Karen and Gen are THE BEST!!

We absolutely loooved working with Karen and her daughter Gen! They did such a great job, we got our sneak peaks back just within a couple days and they’re beautiful! The quality is amazing, the poses and direction they gave us were great. The coordination through chaotic family photos and wedding party photos went very well. Karen spoke with me multiple times throughout the planning process and helped me create an itinerary and find photo spots. All of her feedback through planning was extremely helpful. They were so friendly and fun throughout the day. They even helped me get my dress on as we were rushing to get to our first look!! You can’t go wrong choosing them to be your photographer, I’m sure glad I found them.

We highly, highly recommend booking her as your photographer!

Karen is fantastic! She did our engagement photos in Sept 2021 and was the photographer at our wedding March 2022. We cannot recommend her enough! She is fun, upbeat, and easy to be around. She directs poses clearly, giving guidance and feedback that lead to neat, natural, candid shots. We were nervous at our engagement shoot but Karen put us at ease and made us feel comfortable and even enjoy the process. By the end we had complete confidence that our wedding photography was in great hands.
Leading up to wedding day, we had a final call, and emailed with Karen several times about details, shot lists, etc. she was always prompt and available.
On wedding day, she arrived on time, was positive and excited for the day. Her daughter Gena assisted and was helpful, attentive and calming as well. They helped us adjust and stick to our timeline through getting ready, first look, couple photos, and family photos all before the ceremony. She had our backs and checked in with how we were doing throughout the day and evening. She went above and beyond our expectations by coordinating with the DJ directly, helping bustle my dress (a few times), and dealing with guest photo requests.
Our family and friends commented on how great she was and we agree! We’ve already received a few sneak peek photos (2 days later!) and they are beautiful! So many good, funny, candid photos and formally posed ones too. We can’t wait to see the rest! Karen helped to make our wedding day easy and we are so happy we found her to be our photographer. The best! We highly, highly recommend booking her as your photographer!

Absolutely Perfect!

We loved working with Karen and Gena! We are very camera-shy people but knew we would want photos from our wedding, so we needed someone who would make us feel comfortable outside of our comfort zone. We are so happy we found Karen! We had a great time doing our engagement shoot with her, and love all of our photos! When illness struck on the day of our wedding and Karen couldn’t be there herself, she still saved the day with her daughter Gena and another photographer (Aaron) who did a fantastic job! Gena made sure we had all the shots that we wanted and kept us having fun all day. Our photos are absolutely wonderful. Karen and Gena are the best!

Absolutely Wonderful!

We hired Karen and Gen for our engagement and wedding pictures. In short, they were AMAZING. Planning a wedding is stressful enough, and with them it was one less thing to worry about. They were so fun, easy going, professional, and really made it easy to be ourselves around them. They made sure we had a friendship through it all, I had no issues asking for anything and I was confident they'd get the shots we'd like. Also being a coronavirus bride, they were so accommodating and flexible, which was truly appreciated!! And the pictures??? Oh my goodness, I literally screamed with joy and sobbed. They were STUNNING. Truly caught the magic of the day. Not one ounce of me regrets booking Karen and Gen, they're a great pair with jaw dropping talent.

Fusion Wedding

I cannot say enough on how great my experience was working with Karen! Karen came to me recommended by another photographer and was just excited as I was to shoot our wedding as we were to have her shoot. My husband and I had a multi-day, multi-event wedding that we aimed to be full of fun, color, and love. Karen understood this vision and, with her lovely second shooter Genevieve, captured these moments. I cannot thank Karen enough for her incredible support leading up to the wedding and her encouragement during the wedding weekend. I highly recommend Karen for any of your photography needs.

From a groom’s perspective

Karen has now taken our engagement photos, wedding photos, & maternity photos. I couldn’t recommend her more. She’s not serious at all— & I love it. She makes you feel comfortable & makes you feel that it’s ok as a male if you’re insecure about taking photos & will help you feel secure by just having fun. Sessions fly by because it’s like you’re just hanging out with a friend. I never thought there would come a day where I didn’t dread getting my pictures taken... but now when my wife tells me we have to get more pictures taken with Karen I look forward to it!

