John is the best wedding photographer I could have dreamed of! When it came to planning a wedding by myself, I felt at times overwhelmed with the thought of making sure things ran smoothly. Not only did John do an amazing job at actually taking pictures of our wedding, but he helped me to coordinate months out, up until the big day. John created a timeline for my wedding, got contact info for all my other vendors, kept my hair and makeup artists on top of the timeline to ensure I was ready on time, and talked us through the process on multiple Zoom calls prior to the actual day. With his knowledge and expertise, my husband and I had the best wedding day we could have imagined, plus the beautiful pictures to prove it! I don’t think any other photographer would ever have finished editing and sending almost 1.5K pictures (all sent in both in color and black and white) in just two weeks from our wedding, but John truly defies expectation. He made us feel so comfortable, listened to all of our concerns, and captured our day flawlessly from start to finish. It was truly such a pleasure getting to know him, and it feels like he was such a vital part of our wedding day! -

We couldn’t have asked for a better photographer for our wedding! From our first contact, John was organized, responsive, and full of ideas on how to make our wedding amazing. On the actual day, John was a very grounding presence, and he ensured we got each and every shot we wanted-including many surprise candids! In the middle of moving, job changes, and other wedding planning John was able to keep us on track, listened to our concerns and wants, and reassured us every step of the way. John was even able to make several recommendations when we were concerned with vendors-all of which he is more than happy to coordinate with to make the day go smoothly. Our over 1.4K photos that we received in 2 weeks are absolutely stunning and truly tell the story of our day perfectly. Highly, highly recommend to any couple looking for someone who will go above and beyond to make your memories last forever! -

John was amazing to work with. He met with us multiple times to make sure we got all of the shots we wanted, helped us plan our timeline for our day, and provided a list of other awesome vendors for us to use. John really works hard leading up to, and day of the wedding to make sure his clients are happy. Many of our guests commented on how they were impressed by how many pictures he got of everyone; he was seemingly everywhere without ever feeling intrusive or in the way. John also keeps his pricing extremely fair and affordable compared to other photographers. It is clear he has been shooting weddings for a long time, as he makes the process easy for his clients. -

John was absolutely amazing!!! He is really nice, easy going and a pleasure to work with. He helped us with our wedding timeline and we were able to check in with him multiple times before the wedding day to make sure everything would run smoothly. He showed up early the day of the wedding. It is clear to me he is a master in his field of work. I was thrilled with how our pictures turned out and he provided us with over 1200 pictures (and an additional 1200 in black and white). He captured every important moment in the wedding. His pricing was much more reasonable than others in the area yet the quality his work superior in my opinion. 10/10 would recommend John to anyone getting married. P.S. I reduced the resolution of the photos attached to fit here, the originals are crystal clear! -

Absolutely Incredible
When we first booked John Munno Photography for our wedding I never thought I would as grateful as I am today for his services! We booked with the idea that we were having a normal wedding with a date over a year in advance, however, with the entire wedding planned and booked my Fiancé and I decided it was more our speed to surprise our guests and get married at our engagement party instead… that was 22 days away! I reached out to John with little to no hope that he would be available for our new wedding day and I would be left without a photographer. I was shocked when John said he was able to move around his schedule and be there for us on the best day of our lives! Just the thought of him making time for us without a problem was a blessing, not to mention the constant contact and planning dates just to check in and make sure the stress on my end was as little as possible. When our wedding day came up much faster than originally planned we all decided the best way to go about it was to throw away everything we knew about a standard timeline and just “go with the flow”. For a photographer I can only imagine the stress that comes with just “winging” it on a wedding day. But John was more than willing to hop on board and roll with the punches. Our day was everything my husband and I hoped for and more. I cannot speak highly enough of the passion John has towards his work, the commitment he has to keeping his word for his clients, the professionalism he holds the entire event and days leading up and the help that he constantly went out of his way to offer during my whole accelerated planning process. John was amazing in every way. And the most important part of all of this is how absolutely incredible our pictures came out, we got over a thousand pictures from our day and every single one carries so much love and amazing memories with it. He slowed down the rush of the day and captured our private vows in the most beautiful way. The pictures of that moment are truly my favorite, and all the photos to follow- from the wedding “announcement” to the vows, the ceremony, family portraits and reception snap shots- we are so grateful for our choice in photographer. I promise you, booking with John Munno will be the best decision you make for your special day! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!! I couldn’t be happier!!

