Julie is incredible!!!

Julie made all of my makeup dreams come true. She was so easy to work with and did my makeup in a way that matched my style to a T. I was looking for something very light & neutral. She really went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and loved the makeup. She is so friendly and down to earth. All of my bridesmaids loved her!! I am so thankful we found her and cannot recommend her highly enough!

If you want to look and feel amazing on your wedding day, Julie is your girl!

Julie did make-up for myself and my wedding party. She was amazing to work with-incredibly professional in her work while still feeling like a friend in the room. I had to add another girl last minute and she was so efficient that it didn't even impact her timeline. All of my bridesmaids my mom, and mother-in-law raved about how amazing they looked! Julie was so comfortable to have getting ready with and made the environment so fun and relaxing.

Amazing experience!

I am so grateful to Julie. Not only did she do an incredible job on the wedding day makeup for me, my bridal party, and mom/MIL, but she was so flexible. We had a funky timeline set up for the day of the wedding that involved some additional travel for Julie, and she took it on without any issue.
I did a trial with Julie as well which was so helpful. She asked a lot of questions about what I wanted and what my normal makeup routine is. When I explained how minimally I apply makeup, she was quick to provide suggestions and help me nail the look that I wanted for my wedding.
Overall, fantastic experience working with Julie. I'd highly recommend hiring her!

Look no further brides, Julie is the person to call

When I first found Julie I knew I liked her work but I have to admit I was a little nervous because I'd only had 2 other experiences with professional makeup, 1 which was great and 1 not so great. After contacting Julie and talking with her some I felt at ease and knew I was making the right choice by going with her. A few months before the wedding was my trial which was free since I was the bride and it wasn't a 30 minute session like I was expecting, this was over an hour of Julie getting to know what I typically wear, what colors I wear, taking notes on me and really wanting to make sure she nailed my look. What I loved about the trial was she gave me some tips, told me what products she was using (yes I went out and bought my own after the fact because I loved it) and she took a TON of photos of me for me to share and for her to use in case need be on wedding day.
Speaking of wedding day, Julie was awesome. She showed up early, we had a schedule made a few weeks in advance for the order of my bridal party and she had a positive and calming demeanor about her to keep me calm. She asked each person having makeup done their typical colors and what they wear and she made them look fabulous. For me, she was referring back to her notes, talking with me about any tweaks I might want and she was just so friendly. Thanks again for the advice about the sunsets Julie :).
Julie stayed around on wedding day to make sure we all had final touches and were all happy. You'll look like yourself and natural but at the same time done up and you'll look like that your entire wedding day/night. I've already shared her info with a few girls and I highly recommend her!

Fantastic Makeup Artist

An Amazing Makeup Artist!

It was such a joy to work with Julie! My mom and my bridesmaid were all raving on how she did a fabulous job on all makeup. On top of being talented, she is super sweet and so fun to talk to. I went to have my trial with my mom and we had the best time talking to her while we were getting our makeup done. 110% recommend!

Incredibly Responsive and Helpful

Julie was incredibly kind and helpful! She responded to all of my emails quickly and thoroughly, without even a promise of a contract. She exchanged more than 5 in depth emails with me over just a few days, answering my many questions.

I was not able to book Julie for my makeup services, but I am so appreciative for all her help! Because of COVID-19, my venue strictly requires an esthetician license or cosmetology license and Certificate of Insurance. Unfortunately after years in the industry, Julie does not keep these. Julie was very understanding of this restriction and graciously provided me other vendor's names for my big day. I'm certain that the process of working with her and her makeup services would have both been wonderful! Ultimately, her information and recommendations helped guide my planning and booking, and I would certainly contact her for other events and recommend her to others!

A True Artist!

Julie is a true artist. From our first meeting a my trial to my wedding day she made me feel like a movie star. I have rosacea and was concerned about how airbrushed make up would set and she showed med just how fantastic it could look and even helped me find a misty riser and primer for my every day wear. My bridesmaids and Mom could not stop raving about her work and amazing personality. I’m so grateful that she was apart of my day!

