Katie was the best wedding planner we could ask for!

When looking for a wedding planner in Charleston, it was very difficult to find a partial planner who was "all in" without the full time planner title. Katie customized her services to our needs while going above and beyond to consider details that we hadn't. She over anticipated every need on the wedding day. My mom is not easy to impress and two months after the wedding, she is still talking about how amazing Katie and her team were! I was not stressed for a moment on our big day and that was in huge part to Katie! If you are questioning booking her, just do it! You won't regret it!!

We booked Katie for the month of coordination package and she was hands down the reason our wedding was so incredible. When initially meeting with planners before deciding to book anyone, a lot of people surprisingly answers "no we dont do that" or "no we cant do that" to so many of our questions. Katie's response to everything, the entire process, was "We will figure it out!". That energy of willingness to go the extra mile for people was truly priceless. Let alone the fact that she is just such a wonderful person to be around! Katie made our wedding planning process seamless, and I truly believe she is invaluable.

Katie Jean Events absolutely exceeded our expectations. We had the pleasure of working with Katie throughout the entire wedding process as she was our full service planner. Katie and her team truly go above and beyond not only throughout the planning process but on the actual day as well. While planning, Katie helped us stay on budget, while connecting us to other amazing vendors that aligned with our vision. She helped us with everything- from the design process to selecting vendors that were a great fit. She makes the planning process so stress free and enjoyable. Amazing, wonderful, perfect

Katie was 1000% the glue to my wedding planning! Unfortunately, we did not find her until we were in a pickle leaving another planner who was a poor fit. Katie swooped in as if we had been with her from the beginning. She made me feel valued as a bride no matter the price range, and she supported all of our dreams, making it the best fit for our needs. Logistically, she was so easy to work with, and she helped make our day perfect. Book with this wonderful team and group of humans!

Katie not only moved our vendors and managed our Covid cancelled wedding for 3+ years, but she put out any and all fires without me (the bride) ever being aware. Miracle worker! Best planner ever!

Katie was truly the most spectacular person to have by your side on your wedding day (and every day leading up to the big day)!!! Katie is beyond patient, SO incredibly kind and so TALENTED at her job!!! She made our wedding day SEAMLESS .. absolutely perfect y'all!! We were hesitant to hire a planner thinking that we could handle planning a small wedding on our own and we were beyond happy we ended up hiring Katie and her team! She held our hand the entire way leading up to the wedding day - helping us make decisions, contacting vendors, get quotes and pricing, contract logistics, organizing it all and listening to all our of ideas and wishes for the wedding. Anytime we made a change or had a question, she was on it!! The wedding day was the most magical and perfect day of our lives and that wouldn't have happened with Katie and her team!! She orchestrated the entire event to perfection, truly a miracle worker!!!!! She tended to Peter and I from sun up to sun down, anything we needed, she was there for us! The timing of everything was down to the second, she was so organized and ready to tackle it all on our big day. She helped with anything and everything!! Her services and professionalism was nothing short of amazing

We used Katie for our wedding in April of 22 a Lowndes Grove. We purchased her partial package and it was more than we could’ve asked for. She kept communication flowing, gave vendor recommendations, helped negotiate, and more. She was professional and so was her team. The Best Wedding Planner Ever!

I can not say enough kind things about Katie, she went above and beyond every step of the way in our wedding planning process!! We like many other brides were affected by COVID-19 and had to post-pone our wedding but in that process Katie helped make that transition so smooth and helped put our fears aside. She has such a calming presence to her. She is incredibly well-organized and creative with new ideas that truly helped me when I felt in a rut with planning. Her referrals to other vendors were so on point and always conscious of our budget. I just can not recommend her enough!! We are so thankful for Katie and her team for pulling off our dream wedding, she is truly the best in the business with a heart of gold!!

