Five Star Pros!

I put on a major event for 350-400 guests every year and Joe's been a major reason for our success. He and his team are professional, cheerful, talented, and produce the show without a glitch. There's never a request they haven't handled with ease. Joe and Joe Squared Productions get my 5 stars because they've earned!

Awesome experience.

Joe Squared productions supplied us with a dance floor for our school fundraiser event. The were on time for early set up and super easy to work with!! We will be using them again for future events.

Joe is by far the best vendor we could have picked. He is exceptional and goes above and beyond for his clients. Joe and his team did an amazing job of creating my vision and even added more to make it more perfect than the rainy circumstances that we were stuck with.

Joe was great to work with, very easy to communicate with and you get a fast response. I rented gold chivari chairs and floor length ivory linens from his company. Everything was set up prompty on my wedding day and it looked great.

Second time using Joe Squared Productions for our Holiday Party. Once the theme was determined, Joe showed us ideas of what can work and that he can arrange for us. Decor ended up being perfect for the theme we had talked about. Received many comments as to how wonderful the room looked.

Joe is wonderful, he was so easy to work with, and always answered all of our questions. I never once had to worry about anything with him. Even all the last minute details, I was able to shoot him a quick email, and he would respond right away. From us getting a quote to the day of the wedding, I don't think we could have had it any easier. All of the rentals we used looked amazing!! The photobooth was a hit, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it, and getting all the digital copies made it even better. Thank you Joe for being as awesome as you are!!

Joe Squared Productions is a one-stop shop. I contracted the company for my recent November wedding and they provided lighting (uplights, pin spotting, and washes), satin draping, kings and farm tables, chiavari chairs, and high chairs. We had a friend DJ and a family member emcee the event but these services can be provided by Joe Squared Productions as well. They provide quality products at a competitive price (less than other vendors in the industry. In fact, I decided to rent chiavari chairs through them because it was more expensive to rent through my venue). They're very flexible and very easy to work with. We made several changes after the initial invoice and they were able to fulfill every request. If you have something very unique or particular in mind just run it by Joe and he can get it for you. Overall we had a very positive experience working with Joe Squared Productions. I'm sure other couples can agree that with all of the stress of planning a wedding, having a one-stop shop vendor is extremely convenient.

Joe and his team did a gorgeous job transforming the venue space for our wedding. Our reception was held at a Chinese restaurant and my main goal was to make it not feel like a Chinese restaurant. And Joe Squared Productions did just that.

We booked Joe Squared Productions for draping and lighting services. Joe was always very quick to respond to my emails. Sometimes I struggled with getting all of my questions answered when we were communicating via email. But once we met up in person, it was very clear that Joe was a well-seasoned veteran and would be able to execute exactly what I was thinking. I ended up meeting up with Joe just a few days before our wedding, so my suggestion would be to meet with him sooner if you want to hash out your details early on.

One of the things that I liked most about Joe Squared Productions is how transparent they are about their pricing. They let you know exactly what you are paying for and how everything breaks down; not to mention, their pricing is super affordable. Highly recommended!

Joe was amazing, he really transformed the space into this beautiful pink oasis. Joe set-up our ceremony site with Silver Chiavari chairs and a beautiful draped arbor post. In addition we ordered uplighting and draping for the reception area. There was no hidden fees and he was very flexible to work, he made time for us and never made us rush on a decision. He offered many other services as well, definitely will keep him in my contacts for future events. Thanks Joe for making my pink oasis come alive !

I'm a wedding planner with Ooh La La Weddings and Joe and his team came to my rescue last weekend. My outdoor wedding quickly needed to become a tented wedding do to the rain. Joe was able to fit us in and deliver and install a much needed dance floor. He was very responsive and patient as we were asked to protect the venues grass. The tent was late with its installation but Joe was on time. He had to set up the dance floor before the tent was even up. He followed my instructions and put it in exactly where it needed to be! I'm looking forward to working with his company again!!

Joe Squared Productions definitely provided the ambience we wanted for our wedding! They provided street market lighting, draping, LED up-lights, linens, and cocktail tables. Literally days before the wedding, a storm was predicted to hit on our wedding day and Joe was able to rent us a tent and change the entire set-up plan, so that we could still have the feel of an outdoor wedding. It was absolutely beautiful!!!

