Love them!

I can't say enough good things about this boutique! I knew as soon as I walked in that I'd find the dress. Nan was my consultant and she made me feel so welcomed and didn't pressure me into buying anything. Once I said yes to my dress, the seamstress did wonders alternating it to fit perfectly and Amy at the front of the shop was always super nice and friendly! Would definitely recommend this shop to anyone!

Great selection of dresses and the kindest team of consultants!

Susan, Michelle, and the entire team at Bridal Couture of Birmingham were the BEST to work with for my wedding dress. I went to 10 stores and ultimately found my gown at BCB. They had a gorgeous selection of designers at a great range of prices. They worked with me to provide customizations to make my dress look and feel perfect. They made me feel comfortable and like my wedding and dress were the most important thing to them in that moment. Scheduling fittings was easy and they made every attempt to accommodate my schedule and communicate with me in advance. I ended up needing 5 fittings to make my dress perfect, and I'm so grateful that they were there to support me. Thank you, BCB team! You're the best!

Best Salon, Best Staff, Best Everything

There aren’t enough stars out there to rate how incredible my experience with Bridal Couture was. First with my sister’s bridal experience, including bridesmaids dresses, then a close friend’s bridal experience, and then my own experience. Every single step of each process was top notch, from the very first shopping appt to the fittings and alterations. Amy and her staff went above and beyond. Highly recommend this wonderful salon!

Amazing Experience!

I literally can't sing their praises enough at Bridal Couture. From the moment I walked in, I knew that I had walked into the right place. They were always so helpful and caring through the process of buying and altering my dress. Nan made me feel extremely comfortable and confident through the try-on process and helped me pick out dresses that were what I was envisioning in my head. Amy was always attentive whenever I came in or called through the process and always had any answers I needed readily available. Alterations came out perfect and the dress looked perfect on my wedding day. I received so many compliments on my dress on the day of and since then. I am so glad that I had Bridal Couture beside me through the whole process. I would highly recommend this shop to everyone.

The best place to find a wedding dress

Amy and Nan were so enjoyable to work with! They truly care and really know their dresses. They quickly figured out what I was looking for and helped me find the perfect wedding dress and jumpsuit for an outfit change. Out of all the bridal shops I visited, Bridal Couture offered the best selection of designer dresses and the best service. Their seamstress was talented, and I was very happy with the fit of my dress and alterations. We also got the bridesmaids dresses here. It was quick and easy, and everyone looked great.

Amazing experience!

Bridal Couture is the best!

As a bride, one of the most important things is the dress, of course behind who the bride is marrying. This is the stable item at a wedding that everyone looks at and notices about the bride. I had no idea what type of dress I wanted – I just knew it had to have some sparkle. I had set up 10-15 appointments with different salons, however, I only needed one. Bridal Couture of Birmingham is an amazing bridal dress shop. They have a variety of dresses for every style, shape, and size. The customer service you receive is like no other. I am a bride with some curves and was actually dreading dress shopping. However, from the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel flawless. They were always reminding me of how beautiful I am. I remember crying after picking out my dress because at that moment, I felt happy and strong and pretty. And I am so thankful for Bridal Couture and their staff for helping me find my stunning dress and for always reminding me that I am beautiful, even when I didn’t always believe it. That was one of the key reasons I loved this wedding salon – because of how they make you feel. They make you feel on top of the world when I was there trying on my dress – every time – and that is how every bride should feel. I was lucky enough to find a dress through the Hayley Paige trunk show – I did not know what a trunk show was until I was there. Basically, designers send more dresses to the shop. These dresses are only there for a few days and they have some specials going as well. I feel in love with my dress – and I received so many compliments. I also want you to know how invested the staff is. I could really tell they enjoy their job and it makes them happy to make brides happy. I had many appointments from picking out the dress to picking up the dress. Each time I left the shop, I left smiling from ear to ear. They do a wonderful job at making sure your dress is absolutely flawless for your wedding. They did all my alterations as well as steaming the dress right before I picked it up. The owner, Amy, was always making sure it looked perfect. She would study the dress and pick out the smallest imperfections (that most of the time I didn’t even see) and made sure they were fixed. You can find beautiful wedding dresses everywhere, but what you can’t find is the service that Bridal Couture gives you. That is the reason every bride should go visit Bridal Couture of Birmingham. They made me one gorgeous, happy bride and I am beyond thankful for that!