Took the stress out of planning

We did the partial planning package with Katie Jean and it made planning a breeze! The communication was fantastic throughout the entire process. She helped us find great vendors that fit within our budget, developed a timeline, and coordinated all the vendors for the day of. On the wedding day, Stefany took point and we could not be happier with how the wedding went. Everything ran smoothly, they helped with set up and break down, kept things moving. Stefany even made sure that we had a chance to eat our amazing food. The day was absolutely perfect! I cannot recommend Katie, Stefany and the rest of the team enough!

Hands Down, Best Decision to hire Katie!

Without a doubt, hiring Katie and her team to be our wedding planner was the BEST decision ever! She made the entire process go so much smoother than I could ever had envision; day-of was flawless and seamless from our end which is exactly what we wanted. Someone in my bridal party told me this was the calmest, most relaxed wedding she's been apart of and that's all due to Katie's planning process, experience, and hard work. I'm telling anyone who is newly engaged to use her services because she made everything easy -- from explaining concepts that were foreign to me or providing us a list of vendors and quotes to handling logistics on day-of, she's worth her weight in gold! Stunning and Unbelievable were words used to describe my daughter’s wedding thanks to Katie Jean Events. The weather was miserable for our outdoor Wedding day but Katie had a detailed rain plan that created an even more perfect event . Anything we asked her or any issues that came up she just said ok and handled it . She and her team didn’t even flinch when we pulled up with a uhaul truck and a pick up truck full items to be set up ! With the rain , we just left things to set up and it was beyond my daughter’s vision . She felt as if it were something from a magazine ! So stop your search and book this amazing team!

Best decision ever

My husband and I got married in August at the William Aiken house. Katie is the best wedding planner on earth. She’s responsive, professional, anticipated all needs and is so incredibly helpful. If you are debating not having a wedding planner, or deciding between a few options- I am telling you with full confidence- look no further. We had wedding guests even mention to us how incredible katie was- I didn’t even know guests noticed the wedding planner?! So impressive. Katie kept our whole wedding in line, organized, and helped us choose the best vendors on earth. A guest at our wedding actually split her dress open during the ceremony- and katie immediately helped her repair the dress with contents from her magic Fanny pack. I also had a piece of hair fall down during the reception and katie immediately pulled out hair spray and Bobby pins from her bag.. not to mention she bustled my dress to perfection. To top this review off, Katie even delivered left over food in to go boxes and wedding gifts to our hotel room the night of the wedding. My husband and I can’t stop talking about how amazing she is, and you will without a doubt feel the exact same way when you choose her as your wedding coordinator!

We loved katie!

We hired Katie for day/month of planning, and she went above and beyond to make me feel prepared and stress-free on our wedding day! I was a destination bride that lived 6 hours away and never even saw my venue in person until the week of the wedding, but Katie was there the whole time to meet with the venue and have everything planned out perfectly. Fantastic wedding planner

Katie was fantastic to work with from the moment we met her. She was super knowledgeable about so many vendors in so many price ranges. We purchased her month of package, and the whole month leading up to my wedding, I never felt immediately stressed. A quick text to Katie and it was handled.

She ran our day beautifully without any issues and kept us on our time schedule! The whole experience was absolutely perfect and stress free. She even sent someone to get more beer when we were running low!
If you love someone super structured, organized, knowledgeable and on top of things- use Katie! She made our wedding dreams possible!

Katie saved the day

I’m not sure there are the proper words to explain just how great Katie is. I can’t imagine how difficult it must be to tell a bride a few months away from the wedding you’ve been planning together for over a year that she needs to consider postponing… probably almost as difficult as it was to hear it. Like many brides this year I was ready to go into full panic mode when coming to the realization that COVID19 was about to rock my world. Luckily I had Katie by my side to help along every step of the way. Katie had my wedding completely rescheduled with ALL vendors signed on in 24 hours… that’s right 24 HOURS! I was completely heart broken to not have my original May wedding but felt extremely grateful to be able to have the wedding of my dreams just a few months later in July.

As we continued to prepare in the following months it became more and more apparent that this would not be the original wedding we had planned for. Every day felt like a new gut punch. My guest count dropped from 160 to 100 to 60 to 40. Throughout it all Katie was my rock. Our wedding day ended up being perfect. The day went off without a hitch or at least in my eyes it did because Katie is a pro. I can’t recommend Katie enough. If she can get this bride through a global pandemic, she can get you through anything.