Joe2productions is the best team to refer to when need any kind of event decorations! Lights, furniture, draping... Their prices are the best in town and they provide outstanding professional service at your event!!!

Joe knows 100% what he is doing when lightning up the room. No need to give any special instructions. Also, at our wedding Joe was extremely helpful with moving chairs from one room to another and staying a bit longer to help us play our video on the TV that we rented from him. Huge help!!

you will never find another vendor who is so on top of his communication skills during what was one of the most important events i had to plan. it was a wedding put together in a matter of 3 months and was very detailed in theme and production. joe was nothing but incredible to work with on making the vision come to life for not only the bride and groom but also for myself as the wedding planner. i will definitely be using joe for all my lighting and decor needs with my events! thanks joe for such an incredible experience. you made the theme a reality!

I met Joe Squared at a wedding fair event I went to. In addition, Joe Squared was the vendor my best friend used for her wedding. I decided to go with them because I was able to see their work first hand at the wedding fair and my friends wedding. We booked Joe 9 months before the wedding. We walked through the venue together and we were impressed with his professionalism and felt I could trust him to execute the vision I had in my head. When we saw our reception space, we were so happy!! One of the walls of our reception was a window that looked out to a swimming pool, which we didn't want to see. So we had draping with these string lights behind it. It was exactly how I imagined it, I think that was my favorite part. It reminded me of stars/winter night. Perfect for the theme. Joe Squared also provided uplighting and gobo light for our dance floor. We couldn't be happier with the outcome and I would definitely recommend him to others.

We had amber uplighting, draping with hanging glass ball candles, spotlight for cake, custom gobo, and sequin sweetheart table linen. It look absolutely beautiful. We had many compliments, and it really transformed the ballroom! Was worth every penny. In addition, compared to other vendors in the same service area, JoeSquared was reasonably priced.

We also had the photobooth, with gold crush backdrop, which was tons of fun, only con is there was there not a photobooth scrapbook as stated in the package. However, the other services were so well done, I still give 5 stars.

Joe Squared provided uplighting, chair rentals and table rentals for my Black Friday wedding. Service and excellent and the prices were even better. My venue was transformed and I didn't have to spend a small fortune. One of the luxury items that I had dreamed about for my wedding were chiavari chairs, but all of the other rental companies were charging an arm and a leg. Joe Squared offers the same chairs at fraction of the cost. Highly recommended and will definitely contact again for future events.

I used Joe's lighting services for my wedding. I had simple uplighting and monogram done for the wedding. I was able to book them in advance and they visited the venue to help me decide what kind of design I would like. The day of the wedding they came in a few hours before to set everything up. When I walked into the venue, I was AMAZED. It looked incredible!! They did an awesome job in placing the lights to highlight the positive aspects of the venue and take the eyes off the awful outdated carpet. I would definitely recommend their services!

Joe was great to work with. We first got to see one of the events he was setting up for before we booked him for our wedding and knew it would be amazing.

He met with us several times and was super helpful with suggestions about what the venue needed in terms of lighting and where stuff should be set up. He provided beautiful draping for a few plain walls in the space and his crystal draping for our hallway was exactly what I asked for. I do think we were missing some crystal draping in our ceremony, but honestly the fabric draping was beautiful and no one else noticed it wasn't there.

Joe was so easy to work with that we booked their services for our wedding rehearsal/Ghanian Wedding Celebration a couple of days before our traditional wedding as well. I got to pick out the linens in person and got to pick the exact colors that we wanted. AND I got a bubble machine for our processional! Best day ever!

Highly recommend Joe Squared. They have everything you need and will get it done professionally and on time and at an affordable rate!

Joe was wonderful to work with. He gave me ideas, was super flexible and his pricing was great for my budget. He helped set up everything for the rehearsal dinner at my house. The next day he set up lighting inside and out, and chairs for the wedding. He is a "one stop shop" and is able and willing to provide so many things to make your party/wedding a huge success. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Joe is very responsive and knows his stuff. We met for a walk through and I shared my vision and he made it a reality. The lighting looked fantastic and created the ambiance we wanted for the wedding. The prices were also reasonable. I won a coupon for 40% off lighting at a bridal fair, but even without the coupon, the prices were still affordable. We also had Joe create an arbor with a chandelier and it looked amazing. We received so many compliments and ended up taking our family photos in front of the chandelier so we could use it as a back drop. Overall, my husband and I are extremely pleased with Joe Squared and would highly recommend them for all lighting needs.