Just amazing

Bridal Couture was my second and final stop in my quest for the perfect wedding dress. I didn't have time to order a dress so I know my options were limited to sample dresses in stock. Jacqueline was AMAZING...so took the time to help me try on many dresses and made us laugh and thoroughly enjoy the experience. When it came down to the final 2 dresses...she provided thoughtful suggestions but never pushy ...just sweet, kind and wonderful. And don't let me forget to tell you about my alteration experience. Debbie was INCREDIBLE. Everything was done to perfection. I just LOVED my dress and the experieince with Bridal Couture in Plymouth was the absolute best.

The Bridal Store You Want to Keep Visiting

I must say that I knew Bridal Couture is where I would get my wedding dress of my dreams. Ever since I was a maid of honor and went to this store with my Bf Amy almost 5 years ago. Anyway, I selected my dream dress by Enzonai, and they helped me find the perfect matching jacket and veils. Jacqueline and Carol were always there to greet me with a smile and felt a part of the process, we loved going to see the dress and them. Honestly going to miss working with such an awesome vendor. Deb, the seamstress, does fantastic work and with a smile too. We also selected our bridesmaid dresses from the shop in Birmingham, quite helpful too and everything on time.

Great experience!

I had the best experience at Bridal Couture of Plymouth! I have been to soooo many different bridal shops and was not finding “my” dress. I called one day after an appointment I had in Plymouth and Jacqueline was so kind and let me come in spontaneously by myself. I tried on MY dress that evening and Jacqueline was so kind, funny & helpful with the entire experience. I brought my mom and friend back two days later and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and moments that I shared with them. She made it so fun for all three of us! I highly recommend!

When it came to planning my wedding, finding my dress was the hardest part. After going to 15+ bridal salons and finding the same dress over and over I finally stumbled upon Bridal Couture of Plymouth. They had designers that the other salons didn't. When I walked in i found my dressing hanging in the front and I knew it was the one! When I tried it on it was perfectly made for me (I swear). I had SO many compliments on my wedding day that my dress was so perfect and so unique and unlike a lot of wedding dresses which was exactly what i was looking for. Something different, modern and classy. The ladies at Bridal Couture of Plymouth were SO amazing and helpful. The seamstress there is also amazingly talented. I would recommend this bridal salon 100%. Check it out you will not be disappointed.

I absolutely adore my wedding from my Bridal Couture of Birmingham! It was the first dress I tried on and I didn't want to take it off! I purchased a beautiful sample dress from them which brought it down into my price range. They had me do three fittings and with each one I felt more and more special! They helped with ideas on shoes, how to wear my hair, gave me fitting/alterations suggestions, etc. The alterations team worked incredibly hard to make sure I was comfortable and confident the day of my wedding. We even purchased my girl's bridesmaids dresses from them (which all turned out gorgeous!)

Bridal Couture provided amazing service every step of the way! They were respectful of my budget and were so patient with this picky bride. Michelle ended up putting me in a dress I never would have picked for myself and of course, it was the one! They use their expertise to help you with what will look best on your body. I will warn that their samples are on the smaller side. I'm a street size 2/4 and their samples fit me like a glove. Not to say that it wouldn't be an amazing experience otherwise but I have seen some reviews that echo this.

Not only do they sell you an amazing gown but they walk you through all of the details:
-What under garments to wear
-How to handle and not handle the dress
-How to hang it
-What accessories look best
-Dressing and undressing process

I would absolutely recommend Bridal Couture (Birmingham) to any bride!

I started my dress shopping 5 months out from our wedding date :/ Which after visiting the first couple Bridal stores I found out to be a BIG NO NO and was told I wasn't going to be able to find the dress I want, and that I am just going to have to settle for something off the sample racks. Bridal Couture was the only store that made me feel like it wasnt too late and that I was still going to find the Wedding Dress of my Dreams. I visited the Birmingham and Plymouth stores in MI and both were by far the nicest and cleanest stores I had been to. Because of the staff at the Plymouth store I found the perfect dress and veil for my big day! I was still able to order them and get all my alterations done it time for my big day! I can not say enough good things about this store and would/will recommend it to everyone! <3