Best decision, 100% the reason our day was perfect!

We met Katie randomly when on a tour at another venue than the one we chose. We asked her a few things and she was so welcoming and hospitable AND she wasn't pushy when we inquired about her services. We knew once we chose our venue (the Island House) we had to have her. We booked her as our very first vendor and she was so great. We chose the day/month of coordinating and she was WELL worth it. We saved so much time, energy, money, AND SANITY with her. She knows the Island House more than anyone on the planet and it made me comfortable should anything go wrong, she would know exactly what to do. She made great vendor referrals and is very well respected so I felt I got the best from all vendors. She ensured my design and setup would flow the best for the guests and it was perfect! If you are having your wedding at The Island House, hire her... if you are having your wedding anywhere in the Charleston area... still hire her. She is pure gold! We cannot thank her enough. Friends and family commented on how well the wedding went with zero issues! Our wedding was the last wedding before the world shut down in March 2020 and we were able to have the perfect day, exactly as we had hoped all because behind the scenes we know she did everything to make it perfect. Experienced, flexible, and laid back planner with great relationships with local vendors!

As a bride during a global pandemic, I don’t know what I would have done if I didn’t have Katie on my team! From the very beginning, she was so down to earth and truly listened to what I wanted as a bride. She has great relationships with local vendors in the Tri-county area and was INCREDIBLY flexible; even when I moved out of state as we started planning my wedding. After it was all said and done, not only did we have to postpone our wedding due to COVID-19, but we also had to cancel/change vendors within 3 months of our new date. Katie handled all the contracts and calls to the vendors and made the transition much easier. Despite the obstacles we faced, Katie was the reason we were able to pull off a beautiful wedding amidst the chaos of 2020! I highly recommend her to any bride who is looking for an experienced planner!

Calm, Fun, Friendly, Professional-Everything I needed during a pandemic!

After our initial phone call with Katie, my fiance and I knew that we wanted Katie to be our wedding coordinator! While I selected most of my vendors and planned the decor details, Katie offered many valuable vendor suggestions and ideas that I wouldn't have thought of. Because my wedding fell during a pandemic in June 2020, this forced me to lean more on Katie and her advice, based on her wealth of knowledge and expertise in the wedding planning industry, to deal with last-minute wedding changes due to public health safety measures and inclement weather. I was also 3 hours away from Charleston, so having her there gave me complete peace of mind. As stressful as the planning got during the pandemic, Katie was always calm and would allow me to vent and give me sound advice, just like a friend would. I didn't stress at all on my wedding day, I trusted Katie with coordinating and setting up everything that day and was able to relax and really enjoy the day and take in all the emotions. My fiance and I both don't know what we would have done without Katie, she made our wedding day dreams come true! :) I would highly recommend using Katie as a wedding coordinator and/or planner. Katie is SO good at her job

Katie helped us so much and made everything go so smoothly. Her timeline was perfect. We could not have coordinated everything and all the vendors without her. She made sure every vendor was on the same page and facilitated contacting them so we didn't have to. Katie and her team help set up some of our tables and provided some decorations that we didn't have. She was so easy going to work with, but worked so hard in the background to make sure everything we wanted was going to happen. Hire katie!

Katie is absolutely, positively, without-a-doubt THE person you want helping plan your wedding. Her fees can’t even begin to cover all of the work and heart she put into our 200+ person wedding in November, where her professionalism, patience, flexibility and sheer HUSTLE made our outdoor wedding a phenomenal success — despite the torrential downpour, whipping winds and uncharacteristically frigid temperature! (Literally, at one point she was out there with a shovel helping dig trenches…what more could you ask!?) She does a phenomenal job at everything leading up to the event — from managing various family members’ ‘opinions’ ;) to coordinating vendors to just generally being a sounding board through every step of the process. She also has great ties and contacts in the Charleston community, which will be invaluable whether you’re a lifetime resident or trying to manage from (as we were!) out of the country at various points. Katie, we can’t thank you enough, and we truly could not have done it without you. In sum, my now-husband puts it pretty succinctly: she turns a long-form marathon test into an easy multiple choice quiz. She’s your cheat sheet. Take it. :)

