Kayla and Kitt were absolutely amazing! They did make up for my 8 bridesmaids, my mom, and I for my wedding two weeks ago. Kayla and Kitt were very easy going and were so fun to work with. I only wear eye liner, so I was worried about my make up on my wedding day not looking like me and wanted a natural look. I did a trial with Kayla and she listened to everything I said and had great suggestions. I loved my makeup and was so happy with how all the girls looked as well! Everyone loved their makeup, including my mom who like me, only usually wears eye liner. Kayla and Kitt absolutely loved my mom and it made her feel so special. Kayla and Kitt were a special part of my special day and they were a great addition! I would highly recommend her to anyone and will definitely go with her in the future! -

They are walking angels
I was so stressed about wedding planning and the idea of makeup. I had to move the day and venue one day back because of the original venue backing out. Kayla handled it with such ease and professionalism. They made the day so much better with their positive and hilarious personalities.
All of my bridesmaids and I felt so beautiful walking down the aisle. The makeup stayed on all night without touch ups, including lips!. The quality of the makeup is phenomenal. Im so thankful I found this team. Out of all of my vendors chosen for the wedding, they were the best to work with.
If you are looking for an amazing make up team, you already found them. -

Couldn't ask for better
I highly recommend Idaho stylists. They came highly recommended to me by my wedding coordinator and now I am passing that on. I was nervous going into things because I am a low maintenance girl, don't know the last time I wore makeup and don't own ANY! I wanted to maintain my natural look just enhanced so I looked my absolute best on the big day and for pictures. Kayla immediately made me feel at ease. She listened to what I wanted. Looked at the pictures I brought. Wanted to learn about the whole wedding vibe I was going for and see a picture of my dress to make sure she had the vision I wanted. She made sure I knew what her plan was and the trial was great because we could tweak a few things for the day based on what I wanted and her professional experience. I loved my hair and makeup for my wedding. It lasted all night even in the literal rain and sweat from the dance floor - not one smear or touch up needed. My ladies in the bridal party loved their hair and makeup as well. She has an awesome playlist for the bridal suite and she travels to you on your big day. Thank you Idaho Stylists!!! -

I have had the pleasure of working with Kayla over the years in a professional environment many times and recently had the opportunity to experience her talent as a makeup artist myself.
I had only had my makeup and hair done once before. However the experience I had with Kayla will not be my last. Her attention to detail is so evident. She took the time to listen to me and what I was looking for. I wanted a natural but bold look for my photos.
The results were better then I could have expected. I not only felt beautiful but I felt like me! The high quality products did not make my face feel heavy or brake out. I have very sensitive skin. My hair was beautiful and somehow held the curls. I need her secret on that one.
Kayla is kind and very helpful when helping me narrow down the look I was going for. I can't wait for her to make me beautiful again! Thank you Kayla -

I am so happy I booked these gals. I booked Kayla a few months before the wedding for myself and my two best friends that were helping me the day of. She was great with booking and was easy to share pics on Pinterest with what I wanted. We did a hair and make up trial a month before and it was wonderful and easy. She was laidback and easy to talk to and make changes with. Sometimes I am nervous about fixing or correcting things but she was so easy to work with I felt that I could easily explain what it is that I wanted. The day of she arrived early and was able to get all of our hair and make up done with time for some fun selfies before the ceremony began. She rocked it on the hair and makeup, laughing with us and making us look pretty. It was awesome. I am so happy she was there for my big day! -

