  Katie is amazing. I've always admired her work that I just had to have her make me over. She is very prompt and responsive to all my questions and concerns. I've gone through multiple MUA and so far Katie has been the most professional and very considerate of my opinions. I would use Katie again for any big events. :) She made me feel so beautiful that I didn't want to wash the make up off my face! I definitely recommended her to my friends and family.

  I found Katie B during Myspace days and I told myself that when I got married, she would be the one to do my makeup. The work that I saw on her previous brides were phenomenal. I booked her before we booked our venue! Before the big day, Katie requested that I send her photos of makeup looks and hair styles that I liked. She even called me a few days before to go over it. When she and Shaun arrived at the hotel, they were on time and proceeded to set up right away. She is so professional and is a true artist. If a single hair was out of place, she would fix it and she made sure that I was happy with my over all look. My makeup lasted ALL DAY. And after the wedding, because I had too much fun, I ended up sleeping in it (don't ever do that) and it still looked great the morning after! Katie is also very personable and for an artist who is so sought after, has her own makeup line, is a realtor, a lawyer, a businesswoman, a wife, and a mother of two, it's a quality that not many have. I would recommend her without reservations and you will not have any regrets booking her.

  I booked Katie B to do my makeup for my wedding and it was probably one of the best decisions I have made. When I first inquired about making an appointment, she was quick in responding and lucky for me, she was available. She had asked me to send pictures of myself and the types of look I was interested in for the wedding. That was quite thoughtful of her on wanting to keep you looking natural yet adding her personal artistic touches.
  
  Katie and her hubby Shaun were quite a delight to have on my wedding day. They arrived earlier then expected and started setting up right away. She was very professional and at the same time very pleasant to have around. She was quite chatty and made me feel at ease while she did my hair and makeup. She would ask what I like, gave her inputs and did her thing.
  
  She was quite a perfectionist, taking her time working on my eyes. She did an excellent job making my eyes look even, considering I only have a double eyelid on one side of my eyes. When she was done, you would have never known one of my eyes were bigger then the other.
  
  After she was done with my hair and makeup, she was so sweet to stick around to help me when I was attempting to put my wedding dress on and taking pictures. Thank god she was so considerate and attentive. My sister was trying to tighten my wedding dress to a point that I probably would have fainted half way into my wedding day. Luckily Katie was there to kindly suggest my sister let go of the strings. =)
  
  My makeup lasted all through the day and night. Even after my drunken night, I still woke up to a perfect face without even needing a touch up. The quality of her makeup is impeccable.
  
  Thank you Katie and Shaun for helping me feel extra special during my wedding day. If I ever need to get my makeup done professionally again, hands down you would be my first and only choice!!!

Katie really cares about the quality of her work and does not rush to finish. She even re-did some makeup she was unhappy with!   Leading up to the wedding I couldn't wait to show people Katie's work online and everyone was equally impressed but even more so on the day of my wedding where Katie made me look like a bombshell!
  
  Katie B and her husband Shaun are the most awesome people to work with. They arrived promptly on time for my hair and make up session for my wedding and were so friendly and a great team.

  Katie B is amazing! She was hired as my makeup artist who worked on my sister, my Mom, and me. My Mom had other MUA in the past who always make her look like an evil drag queen. Once Katie B worked on her, my sister and I were amaze at her ability to soften up her looks with little makeup. My Mom who is a perfectionist didn't really say much about it at that time. However, the day after the wedding she came up to me and said she really like the makeup artist I've hired. She said "You must of paid a lot for her because she is really good at what she does." It was shocking to hear her compliments. I'm so happy that she liked it. As for my sister, she was so excited that Katie will be working on her makeup and hair as well. I guess she had heard about her before me. She turned out great! I wanted all my bridesmaids to look like the 1940s-1950s classy glam looks with a bit of rockabilly spunk. What I like most about her was that she wasn't so pushy about making me look like what she wanted me to be. It's like going to a hair salon and telling the barber you want your hair a certain way and coming out looking something different. She take her time and asked for my approval with each step of the way. She used her own makeup line which doesn't feel so cakey on. Other makeup products leaves me looking dry and crusty. I looked older and worn out with those other products. That was my biggest concern. However, with her product that wasn't the case. On my wedding day the weather was humid and rainy. People were amaze that I still looked flawless when taking pictures in the rain. My makeup lasted for a good 12hrs without any retouch to it. Some may think she's on the pricey side, but the way I see it is that the wedding day is one of the most memorable time of anyone life. You'll want to look back on that day to see how beautiful you look and feel. To me that is priceless. I would recommend Katie B to any future Brides.