A tremendous resource, a courteous professional, a partner in the process and a smile all the way. Where do I even with Katie! She was the first and best wedding vendor I chose for my wedding! She worked with me for almost two years planning our perfect wedding day! She went above and beyond throughout the entire planning process meeting with me many times, attending vendor meetings, responding to numerous emails and phone calls, meeting with my parents, and so much more! She recommended almost all of our other wedding vendors, and we could not have been happier with them! She made sure we got the best vendors and quotes! My wedding day would not have been possible without her planning, advice, and support! She is personable, down to earth, and so easy to work with! We could not have imagined a more perfect wedding day! Everything was absolutely perfect and ran so smoothly all thanks to Katie and her team! She made my mom and I feel at such ease on the wedding day! I would highly recommend her to any bride in Charleston! She is the absolute BEST!

She is the best!

I cannot recommend Katie as a wedding planner enough. She made our wedding PERFECT and a DREAM even despite unpredicted rain!

From the moment I met her at The Island House, I felt super comfortable with her and she really got the time to know my (now) husband and I. Communication was fantastic and she answered all our questions from our meetings, to emails, phone and text. I cannot emphasize how amazing she is!

Katie made everything run so smoothly and was able to make our dream wedding come true by rearranging a few things with our cocktail hour time and we were able to have our ceremony outside. We COULD NOT HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT HER!

Our guests also raved about how awesome Katie was and have already asked me if she could do their weddings!

The Best Ever!

Katie was easily the best thing about our wedding. She tolerated my 1 billion emails with grace, answered all my dumb questions, put everything together so it looked AMAZING and the entire thing ran smoothly. Not only that, but she saved us more money than we were even paying her. We didn't have to worry about a thing because she and her incredible assistant Rebecca were there making sure everything was perfect and exactly how we envisioned it. I thought planning a wedding relatively long distance would be difficult, but she totally eased any concerns I had. She even coordinated having my dog in the wedding, feeding her, and bringing her back to my in-law's house on the other side of Charleston. All of the vendors she recommended were top notch and her timeline was detailed perfection. I left a box behind with the rest of my trash without realizing I needed it and she knew exactly which bag in which trash can it would be in the next day (seriously she is a magician!!). If you're considering, stop and hire her now! Basically I want to hang out with her all the time - she is the most amazing person ever.

Amazing Coordinator!

Katie was absolutely amazing from the get go. She was prompt in responses, thorough and detail oriented. She assisted with every detail to make sure our day was just as we visioned. On the day of, we didn’t have any worries. She took care of it all and told us when/where to go for a smooth schedule. She went above and beyond and we couldn’t be happier with her. Super organized and created the wedding of our dreams!

Where do I even begin with Katie - she was beyond amazing through the whole process and basically created the wedding of our dreams! She was quick in responding to emails, super organized with all the vendors, and her chill/relaxed demeanor made everything stress free. I'm not good with coordinating colors and designing. Katie took over and created the perfect color choices for our linens and decor. Through her and our day of coordinator, we were able to relax and let loose at our wedding. I would recommend her to everyone! She is AMAZING!

Phenomenal Wedding Planner for Island House Wedding

One of the best decisions my husband and I made when planning our wedding at the Island House was to hire Katie as our planner! I don't think there is room enough here for me to give justice to how much Katie did for us. From the first time we met her at our tour, it was like we were talking to a friend. She made us feel so comfortable all the time, especially when I texted her asking a million questions the week of our wedding! Both our families live out of town, so it was just my husband and I planning from Charleston. Katie was amazing in helping me narrow down my vision for our day, so much so that sometimes it felt like she knew what I was thinking before I said it myself! Her organization and communication skills are impeccable, and I knew without a doubt that our day would be in perfect hands with her.

