Couldn't be happier with Julie

Let me start by saying, I LOVE JULIE!! We found Julie through our wedding planner (shoutout Ashley at Boutique Planning) and instantly loved the style of her wedding photos - they looked like vogue-worthy shots but the couples also looked effortless and natural. We ended up having our engagement shots done by Julie in NYC and they turned out perfect, I couldn’t choose just one for our save the dates (I picked 3). Then on the wedding day, she was an absolute rockstar managing our 20+ immediate family members (including 5 kids under 5), our schedule going from the church to the reception (she even drove us in her car!), and a very long day starting at 11am going until 10pm. She captured photos in a way that felt so organic that my husband didn’t even complain about how many pictures we had been taking ;) When she delivered the photos to us, my jaw was on the floor for an hour looking through every single one. When I say they were perfect, I couldn’t even choose a ‘Top 100’ photos because I was obsessed with them all. My entire family and all my friends said they were the best wedding photos they had ever seen in terms of the quality, the diversity (different poses/locations/times of day) and just how beautifully they captured the essence and love on the day of our wedding. I now consider Julie a lifelong friend, and now that I’m pregnant, I already asked her to shoot our family portraits next year when we’re in Charleston! Thank you so much Julie, we love you!

Look No Further!

Julie is an absolute dream to work with and I will recommend her again and again. My fiance and I first worked with Julie two years ago, on a destination engagement shoot in Charleston, SC. We had such a wonderful experience with her (refer to my earlier review about how she went above and beyond for us!) and her talent has only grown over the last two years since we met.

When covid cancelled our would-have-been wedding day in Virginia, we immediately turned to Julie in hopes of pulling together an intimate celebration back in the city where it all began. With under a week's notice, we hardly expected her to be free for us, but she responded immediately with her excitement to be apart of our day!! She helped us with so many recommendations as we pulled together our day, and when we explained to her the "hands-off" "unposed" approach that we'd envisioned for our elopement, she was so willing to roll with it! The pictures that she captured bring back so many emotions - you can truly see the excitement in our eyes - and her knowledge of the grounds made finding the perfect spot easy as could be. I am so thrilled to have had the chance to work with her again and I could not give a higher recommendation to any future brides-to-be!

Julie is a dream to work with, as a wedding planner and just in general! Her work is so effortlessly beautiful and has a dreamy, romantic feeling. She is a blast while working, never hesitant to join party-goers on the dance floor, and has a wonderful energy. I highly recommend her in Charleston and abroad and hope to work with her again soon!

Julie is absolutely AMAZING!! From the first time we met, we knew we wanted her to be our wedding photographer. She is stylish, creative, patient and so much fun!! We laughed the whole time! Not to mention her photos are rediculously gorgeous!
My husband isn't normally comfortable in front of the camera but Julie had a way of making us feel like we were just walking around with a friend. Sometimes, we would forget that we were taking photos! Julie is THAT good!! My family raved about her after the wedding and couldn't wait to see the pics. And now that we got our photos back, we are in awe! We love every single photo and can't stop looking at them even two months later!! My mom wished we had hired her for our rehearsal dinner too!
Julie is such a pro and the best in the biz! We were lucky to have her take our photos and look forward to her taking pics when we have a family of our own :)

Julie photographed our bridal portraits, rehearsal dinner and wedding day and all I can say is WOW! She and her second shooter, Hannah, were so positive, fun and professional. Photography was our #1 priority for the wedding so we wanted someone amazing...and we found her!

During the planning process, Julie was quick to respond to any questions we had. It made our lives a lot easier knowing that Julie was there at all times if anything came up.

We just received the images and they are breathtaking! Julie even sent a few stunning prints in the mail as a gift. She is truly the best in our minds and we would hire her again without hesitation.

One word...AMAZING! Julie Livingston is such a talented photographer and her photos are our favorite memories from our wedding day. She not only captured amazing shots on site, but also did a great job gathering all the family members. She knew what she wanted and exactly how to capture it, which made our photo session quick, easy, and fun! Julie is not only the most professional, but the most fun photographer I've ever worked with. She made the whole process (engagement pics, bridal portraits, and wedding day pictures) so enjoyable. Her work is incredible and I got all of my photos back in a timely fashion!! I will be recommending Julie Livingston to anyone and everyone who needs a photographer. She's simply the best!!!

Julie took photographs of our rooftop proposal in Charleston, and I couldn't have asked for more amazing pictures! I had no idea she was up there to take pictures of our special moment and I'm so glad she was able to capture our personalities. Can't wait to work with her again in the future!!

