  Just What We Were Looking For

  Kelly really brought our vision to life from engagement shoot to wedding day and we are so grateful to have her amazing photos to look back on for the rest of our lives. We wanted most of our photos to be candid and have a somewhat natural feel to them as I am not the best at posed photos.. We loved the mix of black and white and color and appreciated her direction with our large group of rambunctious bridesmaids/groomsmen. She kept her cool and helped calm me down by while I was feeling extremely anxious - she truly delivered for us as did her assistant. The prints we received were beautiful and I look forward to purchasing more in the future!

  An artist with her camera

  As our trip is coming to a close, we are reflecting on the highlights. Of coarse, the engagement itself is at the very top. The entire process of our experience at the waterfall, appreciating such a visually stunning natural wonder, the exact moment of the proposal, the elated feelings of joy, nervousness, wonder and love; all of these things are held together in our minds eye and the moments you captured. Without you working your artistic magic, it would just be a blissful recollection of experience, with no visual recall, no spirit of the moment captured for us to relive. We are forever grateful for you spending the time to help us capture such an amazing moment.
  
  As dreary as it was, the cold, the wet, I know it only adds to the unique elements of the photos and we are so excited to see them. I imagine it was miserable for you but you handled it with such professionalism and grace, we didn't notice.
  
  I just wanted to take this time before we fly out to say how much it meant to us, how genuinely kind, patient, wonderful and easy to work with you it was. Thank you and I wish you and your family all the best :)

  Title says it all. Along with her radiant, run personality! She was a blessing from above for sure! She helped us out in many, many ways. Honestly this wedding wouldn't have happened without her dedication, passion, and drive! We honestly couldn't have picked a better photographer. She was putting herself out there to get the best shots for our amazing day! The way she stepped up for us, made our hearts so full they could have exploded. So yes, we absolutely do recommend her!   Pacific Coast Elopement

  Kelly was amazing. She was able to make us feel so comfortable in front of her camera. She gave direction so there were never “what do we do moments”. She got our photos back quickly and we are in love with them. We could not be happier with her work.

  To say that Kelly is phenomenal at what she does, is the biggest understatement. I stumbled upon her work while researching venues and fell in love with her more journalistic approach to photography. She has this way of capturing the moments during your wedding that you didn't even know happened or carried so much emotion. I booked Kelly in early 2016 for our August 2017 wedding, and just got another email from her today. She has not only put up with us for that long, but has been the most kind, compassionate, understanding, above-and-beyond human we could have ever asked for in a wedding photographer. My husband isn't one to love photo shoots and he has told me repeatedly how comfortable Kelly made him feel during both our engagement session and wedding. She has a way of making you forget any bit of the awkwardness that you might be worried about. Looking at our wedding photos had us laughing, crying, and laughing so hard we were crying. And I think that is what makes her one of a kind. I truly cannot recommend her enough.

  I have seen so many wedding photos on social media that all look exactly the same, so when it came time to choose my own wedding photographer, I knew what I wanted to avoid. Kelly's photography stood out to me immediately for its uniqueness. She is amazing at what she does. I have only seen four preview photos from my wedding so far, but I am already blown away. Not only is she a great artist, she is also super easy to work with, which doesn't hurt.

  Kelly was absolutely amazing to work with! She always got back to me in a timely manner and answered any question that I could possibly think of, even if it felt like a silly question. During my photo shoot with her she made me feel completely comfortable and provided a ton of guidance to get the best shot. I am beyond excited to see how my photos turn out. She was professional and fun all at the same time and I absolutely loved working with her. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for any type of photographer!

  I am incredibly uncomfortable with having my picture taken, however from the moment I met Kelly I knew that she would make the process easy and comfortable. Everything from getting information and coordination before to the day of was seamless, easy and comfortable. Her pictures are incredible and she presented my husband and I with the most beautiful package when we received our pictures. I would highly recommend Kelly and absolutely trust her to capture all our special moments with the utmost professionalism and incredible style/talent.

  I could not imagine having anyone else do our photography for our wedding!! Kelly and Beth were so amazing and captured all of the little moments perfectly that we will treasure forever! I had been searching for the perfect photographer forever, when I came across Kelly with June Lion while I was on the site Green Wedding Shoes and I instantly fell in love with her work! I emailed her right away and she responded right away, which was a huge plus! She worked with me over the weeks to help fit into our budget and we wanted her so badly we made it work! It was like having a really great friend take our pictures! We were instantly connected with her and comfortable during the whole day! Kelly and Beth truly made our wedding day so special and I could not have imagined having anyone else take our photos for us. All of our guests are still raving about how fabulous they were and we felt like they were just guests at the wedding because of how well they fit in with everyone!!! We love you Kelly and Beth!!

  Kelly of June Lion was absolutely wonderful. During planning she was incredibly flexible and so easy to work with, even though we were coordinating things from across the country. The day of the wedding she was unobtrusive when she needed to be and took charge during portraits so that we were always comfortable with what was happening and what we needed to do. The photos turned out beautifully, and I keep getting compliments on them from all the guests, especially my relatives (even the ones who were skeptical of limited posed portraits!) If you're looking for beautiful photos that capture your day faithfully yet artistically, I would definitely recommend Kelly.

  Kelly was amazing!!! Her photos are so beautiful. She will will do whatever style you want, but we were going more vintage and she did it perfectly!! She is such a sweet and fun person! I had looked around and she found me off of a site and emailed me. Right away I could tell she was more my style:) So we met with her and knew right then we wanted her as our photographer. Would recommend her to everyone!!

