Would Hire Again!! Fantastic!!!

DJ John Gallagher did an INCREDIBLE job at our recent wedding! John is super responsive, listens carefully to his client's wants, and executes perfection! Due to COVID, our wedding plans evolved dramatically and ever so quickly. John kept in touch with us the entire roller coaster ride through, even stepped in last minute when we had no music for our sudden ceremony change and made the ceremony beautiful with our custom list! John is very well connected and we hired other amazing professionals based on his recommendations. Although our wedding planning had a lot of bumps in the road due to COVID, we slept well knowing John would take care of us and we were in good hands with him. John bent over backwards to help us on more than one occasion. Our guests told us over and over "Your DJ is INCREDIBLE"!! We can't thank John enough for the wonderful job and exceptional music!!!

Ringing in 2020!

We can not thank John and Becky enough for the amazing music and fun photobooth at our New Year's Eve wedding! John totally nailed our vision for cocktail hour and dinner, and the dance floor was packed the whole night which speaks for itself! I myself could not stay off the dance floor! His resources online made it super convenient to make up song request lists and event timelines at your own pace. They are simply the best at organizing everyone, keeping the night on track, and making sure the party is hopping!!

A true professional & absolutely amazing DJ

We hired John Gallagher as our DJ for our wedding reception. He was absolutely amazing. The first time meeting John was enjoyable and he made it easy to plan the flow of our entire night. He custom tailored the music to our tastes from smooth jazz during the cocktail/dinner hour to pumping up the dance floor for the final hour. Everyone was complementing on how great the music was and the dance floor was never empty! John is a true professional and made our event one to remember!

Hiring John as our wedding DJ was the best decision we made. We were planning our wedding long distance but he was complexity flexible to meet with us when we were in the area. He even drove to Meadville the day before Christmas to plan with us in person, then met again via Skype shortly before the wedding to finalize details. When we had to make a last minute venue change, he took it upon himself to go visit the knew venue ahead of time so he would be prepared. He did a fantastic job emceeing the evening and kept the dance floor packed all night! We had a few requests for editing songs and he followed through with every single request. If you want your reception to be a party you, your friends and family will always remember, booking John is a no-brainer.

John Gallagher gave an exceptional wedding DJ performance at our wedding in February! He was very flexible with getting together with us and very organized with our 'last minute bridal party changes!' He kept our guests dancing all night long! We couldn't have asked for a better DJ/MC!

John was very professional from the very beginning! Living in Pittsburgh was no problem for him, as he was accommodating with a very detailed phone conversation during the planning process. Our venue looked absolutely magical with his white uplighting and our "dancing on a cloud" came out great in our wedding video. The music was a great mix for our guests and kept the dance floor busy all night. Thank you again John!

I'm very happy to have the opportunity to provide John with the glowing review he deserves. My husband and I decided to contact John after he came highly recommended by several friends. I cannot stress enough how perfect he made our wedding day. From the lighting to entertaining our guests, John really went above and beyond. As a bride, the planning process was extremely stressful. John put my mind at ease right away and I knew I didn't have anything to worry about when it came to our DJ that night. He is very professional, made sure to take down all of the names in our bridal party and made sure he knew how to pronounce them, and even made suggestions that helped us plan our reception. We received many compliments on our DJ choice. I would recommend John to anyone looking for a professional, fun and entertaining DJ! Best in the business!

We did most of our planning for our PA wedding from Florida and John was great with working with us. He has online planning tools that really cover every musical aspect of the wedding. As soon as we relocated back to PA John met with us to go over everything in person.
On our wedding day we had to move our ceremony inside due to weather and John made sure he was in contact with me (the bride) during the morning to make adjustments and make the wedding great. He suggested having our uplighting on during the ceremony to set the mood since we would be losing the lakeside background we had planned. He was fantastic during the ceremony and reception keeping everything moving and making sure everyone was having fun.
Great additional things that he offers is the free uplighting and the "love story" which our guests really enjoyed. We still get compliments today (3 months later) about how great he was with music choices and volume (especially during dinner). He is very professional, friendly, and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ.

DJ John was the best! He was very responsive to every question we had, and was great at coaching us through what needed to be planned. His online planning portal made everything so easy - we knew exactly what "events" during the reception we needed to pick music for, and we planned the exact timeline we wanted for our reception. We don't live in Erie, but John was always easy to reach, by phone and email, and always responded immediately to our requests and questions. He made our wedding night totally about us and incorporated all of our requests! Our guests commented on the great music, and we knew everyone was having a great time on the dance floor! :) John also provided beautiful uplighting, and the reception glowed with our colors! Professional and perfect!

