JP is amazing!

JP is a phenomenal DJ! We got married at the Cocoplum Woman’s Club last week and everything about it was spectacular! JP really brought my vision to life. Everything from the music at the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and the reception, the photobooth which was a great hit, the lighting and monogram on the dance floor. It was beyond my expectations. JP really took the time to listen to our ideas and preferences to make it all come to life. He kept the party going from start to finish. JP, THANK YOU!! Love,

This DJ had our guests dancing all night long!

A DJ can really make or break a wedding’s mood, and we’re so lucky we had JP running ours! Not only was he ULTRA responsive throughout the planning process — day or night, he would take our call (outside of events, of course) — but he was completely flexible, professional, and easy to work with.

He has a preference sheet you can fill out, and he reviewed every detail with us, giving advice where we needed some and flawlessly accommodated our requests while still being able to read the crowd and keep the energy high. We’ll never forget the moment all 150 of our guests got up on the dance floor and danced all night. Many friends and family raved to us and said “wow, he was so great and never even took a break!”

Because JP works exclusively with the Coco Plum (our venue), he’s familiar with the space and how to work it. We also did upgraded lighting, Photo Booth, and props, and the ambience was warm, inviting, and better than our vision.

Another noteworthy mention was how well JP was familiar with different cultural observances. We had a Jewish wedding, and he worked seamlessly with our rabbi, as well as knowing the best version of Hava Nagila to play for the Hora and other special touches. He paid special attention to names and family members involved in the toasts/dances.

Seriously, this DJ did not miss a beat!

Got everyone on the dance floor

Very professional, great playlist and made our wedding night such a fun night! I would highly recommend JP! We also did our lighting with JP and the venue looked amazing. Just as we wanted!

Dj jp rocks!

JP is a great DJ! Our guests rated him an 11/10! Our dance floor had a great energy the entire night and he played exactly what we wanted. He’s also a great communicator and makes the process super easy.

He handled unique requests for us that helped make our day super special. He helped set up special microphones so we could have one of our guests live perform our first dance song on a piano in the ballroom.

The lighting was perfect for creating the party atmosphere that we wanted.

Wedding Day

We really loved working with JP to make our ceremony and reception a night to remember. He answers every call every text every email always with a great attitude and always very professional. I don’t think anyone was sitting down at our wedding. The music was great. The lighting was great and JP really knows how to keep the party going. 🕺🏼🪩💃🏼

The best DJ in Miami

From the moment our venue recommended JP, he was simply amazing! Very detailed, organized, and such a breeze to work with. Even throughout the postponing of our wedding, JP was beyond understanding, always willing to help out. All the guests loved the music, the lighting and all he did from beginning to end! He’s the best!!

We hired JP for our wedding! He was recommended by our wedding coordinator. We had a Peruvian American wedding and were a bit worried that we wouldn’t have the right balance of American and Latin songs. But JP knew exactly how to combine both styles of music perfectly and our party was a hit!
JP was also super responsive, friendly and really knows his stuff!! He will make you feel at ease during the wedding planning process :) He communicates with you constantly and follows directions well.
Tip for monograms: I made my own on a website, make sure you ask JP what it looks like before the wedding/event. He does that too! Sometimes when you make your own they can look a bit crooked.
He also did our drapes and they came out beautiful! The lighting was also super gorgeous and exactly what I was looking for!

Our favorite DJ!

My husband and I got married two weeks ago and had our wedding reception at the Cocoplum Womans Club in South Miami. We went with the all inclusive wedding package that included JP as our DJ for the night. To be honest, we were very hesistant to hire a DJ without meeting him first to make sure that we had the same vibe - but seriously all hesitation/worry melted away when we finally got to speak to JP a few weeks before the wedding. He was super flexible, personable, and professional. During our wedding, he worked alongside the live band that we had hired and they were in perfect sync. We had amazing salsa/cuban music from a live band and all of our favorite club jams played by JP. It was such a fun night!! :)

What a party!

