Incredible Performer and Professional
Jonathon was one of the best finds for our wedding! He was extremely professional, responsive, and flexible for all the mishaps a wedding day may bring. One of the defining moments of working with Jonathon was his ability to learn songs we requested and playing them incredibly well for our ceremony and private dance. He truly should be charging more for his services as he is incredibly unique and perfect for your ceremony!

Absolutely beautiful
Jonathan played for my wedding dinner and provided beautiful music. He was the perfect balance of entertainment and background music. Jonathan also accompanied me as I sang a song to my new husband. Wonderful Guitarist
Jonathan was amazing! He made it easy to choose songs for my ceremony, and even learned a custom song for the recessional. He arrived on the day of the wedding on-time and ready to play. I didn’t have a wedding coordinator, but Jonathan was in place and ready to go right at the start of the ceremony and the music was beautiful. He also played for an hour at cocktail hour. I would recommend him to anyone.

Wedding Ceremony and Cocktail Hour at Reception
We got married at the Harrisburg Capitol Building and we had no idea what that meant or to plan the music for that type of venue. Not only did Jonathan already have experience at that venue, he walked us through the entire planning...giving advice, but letting us have the input we needed to make it ours. Then (and this doesn't happen often) he showed up and did exactly what he promised he would. The entire wedding went off without a hitch and everyone talked about how amazing the music was. We went from a small wedding on an even smaller budget to having the classiest wedding music around! We cannot thank him enough for truly making it our dream wedding.

Beautiful music and attentive service!
I found Jonathan through a different vendor on WeddingWire who highly recommended him. We hired Jonathan to play prelude music, professional, recessional, and to coordinate first dance music. Jonathan was very patient with me and responded to all of my countless emails very promptly.
He also sent me recordings of the requested songs I wanted and made accommodations when needed to make sure everything went smoothly! The music he played was beautiful and really added the perfect touch to our small ceremony.
I would highly recommend anyone looking for a musician to consider Jonathan and listen to the samples on his site.

We can’t say enough about Jonathan! We had a small, intimate ceremony followed by a large 135 person reception. Jonathan was very responsive and very reasonable. He helped me (the bride) with selections when I was unsure what would be good fits for the different parts of the wedding, and clearly knows his stuff! He really made the ceremony become an intimate and emotional moment in our lives, and we can’t thank him enough! He was such a pleasure, and played beautifully!

Great sound solution!
Delighted to have Jonathan play at our ceremony. He was able to support our officiant with an amp for her mic, cue up our ipod for a particular song, and most importantly- serenade our guests! Jonathan played 30 mins while our guests were mingling pre-ceremony, as well as ceremony music, and 30 minutes to follow. As bride and groom we were not able to sit and enjoy but our guests made a point to compliment his playing. He was easy to work with, and very responsive. Highly recommend!

Jonathan was a great addition to our wedding! He was always quick to respond with any questions i had. Showed up early to make sure everything was set up. Also fairly priced ! Him and his partner ( i had the duo option) sounded beautiful as so i am told ! This was during my formal pictures so i unfortunately did not get to enjoy it. My guests however kept commenting on how nice it was to have the live music. I would definitely recommend jonathan to anyone that was having a wedding or small party.

Jonthan and his crew (I had a trio of guitar violin and cello) were a delight at my wedding and were very open to any song requests or suggestions that I had. The price was the best I found anywhere and I cant even count the amount of vendors i contacted. Highly reccomend

Jonathan was amazing! His music was so perfect for our outdoor ceremony on October 6. Prior to the ceremony, he helped me pick out the songs for each part and he played everything so perfectly! I would highly recommend Jonathon as a ceremony musician!

Jonathan was absolutely amazing and SUCH a pleasure to have at our wedding ceremony. Every time I messaged him he responded within hours, he was always so detailed and thoroughly answered all my questions. He went above and beyond with his responses and made sure I felt comfortable with everything we chose. Not to mention there was a hurricane anticipated the weekend of our wedding and I told him that we were still getting married outside no matter what. To my surprise it did not phase him at all and he was down to do whatever we needed and plazas outside regardless of the weather. He was very professional and his music made our ceremony extra romantic. He even learned a couple songs we had requested! Jonathan was definitely a GREAT choice for us and I highly recommend him for whatever event you are planning! You will not be disappointed.

