Incredible work
We could not have asked for a better experience with Kate. She kept things fun and professional, knew how to keep the energy up for group photos, and absolutely nailed the lighting at our venue. I absolutely love our photos, especially getting them only 2 weeks after our wedding (perks of a March wedding). If you’re considering Kate and Dom, you can’t go wrong!!! -

I worked with Dom & Gabby on a beautiful April 2026 wedding. As a day-of coordinator, a strong photography team can make all the difference for a seamless day!
Communication was quick and helpful. On the wedding day, their team brought the best energy. They were easy to work with and genuinely so fun to be around. Dom took control of all the posed and formal photos with ease, even with a large wedding party. He provided great instruction and photo ideas.
And the professionalism? So, so good. They know exactly what they’re doing and carry it with so much confidence and grace.

The Perfect Photographers for Every Occasion
My husband and I have used Kate and Dom as our photographers for our engagement, wedding, maternity, and infant photoshoots, plus a couple of for-fun sessions. My favorite thing about them is the direction they give. They know just how to tell you how to pose so you look natural, and they keep it so light and fun. I also love that within a day or two of the photoshoot, they already have a sneak peak ready to view online of their favorite shots! I can't say enough great things about them. They are my go-to professional photographers for every occasion. -

Amazing experience working with them
I highly recommend using Kate Holt Photography for your photos! The photos turned out absolutely amazing, even better than I could have imagined! The pictures that Kate took really captured all the joy from our wedding day and turned it into beautiful photos. We got so many photos back from our wedding day and they are all so beautiful.
For the first meeting, I met with Dom, who was professional, very nice, and organized. He showed me past weddings they took pictures at, and explained the whole process. He explained all the photography options and pricing as well as the contract. They are very good at making you feel at ease during the whole wedding planning process. You can trust them to know what they are doing, and they are so helpful.
Kate was our photographer and she was absolutely amazing. She was very professional and organized. She was so amazing during the wedding day, she was so friendly, which made taking photos feel easy. She was so good at posing us and made it feel so natural. She even scouted out, the morning of the wedding, some absolutely amazing places to take pictures at.

Kate sent me a welcome gift with all kinds of neat things to help plan and organize the wedding! Above and beyond in every way and the cost was well worth what we received from them. Kate and Dom went above and beyond for us as soon as we booked them. Their constant communication and updates throughout the year leading up to the wedding were incredibly helpful. On the day of they showed up early and got right to work with the details photos. They remained calm, cool, and professional during moments of chaos and family drama. They were essential to directing traffic and keeping the timeline. During the ceremony and reception they got any amazing photos of everyone. They were stealthy- positioning themselves where they wouldn't get in the way. Everyone attending made sure to tell me how kind and helpful they were throughout the night.

After comparing online portfolios of seemingly countless photographers from the west coast all the way to Miami, we decided to attend a wedding expo in Portland where we met Kate. Her printed catalogues were very impressive, and captured the sense of magic we were after. As an art director I was looking for someone with an advanced sense of color correction and understanding of lighting, especially as we are an interracial couple and wanted to make sure the skin tones of our diverse guests were celebrated. We scheduled a virtual meeting afterward where we discussed all of the details, and Kate was very helpful in helping us solidify our vision for the day, and the overall feeling we wished to portray.
Both our wedding ceremony and reception took place outdoors in a heavily wooded venue in the Columbia River Gorge with many areas of shade, full-sun, and dappled light, and to add to the complexity our wedding color palette included virtually every color of the rainbow, so we knew capturing everything in such conditions was not a small feat.
On the wedding day Kate arrived at our airbnb to take candid getting-ready photos, then met us at the venue and proceeded to go above and beyond in every way, capturing everything from the smallest details of our tables capes to broad expanses of the sprawling venue, to intimate and meaningful moments between us and our guests. She was SO professional and friendly and it was immediately apparent that she was a master at her craft, adapting to changing situations and encouraging everyone (including the hard-to-corral youngest few of the wedding party!) the whole time. We had settled on a certain number of hours, but as the night went on and the celebration continued Kate kindly stayed on to continue photographing on an hourly basis which we were very thankful for. The results speak for themselves. Our gallery absolutely blew us away! Everything from our guests, the venue, the decor colors, and of course ourselves turned out so beautiful and vibrant, while still managing to retain a delicate and premium quality. As we looked through the photos, seeing the day for the first time through the eyes of a guest, we were moved to tears. We can honestly and full-heartedly recommend Kate to anyone who doesn’t want to take chances on one of the most important days of their lives. You will not be disappointed, just take our advice and go with this astounding professional. Thank you so much Kate for providing us with a lifetime of memories. -

