The best experience and absolutely stunning photos!

Jonathan is the most amazing wedding photographer! We were speechless when we got our photos back! They are perfect! He has such a creative eye for the most stunning shots that you can feel the emotion through. He made the entire process from first meeting him, through engagement photos and the wedding so easy and simple! We got our sneak peak photos back within days after the wedding and our whole album back less than two weeks after. We couldn't have been happier that we chose to work with Jonathan and how calm he was while shooting, which made us feel extremely comfortable as well! Would recommend him 100 times over!

Sensational

Our experience with Jonathan can be summed in one word: Sensational. If you are even in the slightest bit considering Jonathan Gibson for your wedding experience, do it, you will not regret it.

First of all, Jonathan was extremely professional, cordial, and exciting. We met Jonathan the day before our wedding for a photoshoot and pre-wedding party, however, by the end of the day we did not consider him a vendor that we hired but more of a wedding guest and mentor. He immediately won us over with his innovative poses and designs. He worked with us meticulously to include and improve upon our photography ideas. Additionally, it seemed like he genuinely enjoyed the wedding event, communicating with guests and working with our groomsmen/bridesmaids to get candid and joyous shots of the party.

Wedding photography is an extremely nuanced field that requires extensive experience and education. Jonathan performed all the intangible tasks that make him stand out against any other photographer we have spoke with or seen at other weddings. A simple examples of this is that he carried an aura of energy with him wherever he went. This energy diffused out to all those surrounding him and even helped us loosen up, enjoy the wedding and take phenomenal wedding shots. Our wedding planner even commented that his energy was contagious and motivated everyone else on the wedding team to step up their game. Countless guests also asked for his contact information.

Additionally, Jonathan brought along two excellent assistants, Jess and Shelby, that proved to be just as professional and invested as he was. They worked with us to further add an extra spark to our wedding day.

Lastly, his photographic edits were elegant and flawless. He added his stylish signature that complemented both of our outfits, physical features, and wedding venue. Jonathan knew every angle to hit and capitalized on every moment. When we first looked through our wedding photos we were simply awe-struck, each photo was seemingly better than the last. We could not have dreamed for more beautiful photos and we are so glad that we will be able to relive our big day for the rest of our lives!

In summary, invest in Jonathan Gibson and he will invest more in you.

Choose jonathan!

My husband and I chose Jonathan as our destination wedding photographer after our local photographer cancelled last minute. It was a stressful situation, but he made the process very simple. He came highly recommended by our friends and we loved the photographs he did for their wedding. Jonathan went above and beyond to be present for our three day celebration. He is so kind and easy to work with. He is very flexible and accomodating. Jonathan is so artistic and incredibly talented. We absolutely LOVE our wedding photos and honestly could not be happier with his work. His ability to capture our wedding celebration in such a unique and special way has been such a blessing. We are so grateful things worked out the way they did so that Jonathan could be our wedding photographer. We will definitely ask for Jonathan to capture our future life events.

Amazing photos!

Best Wedding Decision Ever!

Choosing Jonathan to be our wedding photographer was the best decision! We have now worked with him three times: our engagement session, family photos, and our June 2020 wedding day. He is a true professional and so easy to work with. Jonathan was an amazing resource for planning both our original large wedding and an intimate ceremony. When COVID-19 forced us to change our wedding at the last minute, we knew we could still make our day just as special with Jonathan’s help. His flexibility and expertise put us at ease, and it was so comforting to know we would have amazing photos no matter what our day looked like. Jonathan has such a wide range of creative talent and delivered fabulous modern shots as well as beautiful traditional wedding photos. He perfectly captured our style and was a pleasure to spend the day with! We shared our photos with family and friends who were not able to attend our wedding and have never received so many compliments. The only problem is we have way too many favorites shots! We are so happy with all the photos and can’t wait to work with Jonathan again in the future!

Absolutely incredible

I would recommend Jonathan to absolutely anyone looking for a wedding photographer. He exudes a calming sense of confidence and is incredibly pleasant to work with. He worked diligently from early in the morning until the end of our reception. He brings a second shooter, but he definitely runs the show, while his second shooter is more of an assistant. He has an eye for unique shots from even more unique perspectives. He managed to capture emotions and memories that I didn't know was possible. Even better, he got our portfolio to us in less than a month! I have received compliments from family and friends that they are the best wedding photos they have ever seen, and I have to agree. Incredible to work with, even more incredible photos!

