We absolutely loved working with Juliana - would 100% recommend her to anyone looking to do a smaller wedding or elopement. We hired her for 8 hours, which covered a small private family-only ceremony, photos in the Georgetown neighborhood, and a dinner with ~50 friends & family.
We got our sneak peeks back within just 2 business days and they were gorgeous and far exceeded our expectations. They perfectly captured the vibe we were going for and felt very authentic to us.
Plus, you don't just get an amazing photographer, but you also get a thoughtful, detailed planner and thought partner! We knew we wanted to do something small and intimate but hadn't figured out all the details. Juliana worked with us along the way to brainstorm locations and schedule out the day. A few examples of how she went above and beyond:
- We pivoted the month before our ceremony between two locations and she very easily rolled with the changes and adapted our schedule by the next day.
- Our ceremony was slated to happen around the government shutdown and she proactively reached out to recommend that we get our marriage license squared away early, saving us a potential hiccup.
- She recommended scheduling in a break during the day between photos and dinner, and that ended up being one of our favorite parts of the day! We would not have thought to do it otherwise but it was so great to get some quiet alone time and recharge before dinner with friends & family.
And, she's fun to work with! She kept us at ease and relaxed the whole day (and in the lead-up to the day), which definitely helped with capturing authentic photos and moments. -

Juliana is the best NoVA Elopement Photographer!
Working with Juliana was one of the very best decisions we made for our elopement. As someone who works in event planning, the last thing I wanted to do after work was plan another event—and Juliana took that weight completely off my shoulders. She helped map out the flow of the day, recommended wonderful vendors, and made the process simple and stress-free. Honestly, hiring her was worth every penny.
Even though we reached out less than two months before our wedding with absolutely no plans in place other than the date we wanted, she never once made us feel rushed or behind. She was always quick to respond whenever I had a question or needed guidance.
On the day itself, Juliana managed everything with such ease—from the logistics to helping with our families in attendance—and she captured both the big moments and the little candid ones so beautifully. We’re not “picture people,” but she made us feel completely comfortable in front of the camera. It truly felt like we had a friend with us who also happened to be an incredible photographer. Even my six-year-old niece was enamored with her, which says everything about the kind of warm and fun presence Juliana brings.
Our gallery reflects the day perfectly, and we’ll treasure these photos forever. I can’t recommend Juliana enough to anyone looking for someone who is not only talented but also kind, calming, and a joy to work with. -

I cannot recommend Juliana enough!! My husband and I have been talking about eloping in D.C. for years, but never did any research or made any plans to begin the process. Personal circumstances came up which resulted in us being on a very limited schedule to get married. I was overwhelmed and convinced we would have to settle and just do a courthouse wedding at home. Then we found Juliana. I sent an inquiry and we scheduled a zoom call for two days later. I went from being completely defeated to having a wedding date and game plan scheduled after a one hour zoom call with her. We gave her a list of places we wanted to visit on the wedding day and she came up with the whole itinerary. She took all of the stress away and made it so easy. And the photos. Y'all, I have no words. Speechless. If I had to pick a few adjectives, they'd be: stunning, gorgeous, exquisite, etc. The day and the photos were everything we hoped for and more than we could have imagined. I am so thankful to have found her website. She was so accommodating with our limited time frame. The day was perfect and we now have hundreds of photos that captured our day perfectly. Can't wait to get them printed! Now I just need to narrow it down, but it's impossible to pick favorites!! Do yourself a favor and schedule a call with her ASAP! -

Juliana is an absolute powerhouse of talent, warmth, and magic. Hiring her to photograph our elopement in DC was hands-down one of the best decisions we made. From the moment we connected, she was more than a photographer—she became a guide, a planner, a hype woman, and a calm, grounding presence in the middle of a wildly emotional day.
She helped us plan locations, gave genuinely thoughtful and creative suggestions, and made sure everything flowed naturally. She just got us—what we wanted, how we wanted to feel, and how to make it all come to life. And then, when the day came, she made us feel like absolute royalty. Not in a stiff, staged way—but in a deeply personal, joyful, honest way that brought out the best in both of us.
And the photos? STUNNING. Every single image is filled with so much heart and intention. She caught all the little in-between moments we didn’t even realize were happening. Looking through our gallery felt like reliving the best day of our lives, moment by moment, but somehow even better.

