Amazing job

Beautiful Cake!

I highly recommend Kakes by Katie! Our wedding cake was beautiful and perfect! The detail on the cake was amazing. Our guests all complimented about how great it looked and tasted! If you go with Kakes by Katie you won’t be disappointed!

Amazing cake!!!

Kakes by Katie did a fantastic job with our wedding cake!!! I got a three layer cake with red velvet, almond, and pink champange. Katie was flexible with the guest counts changing due to COVID. We sent her a picture of how we wanted the cake to look and she replicated it exactly the way we wanted it. My guests raved about our cake! We were originally going to the save the top layer for our one year anniversary but we loved the cake so much we ended up eating it already and plan on ordering another cake for our one year. Thank you Katie for your great work!

Great experience!

Katie was amazing! She is such a skilled baker, creating unique and delicious flavors. We wanted a fairly simple 3 tier cake, with each tier a different flavor, and she definitely delivered! Her decorating was simple, tasteful, and just what we envisioned. She delivered and set up the cake for us, and even placed flowers from our florist here and there on the cake and placed our cake topper for us! She truly went above and beyond and created a cake that was both aesthetically pleasing and delicious. The entire process was easy and stress free! Highly recommend!

Beautiful and delicious cake

Katie's two tier cake was beautiful and all our guests raved about how delicious it was. It was so good, we're going to order another smaller version of our cake to have more of it.

Cake for wedding

Katie out did herself for our wedding!!!! The cake was absolutely gorgeous and delicious!! Everyone was raving about how yummy the cake was. I can't wait for her to do our baby shower next ;). 🤗🤗🤗

If you like taste over frills - YES YES YES!!!

My husband and I were so shocked when we tasted Katie's cakes. They are INCREDIBLY TASTY! Cake was soft and the flavors came through. We got a very simple white cake with five tiers and it turned out PERFECT! I have no complaints! The white amaretto cake and the key lime cake were my favorites. We had four different flavors and she was super flexible with what we wanted! Best tasting cake and the most reasonably priced!

Best cake I have ever had

Katie was so kind and easy to work with. She gave me exactly what I wanted. She even went above and beyond to give me my own personal tasting of cakes! My cake was so amazing I couldn’t ask for anything better. It was very simple looking but it’s exactly what I wanted. She even drove all the way out to Gainesville to deliver my cake. Would absolutely recommend!

White Chocolate Cake with Raspberry filling is awesome

A themed wedding can be hard to execute and pinterest can make you feel inadequate when you can't have what you're looking for (that isn't over budget). Katie was able to provide exactly what my daughter in law asked for, delivered within our budget AND WAS FABULOUS!! The cake was delicious, moist and beautifully decorated. Every guest commented on the taste and texture, and really enjoyed it. I highly recommend Katie. She'll even make you sample cupcakes so you can taste test!!

Katie provided a beautiful and delicious cake for my daughters wedding. All the way from the cake tasting appointment through the wedding, Katie provided great customer service and an amazingly delicious cake!! I called Katie about a week before the wedding because I was nervous about the size of the cake. She was so accommodating and agreed to add another layer to the cake to ease this nervous Mother's mind! (And I have to say, there was not any cake left!!) I highly recommend Kakes by Katie for any special occasion cake you may need.

We met Katie at our venue's catering/tasting event, where we sampled some delicious mini white chocolate cupcakes. We planned on ordering our wedding cake through Publix, but when we tasted those little cupcakes, we decided to do a little research and schedule a tasting with for the following month. The tasting was so fun and laid back, and the tasting portions were absolutely huge! We got to try nine different flavor combos, all of which were delicious, to the point that we had a hard time settling on just two combinations for our small cake. In the end we went with one tier of almond cake with amaretto cream filling, and a second tier of lemon cake with blackberry mousse. Both were delicious, and the cake itself was beautiful, a perfect reflection of our original cake inspo picture. We ordered the minimum required fifty servings of cake, though our guest count wound up being lower, and were glad to have so much extra cake on hand when everyone started requesting second helpings! By the end of the night, it was all gone, and my husband and I were happy to have some generous pieces packed away to eat on our honeymoon the following day! Thanks Katie for a gorgeous and delicious wedding cake!

Our wedding cake looked and tasted amazing. We received so much feedback from guests about how wonderful the cake was and nothing went to waste . It was a beautiful triple level cake with three different flavor and filling combinations. Katie was also very receptive to all our requests .