Jonathan was absolutely amazing to work with and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for the best of the best in Cincinnati. He is ridiculously talented, detailed, and diligent, which all are clearly reflected in the incredible photos he delivers! He stayed with us the whole day, made everyone feel at ease, and was out there with us in the pouring rain getting insanely beautiful photos. We chose to add on the photo booth and it was definitely worth it! He has a stash of props but we brought some as well and I just can't stop laughing at some of them. He truly captured all of the fun and love in the air during both our engagement session and wedding day, and for that, we are forever grateful.

Beautiful editorial, artistic photographs captured with thought and empathy

Jonathan was a joy to work with! He has a very calming energy and an empathetic approach to photography. Prior to our wedding Jonathan was organized, communicative, and professional. He worked closely with us to make a list of the photographs we wanted and was receptive to our ideas and respectful of our preferences. The day of the wedding he and his second shooter were punctual and friendly and very patient with us as we worked to corral our large bridal party and families. Again, Jonathan listened to what we wanted and was able to read social situations to know when to move on to the next shot. He was also fabulous with our nieces and nephew when they were scared to have their photos taken. Finally, the photos are GORGEOUS. Not only are my husband and I in love with them, but our friends and family are too. I can't count on both hands the number of compliments we received on the quality and artistry of his work. My favorite things is that Jonathan managed to capture details and small moments that my husband and I missed that, when combined with all other images, work in harmony to tell the story of our day. I cannot recommend Jonathan enough!

Better than we could have ever imagined

Words can not truly describe how much my husband and I love our wedding photos. Jonathan was incredibly patient with us and our chaotic families and changes in photo location due to rain, and his calming presence made us feel like everything was going to be okay. To say that Jonathan is just another wedding photographer is more than an understatement. If there are two things that I am certain of, it is the person that I married and the photographer that I hired. From the moment I met Jonathan, he did everything right to make me feel comfortable and relaxed. To accommodate my hectic schedule, he was willing to have FaceTime meetings at all hours of the day. It was clear to me that Jonathan was more than a photographer he was a calming presence during a whirlwind of a year. When we met him during our engagement session this couldn’t have been more true. Jonathan walked away with a smile that night even after we accidentally showered him with a bottle of champagne during one attempted photo. Somehow, he had the impeccable ability to flawlessly wrangle and manage our 20 person bridal party for our pre-wedding photos. The photos that we received from him were jaw dropping. Our hardest job following our wedding was narrowing down photos for our wedding album- we wanted to include every single one. I promise, hiring Jonathan Gibson will be one of the best decisions you make for your wedding day.

Jonathan was simply amazing. He was always quick to respond to any communication, and always very attentive to our vision in the meetings leading up to our wedding. On the wedding day, he was so professional and patient with our large wedding party, and made everyone feel relaxed throughout a long day. Many of our guests commented on how he seemed to be "everywhere" throughout the day, which was definitely represented in the quantity of photos we received. The end result of the photos are absolutely gorgeous, and the candids really capture all of the special moments we hope to remember forever. Jonathan was incredibly professional the entire day. He kept us on schedule, was very patient, and knew exactly how to pose us. When we weren't posing, he sneakily captured the best, unique candid shots. Looking through our photos, it's clear he sees the world differently than the rest of us--he finds the beauty in the smallest of details, and makes the ordinary look extraordinary. Hands down the most beautiful wedding photos I could ever ask for, and Jonathan is incredibly professional, and easy to work with. I can't begin to explain how highly I recommend Jonathan.

His work is the best mix of artistic and also glamorous, flattering wedding photos. It's the perfect balance to make your wedding photos not the same as every other wedding photo you see.

We worked with Jonathan for over a year, he did our engagement photos - which turned out gorgeous - and he was with us on our wedding day all day long. Besides his body of work, one of the reasons I chose Jonathan was that he had no time limit on his wedding day service. A lot of photographers do, and it made all the difference that he was able to be with us from getting ready all the way through the end of the night. When we received his photos back, we got to relive the entire day through his work.

He's a great guy, and so easy to work with. We had a huge wedding party and he kept things moving, so no one was frustrated with how long photos were taking. Huge thanks to Jonathan for capturing our day perfectly. We will cherish our photos forever.

Jonathan Gibson is truly incredible! He has such a gift for photography. We could not be happier with our wedding photos. What we love about Jonathan is his ability to capture moments, not just the events. He was able to capture the love in the air, as well as some really great action shots that showed movement with dancing and running around. In one shot he even got a picture of someone throwing a dandiya (like a drum stick) up in the air -- he got a mid air shot that is incredible! I would recommend Jonathan to everyone getting married in the Cincinnati area! He is also incredibly professional and so kind hearted. It was so nice to have a wonderful photographer, not only gifted, but also kind, as our wedding photographer :)

Jonathan took both “couple” photos in autumn and wedding photos in spring for us. I have to warn potential clients to be careful when selecting Jonathan because he seems to render people speechless. We shared our photos with all our guests and others and the only things we and they could say were words like “Wow,” “Oh my God,” “I can’t believe…,” “Astonishing.” The photos were that good.

