My husband and I were on a tight budget and although we knew photos were special we both hate getting our pictures taken and were actually going to forgo this, but then I came across some of Jose's pictures online and knew I needed him to take our wedding photos and they definitely did not disappoint. I felt like my best friend was taking pictures of us. Everything was so easy and seamless. I highly recommend using Jose for your event photo needs and will definitely use his services again when we have another big event. -
User2214025 Sent on 07/07/2015Jose was great in terms of planning for the engagement photo shoots, planning for the wedding and then executing on both. I never thought of myself as being photogenic but his very clear, simple and direct guidance on what to do, when and how -- in terms of posing -- made me and my husband look and feel like models. His vision for exactly where to shoot and what angles to get were spectacular. Simply amazing and great at his craft. -

From the 1st time we met with him to discuss photographers for our wedding, we knew he was our best option. He takes the time to answer your questions, and he comes thoroughly prepared. As he took pictures during our wedding, we got to see how knowledgable & experienced he truly is. He was very at ease in the process, and it was quite beneficial to us when you consider how stressful weddings can be. You can tell he's a true veteran of the process, and he made us very comfortable. One of the best things of all was that our final pictures were so good, that it took us a long time to make a final decision on what to use for our wedding album. In the end, we were very very pleased with Jose's photography, and and our finished wedding album is a gem. Great Photos = Memories for a lifetime

Not only is he very talented as a photographer his personality and professionalism really adds to having such a pleasurable experience with him as our wedding photgrapher. He was able to manage a huge talkative bridal party with some members being a little tardy with no hesitation not missing a beat and still capturing all of the wonderful and special moments of the day. We could not be happier with our pictures. Also Jose is easy to be in touch with and answers all questions and concerns promptly. We would highly recommend Jose to everyone who needs a wedding photgrapher! -

Morgan Sent on 07/28/2011While planning for our wedding, my then-fiance and I met with four photographers and liked them all quite a bit. We even thought we had a good idea which one we would choose to shoot our wedding. But we still weren't 100% sure, and we still had one more meeting scheduled... with Jose Reyes in Nyack.
After meeting with Jose, we instantly knew that we wanted him to be our photographer, and now, a week after the wedding, we couldn't be happier with our decision. The wedding was this past Friday, in 100+ degree heat at the New York Botanical Garden. Despite the weather, we had a fantastic time taking photos outdoors before the ceremony. Jose was patient, thorough, funny, charming, and very creative getting cool shots of us, our family, and our wedding party.
We ordered a wedding package that included an album and a complimentary engagement shoot, which we did in April, also at the NYBG. It was a nice opportunity to get to know Jose better, learn to feel more comfortable in front of the camera, and scout some locations for our wedding day photos. He was really easy to work with, and seemed to really enjoy himself as well. We were expecting to take an hour or so, but we kept exploring and finding more interesting places to take shots, and it turned into a full afternoon.
I tried to be very thorough researching wedding vendors, but if you want to save some time, meet with Jose first... you won't be disappointed.