I am so happy that I chose to purchase my dress at Bridal Couture! Starting with my first appointment trying on dresses up to the day that I brought my dress home, I truly had a wonderful experience with them. The employees went above and beyond to make sure I was happy and that everything ran smoothly from start to finish. They have a large selection of high quality dresses that work with brides' different tastes, body types and budgets. They offer in store alterations and the seamstresses made certain that I was completely satisfied with the way my dress fit. I really appreciate how they made the whole process completely stress free. My bridesmaids were also able to purchase their dresses here, and we loved their large selection for them as well! Bridal Couture of Plymouth was the by far the best Bridal shop I have ever been too!! Carol, Jacqueline, and Debbie really cater to the Bride's needs. The customer service at this store was superb. Dress shopping was a lot less stressful at this place because they want the Brides to be Happy!!! The ladies at this store made sure my dress was packed nicely because I was having a destination wedding. Since I purchased my dress only a few months before my wedding they made sure to have my dress rushed order. They also made sure my bridal party knew how to bustle my dress for the big day. The store was never crowded so you can shop comfortably and ask as many questions as needed. I really miss talking to the ladies at Bridal Couture of Plymouth. Thank you for being one of the best wedding vendors I had and for making my dress shopping experience unforgettable.You will be truly happy if you say yes to your dress at Bridal Couture in Plymouth!

When searching for a non-traditional wedding dress, that has a splash of color and all of the elegance of a traditional gown, I cannot suggest Bridal Couture of Birmingham enough. I had searched high and low, for something that was as unique as the experience of getting married. Something everyone would remember, not just my husband. I didn't expect to find such an amazing, one of a kind dress at this location, but I did. And of all of the bridal shops in the area, this was the first I wasn't just going to have to 'settle' with.
Everyone at this location, from the owner, to the seamstresses, was wonderful to work with. The dress itself was incredibly affordable, and the alterations were reasonable to boot. I found it wonderfully fulfilling discussing dress alterations with the seamstresses, and taking in their feedback and suggestions on other attire to pair with the dress. Being the experts they are, they helped me pull off my best look for my wedding, and provided me with a dress to remember!
I couldn't be more proud & grateful of the final product, and the effect it had on my wedding guests. I'll forever have the best memories and photographs of how it surprised my husband, and how it made my day as perfect as could be.

Go to Bridal Couture with an open mind, and prepare to have your mind blown, as your perfect day will have gotten even better!

I cannot say enough positive things about Bridal Couture! I purchased my dress from their Birmingham store and fell in love with it immediately. The staff were very gracious and helpful, still indulged me while I tried on a few other dresses, then the one I picked again - to make sure it really was THE dress. My appointment was in the middle of the day during the week, so it was quiet in the store and both of the staff members there were able to give their thoughts and really help guide me. I'm far from a size 2, but was pleasantly surprised when I found a size 14 on the rack. This gave me a great idea of how it would look on and then alterations that would be needed. I walked away with a huge smile on my face after such a happy experience finding THE dress!

Speaking of alterations...WOW. Their alterations girl (Michelle) is AMAZING. I had a few concerns with buckling around the straps and she came up with some suggestions that fixed exactly what I was worried about so I wouldn't be self conscious on our big day. She also came up with some creative ideas for how I could incorporate my "something old" into the dress and it worked perfect. I live out of town so she worked quickly and was able to get the alterations done (and done well) in two fittings so when I left after the second fitting, I knew my dress was going to fit perfectly on our wedding day.

I was a lucky bride and got to wear my dress twice - once to our actual ceremony and then again to a reception in my home town. EVERY SINGLE PERSON commented on how perfect the dress was and how amazing it looked on me. I know, I was the bride, but I think they were right!! It was an absolutely gorgeous dress, purchased in a fabulous store with friendly and helpful people. I would not hesitate to recommend this store to anyone - in town or out of town!

The ladies at Bridal Couture took the stress out of dress shopping and made sure that I found the perfect gown! I immediately felt welcomed by Jacqueline and her team as we began to select options that fit my vision and style. We worked within my budget and found my dream wedding dress! Once the staff had made sure I was more than happy with my selection, we set up an appointment to return and look for bridesmaid's dresses. Again, they had a wonderful selection of dresses and my consultant was extremely helpful as we made our decision. Alterations were handled professionally and Debbie did such amazing, quality work. I loved my experience with Bridal Couture and would recommend them to any bride.

helpful staff, the woman who does the alterations is really good at what she does, we basically took a dress off the rack, and re-envisioned it to be something more of what I wanted (lowered the back, brought it in, added pockets and sleeves, etc). great experience.