He has the ability to read people; so, he was not only able to capture the moments of the day, he was able to capture personalities, hidden moments, and grand gestures. He caught the small details, the impossible shots, and overall mood of the room and the guests. Several of our guests purchased or printed photos of the silverware, the décor, and even the wait staff to hang in their homes because of the artistic quality.

His art aside, he is so easy to work with: he is calm, efficient, unobtrusive, and one of the most genuinely nice individuals we have met. We had such confidence in him, we were able to focus on everything else we needed to do that day, and let him do what he needed to do. We were not disappointed. We seriously cannot thank him enough…and he might be tired of us trying to do that by now.

My husband and I had the honor of working with Jonathan Gibson for our March wedding and cannot recommend him highly enough. The photographs Jonathan took are gorgeous, creative and so meaningful. Jonathan and his assistant captured every detail our of wedding day so beautifully, and each image is its own work of art. We love the images of our friends and family - the bridesmaids getting ready, my mother helping with my veil, my grandmother on the dance floor, our nieces asleep on chairs. Booking Jonathan Gibson as our photographer for our wedding was the best decision we made!! Worth every penny! He was such a calming and kind presence on our wedding day. Most people don't realize when they are booking their photographer, but you will spend basically your entire wedding day with your photographer following you around in some capacity. Having Jonathan as our photographer was such a pleasure. He did such a good job directing our rather large wedding party without having to be loud or obnoxious. He also had a way of making my husband and I feel comfortable in front of the camera. It's not every day that you are followed around by cameras, but he did such a good job making the experience seem as natural as possible. He was such a profressional and we loved how our photos turned out. Thank you Jonathan for capturing the amazing moments from our special day. Jonathan is a truly a talented photographer, who captured each moment of my daughter wedding in such a beautiful, personal and artistic way. Beginning with the engagement photos, Jonathan made both my daughter and her fiancé feel so comfortable and that allowed their photos to be a true reflection of the couple. The day of the wedding Jonathan was a quiet presence, capturing each moment in a way that still allowed us to feel that the moment was private and special. We also used Jonathan's photo booth at the reception and it was so much fun, and our guests loved it. After the wedding our photos arrived quickly, and they are absolutely stunning. We are thrilled that we have these beautiful photographs for a lifetime of memories. We highly recommend Jonathan Gibson Photography and we feel blessed to have had him at our daughter's wedding.

Having Jonathan as such a huge part of our wedding day was one of our best decisions we made in the wedding planning process. My fiancee and I were kind of nervous about being the center of attention and having our picture taken all day, but as soon as we started working with Jonathan all of those nerves went away. Jonathan made taking pictures so fun and easy. He is really a calming presence to have around and is very discrete when he captures those special moments. We had our engagements shots and wedding photos outside in area filled with lots of nature. Jonathan was willing to go anywhere, such as cold pond water or on a frozen pond covered with beautiful untouched snow, in order to capture beautiful moments. We recently got our photos back from the wedding and I cannot stop looking through them. I love so many of them that I can't narrow down my favorites! Jonathan is so talented and his photos captured every little moment of our wedding day so looking through photos really allowed me to reminisce on the entire day. If you hire Jonathan, you will have great memories in your photos that will help you remember the day for many years to come.

Absolutely incredible experience! We had Jonathan take our engagement photos, as well as our wedding photos. We were blown away with our engagement photos and knew he would do an outstanding job with our wedding photos. Boy, was that an understatement. Jonathan is the best around. My friends, family and my husband and I really enjoyed his company, his calm demeanor and the direction he took with our pictures. We truly could not be happier; and I'm a rather picky person to be brutally honest--I critique everything. Nothing to critique here! His work is flawless.

