From the very first interaction, working with Kristel was an absolute joy. She is truly one of the kindest people I’ve ever worked with and has an incredible ability to make every single person who sits in her chair feel heard, comfortable, and beautiful. She came highly recommended by our wedding planner, and by another bride whose wedding I was a guest at where her team did the bridal party’s hair and makeup — so I knew I was in great hands. Still, she exceeded every expectation. What stood out most was how safe and supported she made me feel sharing feedback. I always felt comfortable expressing what I loved, what I wanted to adjust, or what didn’t quite feel like me. She listened so thoughtfully and made changes with care and intention, never once making me feel awkward or unsure. My trial with her was so much fun and left me feeling confident and excited going into wedding day because I knew exactly what to expect. On the big day, that confidence made all the difference. Her communication is also top tier, she never had a delay in communication and her response time to any email or communication was extremely punctual, and I can’t speak enough about how much I appreciated this. If you’re looking for someone who is not only incredibly talented but also warm, calming, and deeply invested in making you feel like the best version of yourself, I cannot recommend Kristel & K.Marina Beauty enough. -

Rikki and Diana made all my wedding hair and makeup dreams come true! From the start, K. Marina Beauty was quick to communicate and answered all of my questions. The team at K Marina was incredible! They were very professional and easy to work with. And the hair and makeup artists did an outstanding job. I don't generally wear any makeup, and I've never really liked how I looked the few times I've gotten it done professionally. I absolutely LOVED how Lisinda did my makeup - it was very natural, but still made me look and feel beautiful! And Hazel did such an incredible job with my hair - and it stayed put all night long, even running around in the rain! The rest of my bridal party also loved their hair and makeup and couldn't say enough good things about the K Marina team. -

I decided to go with Kristel and her team because, as a black mixed woman it's hard to find hair and makeup artists that I know I can trust. My entire bridal party had different skin tones and different textures of hair. We had Gabby (Makeup) & Diana (Hair) and they were both amazing!!
My makeup was fun and exactly what I wanted. As someone who doesnt wear makeup often, I asked for a light coverage that I wouldn't be noticing and Gabby did it perfectly! She made sure I was 100% comfortable with my makeup before she moved on to the other bridesmaids.
Diana was amazing to work with! She really knows her stuff and got my ladies looking great!! My hair was curled and still felt soft and free while not getting frizzy.
I could not be happier working with this team!! -

Professional, Artists and Kindness - the perfect beauty team!
A review will never be enough to thank K. Marina for being such an incredible team to work with. They were professional, thoughtful and went above and beyond from booking to the day of. They were always proactive in communication, making me feel at ease and allowing me to fully trust them. They were kind and thoughtful as for example, I had requested to have my trial on my birthday and they made arrangements and shifts to make that happen. Aside from their professionalism, they also just do amazing work. My glam team, Ang and Melissa, showed me their expertise in flawlessly executing my hair and makeup look. I asked them for glam, and they delivered. I had told Melissa about an insecurity about showing my ears which conflicted with my slick back hair style and she worked her magic to give me the hairstyle while camouflaging the insecurity, I felt like a million bucks on my wedding day, thanks to them. My bridesmaids and mom also agreed, as I got several comments from them throughout the day so excited about their look. They went above and beyond again on my wedding day, as last minute Ang gave me full sized lip products (I chose to have a red lip) to make sure I had some for touchups later on. This was so kind, and absolutely not part of what I booked, and I was very touched by the gesture. They were also just so much fun to have during the day, completing the little pre-wedding crew. Could go on forever, truly. Do not hesitate to book this team - they are AMAZING :) -

We love K.Marina Beauty
There isn’t enough time to describe how amazing this experience was. From the trial, to the day of the wedding, we felt supported and seen. Nikki is fantastic, extremely kind and an amazing artist. I showed her my inspiration, and she followed through with the exact style and I loved it. She made everyone feel beautiful and brought a great energy to our bridal suite.
I highly suggest booking them for your wedding! -