I wish I could give a million stars. 5 is SOOOO not enough. If you are really thinking about getting ANY service for your event, especially your wedding, then look NO further. Seriously. My husband and I are like...man, what other events can we throw just so we can hire Joe?

Seriously. Words can't express his total professionalism. I met Joe at a wedding fair when I was thinking about lighting. We ended up using him as a one stop shop for so much more. He was SO reasonable with his prices and made us feel SO at ease that we just gave him all of our business that we could. He did the lighting, he was the DJ, he did the tent rental, table and chair rentals and Even HELPED TO FILL WINE GLASSES when we had an issue.

This dude friggen ROCKS. I kept having this horrible feeling that people weren't going to get up and dance at my wedding. I feared that it was going to be totally boring. That dance floor was UNSEEN all night! What floor? All there was were hands in the air and bodies shaking everywhere. It was AMAZING. We sooooo owe all of the hype to Joe. He kept the dance floor alive and the flow of the night going.

You will NOT be disappointed if you hire him for any of his services. The lighting was SPECTACULAR! He did a custom GOBO for us, and the entire event just looked incredible.

He stayed in communication with us and the entire experience with him was SUPER smooth. Totally professional, and completely amazing.

Joe did a great job as the MC and DJ of our wedding. His lighting equipment made our venue look great, and his song selection had all of our family grooving along through the night! He kept everything on track, helped our guests, and most importantly made planning and coordination up to the event very easy.

I'd definitely recommend Joe for your event. He's fun and professional!

Joe-squared was absolutely amazing. We found them at a wedding fair while looking for a DJ. My husband works as an engineer and deals with a lot of AV things so he was very picky when it came to the DJ/lighting. We were thrilled to find out they offered chairs to rent for our beach ceremony as well. The chairs were great and they set up the entire beach for us, it was excellent! Joe traveled all the way to our reception location (an hour or two away) so that we could walk around and he could determine what all would be needed and how the set up would look (much more personal then looking at a diagram and trying to estimate everything!). He was in constant communication with us and the price was actually less than we were expecting. We used uplighting in the reception hall and the look it created was absolutely AMAZING. They played all of our requests and were calm and accommodating throughout everything. They did an amazing job and I would absolutely recommend them to others.

I've had the pleasure working with Joe Sq. Productions for my wedding. I stumbled upon this company at a Bay Area Wedding Fair; they were giving away prizes and I won a free GOBO! After reviewing their catalog and large inventory, I knew I wouldn't be able to find another company that can beat their stellar prices. I contacted Joe the owner and from there he was always responsive, kind and thoughtful. I'm happy that I made a great decision. I highly recommenced Joe Sq. Absolutely fantastic from start to finish! Joe was very responsive and creative with his ideas for our wedding. JoeSquared Productions took care of our basic table & chair rentals as well as our lighting, photo booth, china, glassware, etc. Truly a one stop shop. I met Joe at a bridal fair and won 50% off of any service that we booked. After having a one on one consultation with him, we knew we wanted to use him for lighting and DJ service. I never felt like Joe was not giving us enough attention or not putting in as much effort as he should just because we were getting a price deal. Throughout the entire planning process, Joe has been very helpful and came very well prepared the day of the wedding. During our meetings, I gave him specific song requests to play during dinner (my husband and I prefer alternative rock music), and Joe made sure to have every song available. After dinner, he played great dancing music. Our guests had a blast and many made several comments about how great of a job the DJ was doing. The lighting that he provided was AMAZING! We had 30+ lights surrounding the inside of the room, and lights outside highlighting the building. The lights made such a huge difference in the appearance of the room. He was even able to adjust each of the light colors to match the colors of the wedding, and every so often the room would fade into a different color. I can't say enough great things about Joe Squared Productions, and would recommend them to anyone. Thank you Joe for helping to make our wedding day the best day ever!