Jonathan was by far one of the best decisions we made throughout our wedding planning process! He is not only an AMAZING photographer but an wonderful person. He is the best person to have with you at throughout your wedding journey. We had so much fun with him during our engagement photos - it was a memory we will forever cherish. He also allowed me (an event planner) to sit back and relax. Jonathan made sure everything was perfect and that each picture was captured with grace. My bridesmaids even commented on how calm he was during some of the crazy moments and how good he was at organizing all of my family members. HE IS TRULY A SUPERSTAR! The photos Jonathan captures are truly breathtaking. Every image brings my husband and I back to that very moment. My sister, Madeline, and I both got married recently. Her wedding was in May and mine was a few months later in August. Initially, we had contacted some photographers from a bridal show and they were already booked for her wedding. Our mom started looking on her own for a photographer and came across Jonathan Gibson's website. Are we ever glad the others were booked! The pictures from my sister and brother-in-laws wedding were unbelievable. My husband and I also booked him for our engagement and wedding photos. He was with us from the time we started getting ready in the morning until the very end of the night and I don't think I saw him sit down once! He is always looking for the next shot. Our pictures are just as spectacular! The best way I can describe his pictures are they are like a story without words. Looking at them makes you feel like you are there, living the most awesome day all over again! We can't thank you enough Jonathan!

Choosing Jonathan to photograph our wedding was hands down the best decision we made throughout the whole wedding planning process. Jonathan was wonderful to work with from the moment we introduced ourselves, from engagement pictures to the wedding,and afterwards. He was easy to reach, a great resource for wedding questions and timeline help, and was always so pleasant and fun to work with. We couldn't have been happier with Jonathan Gibson, who captured our engagement session and wedding day. Jonathan's photographs were beautiful -- They really tell the story of our wedding day. From the tiniest details to the natural candid group shots, we love being able to look back and remember every moment of our wedding day.
Not only were the pictures incredible, but he was also amazing to work with. He was laid back and relaxed, but still kept us on schedule. He arrived early and stayed late. He made us feel comfortable and took perfect shots which really captured the joy and fun of the day. The only issue we had was trying to figure out which of the hundreds of amazing photos to print out! Johnathan Gibson Photography went above and beyond our expectations, and we will definitely be reaching out to him again for any future photography needs.

Jonathan Gibson did an absolute amazing job on my wedding photos! He is so creative and talented and found ways to make each and every photo unique. I have received so many compliments on the photos and my whole family had such great things to say about him after the wedding. He was extremely easy to work with and made the whole process so much fun for me and my husband! He was very receptive to our ideas and his suggestions were completely in line with what I wanted. He went above and beyond to ensure that we got the most out of our wedding photos. He even stayed an extra hour at the wedding to make sure he got a sufficient amount of photos and left us a a very generous wedding gift. I would highly recommend him for any occasion! He did an amazing job and am so thankful he was there to capture my wedding day!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Jonathan! But, I will try and boil it down to a few key things:
-- As a bride, Jonathan made me feel comfortable and less anxious through the entire wedding process. From taking engagement photos to our wedding day Jonathan not only kept us on schedule, but he was so receptive to our ideas and even had plenty of his own, which turned out to amazing photographs.
--The quality of photographs is unbeatable. I had plenty of friends get married and I was underwhelmed by the photos from their wedding, noting that they did not capture the true beauty of their wedding. That is not the case with Jonathan. His photos turned out better than I expected and I cannot stop looking at them. Everyone I shared them with could not stop complimenting our photographer, and that says a lot!

I truly recommend Jonathan to anyone that wants spectacular and amazing photographs from their wedding!

When my husband and I walked through our wedding budget, we knew the we wanted to prioritize the photography at the wedding. Everything else was fleeting, but those pictures would be around for a lifetime. We met with several photographers throughout the Cincinnati area, but none clicked with us personality-wise. I saw a wedding Jonathan did of a friend of mine from high school and was in awe of the photos. After setting up a meeting with him, we knew he was the perfect fit for us. He is very relaxed, not high strung, and very unobtrusive. What really captured me was his motto, "meaning before beauty". I love the moments he captures, not simply because they are beautiful shots (which, they are), but also because there is so much emotion behind them. He was incredibly kind to us during the planning process (even though we waited almost a year to take our engagement photos) and very helpful with trying to determine what the right package was for us. In the end, we got Jonathan and an assistant (Emily, also awesome) for the entire day of our wedding. Literally, Jonathan got up with me and stayed until the guests left the reception. He worked great in the time we allotted him to take photos, and every single one is beautiful. Whether it be posed photos, architecture, candid shots, you name it - every single one is stunning. The hardest part with the photos was finding only 75 to put in our book. Some of the photos look like they should be in an art museum, they are that stunning. In the end, there is no way to praise Jonathan enough. He captured our day in a way that I can never fully thank him for, and he was so incredibly wonderful to work with. I am already figuring out when the next time I can hire him is. Jonathan, if you're reading this, be prepared to take lots of our family photos in the years to come!