After the wedding, we called Katie "an angel in the night" because she literally swooped in, made the cake with perfection, and left without a sound. She was great, communication was great, and execution was great! She made the before process easy and all her cake flavors were delicious it made it hard to choose. We asked for a plain white cake with rainbow inside and that's exactly what we got. Loved it!!

Kakes by Katie made our wedding cake for our “Notebook Themed” wedding at the Winterbourne Inn. Our cake was so perfect and absolutely delicious. It was a huge hit! Katie was so professional and easy to work with. We met with her for a tasting which was fantastic. Funny story, neither my husband nor I are big cake eaters so we weren’t really excited about this part of our wedding, but we went to the tasting, trying to keep a positive attitude. When Katie brought out many different samples, we took the first bite, we looked at each other and were blow away. This was cake? It was absolutely delicious. Better than any cake we had ever had. We tried to contain ourselves during the tasting but I know we looked like vultures going through all the samples. We booked her immediately. We did a three tier cake with Traditional Vanilla, Champagne Strawberry filling, and Key Lime. She also provide incredible cupcakes as part of our desserts. Everyone loved all she made. She was prompt to respond during the process and delivered on time. We would HIGHLY recommend Kakes by Katie for your wedding or any event.

Katie's cakes are delicious! Lemon with blackberry filling was to die for, as was the strawberry cream cheese and chocolate. The cake was beautiful, delicious and Katie was very accommodating and easy to work with!

The cake was gorgeous and tasted amazing! Most cakes dry out after a couple of days, but a week later and it was still very moist. Her flavors are also different than basic cake shops so you can personalize it!

Katie is very accommodating and a very busy Baker! I was going to use Publix for my Wedding Cake but they wouldn't do anything but Chocolate or Vanilla on the cake itself and I wanted Champagne for my cake. I called Kakes by Katie and told her I wanted a Champagne cake with Strawberry Glaze filling and Vanilla Buttercream icing and that I had my own "Topper" and that I also wanted fresh strawberries cut like Roses and placed around the cake as garnishment and she said "No Problem"!

My daughter's cake for her wedding was so beautiful and delicious! We had tons of compliments, especially the quality of the icing! My only thing was, and not sure why, because I never actually saw her, but she didn't use our cake stand or her wedding topper! But we didn't realize it until it was all over, and it looked and tasted delicious regardless!

Our cake was gorgeous AND delicious!! We scheduled a tasting a few months before our wedding, and Katie brought out a plate full of cupcakes, all different flavors!! They were all delicious, but we ended up choosing the first one!! Our cake was coconut with coconut cream filling. YUM!!! Katie also drove our cake from her location in Jacksonville all the way to our destination at Fort Clinch State Park on Amelia Island!!

Katie made the cake for my parents' 40th wedding anniversary party. She did a fantastic job replicating the colors and design of their original 1976 cake while bringing it up to today's standards. I was so impressed with the appearance but what was even more amazing was the taste! We had a 2-tier and chose coconut/coconut-cream up top with French vanilla/chocolate ganache on the bottom. Both were outstanding.
I told Katie how many guests we were expecting and she scaled the size to fit. In the end, we had plenty of cake for everyone and even some to take home. Katie was a pleasure to work with and quite accommodating. Definitely give her a call if you're in the market for a delicious, affordable, beautiful cake for any occasion!

Katie's cakes are SO GOOD! She was our first cake tasting - and our last. Her icing is incredible and the flavors were out of this world. We were able to have a four tiered cake with four different flavors. Our favorite was the white chocolate cake. Our quests were amazed by how wonderful the cake was (a few of the guests were looking her up while they were eating their slices). The cake itself was very moist and matched the icing perfectly. We decided to have a cake made for the rehearsal dinner and it was a chocolate cake with chocolate covered strawberries. The strawberries themselves were tremendous and the cake was out of this world! We decided to take the top layer with us on our honeymoon and it was VERY good. Thank you Katie for an amazing cake! We will see each other again for birthday cakes!

Katie is an amazing baker. I booked her for the grooms cake and I can't wait to see the look on my Fiancé's face. Her flavors are so delicious, I couldn't stop eating the samples she gave me. I'm super picky about icings, but hers was spot on. Her prices are really great too!