Highly Recommend! My husband and I could not be happier with our wedding and engagement photos that Karen and her team did! In addition to being wickedly talented at what she does, Karen is a great person who is very trustworthy. Our ceremony was outside and Karen got stung by a bee right before the ceremony began. I never knew this until after because she handled it with such grace and the photos turned out absolutely amazing. She doesn't let anything get in the way of doing her job and being creative.

Just a few days after our wedding Karen sent a sneak peek of pictures which was very much appreciated! The one thing I was nervous about was that our room for the reception was too yellow because of the lighting I chose. Karen was able to work her magic and there was no sign of yellow in the photos!

I cannot speak highly enough of Karen, Kamron, and Genevieve. The team at Karen Menyhart Photography was phenomenal and helped contribute to the best day of our lives. We had an unexpected winter wedding complete with rain and snow.. Karen watched the forecast, brought umbrellas, and made sure we still got the outdoor shots that we had so hoped for. Throughout the wedding week she stayed in touch and was such a pleasure to work with. My husband and I really wanted a relaxed presence as a photographer, someone that could reign in the masses but also have fun. Karen did all this and more. She had a blast with the party and when plans had to change due to weather she rolled with it and helped make even better plans!! We are so grateful to Karen and her team for their hard work. AND after working so hard for us the whole day of the wedding, my husband and I are able to look at a sneak peak of photos the very next day. We are amazed! We cannot say enough good things about Karen and her team! She really helped to make our wedding wonderful! From the planning process to the actual day, Karen and her team were so easy to work with. Karen thought of things that I would have never thought of during the planning process. From the day's schedule to the actual places to have photos, there was not a thing to worry about as I knew Karen and her team had everything under control. She even had indoor suggestions and a back up plan for pictures in case of rain. During our wedding, she was always right there ready to capture any part of our day. We never had to think about whether or not we would get a photograph of a special moment. She is so easy to work with and her work is just beautiful! Thank you Karen and your team for helping to make our wedding day so wonderful!

Karen is the best! We highly recommend her to any couple looking to have a fun, easygoing and personalized wedding. She went above and beyond what one thinks of as a photographers job. She even helped tie up our flower girls dress while she was dancing. We enjoyed her and her husbands company so much that at the end of the night we wanted them to stay longer and party with us! I have seen a lot of wedding albums but none seem to capture the emotion of the day quite like Karen. We cannot say enough about how much she meant to us helping to ease nerves and get the best pictures. Karen's photographs brought out our little personality quirks in the best way possible. Honestly, who doesn't want that special touch that shows someone really gets who you and your other half are as a couple? We loved our wedding day and Karen help capure all of our amazing memories to have for a lifetime!

Karen was an absolute dream to work with. From the moment we first talked to her on Skype, we knew we had found someone we would genuinely enjoy spending a day with (and on your wedding day - that is SO important). Karen was full of great advice before and during the wedding, and always made sure that we were happy and comfortable.

We told Karen that while we wanted some formal family photos, the most important thing for us was capturing the real essence of the day - love, family, and fun, in more organic photos. She totally got us - and the photos prove it. They are absolutely stunning with brilliant colour, and we have gotten so many compliments already - and that's just based on a few "sneak peeks" (which were available only a day after the wedding - incredible!)

Karen and her assistants were absolutely amazing! She was so easy to work with and fun to be around and made the engagement shoot and wedding shoot enjoyable and exciting! On the wedding day she made everything seem calm and worked well with our schedule! We could not have asked for more All of the pictures turned out gorgeous and we have been so happy with everything. I couldn't have imagined our wedding day without having Karen. From day one when we called her to discuss wedding pictures she was energetic, excited and very very easy to work with. She was well organized on the big day and had a great plan of action. After the ceremony the clouds rolled in and large spurts of downpours threatened to delay and cancel all of our photo opportunities, but Karen was able to call an audible and quickly put together an even better plan to deal with Mother Nature. She was actively engaged throughout the entire day, but at the same time she was a fly on the wall and was barely noticeable. Bottom line; she was a Stud! I would recommend her to anyone and everyone that needs the perfect wedding day photography.