Jacqueline, in Plymouth was an absolute Scottish angel !!!! From the minute we walked into the shop for our first appt and she waved her Halloween wand and said in her Scottish accent, "we will make all of your dreams, come true" until the time to pick up my altered and pressed gown and movie-actress style shawl, my experience was perfect!
Cindy, Jacqueline's asst. was so enthusiatic and patient, as well.
Jacqueline asked me the correct questions to understand my desires for my dress and brought me many possibilities to try on. When we ALL had decided that this one was "it", she made me feel like a princess!
Debbie, the seamtress was so talented, knowledgeable and obviously works well with Jacqueline, an important factor.

I walked in on a Saturday, one of the busiest days for trying on bridal gowns, and was met with a friendly welcome. Even without an appointment I was given great customer service. I tried on 5 different dresses with assistance and found the perfect one that day!! It was a floor sample with a great price. It did need to be cleaned since it was a floor sample. It was worth getting the perfect dress and at the perfect price. Thanks Bridal Couture!!!

I went to a few other bridal stores and none of them came close to providing me with the amazing service I received from the whole staff at Bridal Couture. Everything was very calming and had a posh look to it. I feel like I tried on everything in the store and loved it all, but truly fell in love with my dress by Jim Helm Blush. The consultants and seamstresses worked with me to add special touches that really made my dress unique. I wish more than anything I could wear it over and over!! I loved my dress from Bridal Couture of Birmingham - it was an Alvina Valenta. The appointment went very smoothly and the saleswoman was top notch. I had been to several other stores and found either great service but not great dresses or great dresses and terrible service. They had both great service and a great selection - we even found my bridesmaid dresses at their Plymouth store. I cannot wait for the photographers pictures - I felt beautiful and I thought I, and all my bridesmaids, looked amazing :)

I had an awful at the other bridal salons I went to, but when I walked into Bridal Couture of Plymouth it was like a breath of fresh air. I only had four and a half months to order a dress and was planning to buy off the rack, but they assured me that I could order a dress and get it in time.

The women who work there were lovely and very helpful and kind. I only tried on one dress there and I knew it was the one! It came in plenty of time for the wedding, only took a few weeks to alter, and was perfect for our day!

Originally I wanted to keep things simplistic for my Iceland destination wedding. I had planned to buy my dress vintage on Ebay. Against my will, my wonderful mother made an appointment here to just give them a whirl. We tried on 5 dresses, fell in love with one, left to go to a few other shops and instantly were back- we had found it!

The lovely ladies at Bridal Couture of Plymouth do an amazing job! The store is clean, staff is friendly and helpful, and the dresses are no cookie cutter. Loved them, my dress, and the helpfulness of everyone. We were doing a destination wedding and they went out of their way to package the dress perfectly for transport.

Had a really great experience at Bridal Couture in Birmingham. Had visited a few boutiques when looking for my dress and found "the one" here! It was gorgeous and the staff was so helpful- they were the ones to suggest it to me. Great price variations and tons of dresses to look at. They never make you feel uncomfortable (especially if you are on a budget) and were great to work with for my alteration process. Especially loved working with Carol; and can thank her for finding my dress for me! Would highly recommend checking it out!

Bridal Couture were absolutely wonderful. I was looking for a specific type of design and they were able to help me find it. Also, their alterations were amazing. The dress had a ton of detail and they worked extra hard to make it perfect. The day that I cam in to pick up my dress, we were all emotional and they wished me a wonderful wedding day. Sarah is simply a SAINT! She is friendly, professional, and so knowledgeable about all the dresses in the store, what complements your body type, and just about anything and everything related to finding THE dress! I looked at several other stores (from Florida to Michigan) and found myself easily overwhelmed by endless choices, pushy sales personnel, or (in many cases) ignored because of budget concerns. Sarah made me feel beautiful, comfortable, and I ended up thoroughly enjoying my dress shopping experience. The store has so many dresses and options, and prices in every range so I was able to find one within my budget! Will recommend to everyone - this place is the BEST!

