I felt like a queen and so did my bridal party!

I booked The Bridal Beauty Team for my wedding in Milwaukee. From the start they were great to work with. They were always quick to respond and adressed every concern I had. My mom can't use most make-up and we were concerned she'd have a reaction if she used their make-up but I was told they'd do her make-up with her own stuff since she has prescription skin care items.

We had Heather for hair (and my make-up) and Myriam for make-up. Everyone had a blast and everyone looked AMAZING! The hair and make-up lasted ALL NIGHT which I was super impressed with. Even at midnight our hair and make-up was looking fresh. If you need someone for hair / make-up for a wedding please do yourself a favor and book them NOW!

Exactly what I hoped for

The Bridal Beauty team helped me feel absolutely beautiful for my wedding. Angelique able to take my vague guidance and somehow give me exactly what I was looking for, both hair and makeup. The rest of my bridal party was equally happy.

Amazing service

I wanted to say thank you your team for the incredible job done for my wedding day on 11/4/23 at the Drake hotel. I had Ann and Val help with the hair and Makeup. They were professional and arrived at 6am to the hotel for their services. The hair and makeup looked amazing both for myself and the bridesmaids, and lasted all day long! I would recommend this company again!

Excellent hair and makeup team

The Bridal Beauty Team did a fantastic job for my wedding! We had a lot of services for myself, bridesmaids, a flower girl, and the moms, and Alexa and Myriam did such beautiful work in an efficient and timely manner. I was really appreciative of how they tailored each look to the individual, especially for our moms, and they were great with my niece as well. Kate, Gina, and the team are very communicative in setting up the trial, timeline, etc. and it was a super easy experience with very fair pricing. Would definitely recommend them!

Amazing Experience!

We used the Bridal Beauty Team to do the hair make up for three bridesmaids, two moms, and me. They were so easy to work with and communicated well. Gina made organizing the morning so easy. We had Amanda for hair and Jeannette for make up, and they both did incredible jobs. Both hair and makeup turned out even more beautiful than my trials. They are truly magic!

Makeup and hair

The Bridal Beauty Team is an absolute must have for your special day. Gabriella and Jeanette did a fabulous job on our hair and makeup. The airbrush created such a flawless and finishing touch. This team was incredibly easy to work with and my bridal party and I had a great time getting ready with them.
Gina, from BBT, also kept me updated and organized throughout the entire planning process which was an added bonus!

Loved my experience

The Bridal Beauty Team was so great to work with on my wedding day. My hair and makeup, as well as the hair and makeup done for our moms & my bridesmaids was so beautiful. The ladies that were a part of my wedding day team were amazing. The company was very easy to work with and I would 100% recommend them. Alexa did my hair & Rosie did my makeup and I was obsessed with it. Everything went seamlessly and all three ladies that showed up were incredibly fun and professional. I can't say enough good things about working with this company.

Amazing Experience

The Bridal Beauty Team was fabulous from start to finish! Kate and Gina were wonderful and responsive from inquiry to scheduling and we couldn't have asked for a better duo than Amy and Besa on the day. Not only did they make sure everyone in the party had the look they wanted, but they were just a joy to have as part of the celebration. Everyone looked stunning and the looks lasted effortlessly for the whole evening!

An Efficient and Skilled Team!

I had an excellent experience with the bridal beauty team for my wedding hair and makeup. I worked with Mary, who is exceptionally competent and did a stellar job. She took my feedback without question at both my trial and on the big day, and didn't bat an eye at changing some elements of my hairstyle between the trial and the actual wedding. My extremely curly and frizz-prone hair stayed perfectly in place -- with my natural texture!! -- all day, and my makeup stayed on despite sweating a lot from all the dancing. An A+ job.

The team that did bridal party hair and makeup did a wonderful job as well. All the ladies were overjoyed with their hair and makeup, which stayed in place all day. The team was efficient and flexible despite some bridesmaid tardiness, and were extremely competent and professional. I have already recommended the Bridal Beauty Team to family and friends for their weddings. They did a wonderful job!

Beautiful Wedding Hair & Make Up

TBBT was amazing for our wedding! I did my research and spoke with a number of H&M vendors. I chose TBBT because they were professional, timely with responses, answered all of my questions and I trusted their system. It was reassuring that they have such a large group of artists to staff my 10-11 group of girls. Kate reassured me that her stylists were trained and comfortable with naturally curly hair. My curls were perfect! Angelique was my stylist. She was so sweet! I did my trial with her. Afterwards, I sent her some thoughts about what I would want to do differently the day of and she listened and made it happen. On the day of my wedding, I looked exactly as I had imagined!! Thank you!!

