead-in to prepare for the wedding itself, and I'm so glad we also decided to have her come photograph the rehearsal dinner too. Seriously, we will treasure these pictures forever, and she really captured us. Amazing!

  Everything You Could Ever Ask for in a Wedding Photographer

  Kelci was a hands down, the best wedding photographer. Her style of photography was just what we wanted--candid, natural, and not cheesy. We loved how our photos turned out. Personality wise, she was super organized and very helpful in organizing the timing of events at our wedding, reminding us of what was coming next. We also loved that she was everywhere and nowhere at the same time, like a little fairy. She was always there at the right moment, but not in people's way or interrupting conversations as other wedding photographers may do. Her chill mood and pace of taking photos really matched well with ours. She even took my used tissue and put it in her fanny pack when I had no place to put it following our ceremony. We highly recommend hiring Kelci for her photography services--you won't regret it!

  Candid, thoughtful, fun, kind, patient!

  Kelci is a very special person. Not only is she talented beyond belief, but she has an ability to make you comfortable in front of a camera, even if totally camera shy. A photoshoot with Kelci is less of a chore, and more of an adventure - a fun, intimate experience with your significant other. We left our engagement photoshoot feeling fresh and in love again, as if we had left something like a therapy session haha. She is less concerned with making you look like a fake barbie, and more concerned with capturing authentic, beautiful moments. Professional & responsive-we're so happy we had Kelci with us through the whole process of being engaged and getting married!

  The absolute best

  I don't even know where to begin. Kelci was hands down the BEST vendor, photographer, and coolest human we could have chosen for our wedding. Kelci keeps it real, but still keeps you on track with her easy going attitude and calming energy. I trusted her from the first moment I met her. She's so professional, and supports and fosters your choices and your vision, even if it's way off the path of what's "normal" or "traditional". Shes always ready to capture the raw, real moments that others would likely miss. She's truly gifted and I couldn't dream of a better person for the job. Thank you, Kelci!!!

  Kelci. Is. Amazing.

  Throughout the entire planning process, she was calm, cool, collected, and immediately put us at ease. We have two friends that used Kelci for their weddings, and they said the exact same thing. Kelci also took our engagement pictures - which my camera-shy husband was not looking forward to. Somehow, some way, she made the two and a half hours fly by and an absolute BLAST. On the wedding day, she made our first look and first pictures SO much fun, and I felt like that was the first time all day I could relax and take everything in. Throughout the rest of the night, neither my husband nor I even noticed Kelci or her assistant busy at work. But yet, she captured our guests and the entire night perfectly.

  Stop looking for a photographer right now- Kelci should be your choice! We hired her for our wedding in DC this past April and she worked some serious magic. We got our photos back recently and just couldn't stop looking at all the beautiful pics, which transported us back to that incredible day. Not only does she take amazing photos, she's just such a cool person and makes you feel as normal as you can when being photographed. She was a whiz at organizing family photos and we had quite a few people to organize- she got everyone in perfect order and kept us ahead of our timeline! My bridesmaids loved her as well and couldn't get over how fun she was to have around. Kelci also had an awesome second shooter, Jen, who my husband and his groomsmen loved! She is well worth every penny!

  We are so lucky we stumbled upon such a talented, creative and sweet photographer. Kelci flawlessly captured our engagement photos and wedding day while making us feel completely at ease (no easy feat for two people who are camera shy). Her beautiful photos perfectly and naturally capture us - laughing and enjoying the day with each other and our guests. And she's a blast to work with! We can't recommend her enough!