I am not sure how to put into words just how much I recommend Idaho Stylists. But here goes nothing.
Planning and having a wedding in 2020 was a nightmare. My husband and I had several venue changes, guest list changes, just plan changes in general. I was searching everywhere for a HMU artist that I liked and could trust. I had to a few, I liked them, but I didn’t get that “ah-ha” feeling. I was desperate, so I started asking around. My photographer recommended Kayla to me. I had been following Idaho Stylists on Instagram for a long time..long enough to know Kayla was a very busy woman, so I had never reached out in fear of being told she wasn’t available. When I finally did, I was greeted with excitement and answers to all of my questions. And, that sought after moment of knowing I had found the right person. Kayla became my go-to for anything and everything appearance related. I’m not even kidding, I was a mess. I was changing things every few days. She was incredible. Anything I suggested or said we talked about it and figured out how to make it work. Kayla is honest. She isn’t going to let you go out there on the biggest day of your life and look like anything but a beautiful bride (not that I think she even has the ability to make anyone look anything less than perfect, but you know..). I had no idea what I wanted to do with my hair, but she knew exactly what would look right with my dress (AND make me feel the most comfortable)! This is all before I even had a chance to meet her in person. Oh my. She is SERIOUSLY one of the kindest people I have ever met. When we did my trial we started with the typical bridal look, and when I said I wanted darker (glam!) she went for it (and was a complete cheerleader/hype man! I felt so special) And I was absolutely shocked. I looked like a princess meets rockstar mashup. It was wild. And I loved it. Fast forward to wedding day.. Kayla was ON it. My mom was before me, and she doesn’t really ever wear makeup or get her hair done, and Kayla was perfect with that. She left her makeup a little more natural, and her hair just formal enough. My mom was (she still is) beautiful. Kayla knew exactly what to do without any true instruction. My mom was even shocked at how well her hair was done, she had never really trusted anyone to do anything with her hair before. When it was time for me to go, I already knew that it was going to be perfect. But I cannot tell you how surreal it was to stand up and look in the mirror to see what magic she had just performed. I cannot stop looking at my photos in awe at how incredible everything turned out.
Long story short... DO IT. It is worth it. 10000000% worth it. Even if it’s just to have that person standing in front of you “ooing and awing” everytime they look at you. Kayla is more than just the person who does your hair and makeup on your wedding day. She is a support. She is an incredible momma, an incredible artist, and an amazing person to have on your team. I could not have chosen any better, and never in a million years would I choose differently. -

Kayla and her team are some of the most talented, friendly, professional group of ladies! I am a local wedding planner and I have worked with them many, many times over the years and I have NEVER been disappointed. I encourage my brides to hire them, because they are always early, they do an amazing job, they keep everything sanitary, and they will do whatever they can to give you the best day ever! I even hired them to do my hair and makeup for our company head shots and it was so perfect! Once you talk to them and see their work, you will fall in love! So you need to get a hold of them and book them for your bid day!! -

Kayla was recommended to me by many of my vendors, and I’m so happy she was available for my wedding! From my first inquiry I knew she was going to be awesome! She was very responsive and even asked for some photos to gave her an idea of my wedding inspiration. At my trial, she gave me a look that was Pinterest worthy! The morning of my wedding Kayla was right on time, even a little early. Everyone looked amazing and they couldn’t believe how great she was! I was so calm all morning because I knew I was in such great hands (and because of her amazing head massage she gave, wowza!). Our hair looked great all night long. I can’t recommend Kayla enough, she is so talented at her craft and you can tell she really loves what she does. If you’re thinking of booking Kayla, act quick before she gets booked up! -

Kayla and Lynsey were absolutely amazing on my wedding day. From the moment they arrived at the venue, they were full of laughter and bubbly personality, which helped calm those pre wedding nerves during the getting ready process. They both were fantastic and my whole bridal party looked amazing. I truly am thankful for how flexible they were with adding flowers into my hair in the middle of the process. Absolutely amazing!
Lynsey and Heather worked their magic on my wedding day, making myself and each of my bridesmaids and mom look unique and beautiful hair and makeup. Working with Kayla to book was so simple and flexible. I was in a bind 2 months before my wedding day when my original makeup artist backed out, I was already booked for hair with Lynsey and Kayla had heather ready and available- they saved the day! You won’t regret hiring this team, they’re all sweet and quick and pay attention to every detail. Thank you again Heather and Lynsey and Kayla! -

I hired Kayla as I am pretty clueless when it comes to hair and makeup. I showed her a picture of my dress and she asked me questions to better understand the look I was wanting. From there she was able to come up with an updo and makeup style that was perfect! The look was very glamorous and bridal but also still me without being overdone. My bridesmaids also had their hair done by Kayla and they looked fantastic! Kayla is friendly, engaging, and a calm presence while getting ready. -

Cannot say enough good things about Kayla!
Kayla was amazing, and I will be recommending her to everyone I know! I was an out of town bride, and Kayla made the process of meeting with her and coming up with ideas together so easy. She took the time to get to know me and really listened to what I was wanting, and she nailed the natural look I was going for on my wedding day. She created makeup looks for myself and my seven bridesmaids, as well as my mother and grandmother, starting at 6:45am with a smile on her face and a coffee in hand. Kayla was wonderful to work with. She was fun, flexible, & professional. She did a fantastic job and helped make our head-shot photo's turn out beautiful! Even though most of us are not used to being in front of the camera she made us feel comfortable and at ease in her chair. She listened to what our individual needs and concerns were and customized each person's services, keeping the look natural and not "too made up" I felt like I looked years younger in a completely natural way. She knew the exact thing to do with our hair and I personally even learned some tricks from her. On another note, as a person who works in the special events industry I have got to see her in action with other clients and I can vouch for her skill and expertise. EVERYTHING a bride needs ok their day!
I was an out of state bride, so finding the perfect vendors in Idaho was scary and very important to us. Kayla is incredibly responsive and makes sure not only keep her door open, but she takes her time to get to know you and your vision for the big day. Kayla is FANTASTIC to work with because of her fun personality and obvious passion for what she does. I truly felt like I had known her my whole life! She took her time yet works quickly, and I have never felt so radiant and beautiful, and thanks to Kayla I was able to embrace our big day with complete and total confidence! Thank you Kayla! -

