  Amazing Photography Team!

  Our experience with Kate has been amazing. First, we found her on Instagram before we got engaged and knew that when the time was right for us, she would be our wedding photographer. Our feelings were confirmed when we had first started the conversation - At first, she wasn’t available the day of our wedding, but she had made room in her schedule to cover our wedding, which we were extremely grateful for. We knew that a couple of days before our wedding, we had to implement a rain plan. Kate had already had a rain photography plan that when we engaged with her on the changes we had to make, she already had ideas for us on alternative locations. She was a proactive partner, which we were grateful for. It definitely rained during our wedding, but because of her planning and Tony’s attentiveness to make sure we stayed on schedule, we never felt rushed with our wedding portraits and family formals. Also, because of her creativity, our wedding portraits so far have turned out amazing. We’ve gotten many compliments on our sneak peaks, and we’re so excited to see the rest and display them around our house.

  Wonderful photographer and a wonderful person!

  Hiring Kate was seriously one of the best choices we could've made for our wedding. From our very first meeting she was so professional, detail oriented, and also very kind and interested in getting to know us. First she shot our engagement photos, and she did such a great job of helping us feel comfortable in front of the camera. We were blown away by how gorgeous the engagement photos were and we knew the wedding photos would be incredible as well. On the wedding day, we had a tight photography schedule involving multiple locations, but Kate and her husband Tony are total pros and kept everything running smoothly and on time! 
  
  Kate is also the most prepared person I've ever met in my entire life- she came to the rescue with a tide pen when I got an unexpected stain on my dress, she had bug spray when we were getting bitten by mosquitos at one of our photo locations, etc! She was always calm and collected, which was really helpful to have her as a calming presence on such a busy and exciting day. 
  
  We recently got our sneak peek photos back and we are just blown away. They are absolutely stunning and we can't wait to see the rest. Thank you so much Kate and Tony for making our wedding day absolutely unforgettable!

  A masterful visual storyteller and your ultimate hype queen!

  At least in our experience, photographer can be one of the most difficult vendors to find—they play such a huge role on your wedding day, they can make up a large part of the budget, and most of all, you’re entrusting them to capture some of your most important life memories. Thus, you need someone that you not only like, trust, and feel comfortable around, but also someone whose artistic vision you believe in and whose images you will treasure for many years to come.
  
  Luckily, with Kate Ann Photography, you get all of this and more. From the moment you have your first consultation with Kate, you immediately get the sense that she is energetic, curious, and on your team 100%. Her photography philosophy is not just to take surface-level, “pretty” photos (though her images are stunning)—it’s to genuinely capture the beauty of your wedding day love stories, which includes you, your partner, and all your guests/loved ones.
  
  What we loved most about working with Kate was her artistry, commitment to authenticity, presence, and preparation. As others have mentioned, Kate understands that being in front of the camera is not natural for most people, so she does everything in her power to help you feel relaxed, engaged, and confident. She also invests an immense amount of time and energy into understanding who you/your partner are and what’s important to the two of you, so she can best bring your story to life—for example, she will want to know what your special songs are, whether there are any inside jokes that never fail to make you laugh, who the most important people in your life are, and what kind of images you are most excited to have captured (i.e., a private moment with your sister while getting ready, getting your groove on on the dance floor, family formals with your found family, etc.). Then, on your wedding day, she and Tony come armed not only with a plan for how to put this knowledge to good use (they had a playlist of our favorite songs and knew the names of all of our wedding party and family members), but also just have the best hype and vibes for your wedding day! All of our friends and family remarked on how much they appreciated Kate and Tony’s positivity, energy, and warmth, especially during more taxing or stressful moments.

  She’s just the best

  I’d recommend kate over and over and over again to anyone! She has a sweet and mellow demeanor, and made my husband and I feel so comfortable in front of the camera for our engagement photos as well as on wedding day. Not only is her work stunning, but we had a storm brewing right before our outdoor ceremony and Kate’s calm and positive presence was everything I needed to shift my own perspective into a positive one. She was able to shift our family formals indoors and I have no doubt they’ll be equally as beautiful and well lit. Her and Tony work wonderfully together and we are so thankful to have had them there on our day.

