Kathryn has been a friend of mine for 20 years, so I've been following her growing business and incredible adventures around the globe for a long time. When I got engaged, I knew exactly who I wanted to do our engagement and wedding photos! Not only is she fantastic to work with, she loves opportunities for creativity and "outside the box" moments. I loved the idea of playing with light at night, so she found a color-changing light device to create incredible backgrounds for our night photos! I also loved that we hardly knew she and her second were there during the ceremony. She's sneaky and still gets the most beautiful photos!
I cannot recommend my beautiful friend enough, especially if you're looking for someone LGBTQ+ friendly! -

We are so happy with how our wedding photos came out. Kathryn was wonderful to work with. She is professional and organized, and takes amazing photos. We spoke multiple times before our wedding day so that she could capture exactly what we wanted. We developed a timeline of when we'd take different photos throughout the day, and she was able to adjust accordingly. Originally we planned to take sunset photos around 8 PM. However, my husband and I were having so much fun on the dance floor that we forgot entirely. Kathryn reminded us, but she recommended that we stay on the dance floor and enjoy our time with the band and our guests. I'm so happy she encouraged us to keep having fun, and to not leave the party for a few photos. She captured our favorite moments and I'm so happy we choose her as our photographer. We wholeheartedly recommend her to any couple looking for a photographer who genuinely cares and delivers stunning work. -

We worked with Kathryn for our October 2024 Hindu/Jewish blended wedding and were so happy with our decision!! We spoke with MANY photographers during the planning process trying to decide who fit our style and personality leading up to our wedding. Neither of us feel super comfortable in front of the camera so it was important to us that we found someone who truly fit us and what we were looking for. Kathryn's warmth, adventurous spirit, and genuine curiosity about us as a couple really stood out, and we immediately knew she was who we wanted to work with.
We had a large wedding with many Hindu/Jewish traditions making the day busy & hectic, but Kathryn's professionalism and calm attitude made us feel at ease. We really appreciated how on top of it she was, sticking to our timeline and facilitating our rather large (and rowdy!) group, all while making the staged photos seamless and the candids from the reception/baraat so special and a true representation our special day. The colors are just magnificent, and we had many guests compliment her work, fun nature, and professionalism throughout the night.

I rarely write reviews, but Kathryn's work...and just her amazing, fun, and funny (in a GOOD way) personality made our wedding day 1 million times better. I had to write this review and simply rave about her!!
We had a small wedding outdoors in the Redwoods, and from the get-go, Kathryn was eager to help us plan, execute, and kind of be the voice of reason/knowledge/exerience all in one. We didn't know exactly what we wanted, just an idea of how we wanted to feel on our wedding weekend (no stress, in a beautiful spot.) She chose an AMAZING location I didn't even know was near us (we're in Northern California), without all the crowds. We had a beautiful ceremony, but what was amazing was that she caught these moments...like my dad's expression, and even a tear...that I didn't know were happening. So in a way, we got to relive the photos she took and also these moments I had no idea were happening.
We chose Kathryn for her ability to capture amazing shots in beautiful places, but got so much more. Every time I look through the photos, they tell the story of what I was feeling, but also what I didn't get the chance to see, if that makes sense. A true artist, in my opinion!
Plus we got to go around to all these fun spots after, and she acted like our tour guide, pointing out interesting plants, facts about the town we went through and the forest, and just making us feel so comfortable and welcomed the whole time.

We cannot recommend Kathryn enough!
First (and most obvious) (and also most important) point is that the photos she took were incredible. She captured our night beautifully. More than that though, she captured how the night felt. The photos weren't overly posy, but rather showed off how much fun and excitement there was for the entire night.
I think one of the best things I can say about Kathryn is that she really made a point of figuring out HOW we wanted her to photograph the wedding and delivered. As I wrote above, we wanted the photographs to look great, but mostly just capture how the wedding felt and she delivered on that 100%.
Also, as much as she made sure we were leading all the decision making, she really knew her stuff and took things off of our plate where we could. We knew how we wanted the photos to look generally, but neither of us are photographers. So we talked to her about style and vibe and she really took it from there. She was an absolute professional, a great person to work with, and kind and caring.
We felt like we were in great hands every step of the way. Truly cannot recommend her enough. -

Simply put, Kathryn was amazing. The pictures came out beyond magical. Prior to our wedding, she was so communicative and made sure to answer any questions we had. She took the time to understand expectations and made sure we were on the same page. She is on top of details and played a big role in making sure our day ran smoothly!
Part of our memories of our day was simply how fun it was to work with her and Antoine. Both of them are just soo personable that we were sad our day ended because it means we won’t see them again.
We could not be more pleased with the results. Kathryn delivered a huge collection of stunning photos. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Kathryn to all couples looking for a photographer.

