Took our breath away…
Justin and Christian were a blast to work with for our Wedding! Fun and easy to talk to, and they do great job at giving direction. They make the experience easy and comfortable. My favorite quality is that they both took a creative approach with their unique individual styles to give us a wide variety of photos. Justin also did our engagement photos and was literally willing to go to great heights for us, on top of enchanted rock in Fredericksburg. We are so grateful to share such memorable experiences with you! Thank you for the great photos and memories!Justin and Christian were a blast to work with for our Wedding! Perfectly captured love
Justin captured every moment at our wedding in the most artistic and gorgeous way. Additionally, he bundled engagement photos in ICELAND into the cost! The photos he took of us will be showcased in our home for the rest of our lives. Justin is an amazing photographer and now friend. Don’t pass on the opportunity to have photos you’ll be proud to have forever.Justin captured every moment at our wedding in the most artistic and gorgeous way. Beautiful photos to last a lifetime
Justin was an amazing photographer to work with. I spent weeks pouring over albums of different photographers to choose the perfect one. Justin had these amazing, artistic, and dramatic shots of couples that resonated with me and was what I wanted to have to capture our wedding. He surely delivered and we have many many photos that capture the feel of the day and the love of the event in a beautifully crafted photograph. We saw his dedication to the art of photography on our big day when he was ducking behind window panes, shooting through bottles of water! He was never in the way but popped up whenever needed! Justin was great to work with in all the phases, planning and preparation, the big day, and to delivering amazing photographs after. He was accommodating in what we wanted for our photographs but definitely brought his style to the photos- which is what you hire him for! Highly recommend Justin and would choose him again in a heartbeat.Justin was an amazing photographer to work with. We hired Justin to shoot our engagement photos in San Antonio at two separate locations and he WAY exceeded our expectations!! He started us off with a great ice breaker to get us comfortable with him and with being photographed. We had SO MUCH fun, and ended up with the most beautiful photos! We actually had trouble choosing our favorites for the save the dates - we love them all!! He is very dedicated to getting great shots, even remains flexible with timing in order to get the incredible photos we wanted. He perfectly captured our love and silliness.. so much so that we then decided to hire him to shoot our DC wedding next year!!! Justin is the BEST! We were both a little apprehensive that our photos would be too posed, but Justin made us feel totally at ease and everything came out way above our expectations. He makes the entire experience fun and relaxed like you are hanging out with a best friend. Highly recommend him for any professional photo needs!!!Justin is the BEST! My mom, future mother-in-law, and I met Justin at the Bridal Extravaganza in San Antonio in May. It was a very exciting and overwhelming day with so many different photographers and vendors to pick from. When we stopped at Justin's booth, we immediately hit it off. Justin was very friendly, had a wonderful set-up, and a great flyer detailing all of his photography packages. Justin and his wife answered all of our questions and made a lasting impression on us. We were ready to book him that day but were hesitant because the wedding date was not secured yet at a venue. Shortly after the extravaganza we booked our venue and I contacted Justin to book him for our engagement photos and our wedding. Justin has a streamlined process for signing the contract and is great about communicating. My fiancé and I were moving at the end of the summer so we only had a few months to have our engagement photos done and to plan the majority of our wedding. Justin made sure that I had all of the information that I needed in regards to the engagement session and for the wedding day. He has answered my many questions quickly- through email, over the phone, and in person!
For our engagement session, we had it on two separate days so we could have it at two different locations. Justin made the engagement sessions fun and made my fiancé and I feel comfortable in front of the camera. I had requests for specific pictures that I wanted (like a banner with our date and blowing glitter) and Justin captured those beautifully! Justin has an artistic eye and brings photos to life with his ideas. He gives great tips and instructions and the results are extraordinary!
The turn around time for engagement photos was very quick and they turned out wonderfully- better than we could have imagined! I was blessed to work with Justin twice... Bridal shots and for our "family only" ceremony.
He changed a cold, rainy, blah day into a fun time and great shots for the bridal shots in Jan. 2015.

When I first called Justin a few months ago about possibly taking some "engagement reenactment" photos, I was really just browsing around. He was the first photographer I called, and ended up being the only one. We immediately hit it off over the phone, and he gave my fiance and me a unique solution to a unique problem. From there, him and my fiance brainstormed and came up with a surprise that completely blew me away. I've worked with a lot of different photographers, and never have I found it so easy to get amazing pictures. It just comes naturally to him. We look forward to our engagements and having Justin shoot our wedding!
Update: Justin and his team did a fantastic job! He really went above and beyond. His style of shooting always put me at ease and he was very efficient with his time management at the wedding. I am so thankful to have had him be a part of wedding and engagement, every step of the way. We plan on doing pictures with him on a yearly basis, yes, he's just that good! Justin was an absolutely wonderful photographer!!!! I had several people come up to me and say they wanted him for their weddings! He worked incredibly hard to get the right angles and shots, and our pictures turned out beautifully. He was very professional and fun to work with, and made our day so special! We can't say enough wonderful things about Justin Brownell's photography and would recommend him to a close friend. We are a wedding venue in New Braunfels, TX and hired Justin to create an online photography tour. He was diligent, professional, easy to work with, and really cared- he asked lots of questions & was quick to follow up. He even came back to shoot a few spaces that we wanted to emphasize at no extra cost. We were more than pleased and enjoyed working with him. We have worked with many photographers, but have to say that Justin's eye for detail and talent is top-notch. Justin Brownell is so talented and captured our wedding week perfectly! He asked ahead of time what we wanted, did his own research for the locations and ideas we had, and delivered without fail. We had Justin on the run ALL day in New York City and he never lost a step! I was in Times Square for our "first look" and so nervous and thirsty-Justin got me water and gave me kind words to relax me. Such a gentleman! He captured moments between me and my wife when we thought no one was looking or around that were so sweet. Justin Brownell photographed our wedding in March of 2014. He flew to NYC for this event! Everything about the day was magical and he captured all of it. Justin has a unique way of capturing the moments in a very special, creative and artistic way. He pays close attention to details and is able to capture any moment from many different view points and angles which makes his work stand out in a great way. If you are looking for a photographer to tell the story through photos of your special day or event and not just simply take pictures of you facing the camera and smiling then Justin will be perfect. We had somehow stumbled upon Justin for our engagement photos and were so blown away in love that we actually cancelled our already booked photographer for the wedding. Justin was amazing! He catered to all my crazy requests and had some great ideas for shots as well. He didn't complain once and I should mention our wedding day lasted from about 11am-11pm and Justin was there for all of it, including our bus bar hopping pre reception. I still get compliments on our photos. Still waiting on wedding album 4.5 years later
Justin was great to work with and took great photos but our wedding was 4.5 years ago and we still don’t have our wedding album. It took years and many reminders to get the canvas prints included in our package and at this point I’ve just given up on our wedding album after asking for it to be mailed to us and/or a refund probably 20 times. So if you’re interested in any actual physical products I wouldn’t recommend.Justin was great to work with and took great photos but our wedding was 4.5 years ago and we still don’t have our wedding album.