Julie is the absolute best in the business! Her pictures are of the highest quality and she has an eye for photography that can't be matched! Julie is beyond talented. Not only does her work speak for itself, it was such a joy to work with her. She is so genuine and sweet and made my husband and I feel so comfortable during both our engagement pictures and on our wedding day. She exceeded our expectations with our wedding day photos. I'm not exactly sure how she did it but it felt as though she was everywhere all at once!

The pictures Julie took are ones that we will cherish forever and I admittedly look at them at least twice a week, if not more. They captured the raw emotion of a day that forever change our lives and to us, that is priceless.

Absolutely the best photographer we could have ever asked for!! Julie was fun, professional, reasonably priced, and even able to bring along a second shooter trained in her style of photography!! Julie made communication easy and was very flexible, we had to reschedule our engagement session 3 times due to rain but she made it so easy! Thank you Julie for the best engagement and wedding photos we could have ever wanted!!!

We are so grateful that we were able to have Julie Livingston Photography photograph our wedding! We had the honor of having Julie herself provide photography services for our engagement pictures and our wedding. She not only made my family feel comfortable and special, but my (now) husband and myself as well. She is such a positive, light, and inspiring person who shows this through providing beautiful photographs of special events. She is such a wonderful person, who just so happens to take breathtaking photos. I know that my words cannot begin to express how truly wonderful she is and how grateful we are to have had her photograph our wedding, so I must say look at her profile. You will see, as we did, that she takes wonderful photographs and these barely skim the surface of her artistic abilities. From our engagement session alone, we honestly had well over 100 photographs that were all incredible. Many of our co-workers, family members and friends have already asked us for her contact information because each were so blown away by the photos she took for us. In fact, my sisters have already emphasized their desire for her to photograph their future weddings! Julie even went above and beyond, from making us feel comfortable in front of the camera to helping organize and lend a hand on our special day (she even helped put in my veil!). Julie was a superb addition to our day and we look forward to using her in the future for other important events!

Julie was an amazing photographer and we are so happy we hired her to shoot our wedding. We can't stop perusing our photos and every time, I'm amazed at how beautiful they are. We found Julie after a couple other photographers in the area never returned our phone calls and emails, and boy we are sure glad we did!

She was terrific to work with. She was able to meet with us and fit our schedule every time, which was a challenge, since we planned our wedding from out of town. She was even nice enough to have a conference call with me and my mother to discuss what my mom was looking for out of the deal. On the wedding day, she remembered to grab shots that I didn't even remember I said I wanted! She had obviously studied up.

I found her pricing to be a bit lower than some of the other photographers in the area, but the quality way better! She added on another photographer for not much more which is a total deal (do it, it's worth it!) and brought along her handsome husband to man the photo booth (do that too - tons of fun!). I had been to a few weddings where the photographer arrives in jeans/sweatsuits/tshirts or some combination of the three, but not Julie! She and her crew were dressed like guests, so they blended in and were not "in the way" at all. She helped us feel at ease, and brought the best out of us in our pictures, which really shows.

We are so very pleased with our photos. They really are the only thing you have left after it's over, so your photographer is the most important person you'll hire. We can't recommend Julie enough!

Finding Julie was the most perfect wedding vendor find! Her pictures, imagination and talent drew me to her immediately. After speaking to her on the phone the first time, I knew she was absolutely the best person to photograph our wedding. Working with her on the big day was so much fun and I really wish it could have lasted longer. I recently received my pictures and I'm so happy with the outcome. Her pictures are so wonderful; she catches so many perfect moments and the COLOR...the color in the photos are so vivid. Our wedding was in a dark room, but the photos are so clear and bright! I would hire Julie again in a heartbeat. The money spent for her services was some of the best money we spent for our wedding.

Julie was absolutely amazing! I felt extremely comfortable with her from the moment I met her. She felt like an old friend from the beginning. I honestly don't have the words to describe how pleased my husband and I have been with Julie Livingston Photography. Julie was professional from day one. She was organized, creative, and available 24/7. She made my husband and I feel so special and our day was truly memorable thanks to her. Not to mention she is adorable, fun, and one of the sweetest people I have ever met. Our entire family raved about her and my friends now have her on the books for their weddings. When we received our wedding pictures, they literally took my breath away. She nailed it. Our pictures were colorful, bright, and just screamed happiness! I can't say enough good words about Julie Livingston! She was such a calming influence throughout the whole wedding experience. She was so professional. She got all the shots that I asked for and took some of the most beautiful shots that I couldn't have even imagined! Our engagement photos received so many compliments and I can only imagine that from what I have seen of our sneak peek from our wedding photos, they will be just as amazing! I would recommend Julie to anyone and everyone!