One of the biggest vendors to decide on for your wedding is the photographer, and it is so crucial to have a photographer that knows the importance of that decision. With that being said, we are so fortunate to have found a photographer that went above and beyond with his role! Right from the beginning, John helped us create a perfect wedding day timeline to bring our vision to light. He offered us guidance as we navigated the wedding industry. On the actual day of the wedding, he was able to be flexible with the rain and delays. Many of our guests commented on how incredibly efficient and professional he was while capturing the day. Best photographer ever!!!
John did an absolutely fantastic job photographing our wedding. He captured some truly beautiful moments from one of the most important day of our lives and we couldn’t be more happy with how our photos came out. Besides the actual photos, John was a huuuge help through the wedding planning process. He helped us put together a timeline and set realistic expectations. On the day of the wedding, we had an issue that delayed the ceremony a whole hour and John was super accommodating to make sure we still got all the shots we wanted, and we got back on track in no time! John hit it out of the park for our wedding! Our pictures were amazing despite dealing with all the elements - sun, heat, torrential rain and thunder. My guests even commented about how he looks like he loves what he does and he never stopped moving all night! Exceeded Expectations
John is a dedicated, hard-working, passionate wedding photographer who will deliver a beautiful album of both well-posed and candid photos that capture all the moments you'll hope to rememeber. From the time we first booked with him, John was eager to help us with the planning process. We had three Zoom meetings over the course of the year leading up to wedding day and our photography timeline took shape more and more each time. Looking back, it was so helpful that John took the time to start meeting so far in advance because as the big day drew closer our time became so much more limited. On the day of, John showed up early to make sure there was plenty of time to capture all of the little moments while getting ready. He had our timeline in hand and helped us keep to schedule and acheive every grouping we hoped for without us ever feeling rushed. He also checked in frequently during the day to see if there were any other photos we wanted that were not built into the timeline. We got our album back in less than 2 weeks after our wedding and were thrilled with the photos. He did a great job with the lighting and angles and seemed to be everywhere at once. He was a pleasure to work with and we have already recommended him to our friends and family. -

We are extremely happy with our decision to hire John Munno as our wedding photographer. During our initial consultation, John took the time to explain all of the details and options available to us. We recently had our engagement session with John, which was included as part of our wedding package, and could not be happier with the results. John suggested a beautiful setting for our photos and spent over 2 hours for our session. My fiancé and I have no prior experience with professional photo sessions, but John made us feel very comfortable and at ease. Within 2 weeks, we received over 300 beautiful digital photos from our session. We are so pleased with the results and cannot wait to see his work on our wedding day next summer! -

John has been extremely hands on and helpful during our wedding planning process. From the beginning of our wedding planning, it was evident that we were in good hands. John set up meetings to discuss our must haves, timelines, and all of the small details that can be overwhelming for a couple! He helped brainstorm and problem solve throughout the process. He truly cares about your wedding day and wants to make it as smooth as possible for you.
He was also very punctual, professional, and polite! He showed up on time, made all in the wedding party feel comfortable, and was able to capture the personalities of our guests in our photographs. John is able to find the best lighting that will bring out the true beauty in your portraits! He follows through with all of your "must have" shot lists and goes above and beyond what you want. On the night of the wedding, you will certainly find him on the dance floor capturing the candids! Our guests even told us "he did not miss a moment".
After the wedding, he followed up within a reasonable time with previews of our pictures - which were a great way to celebrate post wedding. He returned our photographs to us in a timely manner and the pictures are easy to download! Without a doubt, we strongly recommend John for your wedding - you will be relieved he is your photographer! -