There are so many things to consider when searching for a wedding photographer. It can be a daunting decision to make. But from our first virtual meet, it was clear that Kate Holt Photography would provide everything from confidence to professionalism. They were communicative every step along the way, and made the whole process so easy. We loved their bright, natural aesthetic and their amazing team of photographers.
On our wedding day, Gabby was our main photographer, and Noah supported the photo booth. And both were such a pleasure to work and coordinate with. Gabby is so nice, and she makes the difficult job of directing people fun and inviting. Between our free engagement photos and our wedding photos, we had a great time working with her, and the quality of her shots were 5 stars. Noah kept the energy going at the photo booth all night, which is not an easy task either!
The turnaround of photos was unbelievably quick! We got our sneak peek set in just a few days, and the full set not long after that. I would confidently recommend this team to anyone looking for that special photographer for their special day. Thank you to the Kate Holt team for capturing ours! -

I met Kate and Dom at the wedding expo center and absolutely loved the two of them. They stood out amongst the other photographers with how friendly, nice and how willing they were to work with us. Dom helped with figuring out the perfect package for us considering we were doing a microwedding (20 people). I was bummed at first to hear they were booked for our wedding date but then we got to meet one of their other photographers, Noah. He was so friendly, nice, and easy to work with. We bonded when we took engagement photos. He made taking photos super easy which was great considering we are not the most photogenic couple. To top it all off, right after we booked with Kate Holt Photography, they sent us a package with a wedding planner, vow books, and tips/tricks for wedding planning. It was super awesome and helpful.
Then we were lucky enough to get to work with Noah for our wedding day. He was the ultimate hype man which I really needed. He helped relieve the anxiety of my husband and I. He also helped coordinate a lot of the small details with our venue manager. He shielded me from being seen by my husband before our first look as well as when some of my guests started to arrive. He helped my mom bussel up my dress when my mom could not figure it out. Our family and friends were all extremely impressed with Noah as well. I can’t say thank you enough. Noah’s extremely talented and I hope to work with him again in the future. I just got a sneak peek of the photos and I'm already in love with the photographs he took. I can't wait to see more! -

Best Photographer Ever!!
Kate has been a dream come true!! One of the biggest priorities for our wedding was a good photographer, and Kate went above and beyond to make our whole engagement and wedding experience amazing. Not only did she deliver breathtaking photos in a timely manner, she was also there for us for all things wedding planning, even helping us put together our wedding day timeline and getting to the venue early to find the best photo spots. A perfect choice!
We first met Kate after winning an adventure engagement photoshoot. I had followed her on Instagram for a while and was a big fan of her light and bright style. She and her husband Dom were so wonderful to work with, we couldn’t imagine having our wedding with any other photographers! My husband was worried about feeling comfortable in front of the camera, but Kate was always excited to see us and gave great tips about posing. She made us feel and look beautiful and comfortable the whole day. We couldn’t wipe the smiles off of our faces and were able to concentrate on our happiness rather than worrying about how our pictures would turn out. She captured every detail to perfection, so we can relive the little things we worked hard to plan or didn’t have time to focus on. Kate has a lot of resources for couples and is extremely responsive via email. She returned our sneak peeks even faster than normal, at the request of my mother-in-law, just so she could show her friends who were unable to come to the wedding. Additionally, our whole gallery was sent to us in just a few weeks! That’s faster than most people get their first pictures back! Kate and Dom really went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and special. We heartily recommend Kate Holt photography to other couples! -

