Best Makeup Artist

I am so thankful for Abby and her expertise. I booked her for my wedding in Bluemont, Virginia, and it was the best decision I made. Although I love makeup, I’m not great with the application or know much about anything beyond the basics. From the moment we started, Abby listened to what I wanted and tailored the makeup to my facial structure to create a look that made me feel confident, beautiful, and still like myself. I was and am still so happy with the makeup.

Abby also went completely above and beyond on my wedding day—not just with makeup, but with everything else. She helped get me into my dress, made sure my skin was prepped and glowing (even applying oil to my arms), and stayed on top of touchups so I looked my best all day long. I had a very long and heavy dress, and while we were taking photos, she helped carry the train—which she did not have to do. In addition, she took some gorgeous photos of me. I didn’t know she was a photographer and videographer too! So incredibly talented!!

Abby also kept a positive attitude and was calm—which is so important for the wedding day. At times during the makeup application, she could see that I was stressed, and she helped me relax. Her genuine care made such a difference.

Separately, when we had our initial consultation, Abby provided great advice not just about skin care (such as drinking more water and wearing eye cream), but also my hair stylist, who I had not yet booked. As background, our first wedding planner dropped the ball several times. When I spoke to Abby, I told her I was planning on using my normal hair stylist for the wedding. She advised that I book a wedding hair stylist for several reasons (time, ensuring hair is set etc.). I didn’t know the importance of this until I spoke with her.

Makeup extraordinaire

Abby is a gem!!!! I have utilized her make up services for different occasions and she never misses. Anytime she does my make up I don’t want to take it off. She is prompt, professional, communicates very well on knowing what you want, pays attention to detail, and she is kind with such amazing energy! When my husband proposed I knew right away she is who I needed for my wedding! Again I always love my make up when she does it and I didn’t think it could get any better, but for my wedding she took it to another level. She truly made me look like a masterpiece! Listen. If you are looking for a bridal makeup artist, look no further than Abby. SHE IS THE BEST AT WHAT SHE DOES!!! I was sold when I looked in the mirror at my makeup trial! I look at my wedding pics everyday and I am obsessed at how good my makeup looks. I told Abby that my biggest concern was sweating off my makeup because I sweat a lot. When I tell you that makeup did. Not. Move - I mean it did not move. I cried, sweated, laughed and had an outside ceremony in 88 degrees and my makeup stayed put ALL NIGHT. She actually used a prepping product that helped reduced sweat AND IT WORKED!! I was slayedddd in studio AND natural lighting - IYKYK lol. Book her, you will not be disappointed!!

I had such an amazing experience with Abby! From the time I booked with her to the time of my makeup application on my wedding day, she was sweet, professional, provided great advice on a skin care regime leading up to the day and also recommended quality vendors! I knew from the in studio makeup preview when I didn’t want to take my makeup off, that the wedding day would look would be everything I wanted. Abby exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Abby from Juicy Looks for any brides to be looking for a dedicated bridal makeup artist for their upcoming special day. I worked with Abby recently for my October 28th wedding and am so happy I booked her early as she did a gorgeous job on my wedding makeup ensuring I still looked like myself but enhanced. Abby is a perfectionist and pays close attention during the makeup application process to ensure client satisfaction. Abby is kind, professional, responsive and easy to work with. I really appreciated the various reminders (e.g. 4 month and one month before beauty checklists), she sent as I got closer to the wedding to help me in keeping up with my skin care and beauty regiments leading up to the wedding. Bridal Makeup

To my future brides, if you’re looking to book Abby for your wedding day, GO FOR IT! When I tell you my makeup stayed on ALL DAY ALL NIGHT on such a hot day, I couldn’t believe it! I reached out to Abby a few weeks before her 2023 dates were even made available lol. This is how bad I wanted to make sure that I secured her as my MUA lol. I loved that she sent checklists as we got closer to my wedding date. I loved how she was willing to do a soft glam look for me lol but once I told her my family encouraged me to do GLAM, she was 100% on board with the new plan. Abby is so professional and down to earth. Also, she is going to make sure you look perfect on your day. Plus I’m so glad I booked her for an additional hour because she was able to touch me up right before I went down the aisle. Overall, it was a pleasure to work with Abby! Book her now ladies!

I have been following Abby on Instagram long before I became engaged and I was always in awe of her amazing work, still am! Abby is fantastic. She is efficient, personable, listens to your wants/likes and super talented. I have never really had professional makeup done and was concerned about it being too heavy…this was not the case with Abby. I still looked like me, but more glam. I felt pretty and it wasn’t too heavy. Abby provided full service (trial, day of mask, touch ups during shoots, and a goodie makeup bag). She was definitely one of the main reasons why I had a great wedding day. She is AMAZING!!! I would recommend her for any and all type of events.