Literally the best DJ EVER!

Due to Covid-19, our wedding planning was a bit of a whirlwind and we had many unexpected last-minute changes. JP was super accommodating every step of the way and his services on the day-of were absolutely spectacular. He kept all of our guests pumped all night and his transitions were so incredibly smooth. 100% would recommend to anyone that wants an AMAZING DJ.

Fun non-stop party music!

JP was an awesome DJ for our wedding at the Cocoplum! He asked us what our requests were ahead of the wedding and the ceremony went perfectly, the entrance music and first dance went off without any issues! Throughout the cocktail hour and dinner hour the music selection exactly fit the vibe of our tropical wedding. Before dinner was over guests started dancing to the music JP was playing and they kept dancing until the party ended! This is a testament to JP's set and knowing what would get the crowd up and dancing! The lighting for the event was also beautiful - we recommend the string lights which create a romantic atmosphere! Thank you, JP!

Excellent service

We booked the music, lighting and photobooth for our daughter’s wedding. Her music choices were not traditional or mainstream and we had some mixing requests for the bride/groom dance. JP did a beautiful job and sent it to us for approval beforehand. There was a tiny issue with the photobooth the day of but JP took care of it without hesitation. The customer service is incredible. Would definitely use again.

Best experience and service!

JP was very professional and helpful from the beginning. He offers many services from draping, lighting, DJ and photobooth. I used all his services and have to say everything turned out better than I could have imagined! He always answer quickly, gives you ideas and is very flexible and willing to help you achieve your dream wedding! Price was very fair. He also makes you submit a form with all the requests you have and goes through it with you. The music was incredible, considering my husband is American and I’m from Venezuela and we listen do different music, everyone had a great time dancing. The photo booth was really cool and he later sent me all the pictures. The lighting was beautiful and helped transform the salon. I would trust Jp with anything regarding the wedding planning and I recommend him to anyone who’s looking to have an incredible time and a beautiful wedding! No doubt I would hire him again for my next event

Super fun!

JP is super fun, he speaks English, Spanish, and his Portuguese (or at least he thinks he does lol) just kidding he does really good. He is very funny. We had a blast picking the songs for my wedding. He would give me suggestions, he listens to everything I wanted. He's very attentive to details. I have nothing to complain about. He did an amazing job with the music and keeping everyone off on their feet. He respected all my wishes. I just loved everything. I could not have gone any better. YOU WILL NOT REGRET hiring him and his team.

Great Services + Professionalism

JP came highly recommended by our venue for his Music/Lighting services. He was very flexible, listened to what we wanted, and provided wonderful lighting and music for our reception. Many of our guests commented on loving the music. We also used JP for the photobooth and it was one of the most fun things for all of our guests, and we made sure to get great pics of us as well. The attendant was helpful in directing our guests to put a copy of their photo in our guest book and sign next to it. I would definitely recommend JP and his team for your wedding!

Life of the Party!

JP was the BEST DJ we could have asked for! We had very specific song requests including Romanian folk songs and Hora Loca and he didn't miss a beat. He made such a fun atmosphere and everyone danced until the very end of the night. We were really impressed with him and the party he created for us. We would definitely use him for any future occasion that comes our way. His energy is infectious and people really feed off of it! He also provided the lights inside and outside of the venue, including bistro lights. He even prepared a beautiful monogram on the dance floor. Thank you, JP - we loved every minute of our party!

A great DJ=great part

Working with JP was great. We reached out to him and he sent us a questionnaire with everything a DJ would need in order to MC and host a great party/wedding reception. Approximately a week before he verified it with us making sure everything was ok. Needles to say the music was awesome and the party kept going all night.