Best photographer I could have asked for!!
Kate is incredible!! She has such talent for capturing beautiful moments and has a professional process from start to finish. She and her team are such a pleasure to work with. She’s a pro through and through- she thinks of every detail and has so many helpful tips to plan your special day right down to timeline templates. She coordinates with videographers and other vendors seamlessly. She took the stress out of wedding planning and was so kind when I was worried about all the minor details. She’s so experienced, she helped me feel confident that the day would go exactly as I planned, and it did!
She photographed our engagement & family photos ahead of our wedding and then our wedding. We couldn’t be happier with our photos and the experience. She even got my 8 year old stepson to have a natural smile and he loved working with her! We got a Photo Booth for the wedding which was such a hit and made a great guest book! I interviewed so many photographers and no one came close to the gorgeous photos and professional process that Kate has. We can’t recommend Kate Holt Photography enough! Kate and her associate photographer Gabby were absolutely incredible to work with for our wedding.
We initially selected Kate Holt Photography for their emphasis on natural light and posing, but in the end we were even more impressed by how easy it was to work with them! Kate’s professionalism was evident from the first zoom call - she is highly organized and efficient, but also took plenty of time to get to know us before helping us shape our vision of the day.
During our wedding, everyone felt comfortable around Gabby’s friendly and gentle demeanor. She is also a clear communicator who projected calm and confidence in helping us make on-the-fly adjustments to our photography schedule. If you end up choosing Kate Holt Photography for your wedding, you should definitely ask if Gabby is available!
The turnaround speed on our wedding photos was incredible - sneak peak photos within three days and the full gallery a week later. The photos are beautiful and captured the warm summer garden-party feel of our wedding perfectly. Thank you Kate and Gabby! -

From the very first virtual FaceTime meeting with Kate Holt, I absolutely knew she was the one! Not only did I instantly click with her bubbly personality, but also just adored her style of photo journalism and use of natural light. It was also a no brainer to add her husband, Dom, be a part of the photography team. Before my husband and I first met Kate for engagement photos, we were nervous because we had never done professional photos before. Kate immediately put us at ease and we laughed our way through an incredible engagement session. In the months leading up to the wedding, Kate was incredibly professional, putting together a photo timeline and doing several more FaceTime calls with us. By the time we were up at Silcox Hut for the wedding, my husband and I were both completely at ease and so excited to have Kate and Dom be part of our day! They captured our wedding beautifully, leaving both of us giddy when they delivered 100+ phenomenal “sneak peek” pictures within a week of our wedding date. Then, we were equally as giddy after receiving our full gallery within two months. We have been floored by the way Kate and Dom so perfectly captured our day in a way that was even better then we imagined! This is a sentiment echoed by all of our friends and family — even my youngest brother who asked if I thought the Kate Holt Photography team would be willing to capture his wedding when that date one day comes. Kate Holt Photography did an amazing job with our wedding photos. Both Kate and Dom are super lovely, kind, skilled, and have a wealth of knowledge on everything wedding related.
All photos were delivered either on or ahead of schedule and their communication was constantly excellent. We did the 8 hour package, and we received 140 photos in our sneak peak album, then well over a thousand in the full album. When we showed friends and family our sneak peak album, they went, "Wait, this is just the sneak peak? You got so many, and so fast!"
They go above and beyond and I'm pretty sure that's the main reason we ended up (amazingly) slightly ahead of schedule the day of. And the photos are amazing quality!
Everyone was really impressed with the veil-thrown-in-the-air photo, and we really appreciated the energy and expertise they provided with the wedding party portraits. Kate and Dom truly think of everything. They were a great team and we are so glad we trusted Kate Holt Photography with this important part of our big day. -

