Our Kauai Wedding

Frieda was so helpful from the beginning of our wedding planning until the evening of our ceremony. She was very thorough and pays great attention to detail.

Freida was great! We selected her through "Kauai Elopements". She emailed and then met with us over the phone to get to know us, before we landed in Kauai for our elopement. She addressed all our beforehand inquiries and aligned with what we were wanting for our elopement.
Day of the ceremony, Freida arrived early to our private location off the beaten trail, she was prepared, very professional and had worked with other vendors which created a very relaxing atmosphere. Everything we wanted for our ceremony she made it happen that morning. So appreciative!!!!
And what sets Freida apart... After the ceremony she filed all the paperwork for the marriage certificate so quickly + efficiently that we received the permanent marriage license a week and a half after the ceremony in our home state! This has made the transition to married life so much easier!

Mahalo Frieda! The absolute best!
Wow where to start! Frieda was absolutely amazing. We planned a vacation for two weeks in Kauai with our two daughters (4 years old and 6 months old). We talked about having a simple wedding ceremony while there but we weren’t sure if it would be possible on such short notice and with no planning. However, upon arrival on the island, I googled wedding officiant and Frieda was the first to come up! I read through her website and gave her a call. From there she took over and made the process the most simple and enjoyable experience. She gave us step by step on how to apply for our marriage license, she handled booking our photographer (Liz who was also a joy to work with), all the flowers, and had a wonderful

I found Frieda online for our destination elopement and I’m so glad I did! She was so responsive and was willing to take our suggestions. She helped with our ideas and had all the right permits and information we needed. She asked what colors we were wearing and matched them which I thought was so above and thoughtful. Frieda is so well mannered, kind, professional, well spoken and is there to make your day the best she can. I was pretty nervous and she did whatever she could to help ease me. I would recommend her to anyone getting married. She also just a warm presence on your wedding day.

The best choice
We couldn’t have asked for a better officiant! She was professional, kind, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. She even suggested a better spot for our ceremony that turned out to be absolutely perfect. Everything felt so natural and meaningful because of her guidance.
She also brought along her friend, the photographer, who was just as wonderful — kind, patient, and made us feel so comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera. They were both such a great team and made the whole experience easy and enjoyable.

Right from our first meeting, my husband and I knew that Frieda would make our day special. She asked thoughtful questions, quickly understood the relaxed yet meaningful ceremony we envisioned, and struck the perfect balance between professionalism and warmth.
Since we eloped and I handled most of the planning myself, Frieda’s guidance was invaluable. She shared helpful tips and even assisted us in reserving the beautiful and private Kalihiwai Falls in Kauai. The day before the wedding, we had a call with her that left us both feeling calm and reassured, but also so excited for the big day. She carefully explained all the legalities and took the time to get to know us personally, so she could weave meaningful details into the ceremony beyond what we had written in our vows. She even asked about our preferences for her outfit and chose a gorgeous green dress that complemented the setting perfectly.
On the wedding day, Frieda was such a calming and joyful presence. Even though we were running a little late, she was patient and kind. During the ceremony, she went with the flow and embraced our little quirks like us asking questions midway through and pulling out an electric handheld fan when it got too hot! She understood our humor, honored our love for one another, and led a ceremony that felt deeply personal. The lei exchange she included was such a beautiful and sentimental touch, blending Hawaiian tradition with our own story.
We can’t recommend Frieda highly enough. She is an absolute star thoughtful, genuine, and truly wonderful to work with. -

We had the most heartfelt and meaningful Hawaiian blessing ceremony with Frieda Gayle on August 31, and I cannot recommend her enough. From the moment we first connected, Frieda brought a genuine spirit of aloha, warmth, and care to every detail.
She helped me plan a surprise symbolic ceremony for my wife’s birthday, and her support was exceptional — from coordinating flowers (including a beautiful haku lei and fresh leis), handling the beach permit, and even helping arrange a photographer to capture the moment. She responded to every question with patience and kindness, and helped calm all the pre-ceremony nerves.
The ceremony included a sand blending ritual, lei exchange, and lovely reflections on Ohana and Ho'ao, all in a quiet, scenic beach nook she suggested — far from the crowds, just like we hoped. She even ensured the timing matched the golden sunset glow for our special photos.
If you're looking for something simple yet deeply beautiful, with someone who truly cares, Frieda is the one. We are so grateful to her for making our Hawaiian blessing so memorable, meaningful, and filled with love and intention.