My husband and I highly recommend JP because of his experience, professionalism and calmness he brought to planning the music for our wedding day. Our wedding had two very different cultures with different tastes of music and he was able to blend that and anticipate the needs of the audience. His communication was highly efficient as well when it came to the details. Most importantly we had a blast and so many people came up to us throughout the night saying how great the DJ was. He was also responsible for the beautiful lighting inside the reception and out in the courtyard for our cocktail reception, which made such a difference. Thanks JP!

Amazing dj/mc

All I can say is.... WOW! JP is an AMAZING DJ & MC!!! He was the DJ/MC at our wedding on 11/10/18. I got numerous compliments from my guest of how amazing he was. He played both Spanish and English music, which was awesome for my guests considering we are a mix of Latinos and American. JP also did the lighting for our reception along with the monogram. The venue really looked like a dream, it was exactly what my husband and I imagined it would be. I highly recommend JP music Lighting! JP truly is THE BEST!!

JP did such an amazing job with our ceremony and reception! The quality of sound was great and my guests had a blast with all of his music choices. My husband is from Brazil and JP made all of his guests feel welcome and have fun by providing a fusion of funk and popular American music! My father/daughter dance was a medley of different songs, which JP mixed for us and it sounded amazing! We also had him pipe and drape the space which absolutely transformed the room into a magical, whimsical new space. Our wedding was a destination wedding so we only met him the day prior to the ceremony but the level of communication that we had leading up to the day made the day of so easy and flawless! Thank you JP! I would 100% recommend his services to friends and family!

JP was amazing!! His work on draping the recpetion was absolutely beautiful, we couldn’t have imagined it to look any better. The photo booth was a hit and all the guests enjoyed it! As for him being a DJ/MC he was phenomenal. He had everyone up dancing, knew how to pump up the crowd and the lighting effects made it that much better. JP is a Phenomenal Dj and MC. You cannot beat his package prices. He is an expert on making the party EPIC! I hired him for my wedding and I truly believe the way he mixed the music and played so much variety got all of my 222 guests up on the dance floor! His song choices were spot on, he could read the crowd so well and really made my day come to life. Everything he did was perfect. At some points I would just look at him with a facial expression and it was like he could read my mind, he is so amazing! The hanging bistro lights at my ceremony that he said up were perfect. He also brought the photo booth which had amazing quality pictures and props. The backdrop behind me and my husband was also beautiful. He is a one stop shop place. He’s also always available and quick to respond. I am very happy with his services and highly recommend!

I wouldn't change anything about my experience with JP. He was more than easy to get in touch with whenever I had questions or concerns about any aspect of my wedding he was handling. JP not only was the DJ for the wedding, but provided lighting. My main concern was to keep people happy and dancing during the reception, and he delivered. We gave him a vague idea of what we wanted (latin mixed with modern/contemporary music) and told him to play whatever the people wanted. He totally delivered! My reception was so much fun and the dance floor was full of people the whole time. His announcements were timely and did not seem to interrupt the flow of the evening. I would definitely recommend JP to anyone looking for a reliable and professional DJ.

JP came to us as our DJ via our venue, and I am SO GLAD he did! Every song, every special request, every crazy idea we had was brought to life by JP. My groom and I were able to provide all music details via his online form, which was incredibly simple and extremely well thought out. You can tell JP is an absolute professional by the attention to detail! In many cases, we simply provided a genre and JP knew exactly what mix to play to get the party started. I was so happy that I hired JP Lighting Decor for my wedding just a couple of weeks ago. He was recommnded to me by my wedding planner, Michelle Candelaria at Halo Events. He provided the DJ/MC service as well as lighting which included beautiful up lighting and strings of bistro lights. The lighting made the space feel so warm and magical!!! It was just gorgeous!! His DJ/MC services were fantastic and kept my guests dancing all night. He knew how to read the crowd and also stuck to my playlist of favorite songs. He is professional yet also very down to earth. I felt very comfortable working with him and I would definitely recommend him for any event.