The day of our wedding was the most stress-free, laid back, happiest day of our lives, and we owe a lot of that to Katie. She spent so much time making sure everything was perfect, from our luggage tag favors to the pictures wrapped around the tree. Her attention to detail really helped our wedding come to life and it was exactly how I pictured it.

I can't say enough good things about Katie and her team. I would have been so nervous about everything without her being there, and even our guests remarked upon how smooth everything flowed and how impressed they were with Katie. She is hands down one of the best decisions we made for our wedding, and I'm so grateful for her friendship!

Fabulous Island House Wedding.

Katie was the perfect fit for both our daughter and for us. With the groom’s family in the upstate, us in the midlands and our daughter newly in Charleston, Katie managed to coordinate with us and manage all the arrangements with calm professionalism and aplomb. Her insight regarding vendors saved us both time and money and she was always very conscious of the budget we had set. We couldn't be happier that we found her and unreservedly recommend her!

Katie and Cacky Dream Team

My husband and I were married this past October in Charleston. We both live in Atlanta, so I knew a destination wedding would be hard to plan without someone with feet on the street. I found Katie through online reviews and used her Month-of service. In looking back, those were the most valuable and worthwhile dollars that we spent on the wedding. Katie was attentive and helpful from the start and even though she was "month-of", we kept in constant communication throughout the entire ten month planning process. She would provide detailed responses to my novel emails that contained a zillion questions. She stopped by our venues a number of times to check on things and went above and beyond in ensuring that everything was running smoothly, constantly providing vendor recommendations and advice when asked. And then on our wedding day Katie and her co-planner, Cacky, knocked it out of the park. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day, and I know I have the two of them to thank for that. If anything went wrong that day, I never heard about it. Our guests and my groom and I only look back on that perfectly executed day with laughs and full hearts.

Hire Katie!

Hiring Katie as my "month of" planner was easily the best decision I made in the planning process. I am a corporate event planner so I was extra picky about who I would trust with my wedding. Katie is such a genuine, kind and organized person. She went above and beyond connecting me to vendors, joining us at meetings and even scoring us discounts! She was such a calming presence for me when I started to get a little stressed at the end. It rained on our wedding day and she coordinated the appropriate changes to the schedule so that I would not have to worry at all. Brides...hire Katie, you won't regret it!

If 10 starts was a choice I would give her 10. She was extremely responsive and took care of everything without 1 mess up.

Couldn’t have been better. Not even alittle better. She was perfect as the event was perfect because of her. She is the best and some other planners wanted to charge us double what she charged us. Why? Why pay that when she is the best? Choose katie please!!! You won’t be sorry!

Katie was great! I can not explain in this short review, how wonderful it was to have her. We hired Katie for the day of and she was perfect. You will love her! She is very calm and collected and makes you feel like you have everything under control. She seemed to know what I was thinking and how I wanted the day to go from the start. She kept me on schedule and made sure I had everything in order before the big day. We literally dropped all our ceremony items, decor items, photos, display items, candles, centerpieces in pieces, alcohol and wedding favors off in unorganized boxes and she put everything together perfectly!

Katie did way more than expected. She organized with the florist to drop off bouquets for the chapel and receptionist centerpieces and she set them up herself. We had our cupcakes dropped off and Katie set them up in a beautiful display. It was very stress free for everyone involved which is how your wedding day is supposed to be. I was able to spend the entire day getting ready with family and friends and know that the ceremony and the reception would be wonderful! And most importantly, we were able to spend time celebrating with our loved ones without a worry. I cannot thank Katie Jean Events enough and highly recommend her!

Photo explanations: She controlled my 4 nieces and nephews and organized for them to put their hands in the pockets, which everyone loved! She helped my bridesmaids bustle my dress when no one had a clue! She set up everything !!

Having Katie as our day-of/month-out coordinator was hands down the best decision we made during the whole wedding planning process. I truly can't say enough good things about her. She is SO on top of things, so detail oriented, quick to respond, so organized, cool/calm/collected, and just a kind and friendly person that you want to be around. Katie was of so much help with vendors, the ceremony outline, the layout, the timeline, ideas for decorating, and SO MANY details that we would never think of.