The gown my daughter choose at Bridal Couture was her dream gown. The consultants were wonderful. They took the time with her that she needed. Deciding on what she wanted for her gown was hard but they helped make it much easier. She got to look through the gowns and choose what she wanted to try on. The consultant suggested a few other styles after she saw her in the gowns and she picked the most amazing gown. The experience turned out to be wonderful. The store and staff are very warm and welcoming. I have already recommended them to my niece. Bridal Couture made this experience better then we could imagine. I can't wait to see my daughter in her beautiful gown on her wedding day.

Jacqueline, Claire, Cindy and Debbie make a wonderful team. Claire mainly helped me out picking out the perfect dress even though that I could not bring my own accompanies she was always there giving me the best piece of advices about dress picking.

Also, since I planned a destination wedding I had to send my wedding dress to a different state and Claire was able to arrange all the shipping for me so that I did not have had to worry about traveling with my dress.

I found my dream wedding dress and my bridesmaid dresses at Bridal Couture of Birmingham. The service was great, Carol and Carol were helpful throughout the process. I didn't have any issues to speak of and they also helped to accomodate fittings for a couple of bridesmaids from out of town that could only make it at certain times. Additionally, my dress was "couture" for a very reasonable budget. I felt like a dream walking down the aisle.

Definitely give Bridal Couture of Plymouth a chance when looking for wedding gowns! Although it wasn't at the top of my shopping list I'm sure glad I stepped in. My wedding was over a year ago and I still think about the "Carols" and Amy from bridal coture. I loved them there. There store is older but big and comfortable and they were wonderful with my decisions and my dress. The "Carols" made me feel like I was family and helped me every step of the way. I went to quite a few bridal shops in search of THE dress, and none of them compared to the quality of service, cleanliness, and attentiveness of Bridal Couture. No pushy sales people here, but instead a nice staff who just wants to help you find your dream dress. My dress ended up being $500 UNDER budget, which says a lot given most other shops try and push you to go $500 OVER budget!
The only minor issue I had was with alterations. Prior to purchasing the dress, I discussed with the salon that I wanted the straps removed and altered into a strapless sweetheart neckline, which I was told would be no problem. I pre-paid a set price for alterations. When the dress came in, the seamstress was a little stand-off'ish and was insisting I should keep the straps, even though I knew I didn't want them. I ended up leaving my first alteration appointment with straps on the dress. Luckily after looking at pictures with a friend and confirming yes- I hated the straps, she convinced me to go back to the salon and insist the seamstress do what I wanted and what I had paid for. The dress ended up looking beautiful and exactly as I had pictured, it was just a bit of a setback to have to basically beg the seamstress to do what I wanted and what I had paid for.

Julie's Bridal Couture is a wonderful bridal shop. I found a georgous Pronovias dress, bought my finger tip veil, flower girl dress, jr. bridesmaid dress and wedding beaded clutch from them.

It is a great family business, knew they would take good care of me and they did. For this being a rather stressful experience, Carol made it fun and even when I had buyer's remore, Amy let me change my gown the next day...and she and I were so glad we did...it was a perfect dress for my perfect wedding.

This store was purchased a couple of years ago...so those brides who had bad experiences, it is not the same ownership. They have a ton of dresses, different sizes and different price points. I highly recommend them!

I've been shopping for my wedding dress for the last few months; Bridal Couture was the first store I went to and after looking at other stores I decided to take my mom, mother-in-law, aunt, sister and grandma back to Bridal Couture once I narrowed it down to a few options; that day I decided to purchased my dress!

I was extremely overwhelmed when I made my decision and was having second thoughts; Bridal Couture called me to confirm the sash color and I thought it was a sign to put my order on hold and go back to try it on again. I ended up talking to the owner and I told her I was having second thoughts and she recommended having me come in prior to the store opens by myself to try the dress or any other dresses on. She also insisted on being my personal bridal consultant during my visit. I ended going back by myself and tried on 2 other dresses I was going back and forth between but when I tried on the dress I purchased I knew it was 'The Dress'!

