When you decide to have BBQ at your KC area wedding...
My fiancé (now husband) & I LOVE Joe's. Naturally, this was the first place we thought of when we decided we wanted BBQ for our wedding guests, especially for those who have never tasted real KC BBQ. We considered several caterers, but no one could beat the quality (or the price) of Joe's. I found Katie & her staff to be professional, easy to communicate with, thoughtful & thorough. They were also wonderfully flexible, especially when it came to coordinating with a second caterer for our vegan/vegetarian guests. We also appreciated that they were willing to cut cake & prepare to-go plates for vendors. I highly recommend Joe's!My fiancé (now husband) & I LOVE Joe's. We used Joe's KC for our rehearsal dinner. We were looking for an easy, inexpensive, local to KC option for our guests, and we found it! They had everything ready for us to pick up right on time, and EVERYONE loved it (of course)! This gave us the option to provide a rehearsal dinner that didn't break the bank for us. Joe's KC BBQ (formerly Oklahoma Joe's) was an amazing choice for our Kansas City wedding reception! They were incredibly easy to work with, flexible and catered to all of our needs! Their staff was excellent from the event planners all the way to the servers. Best BBQ on the planet!! We had the smoked chicken breast, burnt ends, spicy slaw, and beans!! Oklahoma Joe's brought our dream downtown Kansas City wedding to fruition. The food was hot for every single guest and the same quality as if we'd ordered it in the store. Melissa and her team ran the perfect, smooth event. I never saw them, and we never ran out of anything. Every single guest raved that it was hands down the best wedding food they have ever eaten. I am so glad we choose BBQ as our food for our reception! And who better than the best bbq in KC! Thank you to all the catering staff and Melissa Waters especially for such great food and service! Melissa was very flexible and understanding through such a stressfull time! Everyone enjoyed the food very much and we will be coming back for more of that great BBQ at the restraunt soon!I am so glad we choose BBQ as our food for our reception! And who better than the best bbq in KC! Thank you to all the catering staff and Melissa Waters especially for such great food and service! Melissa and the catering staff at OK Joe's were so great to work with! They were completely helpful with all the aspects of planning and helped us to create the "Best of KC" ambiance we were going for! What better way to represent KC than with BBQ?! The food was absolutely delicious and the service was completely professional and timely! They even helped us with our cake and other aspects we had not thought of. All of our out-of-towners and even our in-towners LOVED the food! If we had it to do again, we wouldn't change a thing!Melissa and the catering staff at OK Joe's were so great to work with! OK Joe's is a no brainer for KC BBQ. But, I was a little concerned about having it for a wedding. Melissa and her catering crew delivered a wonderful spread that looked beautiful. The food was delicious, and everything was taken care of. They were very flexible and offered to make dishes not on the menu. It was also one of the cheapest catering options I had found( win -win ) Katie, the catering manager, was very easy to work with and let me come in to decide on the plates and silverware options. She was very flexible and I didn't have to turn in my final count until a few days before the wedding. We had plenty of leftovers and had several guests say " I was so full after your wedding" You don't find many people saying that after traditional wedding meal.