I had my mind set on who was going to do our wedding cake from day one of meeting Katie. I changed my mind several times regarding the design throughout the process and she was always happy to accommodate me and give great suggestions. She responded quickly to any questions I had and was always so professional. Our cake turned out absolutely beautiful and we received so many compliments on how good the cake was! She is absolutely amazing at what she does!

For my wedding reception, my Fiance and I wanted a baker that would provide delicious cakes for our wedding. There were only few wedding items that my fiance wanted to have a decision in and the cakes was one of them. When we had our consultation with Katie, my fiance loved her numerous cake flavor and had a hard, but fun time choosing the flavors for our wedding cupcakes. I also loved the various cake designs she also had for our two-tier cake. As an out-of-State bride, Katie was prompt to in responding to my emails and the cake and cupcakes were amazing for our wedding day. Our guest loved the cupcakes and we would recommend Kakes by Katies for any wedding.

Katie my cake was absolutely stunning! I am so happy that we went with the blue in the middle. Everyone raved about how good the cake was and wanted a piece from all three layers!! Katie was great to work with and responded quickly to any questions. The tasting was phenomenal and her cakes are amazing. They taste like heaven!! They are very moist and taste so perfect! My husband and I loved working with Katie! She was so friendly and she worked very hard to make sure our wedding cake was perfect! We had so much fun at the tasting, all of the cake and filling flavors were so good! It was really difficult to decide which to choose so we did combinations of our favorites. My sister-in-law used Kakes by Katie for her wedding and recommend Katie to us. Both wedding cakes were beautiful and delicious! I am very impressed with both the flavor and appearance of her cakes!

It also looked so perfect! I hate the fondant so Katie made my cake with buttercream and it was so smooth and perfect, it looked like fondant! Everyone had cake cause it was so good!!!

Oh my goodness, our cake was truly amazing!!!! I was thrilled when I saw our cake at the wedding! Katie exceeded our expectations and the cake was delicious and so pretty! We had so many choices of flavors when we went for the tasting that it made it difficult to choose just one. Katie said we could have multiple flavors but because we knew that people would want to try them all, we opted to do one flavor which was the Almond with Creme Brulee filling with Buttercream icing....oh my goodness so yummy!!! Then I called Katie after we signed the contract and asked her to make a special small one with the Pumpkin with Cheesecake filling for my future hubby because we really loved that one as well. We ate that one the day after our wedding before our honeymoon. It was spectacular!!! We highly recommend Katie with Kakes by Katie for anyone looking for a truly exceptional wedding cake!!! She is amazing and you won't be disappointed!!!

Kakes by Katie was the only cake tasting we did, because once we tasted her cake we knew that was the cake we wanted. At the cake tasting she provided about 12 different flavors of cupcakes for us to try; they were all so good that my husband (fiance at the time) just about finished all of the cupcakes. We wanted something simple for our cake; something that didn't have a lot of frills, but just enough glitz to catch your attention. We also wanted to incorporate one of our wedding colors into the cake royal blue or dark red, without it looking weird. Katie was able to make the perfect cake for us. It was simple yet elegant, with one royal blue layer and just enough sparkle to not overwhelm. The cake was moist and the flavors were delicious. Overall it was everything we wanted and came out perfectly.

I was referred to Katie by a friend of mine. After seeing my friend's beautiful cake and hearing her rave about how excellent the cake was I contacted Katie. She was absolutely sweet and scheduled a consultation for my husband and I. The cake flavors are absolutely delicious! Our wedding cake was perfect and Katie crafted it to compliment our vintage Paris theme. I cannot begin to explain how many compliments we received on how delicious and beautiful our cake was.

I could not have been more pleased with Katie!! I would recommend her to anyone. Our tasting was great, she gave us so many options and they were all delicious. We were able to choose a different flavor for every layer of the cake and I, to this day, couldn't choose a favorite. All we did was mention that we might want to add a grooms cake to our order and she told us to come by that night for some samples (which were all delicious). On the day of we didn't even see her, she brought the cake and set it up without bothering us at all. Everyone loved the cake at the wedding. She was definitely the most reasonable priced vendor out there too.

