Durrell was amazing and he did a great job about keeping the party going all night long. He even kept his word to making everyone dance to the cha cha slide since that is my favorite song haha. Everyone was on the floor dancing all night long. Highly recommend them for your event!!! And their prices were very reasonable!! -

They were beyond fabulous! I couldn’t have chosen a better DJ service! They were engaging, interacted with everyone, and kept the party going! I come from a family of DJs and even they were impressed! I want to hire them for ALL of my DJ needs! I wish I had added them to do my ceremony music. Lesson learned! Simply AMAZING!!! I can’t stress that enough! -

Parker, a Boise Rep, was the DJ for my wedding. He was responsive, helpful, and most of all fun! He was great to meet with and had good ideas to assist with the ceremony and reception planning. He did great at the wedding running the show as planned but also helped roll with the punches as things came up. -

Mark is an long time family friend and helped make mynwedding day amazing! Scott Duffy was our DJ who kept the party going and went above and beyond anything we could've asked for. Amazing company and I would highly reccommend them to anyone. Thanks Mark and Scott!! -

Carlos from Johnny B's was our DJ and he was absolutely great. He was extremely professional and friendly. A couple days before the wedding he spent 30 minutes reviewing every last detail of our timeline to make sure he understood everything and had everyone's name pronunciations correct. He did a great job the night of and was super flexible with our millions of song requests. Would definitely recommend Johnny B's to others. -

Kayla Sent on 10/14/2018The BEST company for all DJ needs! They went far beyond my expectations and made my night unforgettable! I’m very particular about what I want and they literally nailed everything I envisioned. I used them for both the ceremony and reception. I provided planning forms such as a SUPER detailed timeline as well as a custom playlist and they followed it to a T! One of my favorite things from that day was the fact that I requested for my DJ to hype up the crowd before the reception entrance and i could just remember how loud the cheering was before we came in. It was a start to a beautiful and wild party ;) If I could relive this day, I would! -

My bridal party reception entrance was completely missed, and he didn't help cut the songs for the dances, so each of the parent dances were nearly 4 minutes long which is alot. He didn't use any traditional tricks to get the guests on the dance floor, and my maid of honor ended up leading karaoke which led to a lip sync battle, which I never ever asked for. The guy was nice enough, but I'd say the entertainment for my reception was sub-par at best. -

My husband & I hired Mark from Jonny B's (at least we thought we did, see review below).
It was a wonderful experience with Mark from the start. He was pleasant, friendly & quick to respond. Everything was great, up until the big day. Our DJ, ended up being a guy named Tev was nothing short of a dumpster fire, not qualified to DJ a high school dance.
Tev showed up to our wedding, didn't introduce himself, just set up equipment. Our officiant asked for a Lapel, he couldn't get it to work and told her "this is the kind of wedding that doesn't need a microphone." We ended up saying our vows with a hand held in our faces. Not as romantic as we had hoped for, but we could look past it.
We had purchased The Magic Mirror w/ our package. Tev started setting up for the reception, our mirror was no where to be found. A family member asked he replied he "didn't know anything about it & was subcontracted through the company" & continued to play music.
After our photos, we went to do our grand entrance, Tev didn't follow our list of requested songs so he didn't know what song to play. Because of this, we waited about 5 mins for a guest to go and tell him.
My husband & I then asked Tev about the mirror, interrupting our reception & taking time away time from our guests. Tev told my husband that "he was yelling at the wrong guy." I called Mark who said someone else was bringing it & that person had gotten a flat tire on the way w/ no ETA on when they would arrive.
At this point, we gave up on the mirror & asked Tev, (who became extremely rude to us, practically ignoring us anytime we tried to speak with him- he had his headphones laying over his ear and made us feel like we were a nuisance to him) to announce that dinner was ready. When he ignored my husband's request to do this, my husband & mother in law yelled over the music to make the announcement themselves.
Tev refused to make any announcement until a song was done playing (he wouldn't turn down the music to speak over it). I had to remind him to do the first dance, the garter toss, the cake cutting, toast, etc. I hired a DJ so I wouldn't have to make these announcements myself. I could have brought my Alexa to play music & saved money.
In addition to the above, during any important song, Tev would start to play the song prior to us being on the dance floor. My husband and I missed about 10-15 secs of our first dance as a result. During the father/daughter song, Tev replayed the first dance song my husband and I had just danced to minutes before. I stopped the dance with my dad leaving him in the middle of the dance floor to walk over to Tev and let him know he was playing the wrong song. He told me I was wrong. I asked him to pull up my packet with our requested songs and he told me "my bad. I'll play the correct song."
It was not only extremely embarrassing for me to leave the dance with my dad in front of all of our guests watching and taking photos/videos but rude to myself and my dad to have to interrupt OUR moment to correct HIS mistake, once again. Our wedding felt awkward with Tev from this point forward, and our guests could also sense the tension with him too.
I did receive an email from Mark apologizing for the mirror & microphone (along with a partial refund). I replied to him explaining our issues with our service was more than just the mirror & mircrophone. I wasn't going to write a negative review but after no response in regards to the remaining issues above after a month, I decided to spare others the same troubles I went through. So save yourselves the time and money and take your business elsewhere. -

We had specific things we requested in his contact form to not be done during our reception and he still did them. Played songs that were on our do not play list. He forgot to give mics to our officiant so it was hard for our guests to hear during the ceremony. His equipment kept glitching during our reception. It was a terrible experience. He was good about getting back to me in email, but it seems like he didn’t look at my emails because of how things went on our wedding day. -

I was very disappointed with our DJ, Vennie. I was very excited to book with Johnny B's because of all of the good reviews, but everything that could have gone wrong went wrong. During the ceremony, the music kept cutting out as we were walking down the aisle, the microphone didn't work during the ceremony, the DJ played the wrong songs for the grand entrance, not to mention completely forgot to announce one of the bridesmaids and groomsmen. During our first dance, our song was interrupted by another song. He didn't follow any of the things I asked him to do, and I am very disappointed. I would not recommend this company to anyone because of the poor service we received.