John was absolutely a fantastic DJ for our wedding! Out of all the vendors who contributed to our big day, John was clearly one of the best. We were planning our wedding long distance and I was worried about finding a DJ who would be flexible with scheduling in-person meetings. Not only did John go out of his way to meet with me in-person near my parent's home while I was in town one weekend, but he also arranged a Skype meeting so that we could chat once more before the big day. And, he was extremely responsive via email and over the phone. John also utilizes a very comprehensive online planning tool that any details-oriented bride will surely appreciate. I know I did! We had our wedding in a barn and let John know that we predominantly wanted country music to be played. He was so good about sticking to that genre, but still selected the perfect songs to get people who weren't huge country fans out on the dance floor. We were singing along to everything all night! My fiance and I kept saying to each other that John really captured who we are in a playlist. We were so impressed! And, we were lucky enough to book John at a time when he was including up-lighting with his DJ services. It really added a beautiful pop of color to our venue and would have been totally worth the extra cost. You really can't go wrong with John for your wedding DJ! He will keep the party going all night long and make sure that your event is exactly what you're dreaming of! :)

I had John for our 40th class reunion. I found him very pleasant and easy to work with. Can do most everything online or not comfortable with that than he is readily available for phone calls. Personable, engaging with crowd and sensitive to the type of attendees in determining the volume of the music played. Not too loud, not too soft.

We hired John Gallagher to DJ our wedding and we knew right from the initial interview that he was the DJ for us. So professional and nice!! He made our day so special and he got everyone up and dancing...even the shy ones. Unfortunately we had to cancel our wedding the first time but we were able to keep him when we rescheduled the new date and he was even nice enough to apply the retainer fee we paid the first time to our new date!! I would recommend him to anyone! If you are looking for a DJ to provide you with a good time and amazing entertainment, please call John Gallagher...I promise you he will not disappoint!!

John is the definition of professionalism. Throughout the entire wedding planning process, johns responsiveness and courtesy shined and made planning all the more easier. We highly recommend John Gallagher's DJ service! He was absolutely amazing from start to finish. He met with us several months ahead of the wedding to get to know us. Absolutely great DJ! Went above and beyond during our planning when we had issues with our venue and called a couple others he had worked with in the past, checked availability, and provided me with the contact information if we needed to change venues. Worked with us to get the music we wanted and selections we did not want played. We had asked for our wedding to be more like a party and he brought it to us! John Gallagher raised the quality of the atmosphere with his experience, preparation, and planning. We sat down with John just a few short weeks before our date and he guided us through ideas, song selections, timing, etc. Going into this day, we were of course nervous. At the wedding he played all of the songs we had requested and was great entertainment during downtimes.

Absolutely amazing job! Brian and I could not have been more happy with the services that John provided. From the first call that I had with John to the meetings in between and the wedding itself, he went above and beyond. John was very easy to work with and we have received multiple compliments from our guests about what a great job he did moving the ceremony and reception along as well as the music. John was the DJ for our September 21, 2013 wedding in Buffalo and he did a wonderful job. He was flexible and responsive in terms of communicating with me and fiance and coming to Buffalo to meet with us. The music was great - the dance floor was packed! John also did uplighting for our venue and it was absolutely stunning. I was completely blown away by how he made the room look. But even more than that, John was so friendly and made me feel like he truly cared about our special day. We started to fall behind schedule in terms of first dance, etc. John came and found me to alert me of the time and ask what I wanted to do. He was a wonderful host to our evening. I couldn't have asked for more.

John met beyond my expectations. He was professional, but at the same time felt like a friend. He listened to our requests, he made everything happen we asked for, and if anything was slightly off during the reception (our priest not being there to say the blessing) he stepped right in without any hesitation. We had several guests approach us and say how great the music was and how great they thought John was. I cannot give enough praise. I would recommend John to anyone.

John Gallagher was absolutely phenomenal!! Leading up to the event, his website was user friendly to help organize the wedding details. He was very flexible in meeting times and prompt with email responses. The uplighting provided added much more than I could have ever imagined, just beautiful! His attention to detail and research into how we met and our love story really showed through throughout the evening adding a wonderful personal touch. John's DJ personality and great song choices had everyone of all ages on the dance floor! He truly made our reception memorable for a lifetime!! I would highly recommend him!!

We loved working with John!! From the moment we contacted him for wedding he was responsive and came up with great ideas. He made our wedding special and actually listened to us when we told him what type of music our family and friends liked. People LOVED the music and thought that John was a great DJ. I would hire him all over again in an instant. He even drove 45 minutes to meet us on multiple occasions for meetings. He was wonderful and we enjoyed working with him.