I can’t even begin to explain how great of a photographer John is. If you are looking into booking him, don’t hesitate, just do it. You will be blown away!!! This is going to be a very long review, but I want to do John justice because we couldn’t be happier with everything he gave us. Our wedding was so amazing because we had John as our photographer (and essentially wedding planner).
Pictures:
John has a fantastic eye for beautiful photos, and knows how to instruct you to get great pictures. Both my husband and I do not really know how to pose, but John was great at helping us do poses that we would have never thought of that came our beautifully. He is a pro at really capturing the moments and emotions of the day. My husband even made a few comments when looking through the pictures that he looked the happiest he had ever looked in his life. Only a couple days after the wedding, we were already getting sneak peeks of the various parts of the wedding, and it made us even more excited to see the full gallery! John provided a full color gallery, and also a black and white gallery of every picture in the color gallery, which was amazing. He finished both galleries ONLY 2 WEEKS after the wedding, which was absolutely crazy, especially because he provided us with over 2,400 pictures in a single gallery. John does not limit the amount of pictures he takes or provides to you, and I am so thankful for that. I can’t believe that there are so many pictures, and that they are all so beautiful. The candid shots he took were also fantastic, he captured the joy and laughter of everyone so well. Some of my favorite pictures are the ones I didn’t even know he was taking! Looking at the pictures, it is amazing we only had one photographer. It looked like we had 3 or more! John really puts his heart and soul into every wedding he photographs, and it shows.
Booking:
John was the photographer at my cousin’s wedding, and after seeing her pictures, I knew I had to book him for my own wedding. Since before booking him, he was very clear about all of his packages and made us feel very comfortable with our choice. We absolutely loved being able to get our engagement photos done with him as part of the package because it gave us an opportunity to work together and meet each other in person before the wedding day. His prices are extremely reasonable and he puts so much time and effort into making sure your wedding day goes smoothly.
Wedding Planning:
We had a backyard wedding, which I knew was going to require a lot of planning, but I didn’t realize how much until I was already into it. I am so happy we decided to go this direction, but John saved us. He met with us multiple times and made sure that we were not forgetting anything (someone to take the seats from the ceremony to the reception, etc.) and made sure that we were booking things at the right times to ensure we got the best vendors. Whenever I didn’t know where to look for a vendor, he provided a list of many different vendors he had worked with and recommended based on what we were looking for. All of these vendors were also reasonably priced, and we loved every single one he recommended. We took his recommendations for our videographer, hair and makeup artist, and DJ, and couldn’t have been happier with all of them. He was our photographer and wedding coordinator, and helped us out immensely leading up to the wedding and the day of. Our wedding was unique in that we had 2 different ceremonies: American and Moroccan, and he helped us coordinate both, as well as the timelines of both ceremonies to make sure everything flowed smoothly. Throughout the whole process, he was also extremely flexible and gave us times to make decisions while also making sure we were keeping on track without us feeling rushed.
Professionalism:
John is extremely professional, while also being an awesome guy in general. He always managed to make me smile even when things went wrong during the wedding. He was able to get things back on track and keep us feeling good throughout the whole day. He worked extremely well with all of our other vendors – the DJ, the videographer, and the hair and makeup artist. He had multiple individual meetings with these vendors to ensure that they would work seamlessly together on the wedding day and to make sure the timelines were matching up. He took away all this work from us, which was so helpful with so much on our plates. Throughout the wedding, he and the videographer made sure they were respectful of each other and that both were able to get everything they needed and they weren’t getting in each other’s ways. He made sure that everyone felt comfortable in front of the cameras. I also provided him a list of hundreds of pictures I wanted to make sure he got, and he brought it to the wedding and made sure he got them. He was truly fantastic and really made sure we were getting what we wanted. He coordinated our entire wedding day, start to finish, and was flexible when we had to rearrange the picture sequence because of someone missing or wanted to try a different pose, while still making sure we stayed on track with the timing.
Overall, my husband and I could not be happier with having chosen John as our wedding photographer. We both truly feel that John made the day stress free, relaxing, and fun, and we have amazing pictures and memories of the day because of him.