Karen was professional, relaxed, attentive and creative. She made our outdoor wedding with little time and space in between the ceremony and reception something grand and was able to capture unique and beautiful shots. She worked with our schedule in the months leading up to the wedding as we lived out of town and was so responsive and easy to get ahold of. Karen's passion for people and photography shows in her work and I would reccomend her to anyone!

Karen was awesome from the first meeting through the day of our wedding (5/28/16)! She was organized, on-time, and had a great grasp on the pictures we were looking for.I loved that the photos do not look staged, fake, or cliche - she created awesome images that captured the beauty of our location and the excitement and romance of the wedding day.

She was very patient and professional and went above and beyond! We received our sneak peeks in 2 days and my wife and I couldn't be happier. Thank you again Karen!

Karen is such an amazing photographer! She was there the entire day and took amazing pictures. Once the formal family and friends pictures were done, we scarcely noticed her taking candids around the dance floor. Everyone commented how nice and professional she was. We are incredibly glad we found her and hired her for our wedding. She was absolutely the right person for the task!

It was a pleasure working with Karen. She was flexible and easy-going but also provided the structure that we needed to make our day go as smoothly as possible. I first met Karen at the Today's Bridal Show at the IX center in 2014. There were so many photographers there, but Karen's pictures just stood out too me and my fiance. We were planning a Halloween wedding and Karen's eyes lit up! She told us how much she loved Halloween and said she would love to shoot our wedding. It didn't take long for us to make our decision to book Karenas our photographer, it was one of the best decisions that we made in regards to our wedding. Karen makes everything so much fun. We had a blast during our engagement shoot. She has an eye for catching those small moments that capture the essence of our relationship as well as our individual personalities. Our wedding was out of this world!Karen had so many suggestions and great ideas for pictures. One of the best things about her is how laid back she is. She made sure to get those great shots, but also allowed us to be in the moment and be involved our wedding. She also did a boudoir shoot for me as a gift for my future hubby. She made it so fun and comfortable--needless to say, the pictures knocked his socks off!! Karen was always available to answer any questions that we had and was very flexible as far as financial matters go. A great photographer is such an important piece of the whole wedding process and there is no one better to shoot your wedding than Karen and her team. We got so many compliments on our pictures as well as the photographer!!!! Absolutely the best!!

My husband and I were very pleased with Karen, her personality, company, team, and, most of all, her pictures. We had first chosen a different company to do our photography, but they scammed us out of our money. In a way, I'm glad that happened. It led us to Karen which turned out to be 10X's better than that other company probably would have been. On top of her bubbly, positive, down-to-earth and genuinely nice personality, her pictures are beautiful. She's able to capture the happiness and love my husband and I share for each other in each one of her pictures. She's very easy to get along with and goes with the flow, which, as any bride knows, can make a world of difference on your special day.

Let me start out by saying, I normally HATE getting my picture taken. However, with spending so much time recently with Karen and seeing the phenomenal photos she's taken, she's beginning to change my mind. Karen shot both our engagement photos as well as our wedding photos, and they turned out GORGEOUS!!! Karen really took the time to get to know Bryan and I on a personal level and it shows in our photos. My wedding party and the guests at the wedding all commented on how kind and professional Karen and her staff was, as well as saying how impressed they were with the photos they've seen so far.

I would HIGHLY recommend Karen to anyone looking for high quality, low stress, wonderful engagement/wedding photos. She is one of the sweetest people I've met to date and I'm so happy she got to share in our special day!