Long story: it’s hard to put into words how perfectly Juliana fits into her professional. It’s a rare and beautiful thing to see someone find their calling. She is caring, passionate, and easy-going during a potentially not so easy going time. I’m not someone who enjoys being in front of a camera. I was tempted to have a court wedding and just go thru the motions. But the one thing I’ve always wanted were epic elopement photos with my now husband. I wanted to go on an adventure with my best friend and just happen to be in a white dress. I found Juliana pretty easily as her style and talent stood above the rest for me. I was never really nervous about the process because it was easy to trust her. She is extremely intelligent, meticulous, and prepared for anything. Thank goodness we found her. Admittedly I could still use some work practicing how to laugh in a pretty way, but she captured such pure moments. No matter how many chins I may have had in the photos, you can’t unsee the joy. The photos brought tears to my eyes and I’m really not one to be very emotional. I felt like I made a friend during the process as well. Juliana has an amazing soul and it is no doubt this is her calling. Ask her questions, be curious, tell her what you’re looking for because she will make it happen. My entire family is raving about how gorgeous the photos are. So please, if you ever for once want to take a stranger’s advice on the internet, at least shoot Juliana a message. She will shock you in ways you never thought. To Juliana: David and I are deeply thankful for what you did for us. We appreciate you more than we can put into words. Thank you. Thank you. Working with Juliana was an absolute dream come true. When we initially reached out to Juliana, we weren’t exactly sure about how we wanted the day to be, all we knew was that we wanted to make a whole day out of going around the city taking beautiful photos. After talking with her, she was able to help us create the perfect day, including narrowing down timelines, finding amazing photo opps in the city, and securing the necessary permits. From the first conversation with her, we couldn’t help but to be filled with excitement of what was to come. On the actual day of our elopement, it didn’t feel like we just had a “photographer” following us around. From the moment she arrived, she jumped right in and was hands on with helping us every step along the way, like she was literally there helping me get dressed. Juju (my nickname instantly given to her) was such a vibe, and it felt like she was apart of the family! Not only did she make us feel extremely comfortable in front of the camera, but her creative eye was able to capture angles/moments that made us fall in love all over again! Our entire day was nothing but amazing and that was largely attributed to Juliana. We were still floating on cloud 9 when we received our “sneak peaks” as there were so many beautiful images that she was able to provide within a short amount of time! We recently received our full album, again in an impressive amount of time, and I love that we’re now able to cherish a TON of absolutely stunning photos that will allow us to relive that day for the rest of our lives. If you have the opportunity to work with Juliana, my advice is to jump at the chance with no hesitation as she is an absolute gem and we’re forever thankful that we were able to experience her on one of the most wonderful days of our lives. -

Heirloom Photos and a Wonderful Day
I hired Juliana to photograph and help guide me through my microwedding in November 2020. Yes, I was a COVID bride and planned everything in less than three months, but Julianna was more than willing to jump in at the last minute. Dare I say she was pivotal in the process even! She was so enthusiastic and helpful from the first email encounter I had with her. I felt overwhelmed and she always had a reassuring voice. Juliana traveled over an hour to Philadelphia and made my engagement shoot vision come to life, which included walking all over South Philadelphia. Lastly, the photos – they are beautiful! I’ll cherish my wedding photos forever. Juliana was such an important part of that day, literally from morning to night. You will not regret hiring such a professional, enthusiastic, and talented photographer for your special day. -

I cannot express my gratitude enough for how professional Juliana is. Her photos are stunning. She knows how to work with different people so you won't be awkward around her! I cannot believe how beautiful both of us looked in our photos, and she even managed to get our cat in the elopement too! It was such a fabulous day with her. -

Excellent, accomodating, FUN photog
J was able to squeeze us into her schedule at the last minute (as we were moving out of DC and wanted special photos before we left). She was so kind and went out of her way to make us feel comfortable during the planning process and during the session itself. She showed us photos here and there throughout the session, which grew our confidence / helped us feel more at ease. She delivered a sneak peek ASAP and the rest of the photos very quickly. Her style is very unique - no cookie-cutter portraits (unless that's what you want, in which case, she's very accomodating!) :-) She really thinks out of the box + makes you feel like a partner/collaborator versus just her subject. She also knows how to bring out the natural personalities of the people she's shooting - no fake laughs or forced smiles with her! We are thrilled with our entire gallery. It was so difficult to choose which photos to frame in our new home! Juliana is an engaging, thoughtful, TALENTED photographer, and I would recommend her to anyone. -

Vow Renewal
Working with Juliana was an incredible experience! From her care in communication in planning and understanding our vision for our 5 year vow renewal/anniversary photos to scouting the perfect location to hiking with us and even her boyfriend watching our toddler so we could take couple photos on a cliff, she was amazing in every aspect.
And then, we saw the photos, I'm completely blown away. These photos are more beautiful than I ever hoped for! My husband is pretty comfortable in front of a camera, but I'm not. Juliana intuitively knew how to make me comfortable and gave clear posing instructions.
I 100% recommend Juliana for your elopement or engagement session and subsequent wedding photos. She absolutely over delivers. -

One of the best photography sessions I’ve ever experienced
RUN…. dont walk…to book your shoot today! Juliana is a total sweetheart and an absolute breath of fresh air. We woke up early for a sunrise shoot in DC and I’m the farthest thing from a morning person. She was incredibly patient with us and helped us not feel so awkward while posing. Im one of the least graceful people possible and she made me look like an absolute goddess. She understands people’s angles and good sides. She listens and is open to collaborate to help your vision become a reality. I’ve worked with a few different photographers in the past and Juliana made us feel so comfortable while shooting. I have never had a shoot done where I LOVE every shot. Her editing style is amazing. The sneak peak gallery took our breath away. I practically posted them all. I would 1000% recommend her to friends and family. I will cherish these anniversary photos forever! -

Juliana took the time to get to know me and my fiancé as a couple and really wanted to make sure she could incorporate our favorite places and photo ideas to our engagement session. She really does her research on the types of places we liked (urban and nature) and made our hour-long photo session time go by so fast! Prior to the session, she sent us tips on what to wear and updates in case the weather was not ideal. Her suggestions and tips for maximizing the photoshoot ahead of time were very much appreciated. She captures light and movement so beautifully, and I’m so grateful to have crossed paths with Juliana – totally worth the wake up before sunrise!