We had an extraordinary experience with Jonathan Gibson and his assistant Jess on our wedding day! He was present, but never in the way. His energy was vibrant and seemingly limitless. He made me feel beautiful and the photos showed how I felt. Jonathan has an really great eye for capturing moments. The light, the expressions on my loved ones' faces, the joy were all there. After being referred to Jonathan by more than one friend that recently married, I decided to take a look at his work. I browsed his website and within minutes knew he had the I was interested in. We made our initial consultation to discuss services Jonathan could offer us. I left with an overwhelming confidence that he would give us exactly what we were looking for. He traveled to Liberty Township, to our home, for our engagement pictures. In a promptly manner, we received our photos back. They surpassed any expectation we had - they were BEAUTIFUL.

Wedding day, Jonathan arrived at the hotel before noon. Capturing every moment of prep for the big day. From accessories, bridesmaids, getting dressed to the ceremony and reception. You could tell he had an eye for unique:different photo ops. Yesterday, less than (3) weeks from wedding day, I received our photos back. AMAZING!!!! They are everything I could of wanted and more. Through these photos we are able to relive our big day, without missing a moment. Once again, her surpassed all of our expectations, his talent is very obvious in his work. I will continue using Jonathan in the future - anniversary pics, future children, anything needing a talented photographer!!!

We absolutely loved working with Jonathan! I was a little worried, as my fiancé isn't a fan of taking pictures, but Jonathan immediately put him at ease. I cannot say enough about Jonathan! He was extremely professional, had vision, energy, and a happy spirit. My husband was traveling to NKY from London and I was coming from Chicago. Jonathan was able to work with us to do an engagement shoot 3 days before our wedding! It was important so that we could meet, get comfortable with each other, and get comfortable taking pictures. Our engagement photos turned out BEAUTIFUL! We have not gotten our wedding photos yet, but I have all the confidence in the world that they will be amazing! Jonathan is more than an excellent photographer; he is a kind person with the type of personality a bride a groom need. Jonathan went out of his way to provide superb services to us before, during, and after the wedding and was very professional throughout the entire process. I was one lucky bride to have Jonathan Gibson play such a big part in our special day. Jonathan knew what he was doing at all times and I knew from the engagement photo session we were in good hands. Not only is he amazing and professional at what he does, he made us feel very relaxed and we had a lot of fun taking the pictures. Jonathan is an absolute gem of a photographer. Leading up to the wedding, he was no drama, no fuss. It just took a couple of meetings and I felt 100% comfortable. His style is minimal and purposeful. He just got me. It was exactly what I was hoping for.

The day of the wedding, he was first to arrive – calm, collected and peaceful amidst the chaos. He found beauty in the smallest details. Things I never even would have thought would be shot. He photographed with the most professional, artful eye. He captured important moments in beautiful compositions. For Jonathon, his work is more than catching a moment, it's making that point in time into a piece of art.

After the wedding, his editing was speedy and the web presentation of the photos was gorgeous, easy to use and very shareable with friends, family and social media. In retrospect, I absolutely would not have chosen anyone else. I highly recommend Jonathan Gibson.

Jonathan made everything exceptionally easy, and made myself and my wife very comfortable throughout the whole process. We knew exactly when all events were going to occur months ahead of time, and he held onto those dates, showed up on time, did his job, and exceeded every expectation we had of him (which were extremely high). His photography is stunning, and made something for us that we will treasure for the rest of our lives. You'd be a fool not to hire this man.

You really want Jonathan for your wedding day photographer. His photos of our wedding were EXQUISITE....the clever shots, the details. His collection creates a story of our day, and really imparts the joy we all felt. Moreover, Jonathan and his assistant were absolutely wonderful to work with. His personality is such that he never controlled the event; but he seemed to be everywhere, capturing the moment with his trained eye. I sincerely recommend Jonathan to anyone looking to capture a special moment. This was the best money I spent on my entire wedding!

Jonathan was responsive, kind, patient and highly creative. He seemed at all times to be honored to be part of the special moments surrounding our wedding. That quiet grounding of respect helped me chill out on my wedding day and trust that he would "do his thing" capturing the emotions, food, people, and fun of our wedding. At times I can be anxious and feel ugly (as anyone can!) and having a photographer who was present and positive helped make any insecure moments softer. Also, we had a challenging, dark space for our reception and the photographs turned out great! His style, equipment, and know-how produced great work.

I would also highly recommend doing an engagement session. It REALLY helped me relax and recognize that Jonathan can make anything look fantastic. I wanted to skip the engagement shoot at first, and am glad we went through with it.