First, let me start off by saying that Karen is the most amazing, down to earth, creative and funny person ever. She has an awesome team that includes Nick, her awesome assistant and man-love, and her talented daughter, Gena. The first time I met Karen was 2 years ago at a bridal show. I turned a corner and stopped dead where I was to look at these beautiful pictures, full of color, contrast and amazing composition. I walked around her booth and looked at every single one. And they were all perfect. When she came over and introduced herself to me, she asked what my dream wedding would be. I told her it would be Harry Potter themed, and she instantly asked if she could be McGonnagal for me. I was instantly in love with her then, though I didn't book her. I went to another bridal show a couple months later and ran into her again then. She remembered both me and my Man of Honor, Patrick. She picked up talking to me like no time had passed. I had no doubts about her and ended up booking her that day. Through this whole experience, she has answered any question I had, and was willing to do whatever was needed to make things easier on me. I am so glad I met her that day I did, and I would, and plan to, book her for anything I possibly can in the future. My rating out of 10 would have to be a 15, as she totally blew away any expectations I may have had. I promise, you will not be disappointed with her or her gorgeous pictures.

Karen and her team were amazing to work with! From the very first time I met Karen I knew that she was going to be so much fun to work with. She is extremely creative and comes up with amazing ideas. Though she always let me know it was totally okay if I didn't want to use her ideas.. but how could you not want to use her ideas?? She was able to even put my fiance at ease when we did our engagement shoot. (Taking pictures is usually not something he enjoys.)

The weeks before the wedding Karen made sure to check up on me about things. We me again to discuss timelines and she came up with the amazing idea of shooting our wedding photos in a huge local sunflower field! Couple days before she started sharing with me some photos she had done there recently and kept telling me that it would NOT rain bc she said so. And she was right! Day of her and her whole team were amazing to work with. My whole wedding party and my family fell in love with her and we just had such a great time taking pictures in between the ceremony and our reception. The sneaks that I've gotten so far are just amazing.. everyone loves them. Karen was worth every penny that we spent on her. These great photos we will look back on for the rest of our lives. Not only will we remember the best day of our lives partying with our family and friends but we will also remember the great time we had taking them with Karen!

Karen is fabulous! She was professional, bubbly, able to control a large wedding party and do anything to the shot, even if it means laying on concrete! Karen is an absolutely professional and such a fun, kind person. We loved working with her - and so did our friends and family. We had so many people throughout the night come up to us and tell us how much fun Karen was and how cool they thought she was. She did a great job capturing our wedding and we can't wait to share these photos with our family for generations to come. Her pictures are timeless and don't come off as cheesy or hokey at all. They're beautifully shot and truly capture the fun and excitement of our wedding day.

Matt and I are pretty non-traditional but one of the most important things for us was that we absolutely did not want to see each other until I walked down the aisle at our 4:45 p.m. wedding ceremony. Another photographer might have tried to dissuade us from that plan or pushed to do a "reveal" photo earlier in the day, but not Karen. We told her what was important to us and she not only respected that but helped us arrange the day's schedule to ensure that our first glimpse of each other was at the ceremony. She made sure she had multiple cameras on Matt to capture his reaction. She was totally committed to our vision for the day and made sure we got the shots most important to us.

We hope we can work with Karen in the future because just a single day was not enough! Karen and her team are absolutely wonderful and we highly, highly recommend them.

Karen in my opinion is one of the best out there she gives you quality every time. She really has a desire for Photagraphy she is always finding different ways to take pictures that are cool and different. I wouldn't go with anyone else because she makes sure to give you all that she can do!

We hired Karen and her assistants to shoot both our engagement photos and our wedding. Karen and her team did a wonderful job in both the engagement shoot and the wedding. We met with Karen prior to the wedding and she did an excellent job planning and coordinating our wedding day including the preparations and the family photos afterwards. One of the big advantages was having an assistant so time could be divided between the bride and groom and nothing was missed. The day went on without a hitch and Karen did a great job keeping us on schedule and capturing all the little parts of our day (including an impromptu beer run). We found that Karen was able to keep a rowdy bridal party in order which was very helpful. The pictures from the day turned out wonderfully. She quickly got a small batch of sneak peek pictures ready for us and they were amazing. Overall Karen added to the experience at our wedding and truly captured the essence of our wonderful day. I would recommend Karen whole-heartily for your wedding. She was a ton of fun and a pleasure to work with!