Book her!!! I have so many good things to say about booking Kathryn Cooper as your photographer! My girlfriend and I connected with her for a couples session and we cherish all of the photos she delivered to us. As a same-sex couple, it can be hard to feel comfortable or natural around new photographers, but Kathryn put us so at ease, validated us, and it felt like we knew her for many years! So if you're LGBTQ+ we definitely recommend using her - you can tell she loves to capture all love! The photos she captured of us really made our personalities shine through and I don't think we have ever worked with a photographer that had more tricks up their sleeves! Also she has the best stories to tell while snapping away photos, her life is as colorful as the photos she edits. She knows how to capture all of the right and special moments to make her photos the ones you always want to look back at. 5 stars! -

Gifted Photographer
Like many others, 5-stars is not enough. Kathryn is an amazing photographer and an amazing person. We hired Kathryn for our NYC engagement photos in November. We are a Texas couple who were on their first trip to NYC and I wanted it to be so memorable by taking our engagement photos there. Honestly, I wasn't a bride that had a specific must-have picture so I let Kathryn do what she wanted and also in the locations she enjoyed the most. I just want to say that she worked so well with us starting from choosing locations and instructing us on how to work the camera (we are not the best at this!!-LOL). She was so patient and made us feel extremely comfortable taking these pictures and they came out soooo good! I love them all!
Now, I somehow lost my photos somewhere in my computer/phone. I reached out to her and she was kind enough to send them back to me in a timely manner. I was so grateful she still had them and saved me, LITERALLY!! -

Since 5 stars was the only option, it was given but she deserves at least 20!!!!!! I don’t even know where to start. I think Kathryn was fated to be our wedding photographer, nothing else explains how well it all turned out. I am now at a point where it seems like I am experiencing a love fantasy story through images whenever I look at my pictures. The way she was able to capture our day was beyond amazing and it’s the same sentiment expressed by anyone who has viewed our pictures, from our wedding guests, family and friends who didn’t attend, to complete strangers. Simply beautiful and magical.
First of all, she was so easy to work with. From the very beginning our interactions was seamless, first conversation on the phone, to contract and final delivery of our photos, all of it was as if we have been working with each other for years. I have heard so many horror stories from friends and family about their photographers and being unhappy with the outcome that I was scared that my experience would be similar. However, working with Kathryn was indeed a dream and my photos are wonderful.
I don’t think a day has passed when we do not look at our photos with smiles our faces. The high quality of them magically transport us back to the day and we are able to relive it all over again. Her picture are clear and full of energy. So well done that you can feel the emotions, hear the music and experience all the joys. I can’t imagine anyone else being able to capture it the way she did. She was able to get little moments in between moments that would easily be missed by someone else. She was omnipresent yet invisible if that makes any sense but it’s the best I can explain it.
She was there when the Bridal party was getting ready yet not in the way. Captured the ceremony in a way that you can feel the love from us making our vows and our audience taking it all in. Documented the fun of the dance party to a point where you can hear the music that went along with the moves frozen in time. Her presence was hardly felt in the room but because we have these captured moments, we know she was there.
We found her online after months of searching and talking to many other photographers. She caught our attention when we saw pictures of couples that she had taken. We were able to feel the spirit, emotion and genuine joy in them. Her attention to details and being able to capture all of those emotions spoke to us immediately. We were hooked by her pictures for their creativity and her sense of adventure that is clear through her work. Her style matched ours so well.
I would recommend her as a photographer to anyone who wants to have pictures that will allow them to relive their wedding day over and over again. She was a joy to work with, easy going and yet very astute to our wishes as a couple even without it being expressed. Thank you Kathryn for making my already wonderful day one that I can keep visiting for many years to come. -

Amazing Photographer For Spring Styled Shoot
I had the pleasure of working with Kathryn for a spring 2019 styled shoot at Garrison Crest. She was absolutely LOVELY to work with! When she asked me to help plan, design and coordinate the shoot, I was happy to jump on board. She is so easy going and was very clear and specific on what her vision was. Not only is she super funny and such a great person to be around, but she is a fantastic photographer! Her photos were absolutely stunning! She has such a good eye and was able to add so much depth to the photos. I am beyond pleased with the way they turned out. I look forward to working with Kathryn again soon! -

There are great photographers, but I like Kathryn’s style because she is going to change your view what every other photographer is about. I’m so inspired by her travels and how she gets to a these places in the world! I feel that shes passionate about her experiences and in some ways shes including them into the present moments of a portrait. She made the experience adventurous and fun no matter where we were. She’s funny, relaxed, easy going, you can hang out with her, she’s a cool person to know and a wind storm would mean she can be even more creative.