Everyone at Bridal Couture has been extremely accomdating and professional. I would highly recommend Bridal Couture to any bride looking for their dream dress! They have a great selection but not an overwhelming amount! I'm looking forward to getting the phone call that my dress is in and going back to the salon to pick out my bridesmaid dresses!!!! Beautiful Selection and Amazing Owner

I ended up getting my dress here and it was a great decision! I am a huge second guesser and Amy the store owner was wonderful with me and was so understanding and did everything she could to re-assure me and come up with great suggestions throughout the alterations process. I am a bit of a "everything has to be perfect" person/bride and I know I can be tough to deal with! Amy was awesome. Her seamstress was incredibly talented and overall did just a superb job with the alterations. I only have two negative things to say about this shop: 1) The girl who originally sold me my dress before Amy got involved, Sarah, really did not make the experience that special for me. I felt kind of rushed and that she was all about the sale. When she took my measurements and reviewed them with me, it did not even occur to me to order extra length. Being 5'10 and being caught up in the excitement, you would think this is something, since its her job, she would have that she would have brought up to me. Now luckily, my dress length ended up being perfect (especially because I ended up randomly losing a significant amount of weight). I was really glad that Amy took over. My personality just never jived with Sarah's. My second complaint would just be their store hours. This may just be me, because since I wanted Amy to be there whenever I came in, I knew there were certain days and hours she wasn't at the store. But I would like to see them extend their hours a little bit. Its hard for us girls working full time to get in for fittings in the middle of the work day. Amy's shop is full of beautiful gowns and she takes her work so seriously. I will tell you that my dress did not cost a fortune (it actually came in wayyyy under my original budget), and Amy saw my vision and it was truly perfect. They have amazing options at various price points and definitely have beautiful affordable options. It is a small shop but one filled with love and great options. It was important to me to give a local store my business. I would definitely recommend. I got my bridal gown and my veil there.

I got my wedding dress here and it was an overall positive experience. After shopping around at 1/2 a dozen stores in MI and Chicago, I found a dress here that was a knock out and way under my budget. They have alot of lovely dresses and overall the staff was very friendly and accommodating. I ended up moving out of state 6 months before the wedding and the store worked with me to get alteration done in accordance with my travel schedule, even when I had to reschedule last minute. I also loved my seamsess. She did a wonderful job and addressed all of my concerns. My only complaint is that this store keeps somewhat inconvenient hours (no mornings and closed on Tuesday), this is probably better for most people, but with having a limited time frame, I found it difficult to get ahold of people or make appointments

I was extremely happy with the price of my dress. The alterations were really pricey for what I had done (all I had done was the dress needed some shortening because I'm 5'1) so by the time I paid for those, it evened out with the budget I wanted to keep. The owner and most of the staff were amazing. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because I did have one woman that worked there that was really kind of rude- she had trouble helping me zip the dress so she thought it was a size issue. When she couldn't zip it she asked me "why did you buy this size?" A few minutes later someone else came in and zipped it right up. Also alterations were a lot more expensive than other shops where my friends got their dresses from. Everything else was great. Did alterations on time. Also got a veil from there on sale was $950 and bought it for $150. Owner really does a nice job on making sure clients are happy.

I found a beautiful dress at the store in Plymouth and was thrilled to work with their sales associate. The first lady I met when I was still selecting my dress did try to talk up a fairly expensive dress, but the second associate that I worked with after that was wonderful. My dress was under $800, including the alterations, which were done quickly. After the first round of alterations, there was one change that wasn't quite what I had hoped for and they were happy to make another adjustment for the final fitting. They were very helpful in getting the bridesmaid dresses. Especially when estimating the size for a newly pregnant bridesmaid who would be 7.5 months along at the time of the wedding! Her dress came and and fit beautifully after only a few simple alterations.

I can't say enough good things about Amy, the owner, and the alterations department! I tried on dresses at multiple bridal salons in different cities, and I had an amazing experience with Amy at Bridal Couture! I ended up trying on my dress at another store, but ordered it from Bridal Couture. Amy also helped me select a custom length veil that I was super happy with! I was a little indecisive during the bridal gown process, and she really helped guide me and put me at ease. I felt like she got to know my personality and vision for the day and I knew I was in good hands at all times. The alterations department did a fabulous job shortening my train and making adjustment to the lining and stitching of my dress. Their prices are very competitive and I felt that every penny I spent on alterations was well worth it! I felt beautiful on my wedding day and am very grateful to Amy and the Bridal Couture team!

Bridal Couture was a great place to get my dress! Since it is a boutique - it is unlike the other chain bridal stores you will go to. I walked in and showed them of a dress I love (totally nontraditional) and they were able to find something that was similar. Keep in mind that most of the dresses are hand made so you need to allow time to have it made and shipped (mine took Jan-late April). Beautiful dress!