Julie went way beyond the agreed upon/contracted services including coming to a different location than our venue to shoot photos while Katherine was getting dressed, and all the photos of the "extras" like the dress and shoes, the rings, the flowers, the beautiful wrap around porch......In addition, at the reception, every single time I, Katherine or her Dad asked Julie to take a photo, she gladly did so! She was professional, friendly and overall a real pleasure to work with.

Julie Livingston is the best photographer ever. I have attended several of her weddings and am absolutely stunned every time I view her photos. She is the sweetest and kindest photographer I have ever worked with. I personally have done several shoots and am always stunned with her amazing work! Having done various shoots by several of the greatest photographers in NC, Julie has been the only photographer I continue to work with! The most unique attribute that Julie has that other photographers don't have is her strong background in several different arts. Her work always displays what the person wants with her beautiful artistry!

She is always on time and won't leave until she gets every shot possible. Her photography leaves you remembering each and every essential moment of your special day! She is the sweetest most open minded photographer ever. I strongly urge you to book with Julie!! You will be absolutely stunned with her work!

Julie is a wonderful photographer that I have used a few times now. She has made all the difference in how my jewelry appears and I attribute an increase in sales because of this. Julie Livingston Photography was one of my FAVORITE vendors. She was so much fun to work with and her photos were incredible! She shot our engagement photos kept in touch with me throughout the year prior to our wedding, answering any questions I had. The day of the wedding she was so calm and helpful. She made my husband and I comfortable in front of the camera and most of the time I didn't notice she was there. She captured all of the important moments of our ceremony and reception as well as shots of things I didn't even know happened. It was incredible to look through the photos and see EVERYTHING from our wedding day, from flowers and cake details to dancing guests. I have received so many compliments from both our engagement and wedding photos. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a photography. I plan to work with her again for any photography needed in the future.

I can't wait to get our wedding photos but I have received so many compliments from our "sneak peek" on Julie's Facebook page. Julie makes you feel comfortable and will do anything to get the shot (including standing in the middle of traffic). Julie is AMAZING!! When my fiance and I started planning our wedding, photography was the most important ascept to us. We wanted to find someone who would be able to capture us in the moment, make us feel comfortable, and work with our ideas. As soon as Julie responsed to our e-mail, we knew we had found the perfect photographer. She not only is a wonderful photographer, she is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. You instantly feel like you have known her your entire life.

We recently had our engagment pictures taken and they are breath-taking. She really captured the love we have for each other and made the engagment section a memorable occasion. We still have my bridal session and our October wedding left to photograph and I can't wait!

I can’t say enough good things about Julie. From her sheer talent to her professionalism to her ability to make anyone feel comfortable in front of a camera. She will be shooting our wedding in October, but we held an engagement session with her in Charleston in May. We both have a fondness for the Southern charm and romance of this city, and Julie was so generous to work with our schedules to drive down to Charleston for an afternoon shoot. The pictures came out amazing. She truly listened to our vision of creating images that defined us. We didn’t want too many traditional shots, and it was great to see her mind at work during the shoot…a perfect backdrop was around every corner – or on the roof of a parking lot. Julie has an knack for design and “the big picture”, and you will be so happy with her work. Wedding planning is stressful, and you will not have to worry one bit about the quality and beauty of your photos if you have Julie on your team.

One of the many gestures from Julie that impressed me: The morning of our engagement shoot, the weather in Charleston was looking downright gloomy. As a typical worried bride-to-be, I was up before the sun staring at weather forecasts and wondering if we could still make this happen. I wrote Julie an email way too early in the morning to talk about what to do if the weather didn’t work in our favor. Lo and behold, I got an email from Julie a couple of minutes later. She was also up and checking out the weather forecast, perfecting Plan A and Plan B. She really helped make me feel at ease, and she cares just as much about her clients as she does her work. And by the way, the weather ended up working in our favor!

There are so many photographers out there, but the moment I came across Julie’s website, I knew she had an eye for what brides want and what we wanted to capture. We can’t wait to see the stories she tells through her lens during our wedding.

Julie did a great job photographing my bridal portraits and my wedding! She was very organized and very easy to work with. I got tons of compliments on all of my pictures and have had several brides ask her to be their photgrapher after seeing my pictures. I would highly recommend her to anyone!

Julie is one of the best decisions we made regarding our wedding planning. She is very personable, professional, creative, and has a quick turn around time on photos for those of you who want to see what they will look like sooner rather than later.