Jonathan was wonderful to work with. He arranged a vocalist, Trish and the two of them did everything I requested. He had some unique situations to deal with, my groom and I are 66 years old and our Grandchildren, 11 total, were our wedding party! Really enjoyed working with Jonathan. He was always prompt with answering emails, was on time for the event and very professional throughout the whole process. His fee was beyond reasonable. His style of music was exactly what we were going for and it fit perfectly with the setting. We never actually got to meet him in person because of the craziness of the day, but correspondence with him over email was very good. Jonathan is a very talented individual. He came to the rehearsal and had learned a couple songs that I had requested months ago. They sounded beautiful, my mother immediately started to cry when he played Somewhere Over the Rainbow. He played during the ceremony and cocktail hour, extremely reasonably priced. I absolutely loved working with Mr. Kunkle. When my husband and I found him via Wedding Wire, we reached out to Mr. Kunkle and received a quick response back. We spoke with Mr. Kunkle over the phone multiple times throughout the course of planning. He answers all of our questions, and the price of his musician services is very reasonable! He shared his repertoire of song selections, as well as offered to play any music that we wanted that he did not have in his repertoire. John willingly purchased, practiced, and played Clair De Lune for me to walk down the aisle. It was absolutely beautiful! Also, John was very flexible with the rehearsal date, since it was a few days earlier than our wedding date. On the day of our wedding, we had rain, and John was very flexible with the change in ceremony location at the venue. I would definitely recommend John to anyone looking for a musician for weddings and special occasions! Thank you so much, John, for making our day very special!

My wife and I recently asked Jonathan Kunkle to perform classical music during our wedding and we couldn't have been more pleased by his professionalism, talent and kindness. During the wedding and rehearsal, he was able to match pieces from his repertoire to fit the parts of the mass superbly. One example when he demonstrated his fine taste was during our nuptial blessing. We hadn't thought of a piece to ask him to play beforehand, but Jonathan jumped in immediately with "Romanza" and it couldn't have been planned - or played - any better! Also, the "Wedding Chorus" was much fuller on the guitar than I originally anticipated and is also beautifully arranged. Our guests also mentioned how much they enjoyed his performances and were curious to learn more about him and his music. We cannot recommend Jonathan highly enough.

John gave our son private guitar lessons during his high school years.
When our daughter was married, John was the person we wanted for live music during the cocktail hour. He played classical guitar selections and set the tone for a lovely evening. We recently asked John to play once again at a garden wedding reception for our son and wife. John played beautifully and helped make the evening very memorable for our family and close friends. We would not hesitate to ask him for another engagement.

Wedding Ceremony
Jonathan was wonderful to work with. We heard him play at a wedding expo and immediately fell in love with the sound of his music. He was very accommodating with songs that I wanted played at my ceremony that was not on his list on his website. The music was beautiful during the ceremony.

Perfect Touch for our Ceremony
We hired Mr. Kunkle to play at our ceremony which was held at the Capitol Rotunda in Harrisburg. We had some special requests that we asked to be played and they were perfect. There was great communication ahead of time and very reasonable in pricing.

I contacted Jonathan approximately one month before my wedding, in a pinch, and he was able to play for my ceremony. He responded back to me the very same day, via email, and we worked out all the details. Did I also mention that my ceremony was over an hour away from his home, and didn't charge any extra. He was very affordable! Would recommend him to anyone!

Jonathan provided amazing ceremony music and even did our cocktail hour! He was VERY flexible in that my DJ showed up late, and Jonathan was more than willing to help out and offered to play during our dinner to cover for the DJ. The day before our wedding I asked for some last minute requests and Jonathan was more than accommodating. I received a LOT of compliments on his music and his professionalism. I'm so thankful he was part of our big day!! As a side note I gave him a 4.5 out of 5 stars on responsiveness which may be due to my impatience. Jonathan's longest respond time via email was only about 2 days. If you are looking for a relaxed atmosphere with beautiful music at a good price Jonathan is your man!