  Photos have the magical ability to recall the sights, sounds, smells, and emotions of a moment. And they can transport you, even if you were never there in the first place, which was super important to us since many of our friends and family members were not able to join us for our wedding. Kelly was a dream to work with! We wanted to be able to relive the laughter, the heat (it was over 95 degrees in Hood River & Mt. Hood was on fire!), the music, the loving hugs from our friends and family, the smells of the food and flowers, the tears that were gingerly wiped from the corners of eyes during our vows and the toasts, the unique setting where we chose to get married, & the people who joined us to make it an amazing day. Kelly understood our vision and she made it a reality. She heard our request to avoid boring, traditional posed pictures, so even our family photos come alive with the personalities of the people in them. Her work is real and makes you feel like you are a part of the day's activities, even if you were never actually there. At least that's what our friends and family who couldn't attend tell us. They were so grateful that we had such wonderful photos to share and we were so grateful to be able to share them! Fast forward a couple years and we welcomed Kelly into our home to do a family photo shoot with our 9-month old baby girl. She documented this chapter in our life with a tender, fun-loving, & creative eye. We are so happy to have such beautiful shots of our little family. She really brought out the best in all of us! I love looking at the sweet moments I share every day with my daughter, but never get to see (like nuzzling her cheeks and making her giggle) and I get teary looking at the photos of my husband playing guitar to his daughter and tossing her above his head to make her thrill with laughter. The photos she has taken of our family, both at our wedding and of our little family, bring sweet smiles to our faces every time we look at them.

  I have nothing but great things to say. She did fantastic work and I love my wedding photos! The only thing I would give as a suggestion is know what you want because your day goes so quickly and you forget small things and she can't know if you don't tell her what you want. No issues, only great things. Absolutely happy and can't wait to have another reason to hire her. Just great work and love to look at my photos and remember a great day! thank you!!!!!

  We had no one in mind for our photographer when we found the June Lion website. After viewing Kelly's portfolio we knew that her style was right for our wedding and the way we wanted it to be remembered in pictures. We were worried that our small scale wedding at a rural residence wouldn't provide a lot of photographic opportunities but we couldn't have been more pleased with the way Kelly shot it. She captured our intimate and casual wedding perfectly. She is very professional from the first meeting to the delivery of the finished product, detail-minded and has a way of putting the camera-shy at ease. We're glad we chose Kelly to document these memories for us!

She is patient, good-natured, polite and above all else can keep you laughing even when you're tired of smiling.   One word: AMAZING! Kelly came all the way from Portland to Central Illinois to photograph our wedding, and we are so thankful that she did. Throughout the whole process, Kelly was quick to respond to our emails, and I didn't even really feel like she was across the country! She was so fun and wonderful to work with, and she was INCREDIBLY professional and flexible with our chaotic day and our very short window to shoot photos in before the ceremony. We are beyond thrilled with the number of images we received and how perfectly she captured every moment of our wedding day. The photos are thoughtful, artistic and beautiful.

  I can’t really even express how pleased my husband and I were with the wonderful pictures from Capture Photography. I found Capture Photography online after searching the web for days, reviewing portfolio after portfolio of different wedding photographers. Kelly’s work just resonated with us. I had hoped that the resulting photos from our engagement session and wedding day would garner at lest a few standouts like the ones displayed on her website. Well, we got those few, and many more. Now the only problem has been narrowing down the favorites for our album!
  
  We have such beautiful moments and emotions truly “captured” in photo form from this past summer, and from our wedding. Beyond the preservation of memories, Kelly’s work is also truly artful. Truly, Kelly was lovely to work with, and easy to feel comfortable around. She was very flexible, and creative in working with a variety of settings and subjects. Throughout preparations for (and follow up after) the event, Kelly was always quick to respond, and clear in her communication. When I think about all the time she invested in working with us, and the wonderful end product we received, I have to say it was a tremendous value as well.

  I can’t really even express how pleased my husband and I were with the wonderful pictures from Capture Photography. I found Capture Photography online after searching the web for days, reviewing portfolio after portfolio of different wedding photographers. Kelly’s work just resonated with us. I had hoped that the resulting photos from our engagement session and wedding day would garner at lest a few standouts like the ones displayed on her website. Well, we got those few, and many more. Now the only problem has been narrowing down the favorites for our album!
  
  We have such beautiful moments and emotions truly “captured” in photo form from this past summer, and from our wedding. Beyond the preservation of memories, Kelly’s work is also truly artful. Truly, Kelly was lovely to work with, and easy to feel comfortable around. She was very flexible, and creative in working with a variety of settings and subjects. Throughout preparations for (and follow up after) the event, Kelly was always quick to respond, and clear in her communication. When I think about all the time she invested in working with us, and the wonderful end product we received, I have to say it was a tremendous value as well.

  Despite the fact that we weren't used to having our photos taken that often, Kelly and her assistant helped make our wedding a seamless and easy experience. She was very flexible in meeting our hopes in what photos we wanted. On the day of, she worked very hard throughout and was almost invisible, getting great shots while we focused entirely on getting married. Great photographer!

  Kelly did a good job and some of the photos turned out beautiful. I was disappointed in the area she picked for the family shots as there was a visible play set seen through the trees between peoples heads. I would suggest that she go to the sight the day before the wedding if possible for scouting and take some photos first. The quality of her photos are good.

  Hello you two! I'm so sorry you weren't happy with the background of the group shots. Although I didn't scout a different day I did come early to look around, and at your site, I couldn't find an ideal location for the group photos. Either there was something in the way or there was really harsh light (it was a bright one that day!) and people would have been squinting. I tried to hide as much as possible in my composition but I'm sure the playset snuck through especially on the wider shots. You should have let me know your concern! I would have been happy to (and certainly still could) photoshop them for you. :-) Best to you both, Kelly