If you have a creative, alternative vision for your wedding, work with Jonathan! He'll be able to keep up with a non-traditional wedding schedule, and will love getting creative and arty instead of doing the traditional, boring shots. This guy is an artist.

Jonathan photographed our engagement session, rehearsal dinner, and wedding. His pictures turned out phenomenal! He really has an eye for detail and captures the beauty in simple things. In my opinion, the quality of the colors in his photographs are unmatched. He's an expert at using lighting to make pictures look magical. When I look at my pictures, I feel like I'm looking at pictures from a magazine.

In addition to our wedding, Jonathan's assistant also photographed a "red carpet" for us at our reception. As guests entered the cocktail hour, they could have their picture taken on our red carpet. His assistants printed out the pictures during the reception so guests could pick them up throughout the course of the night. Our guests loved this!

An added plus to working with Jonathan is that he is easy to work with and just a nice guy. He is unobtrusive yet able to photograph all of the special moments. He works so well with all of the other vendors, which really helps make the day go smoothly. For me, pictures are stressful and I find the process a little awkward, but Jonathan takes the awkwardness out of the process. I'm so glad that we chose him to be our photographer. He has such amazing talent and is a great person!

Jonathan was the first and only photographer I met with. I knew the instant I met him and saw his portfolio he was the photographer for us. Honestly I knew even before I met him he was “the one” because I had stalked his website.

The thing I noticed about Jonathan is that he posts every single wedding/engagement on his blog, not just the best or the prettiest/good looking/photogenic people and they ALL are amazing. Jonathan has a way of bringing out the beauty in EVERYONE because clearly he sees the beauty that’s inherent in everyone and captures it.

My engagement photos were so amazing I actually cried when I first saw them. My wedding was tricky because we had a Hindu, Catholic, and fusion reception and he captured so many beautiful pictures it just makes me so emotional! My problem is that I can’t narrow down my 100 favorites for my wedding album!

Jonathan is so laid back, understanding, and accommodating which is what I needed. He really wants to make you happy.

As someone earlier said-if you see your wedding pictures as an investment and art, you MUST hire Jonathan. He’s worth every penny and I’m positive he’s the best photographer in Cincinnati.

Jonathan was amazing to work with! His easy going personality and eye for the best light/backdrop/etc was amazing. Both our engagement and wedding pictures turned out better than I could have dreamed and the process of taking pictures was fun and effortless (and I've been in a lot of weddings and this is not always the case!)! Jonathan came highly recommended by my friends who used him for their wedding photography. Jonathan took our engagement photos and our wedding photos (which consisted of first look photos, before the wedding location shots, wedding ceremony and reception). He was extremely friendly and professional, and paid close attention to all the details that we wanted to be captured on our special day. My fiancee and I had to change our plans for before wedding photos the day of due to weather, but Jonathan was amazing - he suggested alternate locations that worked out perfectly. He never once was flustered by our change of plans, and his eye for detailed and interesting shots is one of a kind. I will definitely be recommending him to friends and family, and will be using him again in the future!

My wife I are big fans of Jonathan! Not only is he an exceptional photographer, a true artist, but also extremely easy to work with. He was genuine and personable, spending time getting to know us and learning what was most important to us when it came to our big day. He gave us confidence that no matter what happened, our photos would be great. And he definitely delivered. On the job he was attentive, professional, and again very easy to work with. There were times we didn't even know he was there - and this was great because with an intense schedule on the big day, having someone like Jonathan who knows what they are doing and doesn't need direction gave us peace of mind and made the day so smooth. My wife and I look at our pictures all the time! Jonathan has a way of "seeing" a great photo when the normal person sees nothing significant at all. Looking back on our amazing wedding day and remembering all of the tireless planning involved, we have some great advice for couples preparing for their big day. Out of all the wedding to-do's big and small, venue, food, flowers, DJ, ... your photographer is one of the biggest decisions and one of the ONLY investments. Why? Well music fades, flowers die - but you will have your photos forever. Trust us, you are NOT just paying someone to take pictures. Take some time to review his website and wedding blog. My husband and I agree that Jonathan and his tool belt of cameras was the best thing that happened to our July 2014 wedding. First (and undeniably most important) the quality and beauty of his photography is superlative. I selected him as our photographer simply because I thought his photo portfolio was the best I have ever seen (don’t take my word for it, fall in love with his work on his website, facebook, or his blog). Our engagement and wedding photos were exquisite, stunning, creative, and meaningful. Where do I begin?! Jonathan was and is a God send. If I could give him a million stars I would and do it a thousand times over. I have worked with photographers in the past from a small lived modeling career and NONE of them come even close to touching what he can produce and his easy going yet very professional personality.

