K was an absolute DREAM to work with! K was our marriage officiant, and she made everything easy for us. She was incredibly kind and thoughtful, while also being a gifted writer who was able to share my and my husband’s love for each other during the ceremony. She interviewed my husband and I separately to get our thoughts on our relationship, and then put together the most wonderful ceremony for us, using the same communication style we used. We had many people tell us it was one of the best wedding ceremonies they had heard. She included so many details about our relationship that were meaningful to us. She helped us decide on things like how we wanted to be announced at the end of the ceremony and other things we hadn’t even thought about, so all of the “smaller” details were special to us, too. The picture I'm including shows how much we enjoyed the ceremony she put together!
On the administrative side, she walked us through how to get a marriage certificate, and after the wedding, handled sending it in for us. Also, when she had an emergency come up and wasn’t able to attend our rehearsal, she was insistent on lowering her fee, since we originally planned for her to be there. It was unnecessary, as we understood things happen, but she insisted. Just another example of how wonderful and fair a person she is to work with.
I can’t imagine anyone else having made our ceremony as special for us as K did. -

We can’t recommend her enough! We had to find an officiant for our wedding very last minute due to some unplanned issues in our family. Less than a month out we reached out to her and she was able to schedule phone calls around our crazy schedules and wrote the perfect ceremony for us! We opted for the highest customization option, and she did amazing. Everyone told us our ceremony was one of the most beautiful they’ve ever seen and it’s all thanks to her! Worth every penny!! -

Having K officiate our wedding was the best decision we could have made! We really wanted to customize our ceremony to reflect us and K absolutely delivered. She provided suggestions along the way and made the process seamless from start to finish. The ceremony was unique to us and she wound our love story together in a perfectly meaningful way. We had so many guests tell us it was the most heartfelt ceremony they had been to. We could not be happier with how it all went, so if you're looking for a VA wedding officiant, look no further. -

K officiated our wedding at the Maryland Zoo and we highly recommend having her officiate yours! She was very professional and communicated well leading up to the big day. She helped us through the different parts of the ceremony and personalized her script to highlight our relationship. She made us feel comfortable during our portions of the ceremony and made the day feel extra special! -

I am not an affectionate person. I was not looking forward to being put on display in front of 200 people to get married. But I did know that K would help me get through it.
K was our officiant for our Wedding in 2019 and I couldn’t have asked for a better person. As a family friend, I knew K could give us the ceremony we wanted, and boy did she deliver. We wanted spiritual but not religious, we wanted special but not cheesy, and most of all we wanted someone calm, cool, and collected like K.
From the blessings before dinner to the entire ceremony she made everyone feel welcome and loved. I honestly think I looked more at K than my now husband during the ceremony because I was so nervous. K has a genuine presence that makes everyone feel included, important, and at ease. She has a calmness about her that is infectious and makes you want to be a better person.
I can’t recommend K’s services enough! No matter your event, whether it be a celebration or a time of need, K will provide that beacon of light to help you get through it. -

K was so friendly, personable, kind, helpful, & warm! We could tell she was invested in accurately representing us and our relationship. She helped us craft our wedding ceremony exactly the way we wanted and completely custom. She was willing to be as hands-on/off as we wanted and answered any and every question that we had in ways that made sense. She remembered things we didn’t even think to ask for. We received many many compliments on our ceremony! We absolutely recommend K and hope she’ll be available when we do our vow renewal down the road!!! -

We were incredibly fortunate to have K Scarry as our wedding officiant in March 2025. K was the officiant for my sister’s wedding in 2019, so she was the first vendor I reached out to once we set our wedding date because I knew I had to have her.
From the very beginning, K was intentional, thoughtful, and kind. She communicates in a way that makes you feel included and heard, welcoming our preferences for the ceremony while also providing prompts and ideas for things we may not have considered. She took the time to truly understand us both as individuals and as a couple, which translated into a personalized ceremony that was sentimental and authentic, with the perfect amount of humor mixed in.
Every guest laughed and cried along with us - with innumerable people telling us at the reception, as well as weeks later, how much they loved K and the ceremony. I can’t imagine our wedding without K as the officiant - I can’t recommend her enough!

K was absolutely amazing to work with. She wrote and delivered a beautiful ceremony that was exactly what I envisioned for our special day. She understood that we wanted a sacred, but still secular ceremony. I cannot recommend her enough. -
