Wow - we cannot say how wonderful it was to work with Keith. Not only did our wedding photos turn out better than we ever imagined, Keith was also so so so helpful in all aspects of the wedding. He was always willing to help with other aspects if asked and had great advice. We also loved working with him for our engagement shoot photos, they were fun to do and turned out great. Not only did we enjoy working with Keith, but we had a second shooter Julia the day of the wedding who was also a joy to work with. Keith was all around professional, responsive, incredibly helpful, kind, and his photos capture the day perfectly. And bonus - he has an adorable dog named Melon that he will show you photos of and he was happy to have our dog come along for our engagement shoot! Cannot recommend working with Keith enough! -

Keith was not only one of my favorite parts of the wedding day, but the whole planning experience. He struck an incredible balance between attention to detail but not being in your face about it, or pushy with ideas. Perfection and "go with the flow" don't often go hand in hand, but that's how I felt with Keith! Every step along the way he made me and my husband feel so incredibly confident with our choice to book Keith. We had an intro phone call, did an engagement shoot, and emailed a bit before the big day. I am definitely not a confident photo subject, big "what do I do with my hands" energy, and Keith was so tactful, kind, and thoughtful about guiding us. I haven't even gotten to the final product yet, which was so incredible and so on time! I cried with joy in a coffee shop the first day of our honeymoon when he sent some preview photos through. Also - I know it's not just bias from a wonderful wedding day, because friends and family are STILL telling us how much they loved our photographer! -

Our favorite wedding vendor!
Keith was an amazing addition to our wedding experience. First off, he was super easy to work with. From our engagement shoot to the day of celebration, he was professional, easy to communicate with, and detailed. He knew just what to say to ease any day of stress and add joy to our event. On top of that, our pictures turned out amazing!!! He captured so many moments and I love how they look from small details to beautiful candids. I cannot recommend Keith enough!! -

Keith is amazing!!
Not sure where to begin - Keith was wonderful in every way! From our engagement session to our wedding day - he was professional, attentive, friendly, and made us feel comfortable in front of the camera. He fit in seamlessly with our wedding celebration and captured the moments perfectly. We also got our photos back so quickly which was an added bonus!!! Keith was such an amazing photographer to work with and I am so glad we chose him to capture the special moments on one of the best days of our lives!!! Hiring Keith as our wedding photographer was one of the best decisions we've made. Keith was professional, responsive, and kind throughout the planning process, engagement shoot, and our wedding day.
Although we've never been in front of the camera before, Keith could not have made the process any easier or more enjoyable. Not only did he create lovely portraits of us and our families with some gentle direction, he also captured many candids of our guests' joy and happiness throughout the day. He was great company to have around the entire day, and during special moments he maneuvered like a ninja capturing every angle without us even noticing he was there.
Ultimately we were blown away by the quality of our photos and are so grateful we have them to look back on forever. Keith is incredibly talented, scouts the best locations and finds the most gorgeous light. We couldn't be happier with our experience! -

We absolutely loved working with Keith MacDonald and we would be happy to recommend him to others! He was referred to us by our wedding planner. He included an engagement photo session, which we are so happy we did. It gave us an opportunity to get to know him and what to expect before our wedding, and the photos came out fantastic. Keith showed up early at our engagement session and wedding day to check out the locations and lighting. He was very prompt both with responding to messages and with getting photos to us. We had a hard time deciding which photos to use for our save the dates because we liked them all so much. On our wedding day, Keith took all of the photos we requested, even in the colder weather. He was so kind and professional to us, our other vendors, and all of our guests. Many guests asked him to take photos and he happily obliged. He sent us sneak peek photos within a couple days of the wedding even though he was traveling, and he got the rest of our photos back to us much sooner than we expected. We highly recommend Keith MacDonald Photography!! -

Everything we wanted and more
Keith was amazing to work with! We had to postpone by 2 weeks at the last minute leaving us scrambling for a photographer. Keith was available and more than happy to help. On the day of, we were quite behind schedule (my fault), and he was still able to capture our day perfectly. He organized my family quickly for group shots, still leaving time for some portraits as the sun was going down. We got our pictures before the agreed upon time frame, and they look incredible! My original photographer was a family friend who has done our photos forever, and we were worried about replacing her, but Keith exceeded our expectations. -