Joe Square arrived and the room location had changed. We needed to light more area than anticipated. Joe Jr. accommodated the change. Joe Sr. Cameron the evening of the event and made sure all was well. I ran the lights and it was a great event.

Joe Squared was an absolute delight to work with. They went above and beyond in every aspect. I was charged with planning a Christmas Party for a guest list of 400 people while also doing my day job. Joe was great of keeping us all on time with our ideal schedule like when the blessing of the food, dinner, dance, cake and other events were suppose to take place. We did a unique first dance which required special editing of music and perfect timing, both he provided. You were able to feel the music and energy in the room. Thank you Joe!

Joe was excellent! His prices are very reasonable and he was very proactive. He always showed up on time and returned calls promptly. We hired Joe Squared Productions for lighting (personalized gobo light, chandelier, wash lights for cake & sweetheart table) and chiavari chairs at our wedding at the Stanford Park Hotel in Menlo Park. Joe was great to work with throughout the process. He met with us multiple times at the venue (First time to review the colors of the chairs and what lighting would work well in the space. He brought samples of the chairs and lights so that we could see them in the space. Second time to meet with the hotel engineering team to ensure that that chandelier would be structurally approved for the outdoor space). He is very knowledgeable and offered honest, useful insights about what would work in the space. Joe has great attention to detail and commitment to service. Our detailed requests were all completed to perfection. Joe's team arrived on time, set up the lights and chairs perfectly, and were efficient with the breakdown at the end of the night.

They offer a large variety of rentals and excellent pricing (I had done a lot of research and his pricing was the best!). I also appreciate that the prices on the pricing sheet already include delivery, setup, and breakdown. No hidden costs!

The upgrade to a leatherette seat cushion for the chiavari chairs were an excellent addition! They were far more comfortable than other chiavari chairs I have seen at other weddings. The chandelier and personalized gobo light added a great deal of luxury to our event!

I highly recommend Joe Squared Productions! The rentals really added to the luxurious ambiance for our wedding!

We worked with Joe Squared Productions for our April 2016 wedding at the Berkeley City Club in Berkeley, CA. Joe Squared provided a number of rentals for us, including chiavari chairs, draping, wedding arch, cake stand, and a pin spot light for our cake. We were extremely pleased with Joe Squared and highly recommend them!

We were really impressed by Joe Squared's rental selection and flexibility. When we first started working with Joe, he sent us a PDF catalog with information and pricing for a lot of what they have to offer (though they have more than what's listed in the catalog, so don't hesitate to ask!). We then met in-person to discuss our wedding vision and needs, talk about their offerings, and check out fabric swatches, which was enough for us to happily make our initial rental order. We kept thinking of changes and new things we needed after that, but Joe was able to accommodate all of our requests and changed our order as needed. And for the few things we needed that Joe didn't already have (arch, cake stand), he bought and rented them to us. Painless!

The only real problem we ran into working with Joe Squared is that it was often tough to coordinate via email. Sometimes my emails wouldn't get responses, or the responses would only answer some of my questions. But stick with it! Joe was really helpful when we met in person, and the rental delivery/pickup experience was painless: everything was delivered the night before the wedding and picked up a day or so later.

And the results! We were blown away by how it all turned out. Everything was perfect, and the draping Joe Squared set up around our ceremony space was more beautiful than we could have imagined. We got a bunch of compliments about how everything looked. And to top it off, Joe Squared's prices were great! Even our day-of coordinator was impressed by how affordable his rentals were -- especially the chiavari chairs.

Overall, we were really happy with Joe Squared Productions!

Joe and his father are exceptional! Please consider them for any type of event you might be planning on having because they will beautify your space.
What I found most helpful in Joe Squared productions is their responsiveness to any and all questions and concerns that I had. Prior to making a contract with them, I gave them my vision for my wedding and they suggested different things that they offered and addressed all of my concerns in full detail . I have a long thread of emails back and forth with Joe and if you see the amount of time they took to respond to me, it was like we were texting back and forth. They are so quick to respond to my concerns and I really respect that..
They also gave a reasonable price for the amount of work that they provided. I've looked at other lighting companies around the bay and they were the most affordable, especially for brides on a budget like me.
Delivery time was exactly when they said it would be and they even called me and my bridesmaids to check out whether the pink tone that they put up was the one that I wanted.
All in all, I'm very happy with Joe Squared Productions. My sister will be getting married in April and I am HIGHLY recommending them to her.