I found my perfect dress here, my bridesmaid's dress, and my mom's dress here. The have since moved locations, and I liked the old one better, BUT the people are still friendly and accommodating. Every time I've called and scheduled an appointment they've been super helpful since I come in from out of state. I know that they have made exceptions for me on weekends. It is a pricy place, but the designers they have are high end and worth the money if that's what you're looking for. I wish that they had champagne when you said yes to the dress, and they have a lot of younger girls working the front desk so sometimes it's a little slow if they don't know what they're doing. Other than that, I've had a pleasant experience and I can't wait to wear my dress on the big day!

I loved my dress. However, my dress was too long. They were to shorten it, but it was still too long. I ended up tripping walking down the aisle. Also, found a drop of blood where they apparently sewed and they never told me. I found it on my wedding day. Was not happy with those two things. Wouldn't go back because of those two things.

I found my wedding dress at Bridal Couture of Birmingham and initially had a good experience. The salon is clean, quiet, and the owner and staff were friendly and professional. I purchased a dress and they gave me the trunk show discount even though I had missed the show by 1 day, which came to a substantial amount of money discounted. When my dress came in, I drove quite a distance to see it and try it on, and due to terrible traffic and a long drive (1.5 hours) was late by about 20 minutes, but still there 40 minutes before the store closed. I was so embarassed to be late for the appointment but it couldn't be helped and expected at least some understanding from them. Unfortunately when I got there, it could not have been more obvious my tardiness was a huge "inconvenience" to the saleswoman. She rushed me in and out of my dress so quickly I didn't have time to even look at it, refused to take pictures for me to send to my mom who lives out of state and had never seen it, and reminded me repeatedly that I was late. She ended up changing into her regular clothes and walked out in front of me, leaving me and the owner to settle the final balance - still with 15 minutes before the store closed at 6pm. I couldn't understand why she was so upset when we were still able to be finished before close, and I expected more courteous behavior especially after spending more than 5,000 dollars on the gown, accessories, and alterations with them. I was very disappointed after that day and because of the service, am hesitant to give them a more glowing review. Fortunately, when I came for my fittings, the staff were excellent, friendly, and kind. The alteration work on my dress was flawless and it looked absolutely perfect the day of the wedding. In the end everything worked out and I really love my dress, but I just wish I'd had a more positive experience every time I went there.

The shop had a lot of dresses to choose from and specifically had the designer I was looking for which is how I ended up there. Overall the service was good. There were times that I felt pressured into decisions I knew I wasn't comfortable but with but after expressing my concern they worked with me. Some of the women are not the friendliest but I looked past that because I was so in love with my dress. Everything was done in a timely manner and my dress turned out beautiful!

I purchased my wedding dress, veil, and wrap from Bridal Couture. When I picked everything up, I looked at all of the pieces and everything looked good. I had to transport the dress across the state 4 hours. When I arrived at the location of our wedding, I pulled the dress out and in natural light I found an area on the front of the dress that was discolored. It was an ivory dress and it had an area that appeared to be white. In addition, there was a very small pin point whole that was in the center of the discolored area. My suggestion is to really check everything before you leave the store. As the wedding was out of town, there was nothing that could be done. We also had a problem with the zipper on the bag the dress came in. It came off in the my hand the first time that I zipped up the bag making the zipper unable to be used.

I found the sales staff to be very rushed. The overall impression I got was that they were very nterested in making the sale, versus making sure I was happy.
The sales person suggested I buy one size smaller, even though the sample I tried fit perfectly. Despite losing 5 pound, when my dress came in, it didn't fit. I took it to another another place to have it altered. The seamstress ended up having to rip out the back and change from zipper to lace up. Very disappointing.

I walked in and didn't realize I was supposed to come dressed as if I was in a beauty pageant. Apparently jeans and a sweater is frowned upon. Quickly given a "no" when asked if I could just walk around and browse (not try on bc I knew I needed an appointment) however they were able to fit me in for an hour (not their usual 90 minute) appointment to try on dresses.

I would not recommend the shop in Birmingham. When I called to make my appointment I told them exactly what I was looking for and the price range I wanted to stay under. (Which by the way was $2500 - I didn't think that was too low). When I got to the shop for the appointment the consultant asked what I was looking for and I told her the same thing I told them on the phone. She responded in a demeaning tone "Well, I can tell you right now we have nothing like that in this store". I looked around for 10 minutes and left!