Best decision I made in vendors!

Abby is truly amazing! I had my wedding on 11/5/2021 and Abby did my makeup and hair. She was super professional, caring and she exceeded my expectations of both hair and makeup. I received so many compliments on how flawless Abby made me look. She also provided me with so much support and comfort when I was freaking out before walking down the aisle. I smudged my makeup from tearing right before I walked down the aisle and Abby came to the venue to fix it for me, she was my saving grace on wedding day. Abby is the best wedding make up artist

If you want to look stunning on your wedding day and you are looking for a professional, skilled, thoughtful, and detail oriented make up artist, then Abby should be your first choice. Because of Abby I looked and felt AMAZING on my wedding day. Also let me add that she is not only a skilled make up artist, but she does hair as well. From my initial meeting, Abby provided tips and helped me with selecting the right vendors (ie photography, videography, coordinator). She has been doing this for a long time so she knows all of the Top Vendors to ensure you have a smooth wedding experience. She even gave me tips about ensuring I had a steamer for my dress since it was satin. Every time I would reach out to her, she would respond within 24-48 hours with advice and answers to all of my questions. I’m terms of the wedding day, she arrived on time (early) and made me feel comfortable as she did my face and hair. My finance and I could not agree on an introduction song and she heard my coordinator reminding me to select one and suggested an amazing song. Then after realizing on the day of that I would need someone to touch up my face since it was 97 degrees outside I asked her to stay until the reception and she agreed. This was the best decision I could have made. Abby took amazing pics and videos of me and my husband on my phone (please note you will need phone pics since it takes time to get your professional pics back) and fanned me and kept me calm, cool, matte, and beautiful through the whole experience. I would recommend booking her at least until your reception. Trust me it is worth the money. :)

If I could redo my wedding day all over again, Abby would definitely be at the top my list of people I would book over and over again. She was professional, punctual and made sure that everything was perfect!! My makeup was FLAWLESS for my wedding ! She went above and beyond my expectations. My makeup felt light weight and effortless but still glamorous ! I really felt beautiful on my wedding day and my makeup stayed on all night (which is a A+ in my book!)

I was married on April 10th 2021 in Newark, NJ and Abby was my makeup artist for my wedding day! Abby has such a soft and calming personality! She is truly amazing at what she does! I don’t know much about makeup but Abby made me feel so safe and she delivered the look I wanted! On my wedding day Abby came prepared with all her makeup supplies and delivered a look that was soft but very glamorous! She even took time to prep my skin with a face mask prior to makeup application! I felt and looked like a princess! She takes her time and made sure that my makeup lasted the entire day of my ceremony, through the reception, and through all the tears! Absolutely zero regrets. I could not have picked a better makeup artist for my wedding. As a Virgo, I notice details and I am thoroughly pleased. Abby is extremely attentive, neat, clean, kind and detail -oriented. She is professional and warm. She makes sure that as a bride you are kept zen and she is super respectful. I looked stunning and flawless ( if I do say so myself) for both the makeup trial and the day of my wedding. She tweaked the looks on both days so it was not identical but both looks were soo gorgeous. She gave me such confidence and was an absolute pleasure to work with. The best decision I made for my wedding

I am not sure I can express through words how great Abby's services were but I will do my best. I never discussed what I wanted to look like on my wedding day but Abby did her thing. I looked absolutely flawless, better than I could imagine. I looked like my self but enhanced. Everything was blended so perfectly. Abby brought to light features I didn't even know I had. She made me look and feel like a real queen on my big day.Not only did she execute the make up perfectly but she went way beyond that. Abby helped me with dressing up. She ensured I was snatched in that dress. She kept on making sure I was good through out. I had wardrobe malfunction with my dress and she fixed it for me with no hassle. She ensured I was well hydrated even up to providing pain killers and a snack when I needed it. She really went above and beyond her duties that day. I have absolutely no regrets going with Abby for my big day. Wedding Day Glam

Abby did my make-up, dressed me, made sure everything was on point. My veil was extra-long. She made sure it was not in my way. When you’re getting married, you NEED Abby. She is very professional and knows what is expected. My make-up was FLAWLESS. After my make-up was complete I looked in her juicy looks mirror and my eyes got watery AGAIN I couldn’t help it. I looked sooooo beautiful WOW!