When our engagement session fell through with another photographer, Jonathan made himself available at short notice and went above and beyond to make our dream of having underwater photos a reality. He provided underwater housing and was in the pool with us for a little over an hour till we got the shots. After a quick shower and change, he willing got on the roof for an aerial shot. The photos were so beautiful Cinci wedding magazine took notice. Who can say their engagement photos were executed so perfectly they were published!?

I just got married 5-17-14, he and his assistants were amazing. I wish there was another word to describe him as amazing falls short. When everyone was secretly stressing me out, he was calm and kind checking in on me and making sure I was ok and ready. He stayed with me a.l.l. day, a feat that in of itself I am impressed with, its a long day! I made a pinterest board (of course) of some photo ideas I thought were neat, thinking he would keep them in mind as we shot though the day. He went above and beyond and kept reference, reminding me of ideas I liked and forgot about. The few photos he showed me from his camera as we were shooting were breathtaking. I cannot wait to see the finished product!!

Bottom line, if you want photos you can treasure, that are artistic, capture true moments, and are genuine (engagement, wedding, family, etc) and choose someone other than Jonathan Gibson in the Cinci area, you may need to go get your head checked. I will refer you to everyone for everything always!!

My husband and I could not have been more thrilled with the work Jonathan did in capturing our special day. We were an out of town couple, and he was very communicative through e-mail and phone leading up to it. He stayed with us the whole day - from a 5:30 am wake up call to start getting ready, through two separate ceremonies (one in West Chester and one downtown) until a midnight end to a reception. His pictures were wonderful - incredibly beautiful and captured some amazing, natural moments. It is am amazing value for the quality and amount of pictures you get!

Ladies, you MUST use Jonathan if you truly see your wedding photos as an art investment. He is not only a consummate professional, but he is a published artist.

Yes, there are some wedding photographers in Cincinnati who might cost less; and some who might even cost a little more, but Jonathan's pure eye for creating works of art is unrivaled. Not only is he a photography professor at Xavier University here in Cincinnati, but he has received numerous industry accolades for his work in both the wedding industry, and the professional photography industry (the one that I regard as the more worthy judge of art and technique). Both have recognized and awarded him for his absolutely stunning work.

When looking at other photographer options, it would completely weird me out when one would promise that I would have my pictures back to me in 2 weeks. What? How does it only take you 2 weeks to edit what I just paid big money for and I want to be incredibly special? This is not a good indicator of quality, it is simply an indication that they are a bread and butter wedding photographer. Fine if you're interested in that, but if you are looking for someone with a more refined approach, Jonathan is for you.

Jonathan Gibson did a fantastic job on our wedding. The quality of our photos are amazing. He really listened to our preferences and incorporated them into the portfolio. We have great close-ups, great candids, great composition, and lots of photos to tell the story from beginning to the very end of the night. It's hard to pick which ones we would love to frame. He really has a great eye for the details while capturing the big picture. There are also lots of creative shots and cool compositions to add some variety to our shots. Jonathan was great with our family and friends, getting them in line for some great shots, while not being obtrusive at all. We also received the photos in a timely fashion, and all were well edited with no need for us to alter any of them. His artistic eye has really made out photos unique and beautiful.

We found Jonathan through a friend, and after we met with him for an initial consultation, we stopped our search for a wedding photographer. He was the first and last photographer that we met with. Even though we were 2 years out from the wedding when we signed our contract with Jonathan he never once made us feel any less important than any of our other clients. We were planning our wedding from out of state, and Jonathan was always willing to work within our schedule for meetings and the engagement shoot.

His photos are stunning. I am a graphic designer and part of my college education was a year and a half of photography courses, so finding a photographer that passed my scrutiny while staying in my budget was a challenge. Jonathan passed with flying colors. His photos have the best use of light that I've seen in the Cincinnati area, which is great when your wedding starts in the daylight and goes into the evening, or is both indoors and outdoors.

Jonathan was an amazing photographer and fantastic to work with from beginning to end. We loved his reasonable prices and the ability to add on additional services such as a photobooth. Before the wedding we sat down with him to discuss all of the shots that were really important to us such as a picture with my grandmother and a picture of some of the small details of the wedding. At that meeting we went through each aspect of the day and made a schedule to make sure that we could get every shot in that we wanted. On the day of the wedding Jonathan arrived very early to the hotel and was with the bridal party every step of the way. He was amazing throughout the day, he set up our first look and made sure that we were on schedule to arrive at the church on time. At the ceremony he captured absolutely BEAUTIFUL shots even though he had a lot of rules to work around. At the reception, he was everywhere! he and his assistants were constantly present at both the dance floor and the bar area, they were always taking pictures but never intrusive. It was amazing. We also had a photobooth which he set up and it was one of the highlights of the reception! The pictures we received from the wedding day were beyond what we could have ever imagined. They are absolutely perfect and jonathan really captured the love, the fun and the excitement of the entire day from beginning to end.