Day of the wedding things ran so smoothly. We unfortunately did get rain the day of the wedding and therefore had to make some changes. Katie helped us to make an informed decision about moving the ceremony inside the tent. She and her team did this SO quickly and worked with the rest of the vendors to ensure it was done right and well. When I walked down the aisle it looked BEAUTIFUL and so many guests did not even know we had to move it. The rest of the evening went SO smoothly and that was completely due to her. A lot of guests have told us that we had one of the most organized weddings and that is such a compliment but a direct reflection on her work.

Without sounding so cheesy, we truly had the perfect day. I know for a fact we would not have been able to say this had we not had her planning, expertise, and organization. I cannot recommend Katie enough. You will not find another coordinator at her pricing with her level of quality.

Katie seriously made the wedding planning process easy and fun! There are so many little things that I would have never thought of and Katie already had them handled. Katie did an excellent job assisting, planning and executing our wedding not only the day of but also before and after our big day! Katie is an unbelievable person and wedding planner. I could not have imagined a better or more perfect person to keep me together during the planning period. She was always calm and knew exactly who to contact about everything. She researched who would be the best bang for our buck, including finding us a bar that we would have a full bar for the same price as beer and wine at another. She kept up with all our vendors and always updated everyone. She really went above and beyond on EVERYTHING!
She totally held it together as I freaked about the rain and stayed extremely calm contacting all vendors so I would not have any more stress on my plate the week of the wedding.
The day of the wedding, she was an absolute dream. She arrived way before we got there to get ready. When I arrived she was already setting up. She was involved in everything insuring the most perfect day. Katie made sure to think of everything including tape for our guest book that I forgot. Our day was amazing thanks to Katie! If I had to do it all over again, Katie would be my number one girl!
There is no way we could ever repay her for all she did for us!

Wow…where to begin with Katie. She is AMAZING, and both my husband and I truly believe our wedding wouldn’t have been such a memorable experience if it weren’t for her. Katie is ON IT. No detail is too small for her, and it’s this quality that makes her so awesome…well, one of the reasons why she’s awesome :). Even brides who think they’ve planned it all will find on their wedding day that they haven’t. Katie was there to swoop in and make sure everything was seamless. Without Katie our wedding would not have been the same. She made sure everything went smoothly as scheduled so we did not have to think about anything the day of the wedding. She arranged the decor and cake exactly as we envisioned and even gave us a few suggestions along the way that really made a difference. Everything was perfect! Katie Jean was a tremendous help with everything to do with the wedding. She made additions to the wedding cake table, adding candles, and redid the wedding cake decorations by adding the topper which we added at the last minute, having to redo the flowers in a different way to make it work. There are no words to describe how amazing Katie was for my wedding day!! From the minute I booked her until the very end, she was there to help with anything and everything. She helped out with all of my vendors, gave me amazing suggestions along the way and ensured everything went smoothly. Katie is an incredible wedding planner who was always immediately responsive and maintained constant contact with our venue, band, vendors, and surely plenty others that I never even knew about. In the months leading up to the wedding, Katie often had problems solved before we even called to ask about them, and no issue was too big or too small to get her full attention. On wedding day, she was behind the scene on virtually every part of the ceremony and reception, ensured we both had time to eat and drink, and tended to every request quickly and without question. Katie is awesome and we would recommend her to anybody.

I cannot say enough positive things about Katie Jean! Katie Jean is a talented, creative and truly professional wedding planner. Creatively, she understood what we were going and helped guide us towards ideas that we loved, but would have never, ever thought of on our own. She has such a deep knowledge of the vendors and their work in the area, that brought tons of ideas to the table. In terms of logistics, she was responsive, professional and incredibly organized. She graciously kept all of us on track throughout the process and not one detail was dropped. As unexpected problems came up, she would calmly solve them before I had even heard about them. I got to truly enjoy my engagement and wedding because Katie had everything under control, and she had a fun, patient attitude throughout. Do yourself (and your future spouse) favor and hire her!