We had such an incredibly loving and beautiful wedding ceremony on the beach that we will never forget. Frieda took so much time, especially in advance, to advise us well and to find the perfect place for us on the island of Kauai on the beach. Since we are from Germany and therefore the papers for the subsequent certification in Germany are much more complex, she also invested a lot of time and patience here so that we had all the relevant documents and submitted them correctly. We are from Nevada and had no idea how to make a Hawaiian wedding happen, but Frieda really helped get us on the right track with everything – including the paperwork.
Once we were past all the paperwork, Frieda was very flexible with what we wanted to do while at the same time providing us with valuable tips and suggestions. In fact, we did not make a final decision on where we would even have the ceremony until the afternoon before the wedding! We settled on Shipwreck Beach – which was one of the locations she suggested we check out.
When we asked, she offered suggestions for a marriage license agent, florist, photographer, and videographer. She did not push us toward any of them, but provided some names for us to research. We went with one of her suggestions (for each of those things) and that was a great choice as the three of them (Frieda, photographer, and videographer) were like a well-oiled machine – they worked really well together, each getting their job done perfectly while not interfering with the others.
As to the ceremony itself (February 4, 2025), Frieda gave us some ideas and we opted for her “Base Aloha Kauai Wedding Ceremony,” which was anything but base as she had spent a good chunk of time chatting with to get to know us and then worked a lot of that information seamlessly into the ceremony.
Frieda (and friends) were wonderful and made this a very personal and special event rather than a quick “canned” wedding.
We can wholeheartedly suggest that you reach out to Frieda for your Kauai wedding.

Best Ever Wedding
Communication with Freida was easy and efficient. She was always avail for questions or thoughts about our wedding. Her services were perfect for us as she arranged for Leis, a photographer (& Ashely was the best!), gave us excellent ceremony suggestions, and made it easy to make the payments for her. We feel Freida’s fees were very reasonable. There were zero glitches and she was always ready to accommodate our needs. Great Experience
We really loved having Frieda for our beach ceremony. Not only that, but in many ways she made our last-minute elopement happen: she worked with the florist, picked up the flowers and brought them to us, gave us plenty of options for wording, walked us through the whole ceremony beforehand, gave us tips on what to do to get the best photos, and even got us a ukulele player. She was very friendly and extremely helpful through the whole process. She was very professional yet a down to earth person, it was so easy dealing with her. We felt so comfortable with her. We are an older couple together for over 9 years. We wanted to have a simple, fun and stress free ceremony to make our marriage official! Freida delivered that and so much more!! She helped us with a photographer and videographer (both exceeded our expectations) and helped personalize the ceremony which made it so emotional and memorable! Freida was also flexible with us as we moved our beach wedding to our condo balcony during a rain storm and then rain back down to the beach during a break in the rain to finish our and blending ceremony and pronouncement. A Perfect Kauai Elopement
We had a trip planned to Kauai in September of 2023 and soon realized we could elope while there. After considering a Southern California courthouse ceremony, Kauai became even more appealing. After researching officiants, I was fortunate to find Frieda Gayle. After our first phone conversation, I knew I did not need to look any further! We thoroughly enjoyed having Frieda officiate and appreciated her professionalism and flexibility in providing different civil ceremony options. It was also reassuring to receive referrals as well (site recommendations, leis, photography, etc.). Frieda made the process extremely easy even when it came to obtaining our wedding license. From our first contact, Frieda was approachable, informative and responded to all subsequent questions and requests for help with referrals as well as the service she directly provides. She knows the best island locations, time of day, likely weather conditions. Frieda was so helpful in helping us navigate a wedding on the island of Kauai—a place very far from Pennsylvania. She provided all the necessary contacts, marriage agents, websites, etc... She made sure we were instrumental in the planning of our ceremony. Choosing the theme and the vows. She also added personal touches just from our conversations. It was a beautiful day! -

Frieda was the best choice for us!
We were on vacation when we decided that we should just get married right then and there. My now-husband reached out to Frieda Gayle and, not only did she make our tiny, spur-of-the-moment wedding happen on that very same day, she helped us figure out the logistcal pieces, recommended a beautiful spot to have it, and even took a few photos for us after. Even though I had originally thought I wanted a quick paperwork signing - as we would be doing something big with our families and friends at a later date - when we met, she offered the opportunity for a small ceremony and we took her up on it. Her words were perfect and now, a year later, I'm so glad we had her there to remind us to take a breath and be present in the moment at our sunset beachfront beginning of our lives together.
In the end we had a very small but deeply personal wedding. I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone who is looking for a thoughtful wedding officiant! -

Frieda G. delivered "best" all round service for our Kauai wedding day. From the first day of planning to the day of wedding she took care of entire details with professionalism, expertise, friendliness, and promptness. Her directions for marriage license details and completing on-line state application serval months in advance of date helped us through unknown waters so that on day of arrival we obtained marriage license in 2.5 hours. The next day we married at sunset with Frieda officiating. Liz the photographer did an excellent job beyond what we had hoped could be! Perfect Hawaii wedding
Freida was the most wonderful person to work with! Frieda was an absolute dream to work with! From the moment I first emailed her about my plans, she was responsive, warm, helpful, and kind. Our elopement had several moving parts including a last-minute location change due to weather just hours before, and a post-wedding update to the marriage certificate in which she was flexible and understanding through it all. We loved Frieda's energy and warmth during the ceremony and appreciated her weaving in a few details about us that we had shared with her earlier to give it a personal touch. Frieda was incredibly helpful! She helped us move some mountains to pull off a last-minute elopement. We were so incredibly happy to have her be available and communicative to help us figure out all the details of our wedding. We were able to elope in less than 24th hours! She took our call, set up logistics, called marriage license agents (all on a Sunday) and we were able to have a sunrise ceremony with beautiful photographs.
