  Captured Every Beautiful Moment

  Katy has such an amazing eye for composition and capturing all of the small beautiful moments. My husband and I aren't very comfortable in front of a camera, and we didn't want to spend most of our wedding day posing for photos, but we did want to capture all of the moments that we had planned and the joyful interactions of the day. Katy's style of documentary photography captured every beautiful moment of our day, even moments that I wasn't aware of at the time. She made us feel so comfortable during our portraits and engagement sessions that I can't believe how the photos turned out. She and her husband quietly and gracefully moved through our wedding, our guests loved meeting them, and she took lovely photos of every guest that was present. I can't gush enough over how much we appreciate their work, and if you're considering hiring them, please do!

  Katy and her husband, Patrick, are hands down amazing. I have no other words. We are not lovers of being photographed but Katy & Patrick made us feel so comfortable on our special day and our pictures turned out beyond perfect. Katy is so easy to work with, her prices are fair, her work is amazing and she is SO, so kind. I would recommend her to anyone!

  Working with Katy was so amazing! From start to finish she was so easy and enjoyable to be around. The photos for our engagement session and final wedding photos were beyond gorgeous. I couldn't have been happier! I would absolutely recommend her.

  If you are newly engaged and need a photographer to capture your engagement and wedding, do yourself a favor and book Katy now! Her and her husband Patrick did an incredible job on our engagement photos and wedding pictures. Katy was very organized, helpful, and communicated effectively from our initial inquiry. Katy and her husband Patrick not only take great photos, but they added to the joy and excitement of our wedding day. One of my groomsman said, "he (Patrick) actually made it fun to take pictures, and normally I hate pictures". They are very laid back people, but are also very professional about capturing the moments that go by so quickly. My wife and I highly recommend Katy O'Dell photography to any looking for a great value and a tremendous experience.

She has great forms to fill out to make sure that we are on the same page making me feel super prepared day off.   Oh. My. Goodness. Katy is an absolutely amazing talent. Her eye for composition, candidness, and ability to capture even the most minute moments are bar none. And on top of that, she's just the sweetest human ever. We were a bit nervous for our engagement photo shoot (which she traveled to Chicago for), but she helped us feel at ease and comfortable. I can't recommend having an engagement session enough to practice for the big day...it truly made all the difference. And! We got to hang out with Katy on more than one occasion. Bonus!
  
  Our wedding day was the most perfect day ever and I truly don't think that would have been the case if Katy and Patrick weren't our photographers. They kept the group on schedule (and everyone wanted to stay on schedule because K+P are the best). Combined, K+P captured not just our wedding day, but the feelings of love, joy, and laughter seriously pop out of the images, and no image seemed overly posed of both us, the wedding party, and guests. Katy sent a sizeable preview to us within 2 weeks of the wedding (plus bonuses on social media!) and our full gallery within 8 weeks. It seems like a minor miracle because there were SO many beautiful images, like there's not one that I don't want to print and frame. We are going to need a bigger place with bigger walls. It's a testament to Katy's natural talent, both behind the lens and interacting with everyone at our wedding, and her seriously hard-working nature. She and Patrick captured "us" in a way that has never been done before.
  
  I can't wait for the next photo shoot that we do with her. Just amazing.

  We loved Katy's style from the very beginning, and boy it didn't disappoint. Her and her husband Patrick make a really great team and you know that while they are apart you are still getting consistent style. They are super thoughtful and I don't think we could have chosen a better photographer to spend our day with!

  Katy is an outstanding person to work with! She knows how to capture the perfect moment while adding an artistic touch. Photography was one thing that we were not willing to skimp on and Katy did not disappoint. I searched through tons of photographers and am so glad we went with Katy and Patrick (her husband and second shooter).

  Oh my gosh! Katy is awesome! She is so talented and so sweet. She sent us cards for Christmas, the wedding, and a care package before the big day. She goes above and beyond.   Katy was simply amazing to work with!! From the first e-mail I knew that she would be perfect for our wedding at Millcreek Barn. Her attention to detail and the way she could capture emotions through photographs was all that I needed to see to know she was what I was looking for in a wedding photographer.
  