A friend of mine recommended Julie, and I am so glad I acted on that recommendation! Julie was a pleasure to work with throughout our planning period. I am not someone who wears a lot of make-up on a day-to-day basis and she was able to give me a natural look at my trial that wore flawlessly throughout the day. Amazing Make-up

Julie was a complete joy to work with from start to finish! She was extremely responsive, so easy to schedule and work with and on the actual day of my wedding, invaluable! The make-up she did for me, my bridesmaids and mother and mother-in-law was unbelievable. So natural and gorgeous and stayed on all night! She tailored the make-up to everyone's needs and everyone commented on how happy they were with their makeup. She was with me from the morning of my wedding up until the ceremony and she kept me calm and the mood light when I started to feel stressed. I cannot recommend Julie enough and I wish I could give her more than 5 stars!!

I got to know Julie during my time as a bridesmaid. Julie did my makeup bright and early and my makeup lasted till 2 am From that point on I knew I wanted her when I became a bride. I loved my makeup trail and getting to know her one on one. She took notes of exactly what I wanted and was fully prepared on our wedding day. She drove to Pinehurst, NC to help me, my eight bridesmaids, mother of the groom, and my mother get ready. She listened to what each person wanted and the makeup was beautiful! I also love that she puts on the fake eye lashes! The airbrush is so relaxing! I highly recommend Julie for your big day! If I ever need my makeup done Julie will be the one I use!

The bomb! Julie Robbins is fun, talented and responsive! She made our entire wedding party look amazing. She took the time to listen to each girl and get the look they wanted. Julie did a phenomenal job on me, my bridesmaids and my Mom on my wedding day. She was so patient with me throughout the whole process. It rained nonstop all day prior to our ceremony and was pretty humid on top of that but my makeup never budged once! Julie did a beautiful job on all ages. We were particularly appreciative that she listened to each of us & was respectful of the more natural looks we wanted, yet all were truly beautiful . It was the best any of us has ever looked! As a psychotherapist I can say that Julie's best skills are her calm, unhurried manner. At a time when everyone feels frantic in those final hours we were all calm, had fun and enjoyed the experience. Who else can provide zen moments then ?Finally, she taught each of us make up skills and suggested beauty items to achieve our appearance goals on an every day basis. What a wonderful experience ! Julie was amazing to work with! We have never felt so beautiful in our lives. It was truly amazing how she listened to what we liked and created a masterpiece without our faces feeling heavy with makeup. The airbrush finish felt amazing and lasted all night and her eye makeup and lashed were spectacular. We had skin tones ranging from very fair to very dark. We HIGHLY recommend Julie to anyone.

Julie was a joy to work with and is so talented. I got married at the courthouse, so I traveled to her for the trial and day-of makeup, and she instantly made us feel welcomed in her home. She even let my sister and I change at her house before we headed to the ceremony! She took the time to look at my inspiration photos, ask about my normal makeup routine and products, and educate me on what she was doing/using. What I appreciated the most was that when I came back day-of, she had been looking at the photos from my trial and had a suggestion about a color change. The fact that she didn't just repeat what she'd done before, and instead really cared about what it would look like on me, shows what a true professional she is. I highly recommend her!

We truly enjoyed having Julie as a part of our wedding day! I had my make up done by Julie as a bridesmaid previously, and once again she did an amazing job for my own wedding day! Julie was absolutely incredible at every step in this process. All of my bridesmaids remarked on how much they liked their makeup, and Julie was extremely accommodating with every request- she insisted that we were happy by the end of it! Enjoyed going to her house for a trial and she was extremely easy to work with. I have a ton of freckles and I didn't want to cover them up and was very happy with the results. Julie was the sweetest! She was referred to me by one of my good friends and I am so happy I went with her for my wedding! She has an amazing personality and talked me through everything from the very beginning. She made sure to check-in after the trial and took extensive notes at the trial. All of my bridesmaids loved her and their make-up and my mom (who was very concerned about her "older" skin) looked gorgeous and was very pleased with her make-up as well. The airbrush and the false lashes (and all of the make-up) held up through 85 degree weather, tears, and sweat. Julie is full of great vendor recommendations and referred me to the hair stylist we ended up using - thank you so much for everything Julie!

I had my makeup done by Julie in 2014 for my sister-in-law's wedding and she did an amazing job. So I knew when I got engaged I had to reach out to Julie to do the makeup for my wedding. I had no idea how expensive it was to be beautiful, but Julie is worth EVERY penny. She made me, my bridesmaids, and my mom all feel like the most beautiful versions of ourselves. She took so much time during my trial prior to the wedding to make sure everything was perfect and just how I had envisioned myself to look. She also took a lot of time to research different types of makeup to use due to an allergy my mom has to makeup. Julie is professional, yet fun at the same time. She was a joy to spend the very early morning hours with on the wedding day!