When we started planning our wedding, I was not as convinced as my wife about the importance of wedding photography and videography… until I saw our engagement pictures by John. It soon became clear that we made one of the best decisions in our life by hiring a professional photographer. Here are a few reasons why:
1- John is fun. John did both our engagement and wedding photos by the way. Besides being a great photographer, John is a very fun guy and has an interesting personality. He always knew exactly how to make us feel comfortable and spontaneous when taking photos (just like we were hanging with a friend).
2- John is a great planner. To save money, we did not hire a wedding planner. But John stepped up. With his experience and connections, he provided great advice when it comes to hiring vendors and planning the big day.
3- John is a great listener. From engagement to the wedding day, John planned regular Zoom meetings, where he walked us through every detail of the wedding. Our wedding was not easy to plan since it had two ceremonies and a melting pot of Moroccan and American traditions. However, John was a great listener and helped us with his experience and artistic views to find the perfect succession of the events and plan the sequence of shots.
4- John is a high-tech photographer. Since we chose to have a backyard wedding, we were a little worried about the background, but John made it so easy. John cares a lot about technical details such as lighting. He is the kind of photographers that would visit the venue a few months before the wedding to check lighting conditions, create a detailed map on his computer showing where the sunlight will come from, then give suggestions about the appropriate site for the ceremony. His devotion to his job is just inspiring!
5- John is omnipresent. On our wedding day, John was everywhere. Later, when I saw the photos, I was wondering if he had some teleportation superpower, since the same scenes were taken from different angles with great attention to details and emotions, although he was working alone.
6- John is an artist and storyteller. John is very good at taking candid moments, transmitting moments of joy, moments of emotions, and telling a story based on photos. We have received many compliments about the photos and some family members even got emotional after seeing them.
7- John is attentive to details. He captured everything that has significance to our marriage. The details photos were stunning and had a breathtaking quality. They perfectly highlighted the mixture of Moroccan and American traditions (Henna, Amaryah, Moroccan traditional clothes, forehead kiss, etc.). Just what we wanted!
8- John is generous. John put a big effort to edit our photos after the wedding and stayed in touch sending us sneak peeks. I was so surprised when I realized that he took and edited more than 2000 photos during the wedding day. He also suggested making a photo album and a few prints for us.
John made of our wedding a magic memory. We will treasure his photos forever.
I highly recommend John. Honestly, I am thinking to fly him overseas to get him to photograph our next wedding in Morocco lol

John is a true professional and you can tell he takes great pride and joy in his work. He was there every step of the way from planning and leading up to the wedding as well as on the day of to make sure everything ran smoothly and he captured the moments that were important to us. He met with us a few times to set and adjust the timeline for the day as well as get to know us and answer any questions we had. On the day of he arrived early to scout the location and find some alternatives if the weather continued to be uncooperative, and worked non-stop to make sure he captured it all. Afterwards, John made sure to check in and make sure everything went well, and sent sneak peak pictures within days of the wedding. He also managed to send the full photo collection in color and black and white in under 10 days from our wedding!! Thank you for everything John! -

Best Decision We Made
I cannot say enough positive things about John Munno. He was recommended to us by our reception venue and booking his as our photographer was the best wedding planning decision we made. John was always prompt to respond to questions, he set up several planning meetings to make sure he would capture all of the moments we hoped for, and he helped us find several other top notch vendors, serving almost as a wedding planner and photographer. Our wedding day was particularly long, and John didn't bat an eye about covering the whole day from getting ready to our private last dance. I even had guests complimenting me during the reception and in the days that followed saying that they were so impressed by John and how he seemed to be everywhere all the time to capture memories, but he was not obtrusive or distracting. Once we got our gallery back in exactly 2 weeks as promised, I was floored. The images were so stunning, and we received about 1,500 photos! And the gallery was duplicated in black and white so my husband and I have our choice of color or B&W. I would hire John 100x over. If you are looking for a top tier, professional photographer who takes his time to get to know his couples and understand their vision, all while remaining reasonably priced, look no farther. Hire John Munno. You will be so glad you did, I know I am. Thank you John for capturing so many special moments on our big day! We will cherish these photos for years to come. -

The wedding tip I heard most often was 'enjoy every minute of the day, it goes by so fast'.... they were not kidding! Thankfully, we hired John to capture our wedding day, so now we have beautiful photos to look back on! John was a huge hit at our wedding, our guests were so impressed with his professionalism and enthusiasm! We got our photos back in record time, and were so excited to share them with our family and friends.
My husband and I are not big photo takers --- so we were a little nervous about doing the engagement shoot and wedding photos. But John walked us through every step of the way. We had multiple zoom calls and email exchanges throughout the wedding process. He made us feel comfortable in front of the camera!
John had a great timeline for getting ready. It helped ease my wedding day jitters by having a timeline to refer to, and before we knew it, it was time to walk down the aisle!