Emmy Sent on 06/05/2018Above and BEYOND!!! I seriously cant say enough about Kayla and all that she did for my wedding! Not only is she super caring and so fun to be around and talk to, but she is remarkably talented! From the second I met her at the Boise Bridal Show in January 2018 she was enthusiastic and paid great attention to detail! She was consistently quick with responses to all my silly questions and made sure that she had the answers she needed as well! She loves her work, you can see it and feel it every conversation you have with her! She checked with me repeatedly while doing my trial hair if the style was what I wanted. She came to me for my trial and was so flexible with scheduling she made this aspect of my wedding a breeze. Which in turn made everything else run smoothly. I had over 5 people get their hair done with her from my wedding party and each one only had the best things to say about her. She was willing to do payments for her services as well, weddings are costly and stressful enough, but Kayla truly made mine incredible. She pampered me and helped me relax on the day of, I truly could not have asked for a better hair stylist, person or now friend for my wedding! Book her!

Katy Sent on 04/26/2018Kayla did an absolutely perfect job on my hair for my wedding day!! She was kind and sweet and was able to take my ideas and create the perfect hairstyle. My wedding day was not without less then perfect weather and my hair withstood crazy wind, flash rain and still looked perfect by the end of the night! So not only does she make it look beautiful she makes sure it will hold up no matter what and boy did Mother Nature test that! You would be making a very smart choice in picking Kayla for your wedding day I am so glad I did!

Kayla has an awesome personality--fun and bubbly--she was more than willing to work with us when we had to move our date due to covid. Unfortunately we had a poor experience at my trial, and so we had to break our contract as I did not feel confident in her abilities, especially as I am planning my wedding far away from the destination. I had sent Kayla photos of what I was looking for--a sleek, low, intricate bun. I had told Kayla during our initial phone consult that I was not a "boho" bride, and I was looking for a clean, natural look--no problem, she said. I flew across the country specifically for the trial, and drove 5 hours with my mom and sister to Idaho. My mom wanted to trial hair/makeup with me, and my sister wanted to try hair. The morning of the trial, Kayla was running 20 mins late for our 9am trial due to traffic, which happens. However, she had gotten in from another wedding the night before, and had booked a flight at 12 noon for another event--so we had an hour and 40 minutes for everything. Thus, the entire experience felt incredibly rushed. I had prioritized and booked the trial over 2 months in advance. The airbrushed makeup was nice. However for the fake lashes, every time they tried to glue them on glue got everywhere, and I couldn't open my eye well. There was also a gap between my real lashes and my false ones. My mom had the same issue. The products the used were unimpressive--Covergirl lipwear, etc. For $100, I expected something better. Not a deal breaker, but concerning. The final straw was my hair--I sat down in the chair, and the entire hair style from start to finish took about 15 minutes--for a $100 dollars. It was a small, messy bun with a few bobby pins that I could have done myself. I felt like I was going to work, it felt that messy. It was so far off from what I asked for. I was honest, and told Kayla this, so she tried again, but again the results were very disappointing, and I had to fight back tears. When I showed photos to a different hair stylist she couldn't believe that was a trial. I have seen my girlfriend's trial photos for similar styles, and none of them looked like this. I understand that a trial is not meant to be perfect--it is a time to troubleshoot. But how could I trust that on the day of my wedding, Kayla could do something radically different than the trial? As a cross-country bride, that felt like too much of a gamble. She was saying that she could bring some fake hair, or inserts to put into the bun, but she didn't bring them with her, which felt really unprepared. The entire experience--an 1:40 minutes--cost 500 dollars, which is unfathomable. The only person who liked her hair was my MOH--my mom's hair style was super flat and not very flattering, but by the time they finished and my mom wanted them to try something else, they were packing up to leave for their flight. Again, I think they were incredibly kind people, but we felt taken advantage of. She also never checked in with us after the experience. It would have gone a long way if she would have messaged me something like "hey, I know it wasn't exactly what you wanted, but here is how I'm going to make it how you want it"--but no, she took the money and we never heard from her after. My planner tried to get a partial refund for the experience since it was rushed and unprepared. However Kayla refused saying we got what we paid for. Incredibly disappointing customer service all around.