  Perfect Photographer

  Kate is an absolute delight - neither my husband nor I are very natural in front of the camera, but she did such a great job making us feel extremely comfortable and confident. She delivered over 1550 photos for our wedding (!), and we were stunned by the quality of every single one. Her candids are especially beautiful -- Kate has a true gift in capturing the emotion and joy in everyone's faces. She also is just super fun to have around on the day and during the wedding planning process. She worked seamlessly with our planner and was extremely flexible with us with all of the little needs and requests we had. She also sent us little gifts along our planning journey which really made us feel like she cared about us not just as clients but as people, too (something I know from many friend's photographer experiences is extremely unique). Can't recommend her highly enough - go ahead and book!

  You won't regret booking Kate!

  We absolutely loved working with Kate for our wedding photography. She is incredibly talented, kind, calming, and organized as well. I really appreciated her attention to detail throughout the planning process (about both logistics, as well as getting to know my husband and me!) and how prepared she was with everything, including making sure we had a rain plan at the last minute and helping coordinate a backup destination for our first look photos, even scoping out the location the day before the wedding to make sure we got good shots. The time we spent together for our first look is honestly one of my favorite memories from the day, even though it was totally different than what we had originally planned. Kate pivoted with ease and allowed us to feel calm, happy, and present on our wedding day. Her unique style and intimate connection with couples was what drew me to book her in the first place, and that emotion clearly comes through in the photos she captured. Wedding photography is an investment, and I'm happy to say that we truly felt booking Kate was worth every penny and that we were in good hands throughout the process. We will cherish all the moments and memories she captured for many years to come, and I couldn't recommend her more to future brides. Thank you Kate!!!

Our wedding day was full of emotions, and Kate captured all of them perfectly- from the laughter to the tears. Looking at her photos is like reliving the day itself! We were speechless at how amazing the photos turned out- not cheesy, posed, or stiff at all (that was my biggest fear for wedding photos). Kate is kind, experienced, receptive to requests, and knows how to make you feel comfortable in front of the camera. She and Tony were a great team to work with. We will treasure these images of our celebration with our loved ones for years to come.   Exceeded expectations in every way

  Kate Ann was a delight to work with. From start to finish we felt that Kate truly understood our vision for our wedding day and captured the essence of the day so perfectly. Kate arrived early, left late, and was key to supporting our decision to get a day-of coordinator to support our wedding timeline and ensure that the day went smoothly. The day goes by so quickly, but thanks to Kate's incredible gift, we are left with photos that remind us of the details of the day so vividly.
  Our photos took place in three different indoor settings as well as outdoor portraits and in February, natural lighting can be limited, but she produced incredible images under such a variety of lighting conditions!

  It has been hard to gather the right words to say just how amazing Kate was through out our whole wedding planning process and beyond! From the initial discovery call until now, 5 months from our wedding, she has gone above and beyond. She was so helpful through the planning process with being a great resource and helping with the timeline of the day. The day of, she was impeccable with keeping everything on time and her + Tony were just incredible. We could not have even asked for a more amazing photography duo. Our photos blew us away, all of the emotions rushed back to us while looking through our gallery and I cannot thank Kate enough for capturing all of the memorable moments and allowing us to relive them through her work. I cannot say enough amazing things. I would not not look any further, you will not regret having Kate (+ Tony) be apart of your special day!

We wanted to book a photographer we felt comfortable with and we placed a lot of value on our photos as we knew we would not have a full video of the day. Kate's work really speaks for itself and after viewing her photos and hearing from a friend they had a great experience with her, we wanted to book her quickly. Once we had out first call with Kate, we knew she would be so great to work with! Kate is responsive and made us feel comfortable. She did our engagement photos and she really has a way of capturing the small moments :) For our wedding day, she really valued what we wanted and took time to help us plan out the photos. She is professional and has been doing this for awhile so it was so easy to trust her. Kate and her husband Tony were so organized and made my wedding day go so smoothly.   Best Wedding Photographer Ever!