  We met up with Katy prior to our wedding to do our engagement photo shoot. I would highly suggest this- This was an opportunity for Katy to get to know us and for us to get to know her. She also was able to help coach us to grab some really great shots. This was also a great time for us to get comfortable with a stranger taking pictures of us… by the end of the engagement shoot Katy no longer felt like a stranger!
  
  On our wedding day Katy was seriously the calm in my wedding day storm. There are so many things happening and so many people pulling you in different directions- Katy was able to just do her thing and capture some great shots. Katy also brought her husband, Patrick to take photos of the guys getting ready. He was so easy to work with as well- I mean anyone who can handle my (now) husband has to be pretty talented!! Katy and Patrick had a list of the photos we had requested (she will send you a pre-wedding questioner about a month prior to the wedding- make sure you do it!). They made sure to capture all of the pictures that we had requested and then some!

  I am beyond thrilled with how our wedding photos turned out. They look like something out of a fairytale. Katy and her husband were so laid back and easy to work with. They made sure to get pictures of every little detail that I had requested. Katy will direct you on exactly what to do which takes a pressure off. I hope to be able to use her again in future photo shoots!

  Katy was a dream to work with from day one. She had taken photos for a friend's wedding, and I was incredibly impressed with her work and demeanor on the day of the wedding. She is friendly, professional, and creative. She listens well to her clients wants and needs and uses her knowledge of photography to really capture what they want. Because I was planning an out-of-state wedding, she communicated well via e-mail and was very flexible with our package to make sure we were happy. The pricing was very reasonable, and the quality of pictures we received in the end was worth much more. She and her husband make a great team, and they helped make our wedding day phenomenal.

  Katy is my GO-TO photographer. I can't recommend her highly enough. We have hired her on multiple occasions to capture huge life changes in our family. She is always professional, and easy to get along with. You will enjoy her presence, or not even notice she is there....the perfect photographer combo.

  Katy was very accommodating and flexible. Our wedding was small and non-traditional and she had no problem with that. She also took beautiful pictures that will allow us to remember a beautiful day and wonderful weekend. She was a joy to work with.

I liked that Katy enjoyed my "update" e-mails as wedding projects were completed, dresses picked out, etc. because it showed she truly cared about the details of our day, we weren't just a paycheck to her. Katy and Patrick were a joy to have at our celebration and they even stayed to dance and hang out with us after the contracted time ended. It did take until the end of the estimated turn around time for the pictures, but Katy provided me with an update e-mail so I wasn't just sitting there wondering.   My husband and I originally considered Katy as a photographer because she was a friend of a friend, but she beat out the other competition we were looking into because of her sheer talent and passion. During our first meeting with her she teared up because of her love for love (and mayyyybe pregnancy hormones ;) which was a huge sell for me. Not only is she incredibly good at what she does, but she loves it which shows in her photographs. She gives good direction when she's photographing you and takes great care to make sure you're comfortable and having a good time. She'll be my go to photographer for all of our special occasions.

  Katy is great. She is very friendly and fun, and on top of that she takes beautiful photos. I will definitely be recommending her to anyone I know who needs a photographer.

  Katy O Photo was awesome to work with! From traveling for our engagement pictures to following us around town to take wedding photos, Katy and her husband Patrick went above and beyond. They didn't miss a beat on the day of the wedding and we have beautiful pictures to prove it. Unlike many photographers, Katy O's turnaround time for having the photos edited was very quick (within a month or so of the wedding). We loved Katy O so much that she will be doing our maternity photos this summer and possibly photographing our newborn as well when the time comes! Thanks, Katy and Patrick!

  Katy was so easy to work with, and made us both feel completely comfortable. She quickly caught our vision. We were thrilled with the results! Katy captured the feel and vibe of our special day beautifully. I would recommend her to anyone.

  I absolutely Loved having Katy O as my photographer!!! Katy O photographed my wedding and I loved all of our pictures. The only reason I gave a 4.5 on quality of service is because I wish I had more guidance on what pictures to have captured on my special day. After looking through my pictures I thought to myself 'Aw I wish I had this or that photographed.' Otherwise I couldn't be happier!!! My only suggestion to any bride/groom regardless of your photographer is to research what pictures you want and have a list for your photographer (which should be Katy O =D). I would definitely recommend Katy O Photo to be your photographer!!