I first experienced Julie's amazing make-up artistry at my brother's wedding. I have oily, acne-prone skin, and her make-up stayed EXACTLY the same from the second she put it on my face, to the moment when I washed it off of my face. No shine, no creasing, nothing... even with the constant smiling/laughing/crying. The best part, it did not even clog my pores or cause breakouts the next few days. Julie makes you feel more beautiful than you could ever imagine. Also, the trial run worked out great, especially having this in conjunction with bridal portraits. The trial run allows you to tweak anything you want. Julie is very open to your opinion and makes you feel comfortable to tell her exactly what you want. She is definitely there for you. On the day of the wedding, she was the first one to show up. She was very prompt, taking that stress away on wedding day. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Julie was a dream to work with! She was very responsive through the entire process and communicating with her was so easy. She is such a caring person and I felt incredibly comfortable around her. She fit right in with all the girls when getting ready on the big day, and everyone loved her. I absolutely adored my makeup! Julie called it 'naturally dramatic. and understood exactly when I said that I was looking for something outside of my typical comfort zone but that still looked natural and elegant. The airbrush makeup was so light, and I hardly felt like I was wearing anything at all. Julie even made my mom and mom-in-law feel comfortable in airbrush and *gasp!* fake lashes, too! It all showed up wonderfully in pictures. I just can't say enough complimentary things about Julie. You will not be disappointed if you choose her to do your wedding makeup.

Stop thinking and just book Julie! I am very picky when it comes to makeup and I have what I call an "angry" face (random break-outs and redness). Of course, when I went to Julie for the trial, my face was at its worst. She put me at ease immediately and in the end I was beyond shocked by how well she covered up all my flaws. I left with confidence that I would not need to stress (which was priceless) on my big day . I didn't think it could get any better until my wedding day when she spent extra time perfecting the look. I loved it! She covered up a pimple that should have been seen a mile away! She did makeup for my bridesmaids (4), my mother, and my daughter (age 10), who she made feel extra special too. She never rushed and even helped my mom fix my dress before she left. We (brides) plan every detail of our weddings and I think above everything, we just want to feel beautiful. Julie did that for me and I want every bride to have the pleasure of working with her!

I absolutely LOVED working with Julie. She was incredibly flexible working with me since I was planning a wedding from across the country. Her work is amazing...I was beyond pleased with my look for the wedding. Even after I decided to change my look a little since my trial, Julie nailed it! My bridesmaids and MOB got their make-up done as well and could not stop talking about how much they loved their looks. After several horrible trial experiences and a makeup artist who backed out, I stumbled across Julie. I now definitely think it was meant to be!! I decided to not do a trial after reviewing her work, which some may say is risky but I guess I had a gut feeling! She was AMAZING and matched my vision perfectly. She was so great to work with and knew it was important to make me feel comfortable and to not change the way I look, just enhance my natural features! Everyone still compliments her to this day.. Julie Robbins is amazing! My sister-in-law is a hair stylist and worked with Julie in the past for photoshoots and recommended her to me. She was the only makeup artist that I contacted and knew after our consultation that I didn't need to look any farther. On my wedding day, she was in the bridal suite even before me and my bridesmaids got there, so we didn't have to wait. She was fun and engaging and knew exactly what she was doing. She even switched up my whole makeup for me because I wanted to do something completely different from what we did during our trial run. I had no hesitations that she wasn't going to make me anything less than perfect. She is confident in her work and she has every right to be because she has skills. If I needed a reason for another makeup artist, I would go straight to Julie with no hesitation!

Julie is a wonderful makeup artist and I’m so grateful that she was present on my wedding day to bring out everyone’s natural beauty. From the makeup trial to the wedding day itself and all the crazy emails I sent in between, she was professional, highly organized, patient, understanding, and very friendly.