During our consultation, I told her I am a cry baby. During the getting ready phase, I laughed and cried !! For the Ceremony, I cried Abby was on point! Picture Perfect

I thoroughly researched tons of makeup artist and specifically bridal mua. I had key areas i wanted to focus on, color/complexion matching, longwear of my makeup and looking like myself. My husband doesnt like tons of makeup so i wanted to look as natural as possible but still GLOWING. i knew from the moment we spoke Abby was special. She was so understanding and accommodating. She quickly understood my needs and wowed me with my makeup trial. I didnt think it could get any better but on my wedding day..... in my husband’s exact words, “ he was in awe”. Best MUA ever!

Abby was a lifesaver! Without her I would not have been able to make it down the aisle. Abby did an Amazing job on my makeup. After looking at a photo later my husband called me “beautiful!”, he is usually not very descriptive. Abby’s lifesaving skills were not in her makeup abilities though, they showed up when she was able to make my dress stay in place after the failed fix by a seamstress. She also had to fix my hair after a trip to a hairdresser turned to disaster. Abby never complained or stated that it was not her responsibility. She just stepped in and made sure it was done. For that I am forever grateful. Hiring Abby was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding day!

Abby is the wedding best mua!

Abby was my MUA for my engagement shoot and wedding day. From the moment I booked her she was nothing short of AMAZING! She was always a text or email away. She is so good with the skin, which is KEY to me on tip of every other aspect of makeup. On my big day she arrived early and stayed with me until my reception (9 hours). Abby did my makeup AND styled my hair. My curls were PERFECT! She touched up my makeup as needed, made sure I was perfect at all times, re-curled my hair before the ceremony, and assisted with my dress anytime she saw the opportunity or need. Abby is the truth, and enhancing a Bride’s natural beauty is her gift.

I first met Abby, during the #munaserandebk. I recall sitting in the preparation room with the two other brides-to-be and Abby turned to us and asked, “Who wants to go first?” I stood up without hesitation and took Abby’s chair. She asked me what I was planning on wearing during the photo shoot, so we can talk about my makeup look. But, I told Abby to do what she thought would look best on me. And so she did, because my makeup was flawless. I don’t think I ever felt so beautiful and my Fiancé at the time totally agreed. But here is a little secret, what I notice as soon as I walked into Abby’s makeup area was, she was extremely organized, punctual, friendly and clearly a professional. And oh, her personal makeup on that day was flawless! After the event I didn’t want to wash my face, and that is when I was sold on #juicylooks.

Although, we still had over a year until our wedding day, our minds were made up that Abby had to do my wedding makeup. I remember reaching out to Abby and telling her to save my wedding date and to contact me when she started booking 2019 weddings. She did, and the process of booking was seamless. After booking Abby for makeup, I realized that she also did bridal hairstyling. Abby had posted pictures, on her instagram page, of old school Hollywood waves that I believed would go perfectly with my wedding day look. So, booking Abby for bridal hairstyling services seemed like a no brainier lol. On my wedding day, my only makeup request was that “I looked like a Bride.” I already had full confidence that Abby knew how to enhance my natural beauty, so I knew I needed something extra but didn’t know how to explain it in words.

On my wedding day, as expected, Abby was early. She set up in the bridal suit and I felt like a total Queen. She took her time to create the perfect makeup look and my hairstyle was pure perfection. The lipstick color she picked was perfect!!!!! I honestly looked flawless. When I looked at myself in the mirror for the first time on my wedding day, I was in AWE. I honestly took my own breath away (seriously!!!). Abby honestly, went above and beyond on my wedding day, and I am very grateful. I feel like words cannot do justice how amazing Abby was not only on my wedding day but also during the wedding planning process. From the moment I initially contacted her, she was extremely warm/welcoming and exuded professionalism. From the phone consultation, to my makeup trial to the actual wedding day, Abby constantly surprised me with her amazing work ethic and friendly personality. We connected immediately over the phone because of our cultural backgrounds and she was excited to attend her first Guinean/Malian wedding. When I went for my makeup trial she had a sign welcoming me, amazing music, and a beautiful studio setup. She was very attentive to my wants but also provided suggestions and I left feeling sure that my makeup would be executed perfectly on my wedding day. Throughout the whole process she was simply a phone call or text away and she explained thoroughly what to expect with the package I booked. I booked Abby for my entire wedding day. She arrived punctually, bright and early in the morning. She did my makeup AND my hair flawlessly. She even brought a mannequin for me to hang my dress on which was extremely beautiful for photos. She followed me the entire day like a personal stylist. She gave me tips for photos, made sure I ate, calmed my nerves and touched up my hair and makeup. She executed my second makeup look perfectly for my outfit change and even tied my traditional African head-wrap. Abby is phenomenal. She goes above and beyond. She is truly compassionate and her work speaks for itself. My photographers were so excited because she made their jobs easier with editing since my makeup was so flawless haha. Abby will be my go to makeup artist for any future events. Her expertise is unmatched. Amazing MUA!!