If you are going to invest in anything for your wedding, it should be on your coordinator. We could not have done this wedding wothought Katie. She made everything so easy and seamless. She gave us recommendations for every vendor (which they all turned out to be amazing) and made sure we were on track throughout the whole process. My daughter got married on July 2, 2017. We used Katie Jean Events as a day planner. Katie was not just a day planner she was our planner for 10 months. She was always reading and willing to help no matter what she was doing. On my daughters wedding day I felt calm and no stress. I knew that Katie had everything under control. She watched over everyone making sure everything was perfect including the caterer. She made sure tables were set up appropriately and in the correct way around the dance floor as my daughter asked. She was always there. I have another daughter getting married in March of 2018. I can't even imagine doing a wedding without her. She is more than an event or day planner she is a wonderful, kind and caring person. If you are looking for the BEST Katie is the one.

Katie is the best!!! We had a huge wedding party and both of us have massive families and Katie handled them with ease. She created a detailed oriented schedule for the weekend and made sure everyone was where they needed to be on time. She was in contact with the vendors to make sure they were all on the same page. Hiring Katie to do full planning for my daughter, Taylor's, March 2017 was the single best decision we made! She has great attention to detail and is an absolute pleasure to work with. She was very mindful of our budget and in many cases was able to negotiate with vendors to get a better price than I believe we could have gotten on our own. On the wedding day we were able to be relaxed and thoroughly enjoy all that was special about the day, knowing that Katie was attending to all of the details! Katie from Katie Jean Events made our wedding happen! Coming from Michigan to have a wedding in Charleston was difficult to coordinate, but with Katie as a wedding planner she made it easy. We didn't know who to contact regarding an officiant, hair, catering or rentals and through Katie's contacts, she set everything up for us. She went out of her way to make the bride and groom's families feel comfortable leading up to the ceremony and through out the reception. As the bride, I can personally say she made me feel relaxed and calm so I could just have a good time :) Not only was she a great planner for our wedding, but she is also incredibly kind, sincere, and an all around great person. I would absolutely recommend her as a planner for any event!

I was planning a small wedding (about 90 adult guests) and I was dragging my heels about hiring a planner. After strong encouragement from some friends I reached out to Katie and it was the best wedding planning decision I made! After just one phone call with Katie I felt instant relief as I realized everything she was willing to help with. She was professional and didn't judge me or try to push me to make decisions I didn't want or need. I've never met someone that is so laid back, calm and easy to be around while at the same time so organized, professional and on top of emails/correspondence. Our wedding day was 100% stress free thanks to her. I really got to sit back and enjoy the day with friends and family while she took care of all the details. Katie is simply amazing! I met Katie with my mom and mother-in-law and we all instantly felt a connection with her. She listened to what we had envisioned for the wedding and went above and beyond our expectations! We contracted with Katie for month of wedding coordination. She was methodical as she organized our wedding timeline and communicated with our vendor's a couple months out from our wedding to make sure everything was taken care of in a timely fashion. I cannot thank her enough for doing a flawless job on the day of the wedding as well! Everything went off without a hitch! If anything went amiss that day, I never knew about it! Katie provided absolutely phenomenal service in helping my wife and I plan, organize, and finally enjoy our wedding. Once we contacted her she completely took the initiative in coordinating all of the wedding logistics to include creating the itineraries for the ceremony and reception, pick out decorations & food, helping with the table layouts, and reaching out to all of our vendors to make sure we were all on the same page. I cannot stress enough what enormous peace of mind it gave us knowing she had everything organized and under control. We had scheduled phone calls with her (since we were out of town) and also random text conversations to address unforeseen problems - she was always incredibly responsive! Katie was also great because she gave awesome advice when we needed it, but allowed us to have the wedding we wanted. She was incredibly laid back and that helped us a lot.

I cannot recommend her high enough; to put it simply, she rocked and made our wedding amazing. Thanks, Katie!