She really is a true artist who knows color and lighting, and more importantly, how makeup will photograph. She listens to what YOU want, and is able to help turn your vision into something much more beautiful than you imagined. Julie arrived the morning of my wedding on time and ready to work with a smile on her face and a sweet, calming demeanor. I was tremendously relaxed while in her chair–a welcome feeling for a bride on her wedding day. Everyone looked beautiful, natural, and most importantly, they all felt comfortable wearing it. Finding a makeup artist for my wedding day was a long and exhausting process, to say the least. I am very type-A (and I do mean *very*) so I have a tendency to want everything a certain way, especially when it comes to my makeup. After an embarrassingly large number of trials with other makeup artists, I finally found Julie -- only 5 months out from my October wedding day. As fate would have it, she was not only still available for my date, she was everything I had been looking for in a MUA. Julie completely understood my perfectionist streak and listened to what I truly wanted in a wedding day look, even doing my eye makeup twice during the trial process to make sure she was getting it exactly how I wanted it and that I felt my absolute best. As if it could get any better, Julie is so much fun to be around and instantly feels like a friend you've known for years or a long-lost sister -- I can't imagine my wedding day without her and I was so much less stressed knowing I was in her (very capable) hands. I have never felt or looked more beautiful than I did on my big day and even with some intense dancing during the reception my makeup looked just as good at the end of the night as it did that morning. Don't make the same mistake I did -- book Julie first and save yourself the frustration of a million trials with other makeup artists because there is no one better than her.

Julie was so wonderful, professional and accommodating on my wedding day! Despite the fact that she had a wedding booked the same day as mine, she was extremely accommodating by not only waiving her minimum fee - since she would already be in the area- but also by offering to come by right before the "first-look" for touch ups at no additional cost. Her sweet and calm disposition was exactly the type of energy I needed the morning of my special day. I would recommend her work and talent in a heartbeat. :)

Julie did our make up on my wedding day. She was fantastic! The trial was great: we tried several looks, from eyes to lipstick, before choosing one. On our wedding day, she was calm and reinsuring, and pretty quick! One of the girls didn't want something too sophisticated, but rather something very natural. Julie managed that perfectly. It was very natural but her skin looked flawless and her eyes beautified! My make up was fabulous. Although I shed (a few!) tears during the ceremony it didn't move at all. The most impressive, is that due to a major storm, our outdoors reception had to be moved indoors, and we had no electricity the whole night!! No AC, only candles and a generator for the music. We still danced, in the heat, for hours and our make up literally didn't move!! I would not hesitate a second if I needed someone to do my make up for an important occasion! Thank you so much Julie :)

Julie was very accommodating even though I reached out to her at the last minute. We had a bridal party of varying ages and Julie was very accommodating to what each of them wanted. She was also receptive to changes I had after the trial and in the end I loved how my makeup looked that day! And it stayed on throughout a night of dancing and serious sweat. Julie was an awesome choice for my Wedding Makeup. She was super accommodating. For my personal wedding makeup, I really wanted to do something different than the typical bridal makeup look. I cannot say enough positive things about Julie Robbins! She is amazing! I was the bride who waited a little too long to book hair and makeup - but in the end deciding to go with Julie was one of my best decisions! From arranging the trial session all the way to wedding day, Julie was great to work with. At the trial she takes the time to get to know you, as both a bride and your real personality. She asks questions about your wedding vision, but also what you like to do for daily makeup. My daily makeup routine is non-existent - and on my wedding day, I wanted to look beautiful but I also wanted to feel like myself. Julie really took that to heart, bringing out my natural features and making me feel comfortable and not like a doll. She convinced me to try false eyelashes (something I was really apprehensive about) and she was absolutely right - they make a huge difference! She took all her notes from my trial and applied them on the big day so everything went smoothly! I felt absolutely beautiful! All of my bridesmaids and family members felt the same way - many of them made comments about how Julie made the feel the prettiest they've ever felt in your life. Knowing that I played a part in bringing them that joy is a true treasure.
I am so thankful that Julie was part of my big day, and I highly recommend her for all brides!

As mother of the bride, I researched vendors for our daughter's special day. Julie Robbins' website caught my eye. We needed an "on site" person on a holiday weekend. Julie fit us to a tee!! She got back to me quickly and helped with recs for hair stylists that might fit our date. This review is one that is so easy to write, Julie Robbins was perfection and she made my family and wedding party feel the same way! Julie was so accommodating with booking our wedding as she had another wedding on the same day - but she worked hard to make it work for both brides. The trial was so much fun as we talked about what I envisioned and I was able to seek her advice and expertise, I loved the air brushing technique. The day we did the trial I had a work event that evening and I was slightly nervous that it would appear that I had on too much makeup but it was the opposite, people just kept saying how nice it looked and/or they didn't comment at all because it was so natural to my style and so well done. She also let my mom come to the trial because it was one of the few wedding things we were able to do together - she had a blast! Wedding day was amazing, Julie did the makeup of the mothers, sisters, and matron of honor, in addition to my makeup. We stayed on schedule, had a blast and all looked fabulous. When she says it is guaranteed 24 hours - she is very serious, it doesn't move and photographs so well all day long. Julie made us all feel so special and we will be forever grateful that she was a part of our special day! Thank you Julie! <3