Never Looked Prettier

I used the Bridal Beauty team on two occasions - once for my 2020 Covid living room wedding and again in 2021 for our rescheduled actual wedding. Both occasions the experience and quality of work was incredible. In 2020 I had Sophia as an artist and really enjoyed our conversation and the final product of hair and makeup without even a trial - it was stunning! This year, we had Laura (my artist) and Lauren doing hair and makeup for 9 people. My ladies were in absolute AWE of their looks. Many of them have had or been in weddings and lamented that they didn’t live in Chicago or didn’t know about KJArtistry on their occasions. Everyone was amazed, overjoyed, and the prices are very reasonable for the great service. I hope I have other events where I can use them again - they made me look like an absolute goddess!

Can’t recommend this team enough!

I hired Kate for my wedding day makeup and hair. I also had her for my engagement session. Kate was absolutely amazing to work with. She was prompt and responsive during all of our communications. I absolutely loved my hair and makeup for both my engagement shoot and our wedding day photos. She made the trial process easy and even gave me the idea to make sure I did my trial during one of my final fittings so I could get the whole look. In addition she did my makeup and hair along with five other girls and we were done and ready to go even before we had to leave the hotel! Kate is wonderful to work with and I can't recommend her and her team enough. Thank you, Kate!

As a wedding planner here in Chicago, I absolutely knew before I was engaged that I would want Kate Johnson to do my hair & makeup for our engagement photos (& wedding day)! So the second we scheduled our photo shoot, I instantly gave Kate a call! Kate is not only so personable, funny, kind, and just overall amazing, but Kate is a MASTER at her craft! Sophia made my day STRESS FREE

I originally chose a different makeup artist for my big day. I messaged Sophia for pricing and the other vendor got back to me sooner and out of peer pressure I booked with them. WHAT. A. MISTAKE. I won't go into details but 4 months after booking with them I still didn't have a contract and a secure spot so I messaged Sophia back to see if she was still available. She had no hard feelings about before and she did have a spot open and even offered to do my makeup for me herself after the hassle I was going through with the other people. Sophia immediately got me a contract, and a spot secured. Any and all questions I had she immediately answered and was so warm and welcoming, it was like I was emailing a friend. We scheduled the bridal trial and I paid for my mom to have a trial done since she has never had her makeup professionally done and was SUPER nervous. Sophia came all the way out to my house, made both my mom and I feel so beautiful before she even put the makeup on. She is such a down to earth person and its impossible not to get along with her. My mom fell in love with her! She was SO nervous and Sophia made sure she took her time and talked with my mom. My mom never stopped talking and loved her makeup. I loved my makeup! I hate wearing makeup and I looked SO good, I didn't want to take it off!! Sophia was so gentle and kind and just friendly. When covid happened she was one of two vendors (out of what like 10?) that gave me a straight forward answer when I asked for my money back. She was up front, honest, and explained why some money wouldn't be given back etc etc. Then she even tried to ease MY stress (I mean MINE!? SHES THE ONE LOSING BUSINESS!!!) She emailed me all night, long paragraphs about how to go about other vendors and how to possibly do some things differently. Ultimately our venue would not budge and we had to go through with the wedding. Sophia was AMAZING and communicated with me until the day of. On the day of she immediately got to work, didn't take ONE break, not even a potty break. She made my mom and mother in law look so good and feel so comfortable in her chair. My mom never stops talking about how much she loves Sophia. Sophia fit in so well with our group and made us all feel so loved. Please don't make the same mistake I did. Just book with Sophia. She is worth it and MORE.

Fantastic Team!

Sophia was so easy to communicate with and very helpful in coordinating schedules as I reached out much later than I should have in the planning process. She was far more responsive than any other hair/makeup team I reached out to. I was so happy with the coordination of services and so happy with how my hair and makeup turned out. My bridesmaids and I especially loved our makeup artist Tara as she was so easy to get along with and go great at guiding us as we had no idea what we wanted. The whole team was so kind and made me feel special and valued. Would highly recommend.

Couldn't be happier!

I am SO glad I booked with Sophia Bella for my wedding. Sophia was so generous with her time, responding to emails quickly and thoroughly. I had hair and makeup done for myself, my mom, and my bridesmaids. Natalie did our hair, and Ann did our makeup. Both were wonderful, super communicative, and very open to feedback.

My hair is fine textured, and never stays up, even in a ponytail. I wanted a simple up-do for my wedding, and Natalie delivered. My hair stayed put all night, looked just how I wanted it to, and did not hurt at all!

I don't wear much makeup day to day, and had never had it done professionally, so I wasn't sure what to expect at my trial. I ended up asking Ann for a couple of changes for the wedding day. She listened and offered suggestions based on what I said. I was very happy with the final look, and felt beautiful and still like I looked like myself! I had a very particular bridesmaid who was in 3 other weddings this year, and this was her favorite hair and makeup of all of them. I would recommend the team at Sophia Bella to anyone.

Beautiful Wedding Day Makeup

Kate is a phenomenal artist, woman, and business owner!! I had been following her on social media and when my planner recommended her, I didn't even call anyone else! We completely hit it off from the first phone call. She was super accommodating, considering I was planning my Chicago wedding from San Diego. She calmed my nerves the day of my wedding, did outstanding work with my bridal party, and my makeup was out of this world! Even the day before, when I had a horrible incident with a different spray tan business owner - there was Kate, willing to come to my rescue! Her personal eyelash line is awesome - I bought myself a second set! Kate is extremely knowledgeable, professional, kind, and reliable. She's honestly everything I'd look for in a personal friend, and she made my day perfect. I can't wait to have a reason to call Kate again - she's the best!