My wife and I found Kate Holt Photography through wedding wire. We scoured the internet reading about different photographers and looking at their photos to see who would be a good fit. Once we met Kate we instantly knew she would be our photographer. Kate is so friendly and definitely knew how to make me and my wife feel comfortable behind the camera. She helped us plan our engagement session and find the perfect location to take all the photos. She took the time to talk to us about how to pose and I really appreciate her walking us through every step. Kate sent us tons of resources throughout our time working together and even helped us find a florist! On our wedding day Kate fit right into our small 18 person wedding. She took gorgeous pictures of our family and captured amazing moments between my wife and I. Kate is a bright light of energy and her fun personality is contagious. My wife and I spent our small reception talking to Kate like she was a close family friend that we have known for years. After the wedding was over Kate traveled to another location to capture photos of just my wife and I. Kate always has amazing ideas on how to pose and where to move to capture that beautiful moment. Kate also loves a good adventure and help me and my wife climb down a hillside to stand at the base of a waterfall to capture some jaw dropping images. I truly can’t thank Kate enough for everything she did for us to make our wedding day feel perfect. We will definitely be working with Kate again for any and all our photography needs. On our wedding day it got a quite a bit rainy but that did not stop Kate! She was very professional, and it was clear she was experienced at shooting weddings, so much so that even some of our guests came up to us to complement Kate and how she was capturing the event. Kate Holt is World Class!!!
Kate Holt Photography is one of the best decisions we made for our entire wedding. From the very first video call we had with Kate, we knew there was a great connection, but after spending time with Kate & Dom on our engagement shoot in the San Juan Islands, there were zero doubt in our minds, we had found THE best photographers for our wedding. Best part was they became our friends and made us extremely comfortable with the whole process (which can be a bit awkward at first). In fact, my husband now thinks he’s the star of every picture (little does he know, our dog Lola steals the show every time). First off, the planning process is very smooth as Kate is on top of it. I am a very organized and detailed oriented bride with quite the Type-A personality so Kate was perfect for me because she is extremely organized, told me everything she needed and had a very detailed timeline to keep everyone on track the day-of the wedding. My wedding planner even shared that Kate was spot on and a joy to work with, which she said is not always the case when it comes to photographers because everything is usually running behind. In fact, the family pictures after the wedding ran very smoothly, which I did not expect: Kate would get everyone into place and take the picture while Dom would run around and get the next few people needed for the following shot. Again, super organized to keep things running smoothly so people could mainly enjoy the party. We had a very traditional southern wedding with 5 days worth of events (Golf Tournament, Welcome BBQ, Bridal Shower, Rehearsal Dinner, Wedding & Farewell Brunch) on the outskirts of Nashville, TN, so we flew Kate & Dom out with us. No one had more energy then them! (We actually have had no idea how they did it because we were exhausted.) They were extremely engaged from the moment they arrived, were non-stop shooting but it didn’t feel like they were even there, and produced incredible pictures. They never said no to anyone in my family (or friends) who would ask if they could take a certain picture, which I know people really appreciated, and yet somehow were also able to be right there to capture truly special candids, and all the right moments. They even turned our sneak peak shots around in 5 days, which I’m still completely floored they were able to pull off. The Best of the Best
My husband & I met Kate in March of 2020 via Skype (thanks COVID) and we IMMEDIATELY hit it off. As soon as we met, we knew that we didn’t need to interview anyone else, she was a perfect fit. Throughout our first meeting and planning our engagement session, she was in constant communication and really, truly made us feel at ease. She didn’t feel like “our photographer,” she really felt like a friend, and that’s a wonderful quality to have for such important events! During booking, we met Dom too and though we didn’t work directly with him, he was amazing at helping us to book everything and design our photo booth prints!
During our engagement shoot, Kate made us feel so unbelievably comfortable in front of the camera. My husband and I are huge jokesters and were convinced that we couldn’t take serious pictures that looked decent. Kate made them more than decent- they were literally everything we could’ve ever wanted. We’re still obsessed with them!
Fast forward to our wedding in October 2021. Between engagement pictures and the wedding, she would always check in just to see how we were doing or if she could assist with anything. She helped us lay out a timeline for the day of (super helpful and we stuck to it!) and really took all of the stress off of us. When the morning finally came, she showed up early (thankfully!) and got straight to work. Again, she made all of us feel super comfortable and truly like I was hanging out with a friend. Kate even spent a majority of the reception helping me to keep my dress bustled. She made me feel beautiful and so important during our day. She made sure to be everywhere at every second and caught every shot that we wanted and more. She did so, so much for us during our wedding that I’m not sure it would’ve gone as smoothly without her. On top of that, our pictures turned out perfect.
This review is all over the place, but I genuinely have no words to describe how much I recommend working with Kate and how truly amazing she is. I still stay in contact with her and fully intend on booking her for future events. Don’t even question it- book Kate and your big day (whether it’s a wedding, engagement, or family pictures) will be perfect. -