  I had previously done a makeup trial with another artist that did an okay job, but I just left not feeling myself and filled with a weird anxiety. After more research scouring OC and LA artists, I came across Katie. After reading all her glowing reviews and analyzing each and every picture posted online, I knew in my heart she was the one. It was as if the stars aligned, because after a couple emails back and forth between myself and her team (and I do have to add the team member was very prompt and friendly), my wedding date opened up and I was able to secure Katie’s services. Like a lot of other reviewers mention, Katie had me send pictures of myself. To go beyond that though, she even called me before my wedding to discuss ideas and the vision I had for myself on my wedding day. On the actual day, she arrived right on time, and we spent some more time discussing my dress and all the other little details of likes and dislikes. It was really a full consultation because she even took a look at my makeup bag to see what I normally use on my face on a day to day to make sure the products she was going to use was in line with and complemented what I normally use.
  
  In terms of my makeup, everything was impeccable. My eyeshadow was blended beautifully with the perfect touch of drama. My cheeks and face had that blushing bride look that every girl wants. I cried, sweated like a pig on the dance floor, and gave tons of hugs and kisses and still looked fresh at the end of the night. I set the bar really high for Katie because I didn’t have a trial and told her I knew I would love everything, which made her nervous. She truly did exceed my expectations.
  
  Honestly ladies – weddings are stressful enough. Do yourselves a favor… book Katie, and check one more thing off your list. Your face will thank you! ;)

  Katie's talent and professionalism exceeded my expectations on my big day. Before my hair and makeup appointment, Katie contacted me to ask of my expectations, provided her expert opinion, and from our chat, knew exactly what I envisioned in my head on the type of look I was aiming for.
  
  The day of my appointment, Katie was on time for our early 7am appointment (sorry so early Katie! :) ) and once my hair and makeup were done, I felt beautiful AND comfortable with how I looked. Since I don't wear alot of makeup on a daily basis, I was worried about looking too made up, but Katie, being the professional she is, worked her magic and made me look and feel like a celebrity version of myself and without looking like I had layers of makeup on!
  
  Katie took the time to make me feel like more than a client and instead, more like a friend. I will continue to recommend Katie for hair and makeup for every special occasion. THANK YOU KATIE FOR MAKING ME FEEL EVEN MORE BEAUTIFUL ON MY SPECIAL DAY! Love that I also have a friend for life!

  I was bummed that I was unable to book Katie for my wedding day hair and makeup because she was already booked that morning, but she offered to touch me up before my reception. That was the best decision I ever made. Three words that I can describe Katie with are: punctual, professional, and perfectionist. She arrived earlier than expected to set up and get ready before having me on the chair. With previous experience, I'm usually sitting around waiting anxiously for the artist to arrive. Katie was very professional from the time I inquired services until the very day. She responded to all my questions and emails in a timely and courteous manner. When Katie arrived to "touch me up", I was just expecting her to pile on more makeup on my face and freshen me up since I have very oily skin. That was not the case. She did not want my makeup to look "caked" on so she basically took the time to take what she needed off and re-applied everything, giving me more of a "night look". The products she used on me lasted all night until the next morning even through all the sweat and tears! Katie even asked me if I wanted to do something a little different to my hair. She took out all my bobby pins and re-curled my hair giving me a completely different look. I absolutely loved it, and what a difference it made in all the pictures. I've been a fan of Katie B.'s work for over 10 years after I first found her on MySpace (yes, that long ago..haha), and I was blown away by her flawless results and transformations. I told myself that if/when I got married, I would definitely book her as my MUA, and I kid you not she was the first person I contacted once my fiance and I locked down our venue.
  