One of the best Indian Hair/Makeup vendors!

Kate was the perfect hair/makeup artist for my engagement ceremony. She was great to work with from the date we initially talked through the big day. She created beautiful designs for hair and makeup for myself and my mom and the final product did not disappoint. Hands-on, the BEST makeup team!

First off, HUGE kudos to Sophia Bella Bridal for providing such a seamless, stress-free, and enjoyable experience for not only myself, but for my mom, mother-in-law, and bridesmaids prior to and on my wedding day!

Ann, you absolutely nailed everyone's (including myself) makeup! The girls kept raving all night about how natural their makeup looked and felt. My mom and mother-in-law were entirely comfortable with the airbrush and felt really glam all day! As for myself, I felt AWESOME. I looked and felt like myself but just more of a glammed-up version, which is exactly what I was looking for! It was such a great natural look but with a few bold touches. I LOVED every last detail.

As well as your assistant, Samah, she put the final touches on everything perfectly and was so entirely helpful throughout the morning. She even touched up some of my bridesmaids' nail polish for them!

I've been raving to everyone about Ann's level of skill, professionalism, and creative style! As well as, I've been recommending Sophia Bella Bridal because Sophia, you were great to work with!

Worth every penny!

I made a fairly last minute decision to get the concierge service. Kate called me right away, put me at ease, and paired me with Rosie. Rosie also got in touch with me the same day to set up a trial. I met with her the weekend before my wedding and she nailed my hair and make up on the first try!

Kate and Rosie got me and my bridal party ready on my wedding day, and we felt like the most beautiful women in the world! They did such a fantastic job!

Then we were off with Rosie by my side all day. She was so much more than my make up artist-she was our official “hype girl“ making us smile and laugh all day through pictures, comforting me through all my panic moments, making sure we all had everything we needed in pictures, and crying with me before I walked down the aisle with my dad.

I just can’t say enough about Rosie and Kate. !!

Amazingly Talented Hair and Make-up Artist

Kate did an amazing job on my hair and make-up for my wedding day. I have a lot of hair, and I was little worried that my hair would be looking pretty sad by the end of the night. However, I didn't need to worry in Kate's capable hands. She crafted a stunning undo that looked great both with and without my veil, and that stayed put throughout the night. Kate also is an amazingly talented make-up artist who really listened to me when I described how I wanted to look. I'd suggest that clients also book a trial appointment with Kate in advance. I loved my look after my trial, and it was great to make sure that what I thought I wanted was actually what I wanted prior to my big day. I would highly recommend Kate to anyone who wants to look extra special.

Absolutely Perfect!

Kate Johnson Artistry is great! I was looking for a place where I did not have to sign up the whole bridal party for makeup as it can get very pricey. Kate Johnson was flexible with allowing us to choose the number of girls that were partaking in services, and pricing was a lot more reasonable than other salons I had looked into. Lauren from Kate Johnson did my makeup and she is so amazing! During the trial, I showed her several inspiration pictures but not being a makeup guru, I let her take the lead. She did such a beautiful job and made me feel comfortable in my own skin while glamming it up a bit. On the wedding day, it was so nice to have someone as calm and sweet as Lauren around. She did makeup for my mom, my sister and me on my big day. We all felt so beautiful, and the makeup lasted throughout the day flawlessly, even in the summer. Lauren and I became friends through our time together, and I cherish the memories from being pampered and feeling my absolute best. Thank you Kate Johnson and Lauren!

Hair and Make-up Perfection

May I start by saying that I have had wedding hair and make-up experiences before and...meh? So I entered into this with skepticism. But that turned to pure delight when Natalie and Sophia swooped into our wedding excitement with their love, joy, and absolute incredible hair and make-up talents that had us all absolutely thrilled with the results! You want a "natural" look, Sophia knows exactly what you mean. Did you say, "Sleek and modern?" No problem. And you don't even have to ask, "Can you erase the fine lines and wrinkles," they just know how to do that! We didn't just like our hair and make-up, we LOVED, LOVED, LOVED it. Every one of us. But even beyond that, Sophia and Natalie are like rays of sweet sunshine that sparkle up your wedding day with all kinds of kindness, patience, thoughtfulness and joy. They are an absolute delight as part of the getting-ready celebration. We were completely sold when, after my daughter's hair and make-up trial, Sophia contacted her to let her know that she had been thinking about ways to improve her desired hairstyle (my daughter was happy with the original trial look, but yes, indeed, on her wedding day it was in fact EVEN BETTER!). Best team EVER!