It was an absolute delight working with Kate. We had to cancel our wedding plans for May of 2020 and Kate was extremely understanding and accommodating. When we finally decided on a date, we had some doubts as to whether we could use our original location as a setting for our pictures, but Kate went above and beyond to scout for alternative locations. We ended up taking our photos at the original location and they turned out amazing. Everyone compliments our wedding photos because they turned out so good. The fact that Kate is a dream to work with AND affordable is just *chefs kiss.* Having perfect wedding photos is something my husband and I will treasure forever. Where do I even start? I contacted Kate through The Knot and was pleasantly surprised by her speedy response time. My husband, Kyle, and I were (and still are) low budget ($8,000 wedding or less) and didn’t think we had even close to enough funding to afford Kate’s skills. We were pleasantly surprised to find out her services were within our budget of spending. Though we first met through video chat (thanks covid), we could tell she had a great personality and was the right fit for us. Months passed and we finally met for our engagement session at our favorite fishing spot, Benson Lake. I, like always, was extremely nervous. She and her husband, Dom, took time to get to know us, tour our location, and help calm my nerves down. I had never been professionally photographed and didn’t normally like having my photo taken, but she made it feel like second nature. Honestly, I was too busy enjoying time with Kyle to notice the camera. The prompts she used were so creative and laughter-inducing. Our photos came out wonderfully and got to us in a timely manner. Plus, Kate took the time to video chat with us to explain the different features of our virtual gallery and a run-down of all the features.
Two weeks before our wedding date, my grandfather passed away. Wedding planning is normally extremely stressful, and this just ramped up the stress because we were grieving and needing to get things done but not wanting to. We expressed our stress to Kate and she offered to help in many ways, including a secret signal to tell her we needed a break from the event, and that she would ensure that happened.
The day of, Kate and Dom were amazing. Things were hectic - lots of people, lots of things coming in and leaving the venue, people that weren’t exactly on time and so many more crazy things that happen on wedding days. Kate and Dom worked hard together to make sure everything on our photo checklist was covered and had been captured. In our sneak peek photos, they managed to photograph moments I didn’t even know happened and wouldn’t have known had they not been there.
Kate and Dom have been extremely busy this year with all of the rescheduled weddings, sometimes having 10 weddings in 6 days. Yet, they still managed to get our photos to us in an extremely timely manner. Our photos are gorgeous and we have zero regrets about hiring Kate & Dom as our photographers. I highly recommend Kate Holt Photography to anyone interested in high quality service from down to earth people, where you’re treated as an individual/person/couple and not just a source of income. Her and Dom are extremely talented in what they do and you can tell they love being photographers. They were both so much fun to be around with smiles wider than it seemed their faces could handle. We are beyond thankful to have had Kate Holt Photography capture our wedding day.

Awesome photographer, no regrets
Kate and her assistant did an awesome job with my wedding photos. Kate went above and beyond to help with putting on the boutonniere for the groom and groomsmen, ring bearer, my brother and also helped my mom to put her corsage. I have no regrets on hiring Kate. When our former photographer was unable to provide photography at our new 2021 date, we frantically searched the internet for a new vendor. We are so so grateful we found Kate Holt Photography! From the start, Kate was incredibly responsive, so friendly, and down-to-earth. We could feel her passion for photography and her interest in building relationships with her clients. She instantly put us at ease with our initial meeting, and we knew she was the right person to photograph our wedding.

Kate is upbeat and great to work with.
We met with a few photographers when trying to decide and chose Kate because of her positivity and skill. We are so glad we did. She is also a fellow climber and loved brainstorming great ways to do a climbing wedding related photo shoot.
Our photos turned out amazing. She was really flexible during the whole process and took our feedback (I'm in the minority of people that don't love a ton of prep photos). And we had to make a lot of adjustments between January and July due to COVID. Kate not only found us a perfect outdoor venue, but helped us readjust our day for a small outdoor ceremony.
The wedding photography trend seems to be dark and moody these days, but her light filled and bright photos turned out to be just the thing we needed this year. -