Karen was the photographer for my wedding in the Cleveland area and I could not have been happier! Living in North Carolina, planning an out-of-state wedding could have been a lot more stressful than it was had it not been for our vendors. Karen was flexible and made the time to meet with me during one of my trips back to Ohio. She made me feel comfortable being photographed on my wedding day. I wanted to enjoy myself and not feel like we were taking staged pictures the whole time, which is exactly what happened. Her album package deal is also great!

Where to begin...where to begin. Could not imagine my day without Karen, Mara, and Genna there to help! Karen was extremely responsive and easy to work with. She took time to have several meetings with us before the big day to truly capture our personalities, what we want, and areas to take pictures in. She brought many ideas to the table and was open to hear ours. At the end we were able to get the best possible pictures!

Karen truly was able to capture the moments: excitement, love, happiness, and energy of the whole day! She showed up on time, made me feel comfortable instantly, and worked hard all day (including laying down in some dirt for the perfect shot (which it was, it came out gorgeous!). Could not imagine my day without her, if you hire her, you will not be disappointed!! My sister and I both used Karen for our wedding day and we would do it again if we could!

Karen is a phenomenal photographer. We first had an engagement shoot with her in May, which she went above and beyond to plan. She had driven around the area to check out locations and brought props to fit in with our "Up" themed shoot. We got access to our pictures quickly and could not have been more pleased. Our December wedding was even better. We got married on a Saturday, and had many photos to view by Sunday night. Karen and her team did a great job directing photos when needed, and being unobtrusive at other times. They were great to spend the day with, a good mix of easy going and serious, and Karen's genuine excitement throughout the entire day was amazing. Karen is very talented, getting the shot right first instead of going back and editing the photos to get the shot she wanted. She responds quickly to emails, phone calls, and text messages. I would absolutely recommend Karen to anyone looking for a photographer, and a friend has already booked Karen for her own wedding.

Karen was the best part about out day. She was comfortable with us, got amazing shots and went the extra mile. I loved working with her and cannot recommend it speak highly enough. Karen and her daughter Genna are amazing photographers. My Husband and I met Karen at the Bridal IX Show and hit it off right from the start. She was not only very welcoming and bubbly but she had a ton of knowledge on what made a good photo. We wanted a fun, traditional, yet retro wedding and she totally understood what we wanted and captured it. The Menyhart's made us feel comfortable and relaxed through out the wedding day which was very needed in what could have been a very stressful day. Karen was so easy to work with and very professional. We meet in person & talked on the phone prior to the wedding and let her know what we were looking for and our hopes for the day. She made it all happen and the photos we have gotten back so far are amazing! My wedding was just a couple days ago, so we have only seen a few pictures, but the ones we have are great. What to say about Karen... Abso-FREAKING-lutely AMAZING!!!! Karen did the pictures for our wedding this July and I am above and beyond satisfied. The pictures look beautiful, Karen and her assistant have the most adorable and positive personalities, she had great ideas for poses, and she was able to instruct everyone in the posed pictures so that we could get the most in before we had to head in to the reception. I don't think that any words, no matter how positive, could describe Karen... THAT is how amazing she is! Pick Karen and I am willing to bet my life savings that you will not be disappointed. Between the quality pictures you receive, the attentiveness of Karen and Gena, and the price you pay for it all... you 100% hit the trifecta by hiring Karen Menyhart Photography. Hands down. We found our experience with Karen Menyhart Photography wonderful! She really had a way with each of the individuals and made everyone relaxed and in turn they enjoyed the session. Karen photographed my son's out-of-town wedding last May. She was tireless in her pursuit of great shots, both candid and formal. I don't think she sat down once during the entire affair -- wedding and reception! She was accommodating and patient with all of us, from the guests to the bride and groom.
