Julia is amazing!!

I felt so lucky to be able to book Julia (and Adam!) as our wedding day photographers. When I first looked at Julia’s photography, I loved her adventurous edge and was blown away by how she can capture so much emotion into one photo. I knew she would be able to capture our portraits expertly, and I was so excited for her to capture candid photos of our guests. And WOW, she does not disappoint!! We are GLOWING in our pictures, and I have so many special photos of my friends and family laughing and having a great time throughout the evening that we will cherish for years and years to come.

Julia was responsive, flexible, professional, and very easy to work with. She was even fully invested in helping my bridesmaids and I flag down our MIA limo driver day of. She was also great on instructing poses to ensure our photographs came out fun and natural. She delivered our full album very quickly, too. I would recommend her again and again!

Julia photographed our outdoor wedding on a chilly, rainy Sunday morning in Provincetown. She was everything we could have wanted: creative, relaxed, encouraging, engaging, etc. She did a great job at "corralling" our guests for group pics that we wanted, and at adjusting to changes to our ceremony imposed by the weather. And, of course, her work speaks for itself. We wholeheartedly recommend her for anyone in need of a first-class photographic talent.

Julia was very impressive, professional, charming, and kind! My daughter booked her to photograph her wedding at the Wequasette Resort. She was on time and never stopped moving! She is definitely a PRO! We can't wait to see the pictures!

Julia was an amazing wedding photographer, and I highly recommend her. As we looked for a wedding photographer, at first we had no idea how to choose between the options suggested by our venue. When we came across Julia's website, her photographs stood out and we decided to ask about her availability. Throughout the planning process, Julia was extremely helpful and available to talk/answer questions. On our actual wedding, she was incredible. She took tons of pictures, came up with creative and fun shots, and everyone could not stop saying positive things about her. She did not stop working for one moment, and it was obvious how dedicated she was to capturing the whole night. She was respectful and kind to everyone at the wedding but still made sure to assert herself to get the right pictures and gather people together. Julia helped make our wedding unforgettable, and we are greatly appreciative of her beautiful photography and hard work.

We can’t recommend Julia enough! Our wedding day already feels like a blur, but luckily we will forever have Julia’s beautiful photos to tell and share the story of our special day. It was important for us to have pictures of our guests beyond the wedding party/our families and Julia did just that! All of our guests commented on how great Julia was and how she was always there to capture candid moments. In addition to her talent, Julia brings a calming presence (which is much needed on the wedding day) and she is great to work with. Leading up to the wedding day, Julia was always very responsive and professional. If you’re looking for a creative photojournalist with a skilled ability to capture the emotions of the day then look no further!

From the minute I met Julia Cumes, I instantly fell in love with her and her work! Julia Cumes is a photojournalist, so her pictures are all absolutely unique, and will take your breath away. When I saw her portfolios, professionalism, organization, and her passion, I knew my wedding pictures would be in great hands. During my wedding planning, Julia was always detailed and informative in her emails, and she was always quick to reply whenever I had a question. My wedding pictures came out perfect. They literally brought tears to my eyes, and still do every time I look at them. Julia's creativity and freedom will allow your pictures to create a beautiful story! I highly recommend Julia Cumes Photography for any event!!

If you are looking for a photographer who captures the essence of your day Julia is the one you need to call. Her photojournalism background offers a unique perspective to your bridal pictures. Her energy and service was impeccable and her thoroughness was efficient and fantastic!

Our photos were stunning! And she was so professional and kind and easy to work with! Both our wedding and our engagement photos received so many compliments it's amazing. She has a great eye and her photojournalism background allowed her to do what we really wanted for the day: capture the spirit and the fun of it. And, being able to get the CD's of the images afterward made it an amazing value in addition. We were thrilled with the results and with the whole experience.

Julia was wonderful. I honestly barely noticed her the entire day. I received our pictures and she captured every moment in beautiful pictures. We chose her for her photojournalistic style and she captured our day without all of the stiff poses and painted on smiles. It was like watching a movie of the day through the moments she captured. She was incredibly nice as a person and definitely a gifted photographer. I would hire her again in a moment.

We used Julia Cumes for our local engagement photos. She was very flexible in setting up a time to work us into her schedule. On the actual day of shooting, she was very calm and helped us get over our jitters in being in front of a camera for the first time. She had a lot of great ideas for poses and was really fun to work with. The only thing I'm sad about is that we did not get any close up shots of my ring. Part of this is my fault, since I did not specifically ask for them, but I sort of figured those shots are sort of standard for an engagement session. Overall, the photos are great and Julia is awesome to work it.

Julia is a sweet, calming presence who has a wonderful eye to capture the moments. Julia listens and talking the day though with you, patient and helpful. She not only got the job done with all the portraits and must take arrangements but she got so many candid moments, the feelings of joy, love, fun and excitement you could feel through the pictures. I would highly recommend working with Julia for your wedding.