Kristel & Nikki are such fun people that you should definitely hire for your special day! I first met them at their studio for my hair & makeup trial, and 2 hours passed by really quickly since we were just chatting the whole time. Both Kristel & Nikki were very accommodating to my preferences & requests, but they’re also professionals who honestly told me what they thought would look best on me. At the end of the trial session, they told me to look at the mirror and told them everything that I wanted them to change. They fixed a couple of things and told me to reach out to them if I thought of other things later that day. I sent a long email to Kristel the following day with some more adjustments, and on my wedding day, they did everything perfectly, just like what I imagined! Ladies, definitely buy the package that includes a trial session. Trial session is so worth it! On the wedding day, Kristel & Nikki did hair & make up for me, my bridesmaids & moms (6 hair & 6 makeup in total) and they were so efficient in their work (they did all of that in 4.5 hours)! Also, the makeup stayed great for the whole day! When we did the photo session under the cherry blossom tree, it was raining outside, but the makeup stayed great for the ceremony and reception. The pictures by the waterfront and the wedding cake were taken 6-7 hours after they finished doing my hair & makeup, and they still looked flawless. I would definitely recommend Kristel & Nikki to anyone! -

Beautiful work!
The first thing I said to the bride when I saw her was “WOW your skin looks literally flawless”. The makeup was so incredibly well done it looked natural on her skin, no lines, streaks, discoloration or ANYTHING. I was jealous of her makeup, that’s a good sign right?

Amazing team beautiful work
Kristel, Nikki and Lisinda were amazing! My bridesmaids and I loved our hair and makeup. It lasted all night. I felt and looked beautiful even on two hours of sleep haha. Go for the eyelashes if you can, it adds a beautiful touch. They have several services to choose from and can mix and match to what works for you. I like how they can travel to your venue. They are friendly, organized, communicated well and quickly. Trial went well and open communication is encouraged which I liked. Nikki and Kristel gave advice and I loved how they also considered my dress and the photographer’s style in my makeup and hair. Something that I would not have thought about. I can’t wait to get the professional photos. I felt comfortable and they helped make our special day beautiful. I highly recommend them 🥰🎂👰🏻♀️. -

I cannot recommend K.Marina Beauty enough!! Between the trial and the wedding I completely changed my mind about my hair and makeup look. Kristel was understanding and had great communication throughout to make sure it was exactly what I wanted on the big day, and she exceeded all my expectations. Not only that, but all my bridesmaids got the exact hair & makeup look they wanted, too. Our makeup & hair lasted ALL DAY and looked great in photos. Kristel & her team were a pleasure to work with - such kind and fun people! -

Literally the best
First off, Kristel and Michelle did such amazing work. Kristel did a makeup trial the day I had an engagement shoot and I never felt better about myself. Michelle did my hair trial and she hooked it up! Both of them are masters in their craft. I couldn’t have been more pleased with the outcome. They have been super flexible during Covid and provided amazing service. Kristel made all of my bridesmaids feel 100% and me too. She helped us look and feel our best (plus she is a great hype woman). Michelle knows hair and has the talent to prove it. I had a bridesmaid whose hair doesn’t hold curls very well and she did amazing making her bun look flawless. I had another bridesmaid with quite short hair and once Michelle was done you would have never guessed my bridesmaid had short hair. These two are the best in their business. -

They were AMAZING! The products used were incredible and I’ve never felt prettier. This is my 4th time being a bridesmaid and I wish every experience was like this in the makeup chair! (Because not all of them are 😳) I also never leave reviews but trust me this was on my priority list! Thank you!!!!!!! -

This team was lovely. After corresponding with Kristel about the look and what I needed for the wedding day, I hired Gabby and Hazel to do make-up and hair for myself, my five bridesmaids, and two mothers. The two of them worked seamlessly together, from my trial (which was a fabulous afternoon together with the both of them, sipping on some wine and cracking jokes) to my big day. They were also both receptive to adjusting my look to feel even less like I was wearing make-up (which I rarely do) - I really felt my best on my big day.
On my wedding day, I was severely under-the-weather, and they rearranged their “who’s sitting in the chair” plan around making it so I went last – which was not the plan. Gabby worked with only natural light coming in from the windows (no fluorescents or ring lights for make-up because it was all giving me a migraine), and Hazel worked to curl everyone’s hair – including mine, last-minute – to still be on time for family photos, which was a feat. Gabby was also able to do my make-up while I was sitting near the floor with my back to the window. The two were troopers and so respectful and responsive to the twists and turns of getting all the ladies ready on-time.
I could not recommend my team enough for the seamless and professional experience they gave myself and my girls! Thank you, Hazel & Gabby!