I don't know how to find the words to describe how wonderful of an experience my wedding was with John. From the moment I booked with him, I knew I made the right decision. He is professional, supportive, caring and compassionate. His open communication throughout the entire process put my mind at ease heading into the big day.
On the wedding day, I was feeling a lot of nerves and was very unsettled. From the moment John arrived at our hotel, he was calming and supportive. He kept reminding me it was my day and continually asked if I was ok. And what a hard worker he is! He never stopped moving around the room trying to find the best picture opportunities while also checking in to make sure I was ok and didn't have any pictures I wanted at that time.
I am so fortunate and happy that I found John to photograph our wedding. I couldn't be happier with every aspect of his work. If you are debating who to hire for your big day, look no further! -

John is an incredible photographer, is enthusiastic, encouraging, organized, and a true professional! John really cares about his clients and works extremely hard to capture your event! We hired John to do our wedding photography and right from the start, he made us feel special and clearly knew exactly what he was doing. He sets up several meetings throughout the wedding process to ensure we are on the same page with timelines, locations, photo lists. He also tries to get to know you as a couple to make you feel comfortable on the day of. John went above and beyond by even visiting our venue which was about an hour away from him prior to the wedding day to ensure he knew the exact layout of everything so he could set up quickly and smooth. We did getting ready photos with John the day of and he came about 15 minutes earlier than the start time of 8am and got set up and ready right away. He makes you feel like a celebrity with highly encouraging words as he takes photos, which is awesome as everyday people usually are not used to having a camera follow them everywhere. He took photos of every single thing that I wanted and they came out absolutely gorgeous. He worked the entire day starting with taking photos from 8am all the way to 4:30pm and only took one tiny break to eat. He captured every single moment of the day and we received over 1200 photos in color with the same photos in black and white and each one of them was amazing! John also sent us many sneak peaks of our special day which was great since we were eager to see them. The turnaround time was 2 weeks for completely finished photos including professional editing which is incredibly fast! John was communicative, extremely professional, funny, and kind. Not to mention, his prices are very competitive and is honestly a steal for what you get. We are SO happy we chose John to be our photographer and we highly recommend him! -

Surpassed All Expectations!
If you are in need of a photographer then book this man! John was absolutely amazing. After we found our venue and selected a date we started searching for vendors. John was the first one we booked! His timeliness, energy, and professionalism are unparalleled. He also helped us by pointing us in the correct direction for other vendors. We found our amazing officiant and fantastic DJ thanks to his suggestions. Our whole wedding day went by without a hitch and John was a huge part of why. He helps plan a run down of the day and keeps everyone on schedule, making sure to capture all the photos on your list. We first met John when he was the photographer for a friend’s wedding in December 2019. I couldn’t believe how responsive he was, not only to the couple, but to all the guests. He was approachable, patient, and said yes to every photo requested. At the same time, he was never in the way when we were taking a picture or just wanted a good view. I knew then he’d be on the short list for our daughter’s and son-in-law’s wedding.
Fast forward to now: David and Allie got married a couple of weeks ago and we are even more impressed. He perfectly captured every nuance, both the posed and planned photos, and the spontaneity of the day. John is an excellent photographer; we are in love with all our photos! The natural and intimate style of his pictures is so accurate in conveying the emotions of the day - looking through our photo gallery really felt like we were reliving the day.
But John is also so much more than just a guy who's good with a camera - he is a funny, kind, caring, easygoing, organized, thoughtful, dedicated, and genuine person. He spent hours with us on Zoom to make sure we scheduled in every shot we wanted, and rolled with the punches when things went off-plan.
John captured every important moment - even the "unscripted" ones - and took the time to get a lot of incredible pictures of our guests as well.
He had a quick turnaround during peak wedding season and we enjoyed receiving sneak peak single images while we waited.