Julie is a saint! She is incredibly responsive and such a joy to be around. She truly listens to what your vision is for your makeup. Julie was absolutely fantastic! She saved the day when my original wedding makeup artist fell through a couple of months before the wedding. She really listens to what you like, asking for specific examples of bridal looks from Pinterest, to get a good idea of your vision for your big day.

I could not have asked for a more perfect makeup artist for my wedding day. Julie is extremely talented, professional, reasonable, and accommodating. And more importantly, she is such a kind person. One of my favorite memories from the day of my wedding is sitting with her while she did my make up. When she finished my make up that day, I felt like a bride who was about to get married in a few short hours.

Julie is passionate about what she does and it shows through her work. I did not have the best experience trying to find a make up artist. After going through 3 make up trials and having no luck, my maid of honor found Julie. My wedding was a month away and I still had not found someone that I liked. I wanted a natural look and someone who listened. Julie was that person! She was professional from the first moment we met at my trial. She listened to what I wanted and did exactly that.

Julie went above and beyond to make sure my wedding day was covered. In addition to Julie coming to my house, she brought a second make up artist to help. As the wedding got closer, we ran into some issues with a second hairstylist. I went to Julie asking if she knew anyone who could help. She got right on it and helped me find a second hairstylist to do some of the bridesmaid's hair.

Julie was a godsend and I cannot thank her enough for everything she did!

Julie was absolutely crucial my husband's and my wedding and I could not imagine it without her, her expertise, and her help!! Not only did she do an amazing job on my and my bridesmaids' makeup, but she went way beyond the extra mile helping me out when I had to get my hair completely redone (different vendor) which put me behind by about 1.5 hours. This review is long, long overdue. Where do I begin? I could never have imagined how amazing Julie would be. She was responsive and professional from our first correspondence through my wedding day. Julie not only has a gift when it comes to making you look beautiful for your day, she is also skilled in making you feel comfortable and relaxed. She not only made me, the bride, relaxed and comfortable, she also made all of my bridesmaids feel the same way. She truly exceptional in every way and really went above and beyond for me. She even touched up my hair (she always brings some hair stuff with her just in case it is needed) when it was falling out a little after some windy first look pictures. Oh I love Julie! The only thing I'm upset with is she wont teach me how to do my own makeup!! This is the second time working with Julie. First was i was a bridesmaid and second I was the bride. I loved my makeup and everyone in my wedding party loved theirs too.

I am so thankful I was able to work with Julie!!! My original makeup artist cancelled on me at the last minute, so I was left with trying to find someone about a month away from the wedding. Luckily, Julie was available on my August date - one of only two weekends she had left for the year. (Book her early brides!)
I was impressed with her professionalism and organization from the start. She sent me a contract to sign, which gave me great piece of mind especially after the other lady cancelled on me.
Julie offers a trial run as part of her booking, and I was happy to meet her and go over my makeup requests. She's so down-to-earth and a great listener. I generally don't wear a lot of makeup and wanted to make sure I looked like myself on the wedding day. She respected that request and did a PERFECT job! The airbrush technique is the way to go! My makeup looked beautiful and natural and the pictures were flawless! She did makeup for my 3 bridesmaids and mom also and they were all so pleased.
I felt so beautiful on my wedding day, and a LOT of thanks goes to Julie for this. I highly recommend her!!

Choosing Julie Robbins for my wedding day make-up was a wonderful decision! Julie is so talented and one of the kindest, most fun people I've met! I knew immediately I was in the most capable hands and that proved so true during my trial and on my wedding day. She nailed the classic look I was going for and made me feel so beautiful on my special day. Julie has a calm and confident way about her that put me and my wedding party at ease. She had 11 women to do make-up for on my wedding morning on a tight schedule. She miraculously got through everyone herself (no assistant) and made it look effortless, and everyone looked beautiful! I can't recommend Julie enough -- she offers a wonderful value for the incredible service she provides and you look back realizing you've made a friend in the process! Julie - you're the best!

