If you’re looking for the perfect photographer stop right now and book Julia Summers!!! As a photographer myself, finding the perfect wedding photographer was at the top of my priorities. Julia excels at her craft! She is incredible at capturing candid moments, true-to-life color, flattering angles, and subtle but beautiful color and lighting adjustments. Her photos are a timeless treasure. In addition to getting the highest quality photos, Julia is an incredible human! She is an absolute ray of sunshine, so kind, accepting and welcoming of diverse clients, and fun - her joyful spirit and excitement are contagious! She genuinely made our wedding day even better! Julia went above and beyond our expectations and we are so glad we went with Julia Summers Photography!!! -

Phenomenal engagement shoot!
We were referred to Julia by a friend, and we just did our engagement shoot with her, as our wedding will be out of town. She did a fantastic job! Our shoot was at the beach in December, and she was wonderful about helping us stay warm enough and choosing a variety of backdrops that were perfect for our beach theme. She turned the pictures around way faster than expected, and we had a ton of shots that we loved.
If our wedding was in the area, we 100% would have hired Julia for that as well. I can't recommend her enough! -

From the moment we met Julia we felt that she matched our personalities and was a true professional with a passion for what she does and her photography style was exactly what we were looking for, a bright, editorial, and elegant aesthetic. For our engagement photos even though we were a bit nervous she made us feel like we were having our photos taken by a very close friend. Our wedding day went off without any hitches, and she made our family feel comfortable while getting all the shots we wanted and more. Just when we thought she couldn’t be more amazing she gave us a sneak peek of our photos two days after the wedding, and let me tell you that sneak peek is more than we were expecting, words have no way of capturing how grateful we are to have met and worked with Julia, she will always have a special place in our hearts and we know that anyone else who works with her will get to experience the expert and genuine human being she is. -

The best photographer EVER!
Julia was absolutely amazing! My husband and I had an unfortunate situation with our original photographer that left us stressfully searching for a new photographer WEEKs before our wedding. We were devastated and almost sure we wouldn't find anyone available that we liked in that short amount of time...but our prayers were answered when we heard back from Julia.
From day one of our initial phone call, she was so sweet, organized, ensured us that she could provide everything we needed and even worked with our strict budget. After our first virtual call, my husband and I looked at each other and said... this must be fate. Without losing our previous photographer, we would have never stumbled across this outstanding Julia :)
She took the most beautiful portraits of me getting ready with my mother, our first look with my husband, spectacular ceremony photos, family formal, and the most elegant and timeless couple portraits at the Jefferson Memorial in DC.
We could not have asked for a more professional, knowledgeable, caring, fun and easy to work with photographer! If I could rate her 100 stars I would!! -

We knew immediately after our first conversation with her that she would be our photographer, and she delivers. Her talent aside, Julia's energy and charisma make it so easy to work with her and feel like a natural in front of the camera. She's thorough, comforting and so obviously in love with her job, and it will show in your photos. Oh, and she's just a LOVELY person. We highly recommend Julia for your next event or photoshoot!!! -

Wow! Julia is incredibly talented, kind and professional. I hired Julia for my last minute elopement and she captured my memories perfectly. My husband and family were so impressed that we can't wait to work with her again. She went above and beyond to prepare us for an amazing wedding photography experience. She took the time to get to know us and find out what was most important to us. On the day of the wedding, she was so friendly and helpful. We had a small hiccup with our wedding location, but she was quick on her feet to find the best spots for photos. After the elopement she sent us our photos so quickly. They were BEAUTIFUL! My husband hates taking pictures, but after working with Julia, he wished he'd taken more haha. Thank you so much Julia!! You made us feel so comfortable and we had so much fun. We are so lucky to have worked with you.