I LOVED working with Katie!!!! The first thing that impressed me was, unlike the other cake vendors with whom I met, Katie offered a true tasting. She had several samples for me to try. Not only did we sign a wedding contract with her that day but also hired her for my son's birthday cake. HER CAKES ARE ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!!!! They are so moist. In my opinion her cakes are an exceptional value! I made a last minute change to my husband's groom cake and she graciously changed it without incident. His cake was truly spectacular and my husband, who typically doesn't like cake, went crazy for his cake - which of course, made my day :) Thank you Katie for all our amazing and delicious cakes you've made for us.... I'll be calling you in a couple months to do my son's next birthday :)

Katie was recommended to me from a friend who is also a wedding planner. I went and had my tasting and it was some of the best cake I had ever tasted... my sister had a massive wedding and a very expensive cake and it was nowhere as good as the one Katie made for my wedding. She was able to create exactly what I was envisioning, and what I found on Pinterest haha... The cake was moist, the filling was delicious and she is just the sweetest thing! Katie is AMAZING. From the tasting at her home, I already knew I wanted to book her after eating just a few bites. Her cakes are so moist and so flavorful. We chose to have 3 different flavors (including different fillings) for our 4 tier wedding cake because we could not make up our minds -- everything was delicious. I was so surprised she didn't charge extra for that! This was my 4th cake consultation and I was really sold with her. My other consultations, I was not in love with the cakes I was tasting.

She nailed the design I wanted as well, she's so good at what she does!! I had been looking forward to the cake for months and she exceeded my expectations. She's so easy to work with and I'm so so glad I went with her. I cannot wait to eat the top of the cake next year :)

Kakes by Katie is awesome! I researched a few different vendors in the St Augustine/Jacksonville area and decided on Kakes by Katie because of her VERY reasonable price, good reviews, and her responsiveness. The tasting was at her house and it was a delicious experience. I think we had 8 different flavor combinations and decided to go with her signature - white chocolate cake with raspberry mousse. The cake was soooooo good! Seriously! My husband and I still crave it and while we saved the top tier for our 1-year anniversary, I'm not sure it will last that long! ;) My family and I still talk about how delicious it was. As for the style, I went with a pretty simple theme but from Katie's portfolio, she looks like she can do a lot more than what I went for.

From the beginning, her cake tasting was by far the best of all the ones we went on. Her work is outstanding. The cake is beautiful and delicious. We only had 60 people but ordered 100 servings and the cake was almost gone by the end of the night. Our photographer said that "never happens" when the cake is put out buffet style so that says something about the taste. She even made a flavor I wanted that she doesn't typically make and it was outstanding.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Katie (and this is certainly not the case for all of my vendors!). Katie is helpful in every way possible and is great at her job. Her cake turned out beautiful, exactly as we had envisioned, and tasted as good as it looked. Katie is always quick to answer emails or phone calls regarding any questions you may have. She was in and out of the venue quietly and professionally, and set the cake up beautifully. My mother brought me a picture of the cake while I was getting ready because she couldn't get over how great it looked! All of the guests told me they thought the cake was delicious! Katie makes the best cakes in Jacksonville. So moist and tasty! The cake was a huge hit with all our guests. She created a unique and beautiful design. She responded quickly to my every thought and helped make our wedding cake dreams come true!

She set up the cake the day of the wedding and we had no issues; even with a very heavy cake topper!

Our wedding cake was as beautiful and tasted amazing! We had a multi-tiered cale with pretty much every flavor being a different flavor (we used her sour cream, chocolate, and red velvet flavors), and all my guests commented how great it was. She also coordinated with my other venders to organize delivery and decorating (we had flowers placed on our cake done by our florist). My husband and I consider Kakes by Katie our favorite vendor by far! She was easy to communicate with, flexible, and able to work with us on the price. Best of all, the cake was BEAUTIFUL! Even more gorgeous than I imagined. She had no problems working with us even though we were living overseas. She even offered us TWO cake tastings to help us figure out exactly what we wanted. The groom's cake was great too-- she was able to put together the ideas we had for it perfectly. Katie is an absolute pleasure to work with. She is very creative and talented. I found a picture of a cake that I liked online and she was able to replicated it perfectly. The cake itself is amazing. We received so many compliments on how wonderful the wedding cake and grooms cake was. Some people even said it was the best cake they have ever had. The cake is so moist and the flavors are perfectly balanced with the buttercream, filling, and cake. One of the greatest things about Kakes by Katie is that she does not charge extra for having different cake flavors. All of our guests were able to enjoy three different layers. We ordered a cake that would feed almost double the amount of guests and we had almost no cake left over. Thats how wonderful it was. Everyone really enjoyed the ability to try different flavors. Her pricing is extremely reasonable.