I don't think I have the words to describe how fabulous and talented the ladies of Sophia Bella Bridal are but I'll give it a shot. It's crazy because my hairdresser recommended me to someone else for hair services and she was booked so I was doing some research and came across Sophia Bella Bridal. I remember looking at their work and being in awe. I reached out and Sophia was the sweetest person ever. I asked her a million questions and she had an answer for everything, and each answer made me feel like she was so excited about my big day and wanting to make sure that I was prepared and happy with the services before I received them. I booked an at home trial for my mom and I with Sophia and Natalie and it was honestly one of the best experiences throughout my entire wedding planning process. The talent and passion those girls carry with them is breathtaking and they definitely know how to make anyone feel beautiful. Beyond being talented, they are so fun and caring, they're definitely the type of people you want to keep around and hang out with outside of the job. On my wedding day, April was also contracted for makeup services and she was just as amazing as Sophia and Natalie. The three of them worked so hard all morning and made each member of my bridal party feel and look absolutely beautiful. Everyone was raving about their services. I felt absolutely stunning and was in love with my hair and makeup. The way I can describe it is that they are more than just service providers. They create a once in a lifetime experience and I can honestly say that my wedding day would not have been the same without them!

Beautiful talent and spirit

Sophia created my vision and made me feel beautiful! First off, Sophia’s work is phenomenal and she is the nicest person you will ever meet. She truly wants to make sure you like every single thing about your hair and makeup! I changed my style for hair like three times and she was awesome with looking at the inspiration pics I found at trial. On the day of the wedding she worked her magic! We laughed and had fun! She calms me and makes you feel like family (we even found out we know we each other through family!!!) my hair and make up was flawless and turned out even better than i imagined it. I can go on and on but I’ll let the pictures do the talking!!!!
My mom and sisters hair and lashes turned out amazing as well! They felt beautiful and were glowing as well all night!

Kate saved my wedding day!

This is a long overdue review! Kate and her team did a fantastic job on my make up & hair for my big day. They also did make-up for all of my bridesmaids, my mother, and the mother of the groom. Everyone looked gorgeous!

After taking some beautiful photos in the snow, I was on the verge of my first "Bridezilla" moment. My hair was so wet, my curls started to fall (understandably). My make-up was amazingly completely still intact! Thankfully Kate was able to come back right before my ceremony and fix my hair. I have never been so relieved! Her team truly went above and beyond. I would highly recommend Kate and her team.

Best Choice for Wedding

Kate was ALWAYS soo responsive to all emails and she allowed me soo much flexibility with my trial for dates/times. On the actual wedding day, she was on time, and even more, she was just soo much fun to have around. I loved working with her that day, and she made my hair look incredible! Sophia & Natalie are The Kindest, Most Genuine & Talented

As someone who is VERY picky about their hair and makeup, I am blown away by how Sophia Bella Bridal serviced my bridal party at my wedding in December 2018. From the moment I met them during my trial, I felt like I had known them forever. It truly feels like I gained 2 friends by working with them! In fact, I went to bed the night before the wedding so excited to hang out with them the next morning (and get married of course ha!).

Our hair and makeup stayed put all day & night, even with lots of crying, misty winter weather, and sweaty dancing. They were both so talented, detail oriented, and accommodating to all of our needs/preferences. I have thin hair due to medical problems, but Natalie made my hair look SO full. She also used my clip in extensions. My mom opted to rent clip-ins from Sophia for the day and loved them. They were clean, smooth, and great quality. After the wedding my mom mailed them back to Sophia.

Overall, I highly highly recommend booking Sophia Bella if you want a reliable & talented hair and makeup team that will make you feel like royalty.

Sophia Bella is Amazing!

We hired Sophia (makeup) and Natalie (hair) for a trial and for day-of services, and they were pretty much amazing.
Our trial included me, my mom, and my sister. My mom and sister had never had professional makeup, and have skin and hair product concerns, such as allergies. Sophia and Natalie both provided product information and in-depth consultation about their concerns and preferences. The trial was so much fun, and we all wanted to wear our new looks forever!
The day-of was even better. Sophia and Natalie styled 7 women, and hung out with toddlers and an infant as well. We could not stop commenting on the quality, professionalism, and FUN they brought to our day. Guests commented on how beautiful our hair and makeup looks were, and they lasted all day (even in the snow).
I would recommend Sophia Bella to anyone who wants to look and feel amazing on their wedding day.

Wow! Wow! Wow! We booked Kate Johnson Artistry for my wedding last month and couldn't have asked for better service. We booked hair and makeup for me, the ladies in our bridal party and both mothers and we were so thankful we did. Everyone looked amazing, and was happy with how they looked... a couple of the girls who were recently married even said they looked better than they did on their own wedding days! Before booking: Kate was super responsive and so easy to work with. She really took the time to listen to what I wanted.

Rosie- Rosie was my makeup artist and she was fantastic. My ceremony and reception were on two different days and Rosie and I wanted two different looks. Old school glam and more of a party look for our nye reception. Rosie nailed both of them. I wouldn’t have changed anything. As an added bonus, Rosie’s an awesome person!