John provided entertainment at our wedding reception and also the ceremony, on 8/10/13 at the Masonic Temple. It was a pleasure to work with John through all the steps that came to be our day. Throughout the entire process, his attention to detail, professionalism, and willingness to work with us made him our favorite vendor to work with.
We came across John whom already had the great reviews, presentable website, and quality examples of his work including videos. Our initial meeting with John consisted of a basic overview of our ideas for the wedding day and also what his services entailed. He explained all the steps of working with him and how his website integrated into his process.
The next step consisted of a few various meetings to go over the ceremony, reception, and how to choose our songs through his website and provided log in for each mini event. We also took advantage of using a service of John's that was LED up lighting. John always made himself available to make any meetings we requested or questions via email. Before we knew it we were finalizing the details.
When it came to finalizing the details, John guided us in making our decisions with our timeline and laid out how everything is supposed to flow which led to the day of the wedding.
The ceremony went very well and flowed nicely with the officiant and DJ collaboration. The reception was a treat seeing everything put together. The bridal party entered the reception with their own unique songs, and we did many different events within the reception including an ice breaker game. John came up with a love story that he shared with our guests explaining how we came to be. The music throughout the reception sounded great.
Overall, it was a delight to work with John. From step one, he was always there for us and made the decision making process very easy. He worked well with our crowd of family and friends to ensure that the fun didnt stop throughout the day.

John was very flexible and easy to talk to. He helped us through the planning process step by step and gave us many recommendations and listened to our requests. The online planning guide was wonderful as we could work on it at our convenience and having links to the songs was great. He kept the reception moving along and there were people on the dance floor from the first song to the last. The uplighting he provided really set the mood in the venue. We would recommend DJ John Gallagher to anyone looking to have all their dreams come true on their wedding day! We had many unique ideas in our mind that we wanted to do, and he went above and beyond to make all our ideas come to life! Just a few examples, we were able to dance to our first song as husband and wife "on a cloud" and he made a customized song for our father daughter dance. John is so personable and truly cares about giving you your perfect day. He also was the only DJ that didn't talk bad about other DJ's and that was very respectable and was a huge selling point to us because at our consultations with other DJ's all they seemed to talk about were how good they are and how bad others were.
If we had to do it all over again we would most definitely choose John Gallgher as our DJ!

John Gallagher was the best–Friendly, professional, and entertaining.

John accommodated every request, providing music, lighting, and a projector for showing pictures during the reception. The music volume was perfect–loud enough for a great time on the dance floor, but allowing simultaneous conversation. The equipment was portable with high quality sound. Music emanated throughout the room so evenly that you could not even tell where the speakers were located. Prior to the event we noticed that John became very attuned to our needs having many creative ideas to assist when needed. John’s confident and professional attitude assured us that everything was going to be just right, and it was.

John was set up before we arrived, checked to see if there were requests or changes, and made seamless adaptations as necessary to accommodate the mood. John checked with us throughout the evening keeping the entire event flowing smoothly–nonchalantly reminding us of upcoming events such as; cake cutting, first dance, and toasts.

To anyone looking for a DJ in the area--you will NOT be disappointed with John Gallagher. He was definitely the easiest part of planning a wedding from out of state. He was the most professional person I encountered of the wedding vendors in the area and he perfectly tied EVERY aspect of the night together beautifully. Besides the location (and maybe the food), all of my guests keep raving about the DJ!

Believe me folks, he is the best DJ around. I am somewhat picky and if I'm saying it, it means a lot. Do yourself a favor brides (or grooms for that matter), make it easy on yourself, and pick John. There will be a million other things to worry about. Your DJ doesn't have to be one of them.

John Gallagher made the reception planning easy! He was so fun to work with and willing to be flexible to your schedule... Our wedding was 45 minutes from his office area and he drove to meet us TWICE to plan.

John Gallagher was amazing to work with. As music people, the music at our wedding was extremely important to us. John worked with us to make our wedding so personal and special, and it was exactly what we wanted. John Gallagher made our wedding reception so special. He was fun, energetic, professional, dependable, and responsible. I felt like I could call him any time to discuss an idea, and he would get back to me within a few hours. He knew every song and artist available, and he knew just what to do to get everyone on the floor dancing all night (young and old)! Although he is in Erie, he traveled to Canandaigua to be a part of our special day. He was even willing to travel to meet us before the wedding. John made our whole wedding, and I would recommend him to any of my closest friends and family members. Thank you John!!!

John was very flexible and easy to work with. He made the reception unique by incorporating some extra props at our request. He also got back to us very quickly every time i emailed him before the ceremony. I would highly recommend him.

DJ John was very professional and personable. He kept the reception moving along smoothly, so we had time to dance and have fun. He played all the music that we requested and everyone had such a great time. I would recommend DJ John to anyone.

John was wonderful to work with. He provided music for my ceremony as well as my reception. He offered suggestions with our play list and kept in contact throughout the entire planning process. His website to create your play list is user friendly and he pronounced everyones' name correctly. I would strongly recommend him!

WONDERFUL! He kept the party going all night and had the perfect balance between speaking/crowd interaction and playing music. He was open to requests. We had numerous compliments from our guests on his services!

John was great! Very easy and flexible to work with and was excellent at figuring out how to work in our reception site, which can be tricky. He is very responsive via email and phone and even Skyped with us since we live out of state. Definitely recommend using John for any event!

John was very helpful in making our wedding entertaining to all guests. He also did our ceremony music which was beautiful. Highly recommend! Up lighting is great also

John was a great DJ, he was willing to do whatever we asked in a very timely manner. He worked really well with the other vendors.
