A dream brought to life
Working with Kate was so easy and she understood my vision completely. I didn’t have many inspo pics, more a description of what I wanted my wedding to feel like and Kate really brought that feeling to life. Mine and my bridal party bouquets were beautiful and when I walked into our reception room I cried at how perfect and romantic the room looked. Kate was really easy to work with and was honest about where and what should I use my budget on. My wedding day was a dream brought to life and that’s a huge part of the wonderful work Kate and her team did! -

Must Hire!
When I got engaged, I knew I must hire Kate as my florist. Kate and her team did my sister's wedding 7 years ago and my best friend's wedding last year. She is also doing the florals and event design for my brother's wedding in October.
Kate has an exceptional ability to pull common themes from her client's mood boards and create a one of a kind vision. I was so indecisive with what I wanted my decor vision to be. Kate was so patient and kept me calm and always gave me ideas to consider. I am so glad I trusted Kate. She is hands down the best! -

Wonderful with every detail!
Katydid was not only my daughters Florist, she was also out full planner. The attention to every detail was incredible . Our wedding planning was so easy , as Kate handled it all.
The day of the wedding , our venue was just beautiful , we couldn’t have asked for anything more! -

My favorite vendor!
Kate was the most incredible person to work with. We unfortunately had to postpone our June 2020 wedding due to covid but still had a small ceremony on our original date, followed by a big reception in 2021. Kate did the florals for both days and we couldn’t have been happier with the outcome. She is incredibly talented, unique and creative. She truly brings your vision to life. Kate is kind, organized, professional and responsive. Do not hesitate to book her!!

Pure perfection!!
This is the note that I sent to Kate right after my daughter's wedding:
Dear Kate and Leslie,
How can I even begin to thank you? The wedding was beyond anything that we could ever have hoped for. It has been an absolute pleasure working with you both. It all began when everyone saw those beautiful bouquets at the church and then the guests collectively gasped when the entered the ballroom at the club! Your talent, creativity, warmth ( lots of support!) was everything to me. How lucky we were to find you! I will send pictures soon… it is a wedding we will all remember with flooded streets the days before the event, but I had a team behind me to ensure that all would be fine! The happy couple are on a flight to the Maldives for their honeymoon and when they come home, I know that they will also be reaching out to you. My daughter said yesterday “ Kate saw my vision and more, Mom. It’s so beautiful!”
Your creativity, talent and warm personality was everything that we hoped for and I feel so lucky to have found you!

Wonderful attention to detail!
Kate of Katydid was amazing! She completely got my vision and made it happen so beautifully. She’s an incredibly nice woman, and cares about every last detail of your event. I received so many compliments about our flowers! We got married at the Spring Lake Bath & Tennis Club, and she knew the venue inside and out, which was a huge plus as well. She thought of things that wouldn’t have even crossed my mind. For example, she knew how many chavari chairs the venue had, and knew that with my guest count I would end up having a mix of different types of chairs unless I inquired about renting extra. I SO appreciated her attention to detail and having a cohesive look for everything! I trusted her eye so much, I even emailed her when I was trying to pick out a menu for the table!
Beautiful work and excellent service! Would absolutely recommend! -

Kate and Leslie beyond exceeded all my dreams of what my wedding flowers and decor would look like. I was not very good with putting into words exactly what I wanted, but it was like they just knew. The transformation of my venue ballroom and chapel were absolutely incredible and I can’t thank and recommend them enough! -

Elegant Dream Wedding Executed to Perfection!
Working with Katydid was a dream! Kate and Leslie took my daughter's vision of a fairytale wedding and executed to perfection at Park Chateau Sept 2018. A Perfect Experience!
Katydid flowers did a beautiful job for our wedding at Bonnet Island Estate! From the moment I met Kate she saw my vision and it was truly brought to life on my big day! From the ceremony flowers, to the ballroom, to the personal flowers, everything was exactly what I asked for. She even made a special request happen when she found my beer loving husband hops for his boutineers! I remember being so excited when we got that email! True detail! What was also awesome is that Kate knew the venue so well and was able to suggest ideas to me that otherwise I wouldn’t have thought of. Lastly, she was able to help me fit her work into my budget and made suggestions as to where I could cut back if I needed to. Katydid did a wonderful job! -

Bain wedding

Kate and her team created a boutique I could not have even dreamed up. They were so wonderful throughout the planning process as well as the day of the event. I had some major changes to my Wedding due to COVID, and Kate and her team were so understanding and flexible! Katydid flowers really added a magical touch to the day and I cannot wait to get our professional pictures back to have more memories of their beautiful creations. -

An eye for the entire vision
When looking for our florist, we searched high and low for someone who understood our "refined bohemian" vibe. After digging through albumns of recent weddings in our area, we kept coming across the same name for floral arrangements that caught our eye. They were a bit abstract with a whole lot of style and felt like each arrangement spoke to the couple that held them.
It took one call with Katie and we were hooked!
Throughout the entire process Katie saw the bigger picture and alllowed us to make adjustments to fit the feel of our florals to the big day as it got closer. Her suggestions on how to round out the space and little touches around the venue made BIG impacts. Our guests could not stop talking about all of the texture and lush beach vibes that Katie brought to the room. The florals were a standout!
We could not have been happier with the magic that Katie created and we look forward to working with her in the future. -

A little bummed
We first met with Kate and enjoyed the vision that she discussed. Starting with the positives – the bridal bouquet and bridesmaids bouquets were gorgeous. They were exactly what we wanted. The flowers up the aisle, that got repurposed in front of the suite heart table were also very pretty. The arch was perfect and exactly what we pictured. For what we paid for the center pieces, we were upset with how little some were. We had three different centerpieces varied throughout the room. The large ones were pretty. The smaller ones were really small, which was not what we discussed or envisioned. Kate ended up having to go back to the shop to get more flowers, because my mom luckily checked in the ballroom earlier in the day to see what they looked liked. The boutonnieres were quite small. The venue somehow had some that we used for the father of the bride, father of the groom and the groom, because they were that small. We also struggled a bit with Kate’s organization. Overall, the flowers looked pretty, but we weren’t thrilled with some aspects. -