Joe and his company did a great job at our wedding! I won some lighting through one of the Bay Area wedding fairs and was worried that it might not work out. Joe came and did a trial run and showed us various lighting options at the venue. It was truly amazing how magical that lighting made the place look. We got married at the Mark Hopkins Intercontinental on Nob Hill and they made a point of taking us in the room before any of the guests arrived for a few minutes. I swear I wish I could have stayed in there an hour to soak it all in! The lighting really made a huge difference and I would highly recommend Joe to create some magic at your venue!

Working with Joe from Joe squared productions for my wedding was a pleasure. I knew nothing about sound equipment, lighting, or anything, really, that you need to throw a fabulous party and he was incredibly patient and responsive with all of my questions, and was even kind enough to keep the explanations in dummy terms. He literally replies to emails in minutes, knows exactly what you will need for a particular event, and is flexible in helping you make the right decisions. On the day of my wedding, everything was smooth and stress-free, with all of the important sound and lighting taken care of well before the party even began. Finally, the sound quality was amazing! I was married in a large warehouse space (read: hard to get good sound) but everything was perfect. Although I was initially a bit shocked at the cost, he helped me cut back on a few items to try to keep things more in my budget, and I have no regrets for spending a few extra bucks at all!

We hired Joe Squared Productions to handle the lighting at our very dark venue. We were in need of help with creating a starlight setting, which involved hanging over a hundred glowing balls. They handled the job professionally. We needed the space below highlighted, and colored uplights throughout the room. Joe Jr. was very helpful with different lighting suggestions to create a beautiful atmosphere. We were also able to rent a very nice dance floor and project a gobo light onto it. Joe Squared Production's prices were reasonable, and they were very flexible on the times that I needed installation to be done. I highly recommend Joe Squared Productions.

Uplighting is a must have for all weddings. Joe Squared was overall great. My only recommendation would be to make sure the installers check in with the Wedding Coordinator before leaving to verify the color shade is what was requested. The amber/light blue was more orange and a darker shade of blue than we wanted, however it still looked great.

The lighting really added a unique atmosphere to our wedding. Joe was very professional and easy to work with. I was very pleased with the end results and was very happy with their services. I especially liked that they are a one stop shop versus contacting several vendors ex. One for lighting one for chair rentals. I would definitely recommend using them for your party needs.

Joe was so great to work with. He helped bring the wedding of my dreams to life with his expert eye and skill for wedding decor, and his DJ-ing skills are AMAZING! My guests danced all night long and there was no lull or dull moment throughout the whole reception. There were a couple times in the planning process that I wished he'd been a little more responsive on email, but when brought to his attention he was quick to be more on top of it. His was one of the bigger costs of the wedding, but every penny was worth it and we wouldn't change a thing. Thank you, Joe, for being so great at what you do!

Disappointing Experience with Joe Squared

Joe Squared Productions was in charge of the decor for our wedding on June 18, 2022 at our country club. Unfortunately, our experience with Joe and his team was not what we had hoped for. The draping looked like it was hung by a child and the lighting was insufficient. Despite our agreements, specific items were not delivered, and we had to pay for them in advance. On the day of the wedding, we found out that Joe had left the ballroom 45 minutes before the reception was scheduled to start, and the staff at the country club found boxes of lights on the floor. We had to leave the reception to call Joe to come fix the lighting because it looked like a doctor's office. We were disappointed that the room did not feel like a nightclub, as we had expected.

We also had difficulty communicating with Joe leading up to the wedding, as he took days to return our calls. We received approximately 40% of the total bill as a reimbursement for non-deliverables, which took over 5 weeks to receive.

In retrospect, we should have paid more attention to the negative reviews of Joe Squared Productions and ensured that we had a signed contract that included a clause for a full refund for non-deliverables. We hope that our experience can serve as a warning to other potential customers.