  I can not say enough wonderful things about Kate! She is very professional and knows how to capture beautiful photographs. She literally stopped traffic to make sure she got the perfect shot. throughout the whole day she was not only taking pictures, but creating the perfect lighting, fluffing my dress, fixing my veil, and pumping me up! She made me feel like the most beautiful bride! She acted as my "wedding bestie" with loads of advice, timeline suggestions, and encouraging words. I cannot recommend her enough.

  I can not say enough wonderful things about Kate! She is very professional and knows how to capture beautiful photographs. She literally stopped traffic to make sure she got the perfect shot. throughout the whole day she was not only taking pictures, but creating the perfect lighting, fluffing my dress, fixing my veil, and pumping me up! She made me feel like the most beautiful bride! She acted as my "wedding bestie" with loads of advice, timeline suggestions, and encouraging words. I cannot recommend her enough.

  We had an amazing experience with Kate Ann and her team! We wanted photos that would feel timeless (not cookie-cutter) and really capture the true emotions and details of our day and they did just that! She goes above and beyond to make sure you get a variety of shots and they truly hustled non-stop on our wedding day.   Dream Wedding Photographer!

  Kate has been my dream wedding photographer forever! I knew when I started creating my budget that she was my number one priority. I could not be more thankful to have her on my wedding team, especially as my wedding had to be rescheduled because of covid-19, and she was so kind and flexible with helping find a new date. She’s been nothing but positive and supportive and I can’t recommend her enough!

  Our experience with Kate went perfectly and we couldn't recommend her enough. We had a somewhat unusual ceremony involving a short hike into a secluded area, which Kate was totally on board with from the beginning.

  The best decision you can make for your wedding!

  Our number one priority when planning our wedding was to have good photographs taken. When we were introduced to Kate's work by several close friends, we knew we had to check her out, and by the time we had finished looking through her portfolio we knew she was The One for us. Working with her was a breeze, and I highly recommend adding on an engagement shoot with her as well- it is a great way to develop a rapport with Kate and get comfortable being behind the camera!
  
  Sadly our April 2020 wedding had to be postponed until May 2022 due to COVID-19, so in the meantime we held a very small elopement ceremony in June. Kate handled all of the ups and downs of our pandemic wedding experience with grace, humor, and empathy. We are so glad we chose her to document both our elopement and rescheduled wedding.

She made everyone feel so comfortable and truly is so kind!   Better Than I Imagined!

  Kate was an absolute joy to work with! I spent months looking for the right photographer and as soon as I saw her website/portfolio I knew she was it!   What I enjoy about Kate is her ability to effortlessly capture intimate moments that not only visually, but emotionally transport me to one of the happiest days of my life. Priceless. I personally have an anxiousness that makes it hard for me to relax in general, let alone in front of a camera, but her gentle presence somehow coaxed from me an album’s worth of authentically beautiful memories of my day. And I had fun!!! Her shooting/editing style has a softness that made the romantic haze that was my wedding day tangible.   You will not regret hiring Kate as your photographer. I seriously keep looking at my gallery from my wedding day and these are the words that I can't stop saying; "Wow! Beautiful! Wow! I love it!" I know I shouldn't be, because I knew she was good, but I was so surprised to see all the amazing, high quality pictures she was able to take on such a crazy and rushed day!

She helped me plan and offered great input with “venue,” florals and other vendors – essentially taking on some of the planner duties! She was such a joy to work with throughout the process – so quick to respond and just so kind during the planning process and on the day of, her energy was unparalleled!
  
  We did a sunrise elopement to grab that stunning morning light, and Kate brought such upbeat and positive vibes. She made our elopement feel so special and fun! We were so at ease with her taking our photos and we couldn’t be happier with the result. When I look back on my wedding album, I’m transported to that morning and am absolutely in love with our photos. We were also lucky to book her husband, Tony, as our officiant and he was just as great to work with – really took the time to learn about our relationship and tailored a personal ceremony for us! And because we are those people to bring our dog to our wedding, he was such a help with dog wrangling for our photos.