Julie was excellent! She was always quick to respond to my emails and texts. She spends time getting to know you and your normal routine to ensure that your makeup is a reflection of your personality. After the trial she made detailed notes of what I wanted different for the actual wedding day. The end result was flawless and I loved the way it looked in pictures. Julie is a fantastic makeup artist!!! I was a little nervous coming down to North Carolina. I am a native Manhattanite and I am very into a natural, but feminine and polished look--I am not sure what the look in the RDU area is. But, Julie did an AMAZING JOB!!! I am so happy with how she did my makeup, it was really absolutely perfect, I can't describe it any better. My mom and my groom's mom also adored their makeup and people could not stop telling us three how stunning we looked all night!!! I can't recommend her enough!

Julie was absolutely wonderful to work with. Everyone looked so gorgeous and all the girls commented on how comfortable and light the make-up felt. Julie truly cares and loves what she does. After all the make-up was done Julie stayed with me for about 15 minutes because I kept saying my fake lashes felt funny. She wouldn't leave until I felt 100% percent comfortable and I am beyond glad she did. Whatever she did made all the difference and I completely forgot I was even wearing fake lashes. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a make-up artist.

I truly could not recommend Julie more for wedding makeup. She did mine and my moms' and sisters' makeup and everyone was so pleased. My request was to look like myself but just the most beautiful version and my make up was absolutely perfect. We had an outdoor ceremony and reception on a fairly warm day in May and it also stayed looking great throughout the evening.

Julie is very professional, responds to emails quickly, reasonably priced (especially for everything that she provides!), very reassuring, and truly wants to make sure everything is perfect. Doing a trial ahead of time was great and made me feel very confident about what to expect the day of our wedding, plus Julie is super organized and had everything written down ready to go! I truly could not have been happier and would recommend her to anyone looking for a fabulous, friendly, and sweet person to do their make up for a wedding or any other special event.

Julie did an amazing job with my wedding makeup!!! She was SO sweet, genuine and helpful in figuring out the best look for me! She really took the time to get to know me and my fiance, and she helped execute my vision for my makeup on my wedding day! She was extremely organized at the makeup trial and remembered everything I told her from the trial on the wedding day!!! She was also super quick to respond to any emails or requests that I had, and she was SO prompt on the day of! I feel like I not only found a terrific wedding makeup artist who helped make my day complete, but I've also made a great friend in Julie!!!! I am so glad I booked Julie Robbins for my wedding day! Julie is incredibly talented and fabulous to work with. She did an amazing job on my make-up as well as my friends' and family members' make-up. Everyone was thrilled with the job she had done. Many of my wedding guests remarked that I looked like a supermodel--and she had my mom crying with joy about how beautiful I looked before I even stepped into my dress.

Not only is Julie very talented, she is also very professional. She responded promptly to e-mail and was very accessible. She made a timeline for the day to ensure that we stayed on track. There was one thing I wanted changed after my trial and she nailed it on the wedding day--the look was even better than the trial! She stayed upbeat and positive throughout the wedding day and kept me relaxed despite some anxiety about the rain and logistics surrounding that.

I am a bargain hunter and Julie had some of the lowest prices I have seen when it comes to getting airbrush make-up, eyelashes, and an experienced artist who will come to you. She even stayed around 30 minutes after she had finished everyone's make-up to do touch-ups in between my pictures to make sure that I looked stunning before walking down the aisle. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Julie and her amazing work. Do yourself a favor and book Julie for your make-up--then you can relax, knowing that you will be absolutely gorgeous on your wedding day!

There are not enough words to describe how amazing Julie's makeup skills are. I was getting compliments on my makeup all night! She is incredibly talented and managed to make me look flawless. I loved her airbrush makeup because it lasted the whole day. I even had some bridesmaids tell me she was the best makeup artist they have had at a wedding. Julie did a phenominal job on my makeup for my wedding day!! During my makeup trial, Julie was very attentive and asked my about my day-to-day makeup and skincare routines, and she put together a look that was both bridal and also very "me"! For my princess-classic wedding at Duke Chapel, she went with pink eyes with slightly winged black eyeliner, a medium pink for my lips (since they're darker than most lips on people with my skin tone), full and long false lashes, airbrush foundation, and pink blush! It looked beautiful! Julie also gave me some tips to help my skin get in top-shape during that last month before the wedding! As beautiful as the makeup was for the makeup trial, it was way better on my wedding day! I felt beautiful and like a princess! Julie decided to go with fuller, longer lashes than she used for the trial and they were perfect! My makeup also stayed fresh all day! We had a sunny, 60 degree day, which helped, but even during the reception and dancing with friends, my makeup stayed perfect the whole time! Julie also gave me the lipstick (which was a mini-size) to use for touch-ups later, and I know I'll use it again! Julie is also extremely sweet and organized! She helped me figure out a schedule to get me, my bridesmaids, flower girl, and mom ready without the stress! We felt very relaxed and confident that morning, and she helped create that atmosphere since she didn't seem stressed herself! I also enjoyed getting to chat with her, throughout the planning process as well as on the wedding day! Thanks so much Julie! My makeup was amazing, and I felt so beautiful!