Chris did the makeup for my family and everyone looked amazing. Each person knew what look they were going for and Chris brought it to life. Everyone was so impressed.

Best Hair/Makeup Team in Chicago!!

Kate and her team were completely flawless, I would recommend them to anyone. She did my engagement photos, a trial, and my wedding day hair/makeup - all of it was simply perfection. Every single person on her team listened to exactly what my bridesmaids wanted for hair/makeup and executed it perfectly. They were the most pleasant people to work with throughout the entire process and made everyone look their absolute best. End product aside, it was the most fluid and speediest hair/makeup team I have ever experienced at a wedding. Nothing felt rushed, but we were done in plenty of time for photos despite having 14 people having services done. Kate was incredibly easy to communicate with and responded immediately to any and all e-mails I sent. Sophia and Jayme are a dream duo!! I could not recommend them more highly! Sophia was my makeup artist and Jayme was my hair stylist on my wedding day for myself as well as 9 other ladies - quite a big group and they acted like it was nothing! Throughout my hair and makeup trials and over email, it has been such a pleasure getting to know them. They are not only complete sweethearts but they are so funny and put me and my group completely at ease during what could have been a stressful wedding day morning. And, they made my bridesmaids, family, and I look absolutely stunning! I received so many compliments during my wedding day and it's all thanks to them! My bridesmaids looked so gorgeous and I love how the makeup that Sophia uses isn't heavy and looks natural so that you look like yourself. Using Kate Johnson Artistry for my daughter’s wedding hair and makeup was such a fabulous decision! Every member of the wedding party (seven bridesmaids!) looked simply beautiful -- and especially my daughter, the bride. While of course I am just a bit biased, many people commented that she looked like a movie star. Rosie Hunter could not have been more patient, receptive to each woman’s preferences, and professional throughout the long day of preparation. As mother of the bride, I was worried that my hair, which was shedding in the weeks before the August 25 wedding due to a serious illness I’d had in April, would look flat, thin and not hold up during the whole busy day. My insecurities we totally unfounded -- it held its style all day and night, and had the natural look I had hoped for. A wedding guest, also a hair stylist, actually commented that she loved my hair! But the star of the show was my daughter. She was simply radiant. Naturally, she was glowing with happiness, but Rosie’s expertise really made her shine. She seemed to know intuitively the classic style Natalie was aiming for, and totally brought it to life. The entire experience was positive and happy -- the team was friendly, warm and worked their magic quickly, and with wonderful result. I can’t recommend Kate Johnson Artistry enough!

I found Sophia via Wedding Wire (and I highly recommend the site - because when I booked, Wedding Wire sent me a gift card for booking through their site). She emailed back and forth with me to answer all of my questions, and was always very friendly and helpful! We scheduled a trial at her house, and then hair and makeup on the day of my courthouse wedding for just me. She was professional, a pleasure to work with, and very knowledgeable about her craft. I do not often concern myself with hair and makeup, so I do not know much about either. But, Sophia helped me to create a look that I loved, and to match my dress, using just a few questions and a Pinterest board. I originally found Sophia Bella Bridal on a local wedding Facebook group and I'm so glad I did! Her professionalism and attentiveness was something I deeply appreciated, as I was a busy bride planning my entire wedding. Kate and her team have been such a pleasure to work with over the years. My sister got married in 2015 and used Kate Johnson Artistry for her big day-they did a phenomenal job so I used them for my own wedding this year in May. I had a group of 8 gals (including me) to glam up and they went beyond my expectations! We had Kate doing makeup and hair, and Carla doing hair. All of my bridesmaids looked absolutely stunning and I've never felt more beautiful in my entire life. On my big day I told Kate I wanted a few tweaks from our trial run with both my hair and makeup--her and Carla listened closely and totally nailed it. I have very long, thick and heavy hair that typically won't keep a curl but they worked their magic and my curls stuck the entire night. Kate and her team do amazing work and are so fun to work with, I would absolutely recommend them to anyone! Kate and Carla-thank you so very much for your talented and creative work!

Kate is absolutely fabulous to work with!! She knows what she is doing and was great to be in contact with prior to the wedding. She was able to tell me how things would go that day, what to expect for a timeline, everything was accurate and she was even able to do everyone’s makeup according to plan. She does beautiful work, gives a natural look that gives any bride a glow. I have recommended her nto many brides and couldn’t have had a better experience! She even traveled quite a distance to make it for my big day and that meant a lot to me. She is fun to be around with an outgoing personality and that helped keep the atmosphere upbeat and my whole wedding party loved her. Her knowledge of makeup and what to use to match your skin was very impressive. She used an airbrush machine and I’ve never seen such talent other than that. This was my second time using her for makeup application, first was for a masquerade party in Chicago and she didn’t a fabulous job with my costume makeup as well.