We loved working with Katie. Not only was she affordable, but she was so very helpful. There were multiple times through out our wedding planning where Katies experience, knowledge, and kind heart saved the day. Katie and I spoke via email or sitting down for coffee several times through out my six months working with her and then even more the month of our wedding. I laughed as a couple times she would call or email asking a question or even just to keep me updated on something she was working on for our wedding and I would think "I'm glad she is on top of that, because I have no idea what to do!" Katie, took over my vendors a few months before my wedding. I'd already made most of my choices when I contacted her but was really looking for someone to take the stress of the month before the wedding and to be completely in charge for the rehearsal and the day of. Katie was AMAZING!!! For the last few vendors that I hadn't made decisions on she gave me some great recommendations. She was both professional, involved, but not intrusive. She knew exactly how to get things done without being bossy or actually without people even knowing. She was like the magic wedding fairy! I could not have asked for a better planner/coordinator. Everyone at the wedding, raved about how on it she was including my mother! They were all impressed with how seamlessly things transitioned (we got married on the same site as our reception) and how relaxed it all was. Katie was absolutely amazing!! She took all of the ideas I had in my head and put them together in the most beautiful way! She was very accommodating to our schedule and even met us at the venue early to go through the trailer (yes, we brought a trailer!) full of items we had brought to decorate the venue. She coordinated all of the vendors, created a timeline and was quick to give me suggestions that would help our wedding day run smoothly. Katie was amazing! I'm based in Cincinnati so much of our discussions were via e-mail, she took my vision and brought each element to life. Day of rehearsal we brought all the little extras that we had, runners, signage, cake topper/ servers, photos, etc and she had everything arranged perfectly on my wedding day. Katie is amazing!! A few months before my wedding we had already decided on some of the vendors but still had a lot to do. This was especially difficult doing it out of town, and knew I needed someone to coordinate the actual day. I was referred to Katie and gave her a call. She gave me a checklist and great suggestions for decisions we still needed to make. A month before the wedding, she contacted all of the contracts/vendors and took it from there. Katie kept me updated with emails each week leading up to the wedding. I appreciated Katie's personality and work ethic. She never once seemed stressed which made me calm! Katie provided the help we needed for my daughter's rehearsal and wedding ceremony. In fact, she provided the help we didn't know we needed. There are always so many small things happening during a wedding and most of us tend to think we can easily send people down the aisle. However, as I discovered, with Katie's help, there are many details that need to be tended to in order for the ceremony to run smoothly. Katie handled everything; timing , music, placement of wedding party, entrance and exit of wedding party, training of ushers(, she even had to remake some of the corsages so that there would be enough flowers for all ushers,) as well as collecting things that needed to be out of the chapel quickly. My ability to enjoy the ceremony was directly related to her presence and hard work. She is calm, quiet, and effective... Loved it!!!

As an older bride-to-be, and mother of a recently married 28-year-old daughter, I was not prepared AT ALL to go through "all that" again! The wedding date was based on the availability of The Summerall Chapel at The Citadel. Our guest list mushroomed into "event" status. There were many moving parts and not much time!
As a business owner who works with MANY event and meeting planners, I knew what was ahead. Katie had just relocated to Charleston after several years traveling the country and building her portfolio of experience. Phil and I had seen her in action while at The Biltmore, Asheville, NC years ago.
In December 2014, I called Katie and asked if she would consider "taking this on". SHE ONLY HAD THREE MONTHS UNTIL THE WEDDING DAY in one of the most sought destinations for a wedding! We live up in NC but wanted to have our wedding the Charleston area for obvious reasons (and my husband's parents live there). We wanted to do a lot of the work ourselves (i.e. find vendors, organize flowers) but being several hours away made that a bit tricky. Katie was incredibly responsive to all our phone calls and emails and was very flexible with what we needed/requested (and was our proxy in Charleston, even going to see our band play another event to make sure they were good). Although we were a little stressed due to some late flower arrivals, she was extremely helpful both the day before and the day of the wedding. We never had to worry once on our wedding day and were even more impressed when we woke up the next morning to find everything neatly boxed back up for us to take with us. Choosing Katie was the best decision we could've made!