What can I say about JP! We literally booked him a week before the wedding for the drapes for our location at Doral Park Country Club. From the first moment I messaged him he was very attentive sending me pictures and explaining to me how they work. His professionalism and amazing personality was what got us to hire him!! A week before your wedding you definitely do not want to be hiring vendors but JP made it all so easy with the help of her planner.

JP came with our package for our wedding at The Cocoplum. He and his crew did such an amazing job creating the wedding our dreams, both visually and musically. When we finally saw all the lighting and decor for our cocktail and reception areas we were blown away. As far as JP as dj and mc, he was awesome! JP was such a pleasure to work with! He is extremely professional yet easy-going, very organized and easy to talk to, and he definitely knows what he's doing. My husband and I live in Manhattan but we did our destination wedding in Delray Beach, FL and it was very easy for me to reach JP with my questions and concerns at all times-- he even made a trip to meet with me at the venue a few months before the big day. He was very accommodating with the list of songs we wanted played and even added some of his own picks to ensure everyone had a great time. I was actually pleasantly surprised to see a lot of my guests go on the dance floor for as much as they did since they usually don't dance much. They must've enjoyed the songs and energy during the reception since they're usually not a dancing bunch. JP also did such a great job with our up-lighting and accent draping. My husband and I loved how everything turned out and so did our guests! Everyone (both young and older guests) told me afterwards that they had such a great and fun time. We hired JP to be the DJ at our wedding reception. JP provided the music, the lighting and a photo booth which was a hit with our guests. JP did a really awesome job with our wedding at the Country Club. My husband and I are very picky about our music. We gave him a playlist which he played on the day of and incorporated some of us own dance tunes. He kept our guests dancing the entire night ! I planned my wedding from out of state, and JP was extremely helpful and responsive with every phone call I made. Each lighting package was explained to me clearly, and JP made sure that the lighting was everything I imagined for my wedding day. We sent him some song suggestions for the wedding and I'm not kidding when I say that the dance floor was never empty.

My husband and I are a little particular about music and JP was a dream to work with! He took all our requests and oddness in stride and was a MASTER at mixing together our tastes with everyone else's!! Literally, I've never seen everyone so thrilled to dance all night. He has everyone from every generation so satisfied with the music and up and about on the dance floor all night. Best decision I made. JP never missed a beat. The online form was easy to fill out prior to the wedding. We communicated several times via email and phone about questions I had and he answered everything. I made a playlist and all the songs were played, it was awesome. I also used purple up lighting in my venue and it looked great. Lastly, I had a photo booth and my guests loved it. There were several props - hats, sunglasses, boas and signage. We received a copy of every photo strip that night, which was very nice. The strips were personalized to my instructions. I also received an electronic link to seeing all the photos. The two assistants working the photo booth were extremely nice. My guests even got them in a picture. JP accommodated my request for the backdrop, at the last minute. It was perfect!

I would definitely recommend JP for your DJ, lighting and photo booth needs.

We used JP's team for DJ (Ceremony music & mic, cocktail hour and reception) as well as lighting and photobooth rental. Everything went so smoothly, and JP was extremely easy to work with from beginning to end, and our DJ (who I think was named Gilbert) was great, getting everyone pumped up for the evening. Everyone at the wedding had a fantastic time, dancing and enjoying themselves and the photobooth was a great hit (so I'm glad we got it!). I've never booked a DJ before so I was worried about so many little things - little things only a neurotic bride would be worried about; but JP completely assuaged any fears I had, and I was able to walk down the aisle and into my reception with complete ease of mind.

I would recommend JP and his team for any function where you need amazing personality, great music, beautiful uplighting and an overall magical evening! 5 stars all around! :)

JP was included in our wedding package at Coco Plum and we couldn't be any happier that we had him as our DJ/lighting professional. His list of music to choose from was updated with all the hits - he also allows you to choose any of your own music that may not be included in his music options. He played everything we requested, from the cocktail hour until the end of the night. Our wedding guests continue to compliment the music, as everyone danced all night long. JP also provided the lighting for both the reception and cocktail hour. The lighting completely transitioned the space into something amazingly beautiful. JP came very highly recommended. He was the DJ at my sister-in-law's wedding six years ago in 2008.