I can't say enough good things about Kate! I was drawn to her work because all the photos in her portfolio looked natural, candid and captured emotions - exactly what I was looking for in a photographer. Kate is an AMAZING photographer to work with. From the moment you meet her, her passion for photography is evident, and she will do anything to get the best shot. I first met Kate when I was a bridesmaid in my best friend's wedding and after witnessing her organization and clear passion, I knew I needed her for my wedding! My husband and I are not the most comfortable in front of a camera, but Kate has a gift for making everyone feel relaxed and poses you in a way that feels natural, which we loved! We had a last minute venue change due to Covid-19 and Kate made sure she was in communication with us throughout the entire process. Kate was exceptional!
Kate went above and beyond our expectations for our wedding day. We had not actually met her in person before the big day and when arrived, she was so organized and ready to get started. She socialized with the guests and really made everyone feel so comfortable while taking photos. She listened to everything we wanted, she responded almost immediately to every email we sent and had the unbelievably impressive quality of being exactly where we needed her the whole day. She was invisible until I wanted her and then she was always right next to me.
The pictures she took captured the wedding perfectly. The day went so fast and I was so busy that I looked back and really wanted something to show me what it felt like and her pictures did exactly that. They're beautifully composed and extremely flattering and she somehow makes them all seem candid but so perfect it's as if we were posing. I would recommend her to absolutely anyone, she made everything so easy and blended in perfectly while controlling the crowds as needed. She also took the time to scout ahead a beautiful place for sunset shots for me and my new husband! Our whole experience with her was above and beyond--my husband hates getting his photo taken and never feels flattered by the camera and he raves about her constantly every time it comes up. She was so kind and fun, we had a great time with her all day long.
We also got our photos back so quickly! They're beautifully and subtly edited and she clearly took time with them, but we got back "teasers" a few days after the wedding and the whole batch within two weeks. -

For me, personality was a huge part of finding a photographer. They will be with you throughout your day, watching you get ready, and always around, so getting along is very important. With Kate, I instantly felt like we were friends. She’s also the type to go out of her way (Such as moving heavy cement blocks, or getting in a tree/bush) to get the best shot. It shows in how amazing her photos are. Because of her background in photojournalism, she knows how to capture candid emotion. After I got the teasers from our wedding, I started crying because I never imagined OUR wedding photos could look that amazing, and that we would be the people in such beautiful shots. 10/10 amazing X a zillion would recommend Kate to anyone for any photo needs.

I got married at Mcmenamins Edgefield and if you are familiar with that campus it is quite large. Kate was so willing to run around capturing all the moments I was wanting to have captured. Such as the men playing golf on the field and the ladies getting their hair and makeup done (which was happening at the same time!) Not once did she complain or express doubts. She smiled the whole time and was by my side making sure to get the pictures I was hoping for.
And then I received the pictures and WOW did she follow through. Her artistic talent to sync with my line of vision of the wedding day and actually capture it and produce it has me awestruck.
I would recommend her to EVERYONE! From brides to an unlimited budget and even to brides with a smaller budget. Kate is your girl. She was definitely mine! Thank you so much! -

Gabriel Sent on 10/02/2017When we first began the process of finding a wedding photographer, Kate was timely & responsive to our email communications, and she met us for coffee in our neighborhood to talk about vision, approach, style, preferences, and other parameters that would give us the experience we were looking for. My wife and I were both very specific about the aesthetic we had in our minds (thankfully my wife and I were on the exact same page -- though we both used very different language to articulate our ideas), and we came prepared with other photographer's portfolio examples to illustrate what we hoped to achieve (and we definitely did not like). This included examples from her local competitors, which she was not defensive about whatsoever. In fact, she encouraged us to send her more examples via email once our meeting was over to facilitate a continued refinement of what she was going to try to do for us.
She arrived ahead of schedule, and guided my beautiful and nervous bride and I through an efficient and varied use of the venue space as backdrops of our photos. She was patient, easy to work with, and felt like a pleasant, professional contributor to the wedding proceedings without being obtrusive or awkward in any way shape or form. Finally, she was very gracious in sending us our photos according to our agreed timeframe, and we couldn't be more pleased. -