Thank you so much for the amazing hair and makeup job done by your team this past weekend. Everyone was so happy with their looks and everyone looked beautiful! Darlene and Lauren are Godsends! They were truly genuine and awesome people and amazing artists and I am so happy I had them for my hair and makeup. Where do I begin with Dear Sophia. She is not only professional and knowledgeable, but she is truly an amazing person. She made myself, as well as my bridesmaids and family feel comfortable during the make up process. Words can not express my happiness that Sophia gave me on my wedding day. After she applied my makeup, she held the mirror for me to see the results and I wanted to cry. She made me feel so beautiful. Sophia is just amazing beyond words. Sophia is extremely professional, patient, and talented. She really took time to understand the "look" that I was going for and to achieve it. I got so many compliments on my makeup, and my pictures turned out beautiful. I would recommend her to anyone!

Thank you Sophia for making the day of my wedding perfect! I was thrilled with my makeup and so were all my bridesmaids!!! We got so many compliments and the makeup looked just as good st the end of the night!!

Where do I begin. Sophia was absolutely amazing, she made me feel like a vision of beauty on my wedding day. She had to take on my crazy family and bridesmaids and she did it with the utmost respect and patient a person could have. I was so worried about not feeling beautiful but she absolutely exceeded my expectations. Her products and brushes were the best quality and she was so professional. She actually listened to what we wanted and coached us on why and what she was doing. It was such an amazing experience to have someone so in tune with what your vision for your big day was. She was truly such a joy to have on such a stressful morning. I couldn't think of anyone else to have making me look beautiful on the biggest day of my life.

Sophia was absolutely incredible! After a bit of a bad experience with a different vendor, I reached out a bit late to Sophia who was completely a breath of fresh air. It was only about a month before the wedding when I contacted her and I went out on a whim--her work looked so incredible I thought she surely would be booked. It turned out that she was available and she has been just absolutely the best to work with the entire time. She even coordinated for Natalie to do my hair--who was equally amazing!

Sophia is extremely organized and she got back to me very quickly--including the initial booking, questions that I had, appointments, etc. She worked around my last minute schedule as well and was so helpful the entire time. I picked Sophia because I could tell from her website that she not only had great skill, but she was so TALENTED because she could apply that skill to different looks. So many times a makeup artist has only one look they try to push on everyone--not the case at all with Sophia! She listened to what I was looking for, asked a few questions, looked at some photos that I showed her and she really got a feel for what I was going for. Her products are CLEAN and they are great QUALITY products. At my trial, she also was very professional about letting me know that she wanted my feedback and if there was anything I didn't like about the look, she could change it. She is extremely professional. This carried over to the wedding day as well--she showed up on time, was extremely organized, and was just such a pleasure to work with--and to hang out with! She is so kind and easy to get along with--it made wedding prep and wedding day a breeze! Sophia and Natalie are the epitome of impeccable customer service and talent in the wedding industry!

Where do I begin?! Sophia was the BEST decision I made for my wedding! I found her last minute and she was extremely accommodating and responded quickly with her prices and availability. My makeup trial with her went so well! I knew at that moment that my wedding day was going to be ten times better because I was having her do my makeup. I fell in love with what she did, and it lasted all day and night!! The wedding day was perfect. I did not think my makeup could get any better, but it did! Every single one of my bridesmaids looked stunning and I was so in love with my makeup. I highly recommend Sophia, and I have already suggested her to future brides that I know, and will continue to do so. She takes pride in her work, as she very well should because she is absolutely amazing and outstanding. Not to mention, she is the sweetest! I was so super nervous to pick a make-up artist for my wedding. I had already had a friend doing my hair and I already knew she was awesome, but makeup was more challenging.

I like makeup. Alot. Actually, no, I LOVE make up. I don't wear it too often, because i rarely leave the house but when I do, I go ALL out. I own tons of make up. Highlighters and bronzers, and 900 lipglosses. Primers and face sprays, and everything imginable. Unfortunately, i dont know how to use it all, and definitely not together.

All of the bridal portfolios I looked at were very pretty... But so not me. I wanted MAKE UP. Like alot of makeup. But still wanted it to look amazing and natural.... while, not being the typical natural look.

So coupling that with the fact I'm slightly particular about everything but also super indecisive, I thought finding the right person would be a challenge.

Fast forward.... awesome hair girl recommended Sophia. At that point, I figured I had nothing to lose and contacted her.

She was super professional, but also opened up quite easily. (I have lots of questions. About make up, and more makeup, and kinda everything else in life lol) Sophia was cool, easy to get a hold of. Answered all my questions, came up with creative ideas... figured I was in pretty good hands.

We did my trial the same day as I had a budiour photo Shoot, and OMGosh, I was in amazing hands. I LOVED everything. It was perfect.

Of course, I was still slightly nervous she wouldn't be able to replicate it exactly for the wedding. And she didnt. She added some new elements and I was totally blown away. I didn't think it could look any better, but some how she did it.

So, now I have an awesome hair friend and an awesome makeup friend. If I had the funds, I would hire Sophia to my makeup every time I ledt the house. I looked and more importantly, felt awesome!!!