Julia was incredible to work with. From day one, she was super responsive, friendly, flexible, and was always down to help with anything (even non-photography related stuff). Firstly, we are so thankful to have found Julia! We looked through so many photographers to find the perfect light & airy look, willing to work with the kind of photos we wanted taken, and working with our budget. Julia did just that and more! She is the most bubbly and kind person as well. Starting with our engagement session she helped us to get more familiar with how to pose, she was so easy to work with, and we love every single photo that came out of that session. Throughout the entire process Julia has always been so responsive with getting back to us on any questions we had. We felt a peace of mind for wedding day knowing the photography would be handled by the best! When wedding day came right at the beginning of the day Julia and her assistant were on it! They got such a variety of shots! Julia was so focused the entire time and wasn't even scared to get a little dirty! She would go into bushes and crawl around in the grass to get the perfect shot and boy did she! When we received the wedding photos back we were absolutely amazed! It was just as we pictured and better! The pictures reminded us of photos from a magazine. Our friends and family can't stop talking about how beautiful our wedding photos are! Julia is so talented. Part of our package includes a physical wedding album and we are working with her to design it. Again, she looks at all the fine details. We are SO thankful for Julia that she helped capture the best day perfectly and definitely will be using her for other event photos. We can't recommend her enough to others! -

When thinking about my wedding, I knew that photography and video were going to be two of my biggest priorities. I wanted to be able to look back on the photos captured of the day for the rest of my life with my family, so I felt a lot of pressure to make sure I found someone whose style matched mine and whom we’d work well with.
Julia exceeded any and all expectations. First off, I wanted to find a photographer who had that light & airy style while still capturing candid moments. I absolutely loved Julia’s portfolio, but watching her work and having her direct us during our engagement shoot gave me so much insight as to how she’s able to capture such beautiful images! She’s extremely professional but so personable, engaged, encouraging, flexible, patient, and just a joy to be around. Especially if you’re uncomfortable in front of the camera, she’ll ease you right into your shoot and will help you through every step of the way.
Our wedding was a whole different ball game from our engagement shoot. One thing I didn’t quite realize when searching for the right vendors was how important it is that they’re able to not just produce beautiful work, but that they’re organized, communicative, and have enough presence to help navigate the many moving parts of your wedding day. Again, Julia was exceptional in this regard. She was so friendly and communicative with our other vendors, and directed our family and couple photos with so much ease and professionalism, all why being so positive, enthused, and celebratory. Your wedding day is bound to be an emotional day, and having a photographer who has that level of professionalism and enthusiasm is so critical.
I’ll finish this review off by sharing a little more candidly that I was very nervous about being photographed. I had my own insecurities about the way that I look (I don’t particularly like taking photos of myself). Julia’s work brought me to tears several times when I saw some of the moments she captured from our day. She really has a way of capturing the beauty of the moment while also having one of the most beautiful approaches in her style and editing. -

Look no further than Julia to have as your photographer! She is absolutely wonderful and so easy to work with. Julia captured our proposal, then had an engagement shoot with us directly after. She has a way of making you feel very comfortable in front of the camera. My fiancé and I had the best time and she constantly made us smile. I had happy tears when I saw the photos! Julia is one talented person. Her work is classic and timeless. I can’t say enough good things about our experience with Julia! -

Wedding MVP!
Julia was an absolute joy to work with for our wedding two months ago! From the first time we met with her, she was so sweet, friendly, and attentive to our needs and wants. When I was super late and totally flustered showing up to our engagement shoot, she calmed me down and got me and my fiance laughing immediately! And she was a blast to hang out with during our wedding weekend. A bunch of our family and friends all mentioned how much fun she was. And that's just the start! Her photos are GORGEOUS, and absolutely everything we wanted. She captured our personalities perfectly, and caught all of the sweetest, funniest, and most emotional moments of our wedding weekend. I truly couldn't be happier with how our images came out, and I would recommend Julia to anyone and everyone! -

Outstanding!
If you are looking for a wedding photographer, this is your girl!! Julia doesn’t just have AMAZING photos, they speak for themselves but I what really meant the most to us that you can’t find in any photographer is our experience. From the second I reached out to Julia in the spring of 2020 until now she has made our wedding experience something I will never forget. I couldn’t imagine our wedding without her. She helped us from a custom package within our budget that included EVERYTHING we hoped for and more. She helped with the venue search, wedding planning, making sure the day of was STRESS FREE and made sure I felt like a bride. You won’t find anyone more excited for you and your day! Julia truly goes above and beyond and is more than just our wedding photographer. We met Julia at a Bridal shoot and immediately loved her fun and enthusiastic personality.
Julia is warm, caring and above all, a magical creative. When my (now) husband and I mentioned we still head yet to choose a photographer, she made sure she was available for the two hour drive to our wedding two weeks later. Julia captured every moment we wanted in her time spent with us. The moments that mattered most to us. The moments that we will cherish forever.