  Kelci Alane Photography is EVERYTHING. I have had the pleasure of knowing Kelci for 10 years now, and she has only grown to impress me more and more over the years. Coming from the perspective of a type-A bride, trust me, Kelci is everything you want and need in a wedding photographer. She is cool, confident and collected during the craziness that is wedding planning and every single time to you talk to her you are left thinking, "thank god I hired her." I remember I called her stressing, and all she had to say was, "Jessica, I got you girl." She has got everything under control at all times, and she brings that vibe to your engagement shoot, on your wedding day, and every time you communicate with her. And talking about her demeanor is only the tip of the iceberg in regards to what she has to offer. Kelci KNOWS light. She gets it and utilities it to make your photos just stunning. She brings creativity and beauty to every single shot. My fiancé and I were a little anxious about our engagement photo shoot, only because neither of us are that comfortable in front of cameras. Well, with Kelci, that was a discomfort she immediately dissolved. She has a way about her, an energy, that puts you at ease. She uses really fun techniques to get you to feel comfortable and allow you to be yourself and connect with your fiancé during the shoot. It felt more like a "date" than a photoshoot :) This is how she gets the MAGICAL photos that feel authentic and moody and gorgeous.   We had the pleasure of already knowing Kelci when we got engaged and after she braved a snow storm for us in order to get engagement photos in the snow, managed to make us feel so comfortable that we forgot about the cold, and produced amazing pictures, it was an easy decision to also hire her as our wedding photographer. Kelci is nothing short of amazing to work with—she has an ability to make you feel at ease in front of the camera (this isn’t an easy thing to do!!) and captures authentic, real, and beautiful moments in her photographs. Several members of our family and bridal party commented on how organized and calm she was the day of the wedding and what a joy she was to be around.   Although my wedding was back in June of 2016, I found myself going through the photos this morning and couldn't keep a smile off my face. Kelci is simply the best! She made everyone involved feel comfortable and relaxed, and it shows in the natural candor of the photos. Kelci travelled to Pittsburgh for my wedding, and her photos highlighted the beauty of the venue and the city like a local. Not only were our ceremony, reception, and group photos stunning; but Kelci beautifully captured the quiet, simple moments that happen during an otherwise hectic day, and those are the photos I cherish the most. She's an incredibly talented photographer and a wonderful, easy person to have around you as you experience (and she photographs) big moments in life.

  Kelci Alane Photography is an EXCELLENT wedding photographer! A friend recommended her to us, and we tried her out for our engagement photos first. We loved her style, her vibe & the aesthetic of the photos SO much, so she traveled to Maine for our wedding, too! She was the most gracious to work with. She spent TONS of time with us, went with the flow when she needed to, planned & prepped other shots, and was super accommodating (early morning shots + impromptu day-of boudoir shots + handling our families SO well). Kelci is also a blast to have around all day (which matters - it's your wedding day & you want someone fun, relaxed & easy to be around) + and she picked an equally awesome/fun second shooter (which is something I didn't even consider but is important, too). Beyond that, though, her photos are why we picked her. Her photos have a natural, real-life vibe that is so warm & unique. They seem more authentic & organic, which is what we wanted. (We kept saying we wanted our photos to capture our day, not hijack our day.) She did a few posed pictures for us; but, she excelled at candid, natural photos - and those are the ones we have in frames! Her style is definitely different from the normal wedding photographer, so make sure her aesthetic matches yours (just browse her blog for past photos). If it does, then she's GREAT to work with from pre-wedding convos to post-editing. (Tip: we hired her for a modest fee to shoot our rehearsal dinner, too. We got so many great shots of friends & family the night before - and without us in a wedding gown/tux!)

Her communication throughout the process was highly professional; she is clearly an expert in her field. We relied on her to add structure and cohesion to our wedding day, and she more than delivered. After the wedding, Kelci provided timely updates and sneak peeks into her product. The result was astounding - we are in love with the photographs she gave us. Kelci exceed all of our expectations. If you are considering hiring her - do it!

  Kelci was truly incredible to work with. I cannot write enough wonderful things about the positive experience we had working with her on our engagement photos. I had an idea of what I wanted our photos to look like, and Kelci not only met those expectations, but raised the bar to a whole new level. She made us feel so at-ease and comfortable. The photos came out dreamy and intimate, and truly captured us and our excitement for our upcoming nuptials. Using her was one of the best decisions we made during the wedding/engagement process!