  From my first few e-mails with her to the day of the wedding, she was very responsive and professional. She requested the looks and styles I was looking for in advance, and made me feel beautiful even without meeting me in person. She sounded very confident in the look that I wanted to achieve, which gave me a lot of reassurance since I didn't book a trial with her before the wedding.
  
  The morning of my big day, she arrived with her big smile and big make-up boxes and I couldn't have been more excited! Katie and her husband made me feel so at ease and asked questions about my "wants" and made suggestions along the way. She truly is an artist and your face is her canvas. I've used other MUAs for various events but I've never felt more beautiful and confident than on my wedding day. She has a way of bringing out the glow that every bride wants! I even asked about air-brushing, but let me tell you...you don't need it when Katie works on your face. My make-up was smooth and flawless, and did not budge throughout the entire day. Even after 10 hours of many happy tears and sweating, my face and hair looked immaculate! I didn't even want to wash my face after the wedding b/c I was so sad to erase her work. haha

  I was first introduced to Katie B as a maid of honor in another wedding. I told her the horror story I had for my engagement shoot with someone putting way too much makeup on me, she assured me that she could still make me look beautiful without caking on the makeup for my friend's wedding... and that she did. She made my makeup look natural yet brought out my features that made me look and feel beautiful throughout the whole day, so much so, that I decided to book her for my wedding months later.
  
  Now, when I put 5 stars for flexibility I mean it. She had another wedding on that day, but graciously squeezed me in that day before her next wedding. Not only that, she provided makeup artists to help do my makeup for my 9 person bridal party and moms. She arrived at my hotel in San Juan Capistrano at 5am did my hair and makeup, as well as my mom's and then drove to her next wedding. (She's amazing) The way she did my hair and makeup was everything I could have asked for and more, not only that but it stayed the WHOLE day. She finished with my hair and makeup at 8am, and my hair and makeup still looked amazing at 10pm for my final pictures. I didn't touch up once the entire day. I'd also like to point out that the time before your wedding can be nerve racking with everything going on, but she eases you into conversations, not necessarily about your wedding that completely puts you at ease before your big day.
  
  I want to add that the makeup she used for me was from her own line of makeup, and I love it! The majority of the makeup products I use are from her line. For someone who isn't that into makeup, her makeup makes it so you look flawless, even if you don't know all the tips and techniques. That's saying something.
  
  All in all, i would HIGHLY recommend using her for services, and also use her makeup line. She knows what she is doing and worth every penny!

  Using Katie B to do my hair and makeup for my wedding was one of the best wedding decisions I made. Prior to going with Katie B, I had two hair and makeup trials with other hair stylists and makeup artists but wasn't satisfied with some aspect of it--either the makeup was too heavy & outdated-looking or the hair wasn't as glamorous as I imagined. I'm so happy I went with Katie B who although is pricier than others is seriously the best in the industry! With Katie B, I didn't even need a trial because I could tell by looking at the pictures of her work, she is a true artist who knows how to enhance a bride's beauty to perfection! One thing that sets Katie B apart is that she is thoughtful and plans ahead. After booking her, she asked me to send the looks I wanted in advance so she could plan my hair/makeup look before the big day. Not only that, she used a mixture of her makeup products and mine to give me a glamorous look that also made me feel comfortable. Katie B was on time and managed the time perfectly to complete my look as well as those of my two bridesmaids. I would rant and rave about her work to all my friends & pretty much anybody that would listen. I always said that if i ever got married, my dream make up artist would be Katie B! Fast forward however many years, I got engaged and the first thing I booked was my venue, second thing was to look up Katie's contact info to see if she was available for my wedding date! From our very first email interaction she was very professional, quick to respond, and always available to answer all my questions. Once everything was finalized and I booked her for hair and make up, she even took the time to call me to let me know that I could call her if I needed any help or had any questions about the wedding planning process.. customer service doesn't get any better than that! As for her work on the day of my wedding, nothing short of amazing! Katie had called me a few days prior to the wedding to go over what look I wanted, but I don't really wear much make up so I wasn't much help, but once she got me in her chair she was able to work her magic without much guidance from me. As i said, I dont wear much make up nor do i know how to do my own (just the basics), so for big events I always have to go get my make up done.. and I must say, Katie is THEEE BEST make up artist that has ever worked on my face! She was able to make me look flawless and dolled up without looking like I had a gallon of make up on my face.. in other words, she gave me the "Katie B touch". She did my make up at 8am and my night ended at 12am and ppl were still complimenting me on my make-up at the end of the night. And to top it off, she even texted me the next day to see if my hair and make up was able to withstand my hectic day.   Katie's work is amazing. When I got engaged I knew I just had to get her to do my hair and makeup for our big day. I would show my husband and tell him I need to get her for the wedding he would say wow " yes, you should get her, her work is great !!! "
  