Our wedding day wouldn’t have been the same without John! I am so grateful to have had our special day captured by someone with such passion, keen eye for detail, patience, and expertise. When my husband Tom and I first met with John, we knew without a doubt he’d be a perfect fit for us; now, a year and a half later, we couldn’t be happier with our decision.
Over the last year, John has helped us with coordinating/arranging our engagement shoot (which came out gorgeous), as well as providing us recommendations for our DJ and my makeup artist. Being complete wedding novices, Tom and I could not have asked for a better team of experts around us for our wedding day!
Speaking of the wedding day, John was an instrumental force in both the planning stages leading up to the wedding (in terms of helping us map out a vision for our wedding day that felt more natural to Tom and I, who are not really great with some of the “staged” poses, haha) and on the day itself. Is it possible to miss your wedding photographer? Yes, yes it is. We absolutely loved John Munno as both a wonderful human being, and as a top notch wedding photographer!
He was easily the best part of our wedding planning. John has such a calm and steady presence- something all couples need both leading up to, and on their wedding day. We first met John about a year before our wedding at our engagement photo shoot. Immediately, we knew he was going to be excellent to work with. We instantly saw his attention to detail, and his eye for aesthetics. He even went to the second floor of a building to get a perfect shot of us on a bridge! His passion for taking the most beautiful shots while telling a story exceeded our expectations. He truly cared for us as a couple, and made it his number one priority to make sure we were happy. The process of planning and executing a wedding is no small feat, and it simply would not have gone as smoothly as it did without John! He got every single shot we asked for, and helped us plan the day. Extremely flexible, John was able to pivot when we needed to make changes to our schedule. He was communicative, punctual, and kept us on time for everything! When we got our photos back, we couldn't believe it! They are stunning! How did he do it? He was almost invisible at the church and reception. He is that photographer- you know, the unobtrusive one who gets the job done. John has that perfect blend of using his own artistry while simultaneously giving his clients what they want, and more! My husband and I went with his top package. We have to say, the value is outstanding! He sent us sneak peeks of photos the very next day, and we received all of our photos two weeks later! His system for sharing photos is excellent, and we were easily able to share them with our friends and family. My fiance and I hired John to be the photographer for our wedding and I can only say great things about him. In our package we received all the photos he took as well as all of them in color and black and white. It was great that we were able to get all of them, rather than just a subset of everything he took.
John met with us multiple times prior to the day of the wedding and had a planning worksheet for all the different photos we wanted and the combination of people. He was organized and kept everything in order throughout the day.
On the actual day of, John did a great job of capturing moments as well as ensuring all the requests we had we done. He was funny, lightened the mood, and overall a real benefit to the day! He made both of us laugh and really engaged with the wedding party.