We felt very comfortable being photographed by her at our engagement shoot and she was more than willing to provide some advice for what to wear and which locations in the Raleigh area would be good for photos. We went with locations my fiancee and I picked and then one that she found along the side of the road for sunset photos - a last minute selection that turned out to result in some fabulous photos. She also got great shots of our chocolate lab that we brought along for the photo shoot.

I can't wait to have her photograph our wedding and would definitely use again for other special events worthy of a great photographer.

A few weeks ago, Julie did our engagement pictures in downtown Raleigh and it the gardens at the church where we will get married in August. She is an absolutely amazing photographer and person! She is so easy to work with and made us feel really comfortable the entire time. We recently got all of the digital prints from her and they were beautiful. I can't wait for her to be with us again in August on our special day. If you are looking for a photographer who gets to know you as a couple, works with you (and your budget), and captures amazing photos, Julie is it!

Julie has been such a pleasure to work with from the start! When I first met her I knew she would make both myself and my equally camera-shy fiance at ease during our engagement photo session and ultimately on our wedding day too!

For our engagement pictures we loved Julie's idea of taking pictures on a canoe at a nearby lake. However on the day of our session, Mother Nature did not love the canoe idea....it was only a few degrees below what the park would allow canoes to be rented. Within minutes Julie thought of other great picture ideas and I couldn't be more pleased with how the pictures turned out...we actually have too many to choose from for ourselves and our family! It can't go without being mentioned that we were also able to bring our dog for these pictures and now I have a real "family" photo of all of us!

I would recommend Julie for your wedding photography, she's incredibly willing to work with her clients and of course is a professional at what she does! I can't wait to see how our wedding pictures turn out! Thanks Julie!! :)

I absolutely could not be happier with the photos!

My fiance and I wanted a photographer that could catch us having fun, genuinely smiling, and was patient enough to work with our quirky schedule. My biggest fear was pictures that looked like we were posing and putting on a smile. We chose Julie based on her blog and thought that she would be a perfect fit.

For our engagement session, Julie met us on the one day of the week that we could fit in our busy work schedule. Throughout the entire session, Julie kept it light hearted, let us do our own thing and was so so easy to work with.

When we received our photos, they were above and beyond our expectations. She caught us in the moments when we were laughing, genuinely smiling, and on top of this she added creativity that we could not have imagined.

The wedding planning process is stressful enough, but choosing Julie has made the entire process SO MUCH easier. I would not only recommend her to a friend, I would insist they use her. I couldn't be happier.

Julie was great to work with! We used her for our engagement pictures, and it was a seamless process. Julie was great at communicating with us before and after our photo session, and delivered our picture to us timely. She was very easygoing and relaxed during the session, which put my fiance and I at ease as well. It was not awkward at all. I was a bit nervous about having our pictures taken since we'd only gone to super pose oriented studios, and had no idea of how to be candid. Julie was an absolute dream! She was so sweet to be willing to work with my budget just a few weeks before my wedding day, and the quality of her work is incredible. She definitely went above and beyond as a wedding photographer, rallying people together with her positive attitude and fantastic energy. Unlike many Raleigh photographers, Julie was willing to include print rights in her quote, which is a huge deal to us! Julie's pictures were absolutely AMAZING!! She captured every precious moment with stunning, crystal clear resolution. I've never seen anyone's pictures turn out this good, and I've looked through a lot of friends' wedding albums. And beyond her great pictures, Julie is also a great person. I was so pleased with the bridal portraits that Julie took for me. They were beautiful. One can really tell Julie has a great eye for photography. My friends and family have had nothing but great things to say about the outcome. I will always treasure the photos. (Including some great candid pics she took of me and my Mom. They are so special to me.)

Julie did an amazing job on our family photos. She got some fabulous group shots, as well as family and individuals. She was able to meet any request I made and her pictures were beautiful. My engagement and wedding photos were amazing! Julie captured details that I never thought of and the pictures had that personal and artistic touch unlike many other photos I've seen. The Most Stunning Film Photos

Julie is absolutely one of my favorite Charleston film photographers!! Julie's photographs are beautiful- she's very talented. However, her lack of responsiveness was frustrating throughout the process. Also, our wedding contract stated we would have our photos within 10 weeks, however we did not receive them for over 16 weeks (even after a few unanswered emails).

We hired Julie for my daughters wedding in April it will be four month next week and we still don’t have any pictures. She is blaming it on her multi million dollar computer. How long could it possibly take to fix this issue. She post on social media all the traveling she is doing. Maybe she should stay home and do her job. Would not recommend her to anyone