I loved working with Julie for my wedding make-up! She came to my house for my trial run and did on-site make-up at the hotel where we were getting ready the day of the wedding. At the consultation she worked with me to tweak my look so that it was exactly what I wanted, and took notes so that it would be the same on the wedding day. I loved that I still looked like myself with the make-up, it was very classic-looking and not overdone. Julie was very organized, even sending me a schedule of when each person would get their make-up done the morning of the wedding, and did a great job of working with my hair stylist to make sure their timelines fit together. And she singlehandedly did make-up for 9 of us, giving everyone a look they were comfortable with, from my bridesmaids to my grandmothers! Her prices for on-site make-up were very reasonable compared to others I looked at, especially for airbrush make-up. Julie is very friendly and a fun person to have around while getting ready for your big day, I would definitely recommend her!

Julie is amazing! I'm so happy that she was my makeup artist for my engagement and bridal sessions, as well as my wedding day! She made me feel comfortable the minute I sat down in her chair. We were instant friends. Julie actually did my makeup four times because it rained the day of our initially scheduled engagement session. Rescheduling the engagement session was difficult between mine and my photographers schedules so we had to do the shoot at 7:15 am. Julie actually came to my apartment at 6:00 am to do my makeup! That is SERVICE!!!

Each time she did my makeup we would tweak the look a little bit. Every time I loved the look! I cannot say enough good things about Julie. Look no further... She's the best!

Julie was my makeup artist for my wedding. Julie did my makeup (bride) in addition to 3 bridesmaids and 2 mothers on the same day. From my first meeting with Julie for a trial run of makeup, I was impressed. She is very professional and offers suggestions but also listens to the client's needs. For example, I have very sensitive skin, and Julie used products that would not cause a reaction on my skin. I even used my own lipstick for the wedding as it is my favorite, and Julie agreed that it looked good. She truly works with you to create the look the client wants. I was also very hesitant about false eyelashes but decided to give it a try. I loved these! These did not look false; these looked real. I couldn't believe it! I can tell that she truly loves what she does. I was extremely selective about who I choose as vendors for my wedding day, and I would recommend Julie to anyone without hesitation. She even arrived early on the wedding day to make sure everything was set up for the day. To all of the brides to be out there, I never got tired of hearing at my reception "You look beautiful!", and I know this was in part due to the fabulous makeup artistry of Julie Robbins. I met Julie at the Matthews House Annual Cake Dive this year. We became instant friends and have now worked together on a several weddings and 2 style shoots. She is a talented artist and I love her work! I cannot say enough nice things about Julie! She was super sweet, incredible flexible, and made an instant friend in me. I knew very little about how I wanted my make-up to look for my bridal portraits and wedding day and with just a few key words she created the exact look I had envisioned! I felt so beautiful! Julie was so amazing to work with! You can stop your hunt for a makeup artist here! I have always been so picky about my makeup and I have never liked anyone to do my makeup but me. I had some bad experiences, but I must say Julie was awesome! She listened to what I wanted and took a look at some pictures that I liked and gave me the perfect look. It was nerve wracking picking vendors online without a direct personal reference but since Julie responded so promptly to all of my questions and I was able to contract with her quickly under reasonable terms, I felt reassured. She worked with me on the date of my makeup trial even though I moved it two times! then to top it all off, the make up looked fantastic and lasted all day - actually all day from 9am until 1am that night - I even napped in between the wedding and meeting up with friends for drinks at night.... got up and it still looked good - I just reapplied lipstick and went out. She will address all your concerns and work with you to make sure your are happy with your makeup - she is a very good communicator. She genuinely cares about you as a bride - she even helped me with a necklace crisis at the last minute after my make up was finished. I feel lucky that I was able to hire her!