Would give more stars if I could because John Munno killed it. We had to postpone our wedding from April to September of this year and John made the transition seamless. As far as the content and quality of his work, it was absolutely terrific. We used John for our engagement session and our wedding and we really couldn't be any happier that we chose him to be our photographer! Captured Amazing Photos for Engagement Session
If my husband and I were able to give John Munno a rating higher than 5 stars, we most certainly would! We would give him 10 stars and then some. From the moment we met John, we knew he was the right photographer for us. He was very informative, kind, and responsive from the start. Over the past year of working with John, we have had nothing but positive experiences. Our wedding was not even 2 weeks ago and we already received over 2,000 pictures! John Munno completely exceeded our expectations for a wedding photographer in every single way. From our first conversation with John we knew we needed him to be our photographer. He was warm, friendly, easy to talk to and extremely helpful before we even put down our deposit. Our engagement shoot was the first time we met him and we were instantly impressed with his talent and diligence. He made us feel comfortable right away and had a great eye for where the best picture spots would be. He captured all kinds of amazing lighting and the pictures were gorgeous. Our engagement shoot location was almost two hours away from him and he still stayed an extra hour with us at no extra cost just to fit in some extra sunset photos at no extra cost. After our engagement shoot we had about a year until our wedding and we kept in touch with John often. Since we got married during the pandemic, we had lots of logistical questions about how to plan our wedding and what to expect for a covid wedding. John was always available to answer these questions and share his knowledge based on his experiences with other weddings and the wedding industry. We emailed and talked on the phone often and he always responded within the day if not within the hour of when I reached out to him. We did not hire a wedding planner which I was nervous about at first, but John really ended up being not only our photographer, but also our wedding planner. And that was at no extra cost on top of an already extremely affordable price that we paid to work with John! His pricing is an absolute steal for the amount of extra work and attention that he puts into each of his couples. At one point I found out that my videographer we booked had been a scam, and he called me right away and helped me book another videographer that same week.I cannot even count how many times my husband and I talked about what a hidden gem of a wedding photographer John is. He made it feel like we were the only couple he was working with and gave us his undivided attention at all times. When it came time for the wedding John met with us quite a few times in the months before to discuss the timeline of our day and specific pictures that we wanted taken. He even met with our videographer two times to plan out the logistics together without us even being at the meeting! He sent us a timeline for the day of, and followed it very conscientiously on the actual day. He was a calming presence and helped us stick to our timeline on our wedding day before the ceremony. He took beautiful first look pictures and ceremony pictures, and was flexible with our needs all day. He was patient and calm when things got stressful and did everything we asked of him and more. He stayed until the very end of our wedding taking pictures the entire time. Lots of our guests commented on how he seemed to be everywhere, taking pictures of absolutely everything but still somehow staying out of the way and all times. My husband and I both talked about how we barely even noticed him during the ceremony and the reception because he was so out of the way but he still managed to get pictures of everything we wanted! After the wedding, John sent me some beautiful sneak peeks the very next day and sent more throughout the week. He had ALL 1500 of our wedding pictures back to us within two weeks, in both color and black and white. The pictures he took were absolutely beautiful and we will cherish them forever. PLEASE book John Munno if you are looking for a dedicated, talented and helpful photographer. He went so far above and beyond in every way possible and we are really going to miss him! Best choice!!!
We chose John Munno for our wedding in April 2021, and we just had the pleasure of doing our engagement photos with him at Southford falls. It couldn’t have gone better. We did our shoot on a Thursday and he had over 200 beautiful photos back to us by Saturday afternoon. All our friends and family were extremely impressed by the quality and it’s been tough narrowing it down to just a few pictures for the save the dates.
John did a great job finding good lighting and gorgeous scenery for our pictures and we’re excited to see what he can do for us on our wedding day. Besides for the excellent pictures, one of the best things about him is that he’s been like a mini wedding planner. He has multiple recommendations for DJs, florists, and more. He’s also been very helpful planning out the timeline for getting ready and taking photos on our wedding day. Overall, he’s been fun and fantastic to work with. I cannot say enough wonderful things about John Munno and the time he took to ensure the love, joy, and quirkiness of our special day was truly captured. We met John at a Bridal Show and, after meeting with a few other photographers that we didn't want to hire, scheduled a meeting with him. He welcomed us to his studio, shared his expertise, showed us the beautiful pictures he had taken of other weddings, and the packages he offers. He was comfortable to be around with his great energy and sense of humor. He asked us questions we never would have thought of and helped us finalize the pieces of our special day.
We schedule our outdoor engagement shoot and looked forward to spending time with him one afternoon in June to really get a feel for him and his work. He was extremely detailed-oriented and went out of his way to make sure we had everything that we wanted for that afternoon. When it was downpouring, he took the time to reschedule (in the midst of his busy wedding season) our shoot for a later date. He did research beforehand, met us at a local coffee shop to start our shoot and took us through the day with such ease. We walked away with 250+ beautiful pictures! One thing I most loved about working with John is that he wanted to ensure our personalities both individually and as a couple came through with every decision we made. You could see that in both the engagement pictures and the pictured he took our special day (over 1500!)
He emailed us, called us, and guided us along the way. He met with us a few times along the way to ensure everything would be perfect and that he would capture every detail we wanted him to. He even checked the time of the sunset (several times) in order to plan for the outdoor pics we wanted right after our ceremony. He stayed until the very end of the night at our reception and asked me as he was going to start packing if there was anything else we wanted him to take a picture of before he left. WOW! He had our pictures to us in less than 2 weeks digitally and on a flashdrive. He was the best! He went above and beyond for us and I know he would do the same for you. John deserves every single one of these five stars and then some! He was absolutely amazing throughout the whole process from beginning to end. I actually came upon John in a wedding group. I was drawn to him because of his kind heart. Someone in the group got messed over by their photographer and would not have any pictures from their wedding day. John offered to do a photo shoot for the bride and groom free of charge to makeup for what their photographer did to them. John was phenomenal with communication the whole time and really impressed me. He really cared about making sure he understood everything I wanted and then exceeded those expectations. My wife and I were married at the Saybrook Point Inn in CT in October and had the pleasure of working with John Munno as our photographer. John is a real professional with an eye towards getting the perfect shots and made the process easy from initial consultation to the day of. We looked through a lot of potential photographers for someone who’s photo-journalistic style matched what we were looking for and after reviewing his website and looking at his work we reached out to John for more information. It’s always a little tricky when you’re planning a wedding in another state and using local vendors, but even without meeting in person we felt immediately comfortable with John through our phone/skype calls.
In the lead up to the wedding John kept in touch and helped us put together a rough shoot list of what we wanted to get during the ceremony, photo shoot and reception. His experience was clutch! We had only a vague idea of what we wanted, with a few ideas pulled from weddings we’d been to or pulled off of pinterest. John helped us put together a shoot list and set expectations for photos on the day and turnaround time.
Day of the wedding John was on time and ready to go! He worked with the wedding party as everyone got ready and put together a lot of fun pre-wedding shots. At the Ceremony he did his best to stay out of the way at the same time making sure to get the beautiful reactions shots we wanted and capturing the beauty of the ceremony. It was an outdoor ceremony and lighting was a bit tricky, but John captured some beautiful photos that we’ve been bragging about them and showing them off since.
John’s eye towards lighting is masterful! We put him to the challenge when we did photos with the wedding party between the ceremony and reception out on a dock as the sun began to go down. He proved himself undoubtedly up to the task. At the reception John’s camera went to work, catching beautiful candids of dancing and celebrating. It was an incredible day and we’re very thankful to John for putting together a beautiful record that we’ll look back on and cherish forever!