Let’s just say I am sooo happy I booked Abby for my wedding day! I found Abby on IG and was immediately impressed with her work! I booked her a year in advanced to get that date secured. Abby was really great with communication via text, phone call and email. On the day of the wedding, she was there bright and early! I was so impressed. She was very sweet and professional. Abby started off with a hydrating mask before applying the makeup. The final touch was literally perfection. I have super sensitive eyes and the lashes were not staying on. Wedding Makeup

Abby was actually one of the first vendors I booked for my big day. Having seen her work online I knew I wanted her to be my makeup artist. Prior to my wedding day she was very responsive through email and text. We did not do a trial session but she was able to get an idea of the look I wanted from photos I sent to her prior. Abby was professional, timely, prepared and very thorough. She did not disappoint. You can tell she loves what she does and she takes pride in each Juicy Look bride that comes her way. Abby is truly heaven sent and I could not have asked for a better makeup artist. Her expertise and professionalism are unmatched. As a woman with dark complexion, I struggled to find a makeup artist who understood my skin tone. I learned the hard way that many MUAs did not understand how to work with darker tones. I found Abby on Instagram and her work spoke for itself. When I reached out to her, she responded quickly and answered the hundreds of questions that I had, which was always the case. I did a makeup trial with Abby and by the time I reached my car, I had already decided that she had to be my MUA. My makeup was stunning. My foundation actually matched my skin tone. She brought my makeup vision to life.

Abby made me feel so beautiful on my wedding day. When I did my make up trial months back, I knew Abby was the one. She took her time to ask me questions about my vision for the wedding , got to know me , and just made me feel super comfortable while sitting in her chair. The only thing I asked was it to look natural. Fast forward to a couple of days before my wedding , I texted Abby a long question that also confused me lol , she instead called me to clarify and omg I felt so relieved because she brought clarity to my life. I was so pleased with my wedding make up. It was worth every penny I spent. When my husband saw my face, the first words that came out of his mouth were, "you look so beautiful, she did a good job with your make-up".

Abby-Juicy Looks was early to the appointment, responsive to all of my messages, attentive to my preference, flexible with my last minute change of venue, and mindful of time. She also styled my braids impressively, if you are familiar with micro braids, you will understand the effort and skill she put in.

My search for a makeup artist for my wedding began and ended with Abby. I was so impressed with the quality of her work during my trial. She was professional, attentive, and very friendly. Abby took pictures with professional lighting for me to get an idea of how my photography would look the day of my wedding. During our conversation, I discovered that she does hair as well. Therefore I hired her to do my bridesmaids' hair along with my makeup the day of the wedding. A few days before the wedding, I informed Abby that I wanted to change my eyeshadow colors. I sent her a picture of my gown and trusted her to come with a perfect look for me. On the day of my wedding, she arrived on time and ready to begin. She and her team quickly got through all 8 of my bridesmaids hair. She started my makeup and even helped ease my nerves during the process. I LOVED my look. It was glamourous, pretty, and I felt amazing. I got so many compliments on it throughout the night. Hiring Abby was one of the best decisions I made as a bride.

I found Abby online and decided to book her based on her work ( which was absolutely gorgeous). I am not someone who wears makeup on a daily basis so I was a little nervous at first. But after meeting with Abby and doing a trial run I can say that I am sooo glad I found her! Not only is her work beautiful but she is 100% professional. Abby did a phenomenal job on my big day! If you're a WOC (Woman of Color), she is the perfect artist who will match your skin tone effortlessly! I had trouble finding a makeup artist who can work with dark skin tones plus style indian hair until I met Abby. Abby is incredibly talented and super sweet. I made many changes since I'm so indecisive but she was professional and had no complaints throughout. The morning of the wedding, she came bright and early. She slayed the look completely. I loved it so much and so did everyone else. I had many compliments about my makeup being the best wedding makeup ever. I would highly recommend her for anyone.

Any bride who wishes to look even more beautiful than normal, should absolutely hire Abby. She is amazingly attentive to your desired look and surprisingly executes this flawlessly. You will walk away from her chair feeling so beautiful and amazed! My then fiance complemented on how beautiful my make looked and this is coming from a man who is not a fan of makeup. I must also add that my wedding was a destination wedding and in a warm climate and I was nervous that any perspiration on my face wold ruin my make up and that was totally not the case. The makeup stayed on all night. You would do yourself and wedding party a disservice if you do not hire Juicy Looks to provide your makeup/beauty needs. Abby is THE best in the business!