I was a bit disappointed that it was not JP who was our actual DJ at our wedding reception. Unfortunately, my husband and I didn't learn this until we literally walked in to our reception.

Nevertheless, the DJ he assigned was very professional and had our party going all night. My guests were very impressed with the music selection and the feasibility of requesting their favorite songs, which the DJ asked our permission for and we allowed.

JP is a great person to work with. He really listened to what we wanted, and accomplished everything!!! Really knows how to manage a croud.

If there was a way to rate higher I would. He is a complete professional, ready to do whatever it takes to make your event one everyone will be talking about for years. Thank you so much for making my wedding magical!!!

The blue uplighting was awesome in the ballroom! JP kept the crowd dancing and energy high. He even made a few music mixes for the recessional and the mother-son dance, which sounded perfect and everyone loved. If you want a memorable DJ and beautiful uplighting to make a lasting impression of guests, JP is the man for the job.

JP was simply the BEST- I planned my wedding from far and he made the process so easy. The quality of the lighting was fantastic and the music selection was great :) I even trusted him to chose some of the music. Everyone danced the night away. Thanks JP for making our night so memorable.

Amazing!

JP made our night and experiene memorable. He worked around our budget with the lighting and decor packages and did not try to be pushy and "up sell" like other DJ's. Extremely professional while still keeping that "party" feel to him.

The music was amazing, state of the art equipment. He checked with us on every minor detail to make sure everything was perfect.

I would recomend JP not only for weddings but any event a million times over.

JP made our ceremony truly special by listening to our comments and needs and making them happen at our ceremony. He is a real professional and played every song we requested-- even the ones that he had to dig pretty deep to find! We would hire him again in a heart beat!

JP was wonderful!! He was so flexible in both our song list and our lighting options. I wanted a package that wasn't currently offered and he tailored it to exactly my needs. We gave him a pretty big list of songs with a wide range of genres and he mixed them perfectly for our crowd. I'd recommend his services to everyone.

Great Music, people were dancing even before the dance music began. I danced all night, and many people were barefoot or had changed shoes by the end of the night.....sign of a great party!

JP provides TOP QUALITY service. I believe the DJ can make or break a wedding and with JP you won't have to worry about your guests getting on the dance floor. Everyone at the wedding danced the night away and had an amazing time. Thank you JP for making our wedding so memorable.

DJ JP is such a great person and professional! His DJ service was part of the venue package and I had never heard about him from other brides, but I was SO impressed with the music that night! We gave him a song list and he definitely got our style and we danced the entire night. He was great with my friend’s requests and kept the party going. He was very flexible with the uplighting, since we were on a budget. He helped me get what I want for a very reasonable price. I showed him a picture of the colors I wanted and he totally made it happen. The uplighting made such a difference in the room and courtyard, it was breathtaking and even more gorgeous than I imagined it would be.

This was for a 50th birthday party, not a wedding, but everyone loved the music. JP and I discussed what I wanted and what age groups would be there. I had a few specific requests and then left the rest up to him. Still getting compliments on the music!

JP is exactly what you want in a DJ. He meets with you beforehand to get a grasp of what you're looking for in your reception. He isn't afraid to give you his host opinion. He kept our party going till 2:30am with an amazing mix of music for all ages. He made the party fun and his up-lighting is a must! Adds a great feel to the venue.

Gilbert was the perfect emcee and host for our reception. He was an amazing DJ; did a great job with making announcements; handling requests and also playing our pre-selected song list; and generally kept the crowd on the dance floor (moving and having a fantastic time). We still wish we were at that reception. Everyone had such an amazing time. Thanks, Gilbert!!!