  She is really punctual, she got to the hotel right on time with her lovely husband :) they are both super sweet persons with great attitudes and hearts. Both helped me keep calm.
  
  I wasn't sure really what I wanted I just knew it had to be WOW. I explained what I wanted and she went beyond my expectations. I felt like a QUEEN on my wedding day. I had a lot of compliments. My pictures came out amazing thanks to her. She gave me a new look and made me feel really WOW ( beautiful). She gave me more confidence throughout the entire night.
  
  Everyone kept on looking at me and wouldn't stop admiring her work. I'm really blessed to have worked with just an amazing person. She really has talent. The make-up and hair lasted the entire day which I loved :)

  After receiving her price list, I continued to search for another three months prior to making my final decision as I could never found a makeup artist that could measure up to Katie's work.
  Katie is a very bubbly, down to earth and lovely lady. She does however, have a very serious "in the zone" face when she is beautifying you. She will not even let the smallest flyaway hair go if her eagle eye catches it in sight. She takes such pride in what she does.
  When it came to the makeup, she used her own mineral makeup line. She is the master of makeup "plastic surgery." I have a very flat and round Asian face. I have always wanted the illusion of a smaller face, taller nose (bridge), and bigger eyes.
  The end results were absolutely amazing. I could not believe my eyes. She even popped in my color contacts for me to enhance the look (yup, while in a standing position).
  As expected, I cried to no end before, during and after the ceremony. However, her preservation techniques ensured my makeup stayed on through all the salty tears and sweat with minimal defects. While all my bridesmaids faces melted off with sweat, mine was still looking fresh without any touch ups or trips to the bathroom. (Only lip color was used for touch up).
  I am so glad I booked with Katie for my wedding day. Even though it is quite an investment, it is surely worth the money. Katie's work speaks for itself. I felt like a million bucks on my big day & that is how all brides should feel. I will love you forever for giving me my desired "cosmetic surgery enhancements" without going through the pain and burning a hole in my wallet. Thank you so, so much Katie!

  I wish I could relive my wedding day over and over again, one reason would also be that I spent the morning being glammed up by the amazing Katie B. I would say I am super picky just like every bride and I could not be any happier with the way looked, I felt gorgeous as a bride and this feeling is priceless! I wanted my make up to look super light and natural yet elegant and glamorous and my hair to look effortless. Katie did exactly that and so much more.

  When booking a MUA please look at their before and after pictures, it gives you the best idea of what that person can do for you. Katie has an eye for beauty and will bring out the best in you so that you look and feel like a million dollars. That is priceless on your wedding day! I was very worried when it came to hair and makeup because I have a larger nose, and I wanted to have my hair to the side for my wedding. Needless to say, I was worried that if done wrong, this could be a potentially very unflattering look for me. Katie made it work because she does her homework BEFORE your appointment.
  
  I had a different MUA for my engagement pictures, and my experience was that before they meet with you they ask you to send inspiration pictures of how you would like your hair and makeup to look like. This is a good approach, but I feel like it's not personalized enough. Katie went the extra mile and asked me to send her a picture of myself with my usual makeup on on top of the usual inspiration pictures. I LOVED that she did that because it made me feel like she was truly preparing and taking me as a client seriously. She made the look work for ME, since what looks good on one person doesn't necessarily look good on everyone else.
  