Hiring Keith was the best decision! From the very start to receiving our photo gallery he was professional, kind and prompt. Keith is so much more than just a person to take photos – he really does care and was always willing to help with questions. One day I realized there was an issue with our timeline and immediately panicked. Keith did an amazing job of calmly listening to the problems and helping me to find a solution. His attention to detail and making sure there was enough time for photos throughout the day was also above and beyond. Just a few days after our ceremony we were with friends in the area on our honeymoon and he sent us a sneak peek (we even got our final gallery a little early on an easy to use platform!). We all looked at them together and when I say we were just in tears they were so perfect that is not an exaggeration. I have had many many family members and friends comment on how beautiful our photos were. I also really loved that Keith captured moments – not staged shots – but was also more than happy to take group shots and portraits. The man does it all! He captured so many special moments that I didn’t even realize were happening and looking back to see those stolen glances or secret wiping away of a tear was just truly special. Even on our wedding day when everything was running behind he helped keep the pace going and was able to adjust without a problem. My husband was also just amazed at how he seemed to be everywhere and nowhere all at once. Having Keith there didn’t feel like someone putting you under a microscope but somehow, he managed to get all the best photos and be in three places at once. Keith was also super accommodating to all the requests we had. For example, I had asked if we could get a quick photo with each guest during our receiving line and he handled it no problem. He was also able to take our layout photos using our stationary and artfully cover up the incorrect date on the papers (thank you Covid!) to create beautiful photos. He was also fantastic working with us as we had to postpone. Lastly, he was very sensitive to body image. I had explained to him that my dress tended to bunch up and that I am a bit self-conscious about my arms and when I look at the photos its clear that he took that into consideration and made sure everyone looked their best. Without a doubt I would hire Keith again and again. You won’t find a more professional kind hearted person. If you want photos you and your family can cherish forever look no further. -

Keith truly did an amazing job for our wedding photo journey. We met Keith back in 2019 for our engagement photos, he helped bring both of us out of our shells and feel comfortable in front of the camera. From the start, it felt as though Keith was one of our old friends.
Our wedding journey was not the easiest due to the pandemic, but Keith was there for us through the changes in plans and scheduling, making the process as easy and enjoyable as possible.
All of our photos are absolutely amazing, Keith was able to capture our special day in such a beautiful way. We love reliving our wedding through his photos, and highly recommend Keith to anyone looking for a wedding photographer in Vermont. -

Keith is at the top of his game! My wife and I worked with Keith for both our engagement and wedding photos and could not be happier with the outcome. He is someone who you feel like you have known for years right out of the gate in your first five minutes of meeting him. He makes everything from start to finish so easy and natural, especially given the circumstances we faced last year with covid, and matches his creative talents and eye with a genuine care for who you are as individuals and people which is sometimes a lost art in today's world of commercial transactions and contract or freelance work. Our photos are absolutely stunning and more awe-inspiring than we ever expected. Plus our family and friends absolutely loved working with him and just getting to know him in the moment which says it all. Fantastic Vermont wedding photographer!
Keith created the most memorable photographs of our mini wedding. From the beginning of the process to the end he was easy to work with, fantastic at communicating, and just super talented in knowing how to compose and capture effortless and beautiful moments. Keith shot our wedding in early November and we could not be more thrilled with how our photos turned out! He was awesome through every step of the process - communicative, helpful, thoughtful. We were nervous about photos since neither of us loves having our photo taken. Keith was great in making us less nervous and not forcing us into any photos that felt strange. Most importantly, he truly captured the emotions we felt that day and the joy we felt in the room during our ceremony and reception. Our guests cannot stop commenting on how great the photos came out. Highly recommend working with him if you have the opportunity - you won't be disappointed! -

Keith is the best at capturing those special moments - he captures them - he doesn't spend hours staging them. :)
Keith is an amazing event photographer!
His command of light is phenomenal. He photographed my daughter’s wedding on a grey spring day and there was no dreariness to his photos.
The rehearsal dinner was inside a restaurant and he managed to give every picture a warm glow.
His ability to capture special moments is uncanny.
The wedding venue was inside a huge historical building and his pictures made the venue a part of the wedding. The wedding didn’t look out of place with his ability to frame the photos he was taking, and again, his command of light.
We were introduced to Keith’s talent when he borrowed my sister’s camera at the engagement party. Photography has been my sister’s hobby forever. When we were reviewing the photos my sister exclaimed- “Does Keith do weddings? Book him now!!!!” She has seen a lot of photographers, people pictures, etc., and she was very impressed with this young man’s magic with a camera that wasn’t even his.
The photos Keith took will be cherished forever. He did such an amazing job of capturing the special moments. He was professional at every turn.
He blended into the events - was never intrusive and always looking for that special moment. He caught hundreds!!!! And caught them well.
We, all of us caught in those moments, can’t thank Keith enough.

