  She made engagement and wedding photos feel like a breeze

  We loved working with Kate! She was personable, patient, and kind, helping my husband and I feel relaxed during our engagement and wedding photos. Every smile and laugh was natural and we will definitely reach out to her for any future photo needs! On our wedding day, she and her additional photographer worked as a seamless team to capture a variety of angles of group photos, detail shots, and wonderful moments with just us and them. We couldn't be more happy with our photos and are so thankful for her perfect eye in capturing just the right photos to remember such a special day!

  Kate was an amazing find for my big day. She is not only incredibly patient, flexible, and comfortable to work with. She provides great energy that makes you feel relaxed during your big day. She manages to capture every shot you can imagine, and provides timeless photos that look so natural and beautiful. I couldn't be more thrilled about our entire shoot. I am so impressed that it made it very difficult to choose between all the shots that were taken. Thank you Kate for all of your hard work! I would recommend her for any type of photograph needed.

  We can't say enough great things about Kate!! Our friends and family are still talking about how much they loved the photos and the special, fun moments she captured behind the camera. My favorite thing Kate did for us on our wedding day, was take us aside a few times to just capture us in the moment of the day and each other, which you can easily forget to do with everything going on. Those were some of my favorite pictures! She was absolutely wonderful to work with and would recommend her to any bride!

  We loved working with Kate!!! Our photos are incredible and capture everyone's personalities along with so many special moments from our day.   Kate is truly an amazing photographer. From start to finish she makes the whole process fun and easy. No matter how many “dumb” questions I had to ask she was always so patient and kind. Her fun personality makes you feel at ease throughout the whole process. Her artistic ability is absolutely stunning and my wedding pictures are the most romantic, dreamy photos I could have imagined. She really goes above and beyond to make you feel special and beautiful. I would recommend Kate to anyone and everyone who is looking for a professional photographer!! You will NOT be disappointed.

  I cannot say enough good things about having Kate as our wedding photographer. Throughout the entire process, it was an absolute pleasure working with her. She was patient with our questions, and very responsive. Some of the best wedding advice I received was to find a photographer you enjoy being around because you are with them for so much of your wedding day. I completely agree with that advice, and for me Kate was the perfect choice. She made the wedding day so fun and relaxing. She was easy going while still being very attentive to details, and she brought the best out in everyone while she was shooting. And aside from her wonderful personality, she has incredible photography skills! We could not be more happy with the shots she got of our day. If I could give 1 millions stars I would, because Kate is truly the best!

  Kate Lyon is a professional, artistic, attentive, and thorough wedding photographer. Above all that, she is a kind human being who connects personally to the people she's photographing. We felt she did not just "cover" our wedding; she worked to understand it and to document it, to reveal the beauty of it. As we page through the hundreds of photos she took of our special ceremony, we are struck again and again by how perfectly she captured our own feelings about marrying each other in front of our friends and family (feelings we couldn't process fully at the time, that Kate's photography helps us re-live).
  
  Everyone who has seen Kate's photos of our wedding has remarked on the artistry of her shots. She experiments with a variety of perspectives, and captures light as a true artist would. Every image she gave us seemed flawless.
  
  Above ALL of that, Kate connected to us on that day. She got to know us, she got to know our daughter, and she worked to understand the intention of what we were doing. When our minister failed to show up (yes, that happened), Kate and her assistant helped keep us both calm, they helped us find our marriage certificate at the end of the ceremony, and they kept everyone at ease and laughing.
  
  After our wedding, Kate processed our photos and posted some of her favorites on her blog as a hint of what was to come. She masterfully used social media and her website to help everyone remember the day and access the images. When she sent our USB drive with the images, as well as the prints we ordered, she included a beautiful, personal note. The entire time, she took this kind of care of us (when she contracted with her, she sent us a welcome bottle of wine and a journal for us to record ideas for shots). She is absolutely fabulous.
  
  I would recommend Kate Marie Photography to ANYONE. She produces beautiful photography, but she also enhances the event with her presence. She is the best wedding photographer I could imagine.

  We had the most amazing experience with Kate Marie. Our wedding would not have been the same without her. We felt like we were friends with her - she is so nice and friendly - so that made doing intimate photos less awkward. She handled complex family dynamics with a breeze.   Kate is absolutely amazing! She has a great eye for location, light, etc. She knows exactly how to direct the shoot to make the couple feel completely at ease. I am constantly getting compliments on our photos! I highly recommend Kate!

  Kate was a joy to work with and be around in general. She kept us so relaxed during the engagement photo shoot, and captured so much of our wedding day but also kept us on schedule! She delivered absolutely gorgeous photos and an album that we'll treasure forever. You can't go wrong in choosing her for all your important photo occasions!

  I have worked with KateMarie Photography as and bride and behind the scenes. As a bride she was open to my ideas and wanted to make sure I got every shot I wanted. She helped organize my crazy family and eased my stress on wedding day. Working with her behind the scenes on another brides wedding day she was very accommodating and flexible. She is organized and produces a great product! Her work has improved over the years and her eye for capturing the moment is truly a gift. Very much recommend.

  Katie was referred through a friend, and has since become a friend. She helped make our wedding day incredible and we would use her again in a second.   Kate did a wonderful job with our engagement pictures! She turned our pictures into an awesome guest book where people could give us advice for our future and write fun little memories of us and we had so many compliments on our guest book.
  Kate also did our programs and invitations. They were exactly how I wanted them, and Kate was very patient while I kept changing my mind on the invitations :)
  If she had been available to do our day-of pictures, I would have booked her!

  Kate Marie Photography did a great job at the wedding and the pictures so far are absolutely beautiful. Prices are competitive and not over priced when compared to other companies in the area. They are flexible and packages can be altered to fit your needs. I ordered prints from the engagement session and were delivered fast! Very experienced photographers!

  Kate was great. She flew from Colorado to Iowa for our wedding and did a wonderful job. She came with a colleague who also took a large amount of pictures. We ended up with so many proofs I'm not sure what to do with them all. We still have yet to see the album layout, but so far everything is beautiful.

  Kate was great. She flew from Colorado to Iowa for our wedding and did a wonderful job. She came with a colleague who also took a large amount of pictures. We ended up with so many proofs I'm not sure what to do with them all. We still have yet to see the album layout, but so far everything is beautiful.