What a perfect day with a perfect photographer!
We hired John Munno last summer, a year ahead of our summer wedding. From the first contact, John was absolutely wonderful to work with. He had three consultations with us over the course of the year and answered SO many questions for us. He truly knows wedding planning processes and made our lives so easy. We had difficulty with our venue and John helped us re-do our day of timeline, effortlessly!
I don’t even know where to begin with my gratitude and praise for his work on the day of our wedding! He was so professional and made everyone feel so comfortable. He worked with our families during family pictures to make sure even my one year old niece was in the picture and looking happy!! Our bridal party portraits and couple pictures are absolutely breathtaking. We had a solid hour where he continued to work with us and find the best spots/angles. How he managed to get some angles of our photos, we will never know! He worked so hard to make sure that our day was flawless! Such a wonderful human being on top of being talented! John was an amazing photographer who really helped us plan our day from start to finish, and we absolutely loved his photos! We couldn't have asked for a better photographer, and his prices were incredibly reasonable for the amazing service and number of photos we received. His attention to detail really came through in our first look photos. We got married in a field surrounded by mountains, and John immediately saw the best places to frame our portraits with the mountains behind us. He also captured amazing action shots on the dance floor without getting in anyone's way. He was only one photographer, but all of the views that we got during our ceremony and reception made it look like we had hired an additional photographer. In addition, we did a lot of our wedding DIY, and it was so helpful to talk to John on the phone before the wedding date to help solidify many details that we hadn't considered, like the benefits of a first look and what details were most important to us that day. He wasn't pushy in the least, but he presented the pros and cons of each choice to help us make an informed decision, and he was flexible and accommodating. I would recommend John to anyone in the greater CT area for their wedding! -