Katie made the most beautiful cake for my daughter's wedding in Amelia Island. She is very professional and listened to all of my daughter's desires and ideas and then created the most beautiful cake that worked into her theme fantastically. And....we got so many comments about how delicious it was and that it was the best wedding cake they had ever had!

Thanks Katie for all your hard work!! you did a great job on our wedding cake and grooms cake. My wedding cake by Kakes by Katie was a dream! So beautiful, but most of all-delicious. I had a 4 Tier cake for my wedding and not a piece was left at the end of the evening - everyone loved it and was eating 2 or more pieces!

Not only did our cake look beautiful but it was delicious. Katie took my vision and made a cake that was exactly what I had in mind. She was also extremely accommodating and flexible as we were planning the wedding long distance and were often trying to meet with her on short notice. She even made a flavor change for us at the last minute with no additional charges! Can't wait to have an excuse to order one of her cakes again!

Katie is so wonderful and we were blessed to have her cake business be a part of our wedding day! We love supporting local business and Katie is an AMAZING baker. Katie was amazing! Not only does she give the best cake tastings (actually provides several different flavors, frosting, filiings, etc), but her cakes TASTES delicious! You name it, and she can make it. I was referred to her, so I had the pleasure of already having her cake at someone else's wedding, but we still wanted to try something a little different. We were able to go in and give her a rough idea of what we thought we might want and she listed out several options until we decided on our "perfect match". Yet still, a week out, she let us make several more changes and the day of, we walked in, and our cake was absolutely stunning and moreover...delicious. Katie creates magic in her kitchen, there is no other way to say it ;)

My cake was absolutely delicious! Everyone at the wedding loved it. Katie was great to work with and the cake was beautiful. I also had her make me a rehearsal dinner cake, and it was delicious as well. I don't know if they are the cheapest around town, but I felt the money was well spent.

Katie was great! She was very easy to work with and was great about her communication with me. She made two cakes for me that were exactly what I had described to her and they tasted fabulous. She was very helpful and flexible when I changed my mind about things. She was also very accomodating to my crazy schedule when it came to scheduling my tasting, which I greatly appreciated. I definitely got many compliments about my cakes and they were great!

Fantastic & Tasty Kake!!

Kathy did an amazing job! The cake was beautiful and so tasty. She was easy to work with. I already knew exactly what I wanted but she has many designs of cakes to look through during consultation. Her cake tasting consultation was also fantastic! We chose the almond and amaretto for the bottom of the cake that we cut into and pink champagne and fresh strawberries for the top of the cake. Everything was so tasty and fresh. Couldn’t have asked for a better cake maker! Thanks Katie for a gorgeous and delicious wedding cake!

I was referred to Katie by a friend who recently booked her services. The cake tasting was an excellent presentation with a large variety to chose from! She was very attentive with notes and soon after the tasting mailed me a mock up drawing with notes on what flavors and fillings I liked. I booked immediately. I got to choose a different cake and filling for all 3 tiers at no extra charge! Her email response time was reasonable and sent a receipt via mail after each payment showing balance so I was always up to date. Day if the Cake. Was. Amazing!! After the formal cutting I had to try a piece of each layer. Guests were raving and asking who made the cake. I had none left to take home. I will certainly use her for any of my cake needs!

Katie did an awesome job on our cake! When we were indecisive and it was last minute, I finally knew what I wanted, sent it to her and had more than I could have ever dreamed of when I saw the cake the day of. Didn't get to meet Katie, but she was awesome by email and will definitely be recommending her for others!

Fabulous cakes! My husband and I were very particular about our cake and tried many different bakeries in the Jacksonville area. Our cake was as delicious as it was beautiful and Katie was willing to do anything we asked. She also made our groom's cake, a "cornhold board" and it was a hit! You will not be disappointed if you go with Kake's by Katie.

Katie made the cake for our wedding in March 2010. It was absolutely gorgeous and exactly what we wanted. She delivered and setup the cake without a hitch - when we entered our reception the cake was sitting on the table that she also decorated with things we provided - PERFECT! The cake was delicious and beautiful. I highly recommend that you ask Katie to make a cake for your special day - you will not be disappointed!