Creative, Fun & Personalized Service
If it weren't for Keith's outstanding creativity, wonderful sense of humor, and ability to withstand a monsoon (whilst trekking through various NYC locations) our Elopement photos would have certainly fell short! Keith shot beautiful, natural photographs that captured our personalities perfectly. Not only was he quick and efficient the day-of, but we received our digital photo gallery within a week and a half of our photoshoot! Highlight: Although our photos were shot outdoors in a horrible rainstorm, you would never be able to tell we were ankle deep in puddles by looking at the final product! I'd highly recommend Keith to photograph any event, as he is obviously a talented and dedicated artist who takes pride in his work. T&R -

Incredible experience!
Keith’s pictures go beyond what I could have imagined. He captured our day perfectly. His attention to details caught every piece of our perfect day. He was organized and easy to work with. We planned our wedding in 5 weeks and his ability to respond to emails quickly to answer questions we had made booking him as our photographer stress free. Photo Skeptic Shown the Light!
Words cannot do justice to Keith's incredible work. His kindness and artistic eye captured the joy and natural beauty of all the festivities in such a beautiful way! His greatest talent is finding the small, organic moments of light and love that are so easy to miss. Don't worry if you are camera shy; Keith is extremely patient and will tell you exactly where he wants you to walk, and will let the light and scenery take care of the rest. He understood what we were looking for in our photos, and was extremely flexible to additional requests from family and friends. From meeting me first thing in the morning with coffee to carting us off to portraits before the reception, Keith is the real deal. We are lucky to call him a friend. Call him! You won't be disappointed. :) -

I can't say enough great things about Keith! My husband and I were absolutely blown away at how beautiful our wedding photos turned out. Keiths organic style combined with his keen eye for natural lighting and the outdoors made for some really gorgeous shots. I didn't think I would have so many favorites to choose from!
Keith is also such a pleasure to work with. He is professional, organized and was so accommodating when I asked him last minute to stay an extra hour at our reception. I was so appreciative because we got so many great shots and he was so flexible and wiling to help.
I rarely post reviews but his is so well-deserving. I would highly recommend Keith and hope to work with him again in the future. -

I am so incredibly happy that we chose Keith MacDonald Photography for our wedding! He was an absolute dream to work with! I highly recommend him to any couple looking for classic, beautiful photos. I specifically chose him because of his artistic style and personality. I didn't want to feel photoshopped, but rather natural and Keith was very understanding. He listened and worked with my husband and me to make the photos look and feel like "us." Keith was able to capture every important moment from our wedding as well as countless beautiful candid moments. He was calm, professional, helpful, and able to deal with last minute changes in line-ups for our group shots. He was also able to almost melt into the background never once interrupting the fun. Keith is hands down the best photographer we have ever worked with. Not only were the photos absolutely stunning (we still can’t stop constantly looking at them 9 months later), but he made our wedding day feel like a breeze. We had no day-of coordinator, and Keith worked with our DJ and our officiant to keep everything running smoothly and on time (actually running ahead of time!). But the facilitating did not stop there! When it came time to put my veil on, we realized that no one knew how to put a veil on. Keith actually stepped in and put the veil on beautifully for me! Keith brought in a second shooter, and together, they made everyone on site feel so comfortable and so relaxed. I have never seen a photographer work as hard as Keith worked the day of our wedding. He picked up his camera at 2:30 pm and did not stop until 11 pm. His organizational and directorial skills were so much fun to work with, not only for me, but for the groom and our family and friends as well. He was never pushy or invasive in any way, and never made us feel like we had to pose. He really knew how to capture us in the moment. I’ve received tons of feedback from the wedding guests and all absolutely adore Keith’s work. I have worked with and have seen a lot of photographers, and none of them come close to the quality and the work ethic of Keith’s business. -

Julie Sent on 09/15/2018Keith did a professional couples photo session for my boyfriend and I. He happened to be back in the area from New York so was able to take incredible photos for us around Burlington, Vermont.
Keith was already at location waiting for us when we arrived, and we were immediately greeted with with a warm smile. Keith had a laid back, professional Aurora about him. He made us laugh through getting to know us, which made him snap those perfect natural smile/laughing shots, and not making us feel awkward during it.
In reviewing his photos, I fell in love with the lighting he used, and the angles he saw. I would highly recommend him for any session. He captures those little moments and details perfectly. -