Jonathan was the perfect choice for our wedding photographer! First, his photos are beautiful. Our engagement and wedding photos were gorgeous and meaningful, and he did a wonderful job catching expressions and key moments. The way he captures people in his photographs, they look natural and at ease, which was important for us given that we are camera shy. I also love his compositions and the vivid coloring in his photos. Our ceremony was at St. Xavier and the reception was at the Bell Centre, both of which can be challenging to shoot. But the lighting in the photos is amazing, and he captured the beauty of both places. Jonathan stayed till the very end of our reception (which ran over time) and even the partying shots are beautifully done.

Second, Jonathan is very easy to work with -- responsive, organized, but laid back and fun. My husband, who is pretty reserved, was very comfortable around him. Also, I was managing a nervous mom and tons of family, so I did not want someone adding to the stress on the wedding day. Jonathan got along with everyone and we had many comments from guests impressed by how nice and hardworking he was. Jonathan was great about all the organizational details (meetings, calls, turnaround). His wife, Monica, helps with the business, and she is very friendly as well.

In short, I highly recommend Jonathan Gibson Photography! The photos are amazing, Jonathan is very talented, and the price is good considering what comes with it.

Johnathan was a dream to work with - He came prepared with beautiful ideas to shoot and also incorporated the few 'must have' shots I'd sent ahead of our wedding day. My husband and I live in Denver but got married in Cincninnati - working with Johnathan long distance was easier than I expected. He was super responsive via email and available by phone if we needed him. His fees were listed up front (which I LOVED - other photographers wouldn't even quote me before speaking on the phone - hard to do with the time difference!) and are more than a great value. Jonathan Gibson went above and beyond for our wedding. From our initial meeting we could tell Jonathan was going to be a perfect fit for our style. He is laid back, professional, willing to consider your ideas, flexible, and last but not least an amazing photographer. He has the ability to capture moments that go by so fast they could easily be forgotten. He captured every shot we wanted and so many more we never would have imagined were possible. On our wedding day he was there from morning till the last song the band played - he did this all for his set price which also included all the shots on a disc which we had full rights to. If a photographer wants you to pay for them per hour and then pay to receive your prints I would stay clear they are only in it to make as much money as possible. I've known Jonathan for 4+ years now, and when I asked him to do the photos I was delighted that he was available. Quality of photos, professionalism, timing, and everything included is well worth every penny paid. We had both a photobooth and a full day of shooting (12hrs - same cost as 4 or 5 hours!!) with both Jonathan and his assistant Jessie. They were absolutely the best photographers. Guests commented on how they knew the photographers were there taking photos, but they were not at all intrusive. I love his artistic, candid style!! Thanks Jonathan and Jessie!!!!

Our wedding pictures are better than I ever could have hoped for thanks to Jonathan. He made my husband and I feel comfortable and relaxed throughout the entire day and captured all of our special moments naturally. The photos are creative, unique, and truly capture our loving and happy memories of the day. He was wonderful to work with and was a big help in planning out our timeline for the day. He also was very prompt in all of his communications and delivered our images very quickly. I cannot recommend his services enough and will definitely look to him again for the next time we need professional photos taken.

Jonathan took amazing fall engagement photos for my fiance and I last year. He created beautiful images and was very reasonably priced!! We also got a CD of all of our images, which is a great keepsake!

Jonathan was amazing to work with from start to finish. He was easy to communicate with via e-mail and in person, and he listened to what we wanted to see in our wedding photos while also providing helpful suggestions based on his experience. The photography package he offered was a great value and I really appreciated that he didn't limit the number of hours he spent with us. On our wedding day, he and his assistants started early in the morning and kept going until late at night when the dancing stopped. After the wedding, he had the photos ready for us before we got back from our honeymoon. The photos are absolutely beautiful and he captured so many touching, funny, and unique moments. We were so thrilled with how everything turned out that my family asked him to to take pictures at an informal family photo session.

Jonathon is faboulus to work with! I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a photographer. He kept us on schedule all day. He doesn't have you pose or stop what is happening the get the shot he wants. You can see his creative eye in the details of your pictures. Everyone raved about how amazing our pictures are!
