Joseph is amazing!
Joseph was a joy to work with! He was very responsive and professional. He helped us feel so comfortable and fulfilled every request. Our photos turned out even better than we could have hoped for! He was familiar with our venue and really highlighted everything we loved about it. We are so grateful for Joseph and would highly recommend his services to anyone! -

All-Around Fantastic Photographer!

Joseph perfectly captured the intimacy and humor of my fiance and I's relationship with creativity and imagination. He listened to our story, got to know us personally, and then shot an engagement photo shoot in a busy urban area. Somehow he made that urban space as intimate and engaging as our living room. I can't say enough good things about Joseph. This is someone who will take the time to do your engagement/wedding photos with thoughtfulness and care. -

Highly Recommend!
Joseph was incredibly responsive and helpful right from the start, and the professionalism continued through it all! He answered every question I had along the way very quickly and made the photography aspect of the wedding worry-free. During the wedding, we were super appreciative of how present he was for every moment. It felt like every time we looked up he was always capturing the fun. He was also very kind and patient as we had several elderly family members who were part of the group pictures. I also highly recommend booking his second shooter. She was incredibly nice and the peace of mind of having a second shooter for the first half of the wedding was worth every penny. Prior to the wedding, we had a last minute engagement shoot with Joseph. He worked through some tough weather situations with us, took INCREDIBLE pictures, and got them back to us quickly. One thing to note was that Joseph did not put the white-ish filters on the wedding pictures that I have seen so much these days. I really appreciated that. He captured the natural colors of the the engagement shoot and the wedding perfectly. We were very pleased with Joseph's photography and professionalism. Highly recommend! -

It's hard to put into words how ecstatic I am that we chose Joseph as our wedding day photographer. From the initial conversation, Joseph was extremely kind, responsive, and helpful with planning out our wedding schedule and answering all of my questions. We were lucky enough to get to meet Joseph for coffee one day while we were visiting Asheville and he was an aboslute gem!
On the wedding day, he was extremely flexible with our schedule, we definitely fell behind at the beginning. He was lovely to get ready with and extremely kind and consiterate to all of the wedding party. We had a great time doing all of our portraits with him post-cemermony and stayed on schedule to make our grand entrance.
We just recieved our photos the other day and I am in complete disbleif about just how completey amazing every photo is, and I mean EVERY photo. I cannot believe that I am so in love with the entire album, there isn't a bad photo in there. Joseph didn't just take good pictures and edit them well, he captured every emotion that was felt throughout the day. Without personally knowing any of us, Joseph captured every person's personality to a tee. I literally cry watching a slideshow of my cermony because he makes you feel all the emotions all over again in his photography. I haven't stopped looking through my photos for days and I can't wait to print them out and put them all over my house and share them with the world.
You will not be even the tiniest bit disappointed with Joseph. It was hard to pick favorites, but I'm sharing a few of ours. -

Amazing quality and value!
Joseph is an amazing photographer! We hired him for our 2022 wedding and 2021 engagement photos and so far we have loved all of our engagement shots. He captured the beautiful mountain light, our love, and our natural smiles better than we ever could have imagined and I feel so confident I will love our wedding photos too! -

Excellent Asheville Wedding Photographer!
Joseph did an incredible job as our wedding photographer! From the first conversation to the photo delivery, he was incredibly professional, friendly and open to our ideas and special requests. Our wedding was delayed due to Covid-19 and Joseph was so gracious to work with us and accommodate the changes to our wedding plans. Also, he knew our venue quite well, and that coupled with his many years as a wedding photographer, allowed him to give ample recommendations on where/when to take photos. He was great working with all the various people on site at the wedding and overall fabulous to work with! -

We hired Joseph to take graduation photos of our son. 2020 was such a difficult school year and graduation we knew would be hard as the kids had a drive through graduation. We met Joseph at the Arboretum and had a wonderful experience. Joseph was so attentive to Hunter and the rest of the family jumped into some shots as well. We had hoped for a couple of good shots but were amazed at how well all of the pictures turned out. We had trouble choosing which ones we actually wanted to print. The prints were sent so quickly and turned out great. It was a terrific experience for our graduate and made the actual graduation mean even more. We will definitely use Joseph again with our next big event...maybe college graduation! :) -