*She also did my young daughters, mom, niece and MIL. They all looked stunning and everyone LOVED her♡

I really can't say enough about Sophia! She does her best to make sure you look beautiful for your wedding and makes you feel so comfortable. She was so sweet and easy to work with! I LOVED my makeup and all of my bridesmaids looked gorgeous as well. The airbrush looked flawless and lasted all night long. Everyone was done on time too so there was so stressing! I was thrilled with my wedding hair and makeup from Kate Johnson Artistry (I worked with Kate and Chris). Kate was easy to work with and communicate with throughout the planning process because she was very quick to respond to emails. She made me feel very comfortable at my trial and I was so impressed by how quickly she can work. I was so happy with the way both my hair and makeup turned out on my wedding day. Even though my hair was gathered in a soft curls in a loose way to the side, it stayed perfectly in place throughout the whole wedding reception. I couldn't believe it when I saw the pictures. Kate was professional and efficient and made my whole wedding party look great! I would highly recommend her to any bride.
P.S. She also did an excellent job on a spray tan before the wedding!

I, along with my mother, had our hair and makeup done for my wedding. When I told Kate what type of makeup/hair style I was looking for she knew exactly what I was thinking and totally nailed it. Kate was wonderful to work with from the beginning. She was super responsive and I found her prices to be very reasonable for on-site services. I worked with Carla for my trial and day-of look. She was easy to talk to and made my inspiration photos come to life. We tweaked a couple things after we were done with the trial and it all turned out perfect on the big day. I even arranged for Kate to get me extensions that ended up matching perfectly with my hair. Carla and Darlene showed up on time and ready to work. They were super accommodating, made everyone feel at ease AND made everyone look amazing! Darlene was able to take everyone's hair inspiration pictures and make them a reality. I cannot recommend Kate, Carla and Darlene enough. They helped make everyone feel gorgeous and that's what it was all about.

Carla from Kate Johnson Artistry did my hair and make-up for my wedding and I could not be more pleased! My make-up was flawless- it looked natural glam in person and glamorous in the photos! I'm normally not a huge make-up person and was worried about looking over-done, but Carla made sure that didn't happen. My hair was also fabulous- exactly what I wanted! I had my hair and make-up done at 10:30am and at 1am they were still perfect- no smudges, no fading, it looked like I had just touched it up! Thank you, Carla, for making me so beautiful on my wedding day! My one recommendation- when I did my trial, I tried two different lip colors and Carla told me to text her two weeks before the wedding with my preference so she could pick up a lipstick for me so I could replenish througout the day. With all that was going on leading up to the wedding, I forgot to text her my color choice! Make a note on your calendar to follow-up with Carla, or whoever your stylist is, or you may forget like I did. Thankfully, Carla let me have her sample so I could touch-up.

I could not have asked for a better team than Kate Johnson Artistry! She and Rachel were amazing, making sure that each of my girls felt beautiful, our mom's were relaxed, and we were all laughing! Honestly, they were a dream to work with - quickly responded to phone and email, adjusting for more girls, and working with a variety of personalities. Their product is also top-notch - 90 degree day in Chicago and my makeup didn't budge an inch through two hours of photos, eating, and dancing. I loved their product so much I ordered some for use at home..its THAT good! Thank you Kate so much for making me feel like I was the most beautiful I could have ever been on my big day!

I had an AMAZING time with Chris , Zee and Claudia from Kate Johnson Artistry. As a girl with fair skin and freckles, I initially had some reservations with air brushed make up ( I don't tend to wear much on a daily basis ) but Chris absolutely WOW'd me. I used Kate Johnson to provide hair and make-up services for myself and my 2 bridesmaids. Bev Esquivel from the team ended up being my stylist for the day and she was incredible. She was able to listen to what I wanted along with offering suggestions and input that resulted in the perfect look for my wedding day. She provided a very thorough trial and took great notes so that she was able to replicate that look exactly on the wedding day - no surprised! The hair and make-up stayed put and looked great throughout the whole day - even though I spent a large portion of the reception on the dance floor! Can't thank Kate and Bev enough!

Our experience working with Kate and Darlene was wonderful! Can't recommend enough! From the first consultation I felt like I was dealing with friends. They were so personable and put my worries at ease about booking on-call services (I had a bad experience with a different company in the past). The day of the wedding went by so smoothly. It was a pleasure to work with Kate. She set me up with a member of her team to do my wedding makeup as well as my bridesmaids and my mom. The quality was amazing! We were all so happy with the job Rachel did. I would highly recommend this team!

I cannot say enough about Kate Johnson and her team. I know that reviews helped me decide on her and I hope this one helps other people book her as well!

First, she was the most responsive of any of my vendors by a mile. She would respond to my e-mails within the hour, never made me feel like I was nagging her with silly questions or time/location changes for different things. She was always friendly and professional. She would also meet in the evening (like for my trial) so I didn't have to take off from work.