  On the day of, she arrived on time and made me feel at ease. She is very down to earth and easy to talk to. It almost felt like getting ready with a friend, which is very comforting on a high stress day such as your wedding. She uses her own makeup line, Katie B Cosmetics, which is now my favorite. It makes your skin look flawless and doesn't have that cake-y feeling to it. I had my makeup done at 10 AM, and after crying tears of joy multiple times throughout the day, dancing nonstop for hours, and even through an after party my makeup still looked flawless at 3 AM when we finally made it home. My hair also held up the style the entire time, and it even looked good the next day when I woke up lol Worth every penny!!

No attitude-beyond friendly & personable, professional, PUNCTUAL (#1 quality you need on the day of your wedding!) and her work is impeccable.....would like to put her in my pocket so I can have her at my beckon call 24/7!

  I've seen Katie B's work through my friends and my cousin and knew that she was one of the best make-up artist/stylist out there. I've known 4 different girls who have used her services so it was enough for me. As soon as I got my wedding date on the calendar I booked Katie B. I have had many bad experiences with make-up artists and can be very picky with my hair and make-up. I am 32 but can look very young so I had to be picky with the way I was styled for my wedding.
  Katie was very professional and responded right away with any questions that I had. I was very surprised because I follow her on Instagram and Facebook and know how busy she is. That gave me a lot of comfort through the whole process. She was punctual and very personable on the day of my wedding. You spend hours in the seat getting ready so it's nice to be able to bond with your stylist. I can't explain what it was but I was very calm and peaceful on my wedding day. I believe it was because I LOVED the way I looked. It's so important to feel good and confident on your wedding day and she made me feel so beautiful. I have never felt so beautiful as I did on my wedding day.
  She really has an eye for this. She knew how to bring out my eyes and accentuate my cheeks to flatter my face. It looked natural but sexy.
  I would highly recommend her to a bride that wants to look sexy and beautiful. Her work speaks for itself, just Google her photos.

  If you're wondering if this is going to be another amazing review about Katie B, then yes you're right. Even before I got engaged, I knew I'd want Katie B to be the one to help me with my hair and makeup on my wedding day. With today's struggles in planning a great wedding on a budget, there are tons to think about, tons to cut out, but i can guarantee you that Katie's help is not one to cut out. Not only is she talented, she is down to earth and listens to what you want for your special day. On the morning of the wedding, she arrived early with her team and kept me calm throughout the whole morning. As my mom said, "she fits right in with the family". My makeup was just the way I imagined along with my hair. The makeup and hair lasted all night. I had made a fuss over a year about how great she is, and that night, everyone understood what the fuss was about. Thank you Katie B for being a part of the start of my happily ever after! xoxoxo

  My review for Katie B is way long overdue since today is my 1 year wedding anniversary but, I remember clearly the amazingness of the hair and makeup work Katie B and her husband did on me. As soon as I got engaged, my mission was to book Katie. My wedding date was determined by her availability, that was how much I wanted her! I had seen her in action when she did hair and makeup for my friend on her wedding day. At that moment, I knew I wanted to have Katie B for my wedding even though I wasn't even engaged at that time. Being an artist/designer myself, I am very particular about my makeup. After seeing Katie's work I had full confidence because her work is pure artistry. She is fantastic with eyebrows and contouring. I love the way she does eye makeup, it is absolutely flawless. They are like the images you would pin on Pinterest. Her work does not only translate well in photography, but it is impeccable in person. Her before and afters are not photoshopped in any way, it is really truly that amazing. I got so many compliments from family and friends.
  
  Katie and her husband are true professionals. Following up to the wedding, Katie was always quick to respond to emails and the correspondence was always very good. They were very punctual on the wedding day. As soon as they showed up, I felt at ease. As professional as they are, I felt like Katie wasn't just another vendor.