I have never looked so beautiful in my life as I did the day of my wedding thanks to Abby ! She was fantastic in the whole planning and booking process, every question or concern I had she answered promptly. It was a very easy decision to book with Juicy Look as I saw first hand her bridal hair and makeup at a coworkers wedding. By the time my day came I felt comfortable and confident I had made the right decision.

I contacted various hair and make up stylists, prior to contacting Abby from Juicy Looks By Abby. She replied right away and set up my trial without any problems or hesitations. During the trial Abby took her time and tried a few options and never rushed me or made me feel like I had a time limit. I actually cancelled my other two trials after meeting with Abby and booked her right away. Abby ended up doing hair and make up for myself , the bride, the mother of the bride, a guest and my maid of honors (2). We all had different hair textures and complexions and Abby and her assistant made us all look flawless, gorgeous and elegant. I have pictures from guest that look like they were photoshopped however they are not, it is the wonderful hair and makeup. My hair stayed in place after walking in the rain and dancing the afternoon away. I was extremely blessed to have great vendors, and specially blessed that I had Abby and her team. She is professional, reliable, caring and just works magic. She took her time with me and I looked exactly how I wanted to look on my wedding day! All thanks to Abby and Ade ( her wonderful assistant). Abby and Ade also did misc. favors for me without any hesitations or me asking twice. Abby has always and will always be my favorite make-up artist. From stalking her on instagram to meeting her in person, my wedding experience with Abby was a hit. She is extremely professional but yet so welcoming and loveable. She is willing to help you with anything to make your day perfect. She is quick to respond to your every needs via email, phone call or text. I hired Abby for my engagement shoot, wedding introduction and my traditional wedding. Abby arrived earlier than our scheduled time, she spent time on making sure the makeup came out lovely and she also assisted me with my bridal hair (which i did not pay for) and my traditional gele and wrapper. Abby became a friend instantly and her personality made it easy for me to be calm and relaxed on my D-day. If you hire her for the full day, everywhere you turn, Abby is there to make sure your face remains flawless. I LOVED working with Abby and Juicy Looks! Not only did my hair and makeup look absolutely stunning, but Abby's flexibility, responsiveness, and professionalism were top notch. She was able to accommodate me adding hair and makeup services for certain of my bridesmaids very close to my wedding date, and even accommodated a last minute makeup request on my wedding day. She also granted my unusual request of starting my hair in one location and driving to another location for my makeup. She and her staff were super punctual and played a key role in keeping my wedding day on schedule. She also stayed after she was finished to make sure everything stayed in place for my wedding. Although I wish Abby could do my hair and makeup every day, I can't wait until the next time we are able to work together!

From beginning to end Abby was incredibly gracious, responsive, patient and kind. After my trial there were a few minor details I wanted to change. Abby executed those changes to perfection. Abby was extremely professional and talented. Some of my bridesmaids were running late and she handled the situation with professionalism. Where do I start!!! I came across Abby's work on Instagram and decided I wanted to reach out to her to retain her services for my wedding. Her work speaks for itself so I didn't feel the need to probe and nit pick. I signed a contract with her immediately. A few weeks before the wedding I went to NJ to meet Abby and she was just a wonderful human being. My trial went well. Abby takes her time and really gets to know you so she give you the look that you imagined on your day. I had an early wedding and I needed Abby to arrive at our hotel on Long Island at 5:30 AM, she was in my hotel room at 5:25 A.M. Abby and her team made sure we were are all made up beautifully and ready in time for the Limo pickup. Abby is the best! Before I had pleasure of meeting Abby, I had been burned badly by two botched make up trials that had me feeling wary of the entire process. All that changed on our first meeting. For our trial, Abby gave me clear and concise directions to get to her location. At the trial, she listened to my likes and dislikes and I let her do her thing. The results were marvelous. I immediately knew that I would be in good hands. On my wedding day, Abby was early to the venue and worked diligently on my girls and the moms. As a hands on bride, I sent an email to her about desired looks a few days before the wedding, again she listened and she over-delivered. Also having black women of varying shades in complexion in the wedding, I was concerned about finding a make up artist that not only had great technique but understood colors, shades and undertones. To this day, our wedding guests have told me how amazing everyone looked at the wedding. Abby's work is amazing. She and her assistant made up 7 women in a span of 4 hours and touched them up. People kept saying they have never seen anyone of us look so good. From eyelashes to long lasting eyeshadow (over 12 hours long and tons of dancing and our makeup was still in tact), Abby's work left me speechless.
