User2295951 Sent on 09/01/2015The girls at Shine were AMAZING!!! The salon is gorgeous, and as soon I sat down in the chair I was given a glass of champagne. I could not believe how beautiful I looked after everything was done. It was a total transformation. They are not only reasonably priced, but their work is beyond amazing. -
User2323062 Sent on 09/18/2015I love Shine! Not only is the team top notch, they were flexible and easy to work with. I had a wedding party of 7, we had a great time getting ready together while each girl got her own special attention. The addition of champagne and cupcakes was a fun perk that we loved and made the morning special. Shine was even able to fit in my mom last minute when I accidently left her out of the original head count.
I highly recommend Shine for any special occasion! -

I was very impressed with their professionalism, their knowledge to replicate any style you want, and their overall fantastic attitudes.They came to my venue and did hair and makeup for the entire bridal party, the mothers, and myself. Everyone looked and felt exceptionally beautiful!They are all very talented and create such a relaxing and fun atmosphere! I can absolutely say this was the best day of my life and they were the perfect people to spend the morning with! -

It was a great place for all the ladies to convene the morning of the wedding. Everyone's hair looked amazing. The stylists were also great with the junior bridesmaids.

User1375960 Sent on 10/12/2013Shine's team did my hair & makeup (and the hair & makeup for the Maid of Honor) for my October wedding in Montecito, CA, and the staff were great on the day, offering us champagne and water while we were there. I did a test run on the hairstyle with Laura and she modified the style exactly how I requested for the big day. It was a complex 1/2 updo with horizontal french braiding around the back, and Laura nailed it! I got amazing complements! My makeup artist, Yolanda, was also great. She accommodated my request to use my own Chanel makeup colors and favorite eyeliner to create a dramatic bridal look that still looked like me :) Unfortunately, my MOH's makeup artist was not quite as skilled and put WAY to much foundation and powder on my sister - she ended up looking 10 years older and had to wipe off most of the makeup when we got home before photos...so be sure to request Yolanda for your entire bridal party.

User1554610 Sent on 03/10/2014Setting up the appointments for our group was a pleasure as I really felt like I received personal attention and that our business mattered. Last minute changes were handled with grace and our group was really excited. Unfortunately, when we checked in for the services, the personal touch was lost and our group was spread all over the salon. While mostly everyone was happy with the results, it wound up being a disjointed and chaotic experience. Even so, if I was in the area again and needed someone to curl my hair I'd stop by.

User1804086 Sent on 09/10/2014Cindy & Linda are very nice and processional and were very accommodating to my wedding party. However, their stylists are average and the blowouts are not nearly as good as those I have received at Dry Bar or Blo Me Away.

User1062623 Sent on 01/08/2013Stylists are not experienced with up-dos. I felt so awful after taking the entire bridal party here. I should have known better as this is a blow-out bar. One of the up-dos were acceptable but the rest were not. One bridesmaid had every single bobby-pin on her head showing. It looked terrible, we said something to the manager and she took a few minutes and tried to tuck the bobby-pins out of view, but there were too many to really make it look good. Another bridesmaid had thinner hair and the stylist was vocal about how thin her hair was and blamed his inability to style her hair on the quality of her hair! Funny thing is one of the other bridesmaids was able to do a soft updo when we got back to the hotel that looked fantastic in about 5-minutes. The flower-girls hair was a messy bun, and the salon charged us $75 which was $40 more than the original quoted flower-girl price. Negotiating the final bill was a nightmare, like the flower girl instance above the salon tried to gouge in many places adding dollars were they felt like it. It also took over a hour for them to “create” the final bill after we had been there all morning, we had to go next door for lunch while we were waiting for the bill. It was just a really horrible experience, not set up for weddings and definitely not something you want to deal with on a wedding day!Just Blow Drys's reply:
I am so sorry for your experience that day, it does not sound like the experience we at Shine give. I do not have a date or name so I can't addresses this situation exactly. We do lots of weddings, and the stylists are very experienced in updos, and I do apologize for your experience that day.