Hiring Joseph as our wedding photographer was a great decision. He communicated well, did a wonderful job, and delivered our wedding photos right on time. We are enjoying our photos so much. Joseph was professional from start to finish and the prints are reasonably priced compared to other photographers I've worked with. The photos are really stunning and I can't stop looking at them. I really recommend Joseph Dix Photography! -

Joseph isn't just a photographer. He is the best desision we made, aside from saying yes to each other. He takes your most special and slightly stressful day and makes it a spectacular memory. He makes your day into a statement. He finds the tiny moments and magnifies them so they they can be showcased and enjoyed for years to come. He is so easy to work with. Most importantly he is exceptionally reliable. He goes above and beyond throughout the entire process. He is also a master of communication. He not only hears you, but he also helps give you insight. I would recommend him not only for weddings, but for anything that you want to be captured with photographs! -

Wonderful Experience, Amazing Photography
Joseph Dix Photography was the first vendor hired for my daughter’s wedding. Joseph came highly recommended and did not disappoint. As mother of the bride I couldn’t be everywhere on the big day. I was thrilled to see what I had missed in Joseph's beautiful photographs. We opted for a package that included two photographers. They were everywhere, capturing so many precious moments and memories. From planning to photo album, Joseph was patient, helpful, flexible and absolutely wonderful to work with! -

We knew Joseph was our guy the first time we met him and promptly cancelled another intro meeting with a different photographer. Joseph was communicative, open to ideas, professional and most importantly listened to what we wanted. And he delivered ten fold! Our wedding was a rainy Saturday in June which was really disappointing at first but ended up being really sweet and romantic. Josephs pictures completely picked up this vibe and we are so grateful for them. Best of all we ended up with a great new friend :) I would absolutely recommend Joseph Dix to capture your special day without reservation. -

Best photographer ever!!
Joseph was the most amazing photographer that I could've asked for on my big day! Weeks leading up to it, he would constantly be in touch to make sure all the details were smoothed out. We got married at Highland Brewery in Asheville, and wanted a place for our first look that didn't look like a brewery. We ended up doing it in the Meadow at Highland. I was a little nervous about it, but he made it look perfect! You can't even tell that we are still on Highland's land. I love it so much. He still keeps in touch with us, making sure that we are happy with all of the photos he gave us. I could not be more happy with his work, and hope to use him in the future! Thanks Joseph! -

Incredible photographer!
We cannot recommend Joseph enough! Long story short, we had our first photographer decide to practically back out three months before our wedding. An incredibly stressful situation turned into a perfect one. Joseph came to the rescue and made our day absolutely amazing. He was very kind and easy going- a true pleasure to work with. We were super awkward (and still are) at getting our pictures taken and he made us feel very comfortable. All of our friends and families are still talking about our pictures and our wedding was two months ago! Thank you Joseph for making our day perfect and giving us so many pictures to remember it by!! -

Joseph was my wedding photographer, and did an amazing job. He offered a second photographer at a reasonable hourly rate, which we selected for several hours to cover our ceremony and other key moments. He is exceptionally skilled at unique portraits with depth, and was tirelessly taking photos for six hours nonstop. Joseph was very easy to work with, and provided guidance while allowing us to assume natural poses. I can't wait to see the leatherbound photo book he is putting together for us! -

We were in a time crunch and everything was a bit hectic, however we had a referral from another vendor about Joseph and his work - needeless to say we were blown away when we received the link to the proofs and the photos. Joseph was prompet, courteous, intuitive and open to hearing our ideas on what we wanted. During the time that Joseph and is Assistant were very well engaged with our wedding party, our guests and us to ensure that the special moments from our day were captured forever. We would highly recommend Joseph to any prospective couple, his attention to detail and ability to capture all that is special about your day in photograhs is simply amazing.