The hair and makeup trial was such a huge relief, and Kate really takes the position that she is there to make you happy. She will not be offended if you don't love something--she encourages you to change things until you are satisfied. I didn't need to feel guilty at all e-mailing her weeks after my trial and saying "could we tweak this and that?"

On the day of the wedding Kate and her team were such a joy. They were right on time, had everything they needed set up in no time and added great energy and conversation while we all got ready. And the work they did was wonderful. Everyone was so happy with how they looked, and everyone's hair and makeup (including mine) lasted all night. I really felt that my hair and makeup looked as good at 10 pm as they did at 1pm.

I cannot say enough about what a great vendor Kate is--highly recommended!

Kate is AMAZING! I had Kate do my makeup for my engagement photos last year and my wedding makeup just 2 weeks ago and it was the best experience! She is so fun and sweet, and her talent and passion for all things makeup is incredible! Kate came to my hotel suite on my wedding morning prompt and excited for me, she made all the girls (moms too) feel so comfortable, even those that are not that into makeup or have never worn lashes. I loved my makeup so much and get excited about all the photos coming in from the wedding because my look was exactly what I dreamed it would be! Since my wedding was a long hot day of photos before the ceremony started, we asked Kate to stay around for the day to touch up me and my bridesmaids throughout the day until the reception (I'm a crier so I was worried about being a mess by the time of the reception..but my makeup was so well waterproofed that nothing was smudged at all) and she even helped me switch from my veil to putting in my special hair vine I wore for the reception (she does hair too!). Kate even offered me and my girlfriends to do a complimentary makeup class with her soon, which we are all soo excited about! I will definitely be using her for events in the future or even just a special night out! :)

I have no idea where to start when it comes to Kate! Her work, professionalism, attention to my needs, personality, was absolutely more than I could have ever expected. She made me and my maid of honor and my mother feels like queens. We LOVED the makeup work that she did and can't wait to use her again for another event. If you're looking for someone for your wedding events (or any other makeup needs for that matter), do NOT look any further. She'll make you feel fabulous and as a bride, what else could you want. Thank you Kate, from the bottom of my heart. I loved all my looks, it was truly special to work with you.

I could not have been happier with the makeup services provided by Kate Johnson Artistry on my wedding day. My makeup artist, Chris, was the absolute best. Not only did he make me look the best I've ever looked on my wedding day, but he was extremely calming throughout the process and made it so much fun! He was generous and flexible regarding the makeup trial and exceeded all expectations on our wedding day. All of my bridesmaids, flower girl, and our mothers were so happy with how Chris' did their makeup. I would highly recommend Chris for any bride and her bridal party!

Amazing! Amazing! Amazing!

Kate and her team did such an awesome job making my bridesmaids beyond stunning. They also were so much fun to hang out with in our bridal suite, giving me reason to giggle and stay that much more calm!

I was referred to Kate through by our venue coordinator. From the moment I emailed her I knew it was a good fit. I lived in Michigan, but we were getting married in downtown Chicago. She returned my emails fast. When it came down to my trial, I planned a weekend to come to the city. The day of my appointment, Kate's studio building was having work done so she offered to come to my hotel! It worked out perfectly! Then on the day of our wedding Kate and her assistant were at our venue on time and had a great rotation. She was awesome! She was even flexible with the millions of changes my family wanted! The runaway bride package was perfect. We had a slight misunderstanding so she wasn't able to come with us to our photos. She did stay until after the ceremony and put my hair up so it wouldn't get all gross and sweaty while we were dancing!

Kate and her assistant Liz were awesome from day one. I was planning my wedding from Boston so scheduling a trial was a challenge - they were super flexible with my crazy schedule and so understanding when I had to reschedule. At the triaI felt immediately at ease with both Liz and Kate and was blown away by their skills!

On the day of the wedding they arrived on time and had a really awesome and efficient system going. I had five people other than me getting hair and makeup done and they got through everyone in plenty of time. They were such a cool and relaxed presence in the space and we all had a lot of fun chatting with them. They did a great job of listening to what the girls wanted and executed it flawlessly.

Kate and Liz went totally above and beyond on the day of my wedding! They gave me a little goodie bag with a lip gloss for retouching, which I was very grateful for as the night went on. Liz put on my veil, and Kate even helped me get into my dress! When I finally saw myself in the mirror I was totally blown away by how striking yet natural the makeup Kate applied looked, and how perfectly Liz executed what I envisioned for my hair.

With both amazing service and incredible skills, I would highly recommend Kate and her team of artists for any bride out there. I will be recommending their services to all of my friends and family!

I am so happy that I chose Kate Johnson for my wedding make-up. Kate is so sweet and great to work with, plus my make-up was flawless and lasted the whole day. I was so happy with how my make-up came out it's no wonder she was recommended to me by both my hair stylist and also the wedding coordinator at my reception venue. She did my make up plus the 8 girls in my bridal party and everyone looked gorgeous. She was very helpful and accommodating. She helped me pick out eye shadows and lip glosses for my bridesmaids which was super helpful. Thanks Kate, you really did make me feel perfect on my wedding day :)
