Jodi Raphael and her team were outstanding and made our daughter’s bat mitzvah weekend completely seamless. They handled every detail from the service and transportation to the party itself including the music, entertainment/dancers, décor, vendor coordination, and day-of execution. This allowed us to stay present and focused on our daughter and the meaning of the occasion. Jodi and her team also planned a fantastic out-of-towners dinner the night before and a brunch the morning after, both of which were thoughtfully coordinated and ran effortlessly. Throughout the process, Jodi (and team) was calm, responsive, and incredibly organized, anticipating issues before they came up and keeping everything on track without it ever feeling rigid or stressful. The result was a beautiful, high-energy celebration and a truly enjoyable weekend for our whole family and friends (almost everyone noted it was the best party they had ever attended). We are very grateful and highly recommend Jodi Raphael to anyone planning an event. -

Amazing celebration
Jodi and her team worked with our family to create an amazing and creative celebration for our daughter's bat mitzvah. We choose an usual venue and they truly brought our vision to life. They took care of every detail, so on the day of the event we could truly just show up and enjoy the celebration. Every decision was elegant, fun, and creative. A stress-free Vow Renewal
My husband and I decided to do a vow renewal ceremony for our 20th anniversary, not only as a celebration of our love, but also as a fundraiser for an organization fighting for marriage equality.
We told Jodi and her team we wanted an upscale version of our original wedding, which had been a clambake on an island in Boston Harbor.
We gave them pictures, a menu, a playlist, and a description of the vibe we were looking for. With only a couple of meetings with Jodi and her team, they not only nailed it, they went above and beyond. The experience was stress-free and enjoyable. If you’re fortunate enough to have a vision for your special day, Jodi and her team will make it happen. But don’t worry if you don’t — they’ll create one for you. Eight years earlier, our other daughter was married, so this was not our first rodeo. We knew what we liked — and what we didn’t — so our expectations were extremely high.
Let’s start with what my wife and I consider the most valuable quality in a wedding planner: communication.
Jodi and her staff were available to us 24/7, always ready to listen, answer questions, and offer honest, thoughtful advice. Their responsiveness and professionalism were unmatched.
Jodi’s list of vendors is truly first-class. She’ll help you stay within budget while surrounding you with a dream team — from photography and flowers to lighting, music, stationery, venues, and rentals. Everyone worked together seamlessly, all focused on one goal: making our night magical.
We were fortunate to host our wedding at the Omni Seaport Hotel, and Jodi’s familiarity with the venue and staff made the entire process effortless. From booking rooms to coordinating catering, she navigated every detail flawlessly.
Her precision with timelines ensured that everything ran smoothly — no surprises, no stress. When 6:30 p.m. arrived, we were rehearsed, prepared, and ready to go.
We chose not to see the ceremony room or the ballroom until “showtime,” wanting to experience it for the first time alongside our guests. Our expectations were sky-high, and yet we were blown away. As we walked our daughter down the aisle, the room was pure magic.
That feeling only grew when we entered the ballroom — my wife and I actually paused in awe just to take it all in. The lighting, the draping, the candles, the flowers, the band — nine months of planning captured in “One Shining Moment.”

Jodi and her team helped plan my wedding in August of 2024 in Boston. Right off the bat, her and her team had introductory calls with us to understand our vision and overall goals for our wedding. She was great about choosing vendors that matched our vision, and we had a spectacular night without having to worry about the small details. One of Jodi's particular strengths is her creativity and design, which is something I struggle with. Jodi executed on my vision (which admittedly was very vague) and it came out better than I could have ever expected. Fabulous planners!
Jodi and team created an absolutely magical event for our NYE wedding and reception. They took the stress out of the planning process and led us step by step through the multitude of decisions that we had to make. Their long history of event planning meant that they were connected to top-notch vendors and their recommendations for us for a florist, the band, the invitations, hair/make-up, etc. were all perfectly aligned with our vision. Jodi, Sue, Kaitlin and team were warm, communicative and always available to address concerns. They presented us with a variety of options along the way, but left the decisions to us unless they felt very strongly about something that wouldn’t work, in which case Jodi gently steered us in the right direction (and of course, ended up being right!). The end result after a year of planning was simply perfect; it exceeded expectations. We will carry the memories of our wedding and the feelings that we had throughout the event with us for the rest of our lives. Simply The Best!
It's hard to imagine a more talented and organized event planner than Jodi Raphael! Our son and daughter-in-law's wedding in Oct 2023 at the Boston Public Library was magical. No detail was missed! Jodi knew which vendors - music, photography, flowers, lighting, design - worked well at the BPL, and she secured them for us. Her planning list was always at least one step ahead of us. And, on top of all that, Jodi was delightful to deal with, and in those few stressful moments that always occur during wedding planning, her diplomacy and persuasiveness prevailed. The best wedding planner!
If you need a wedding planner, you should absolutely hire Jodi Raphael Events! Jodi and her team are exceptional, and will make you feel like your wedding is just as important to them as it is to you. They are responsive, organized, expert planners who can make your entire wedding experience feel smooth and enjoyable. Jodi and her team were there for us at every step of the way, offering expertise and guidance. Jodi has an excellent eye, and can make your wedding venue and space come to life.
We were not initially sure we were going to hire a wedding planner for our wedding, but we are SO glad that we hired Jodi and her team. It completely changed the wedding experience for us, and the Jodi Raphael Events team handled soo many aspects of the wedding that we would not have known how to handle. They took challenging details and logistics out of our hands when we wanted them to, allowing us to focus on the details we were more excited about. Jodi and her team offered excellent insight and ideas, yet also helped us make the wedding completely mesh with our own vision and preferences.
We cannot recommend Jodi and her team highly enough. The wedding industry is lucky to have them!! -

60th birthday bash
I hired Jodi Raphael Events to help me plan a 60th birthday party. They were excellent. Jodi had so many creative ideas that brought the party to life. We had a wonderful venue decorated with gorgeous exotic flowers and lovely colorful art. Her band recommendation was a huge hit. The party really reflected my interests and memories. My friends and family compliment me on the party to this day. I recommend Jodi Raphael Events wholeheartedly! I will definitely use them again for the next big event (a wedding, an anniversary...) -

I had a really positive experience with JRE. Jodi and Nicolette were extremely helpful and flexible as we had to navigate a last minute venue change as well as the state’s COVID requirements.
Hiring JRE was the best decision, because it allowed me to focus on the day and have others handing the details of my DIY wedding. My wedding likely wasn’t quite at the caliber of most of the events that JRE supports- it was meant to be a backyard wedding that felt more like a party than a wedding. Despite this, the team was professional and helpful and made an effort to understand the things that I felt were most important. They made sure that all of the details I hadn’t considered were taken into account.
Nicolette was absolutely incredible- I had people come up to me at the end of the evening to tell me how wonderful and helpful she was. The fact that my family members were mentioning her by name truly shows how much of an impact she made.
Hiring a wedding planner is a big investment for sure. If you’re doing a DIY / private wedding, this is a service and team you absolutely need. -

We had such a wonderful experience working with Jodi and her team!! My husband and I had a very clear vision for our big day and Jodi was a huge part of making that vision come to life in a more beautiful and special way than we ever could have imagined. We had booked some of our big vendors already by the time we hired Jodi, but she still worked beautifully with them (even if they had never worked together before) and the entire group was truly a flawless dream team together. Jodi’s expertise, advice, and knack for design made our wedding everything we dreamed it would be and more. Both the ceremony room and the reception room looked truly exceptional - colorful, unique, beautiful, tasteful, romantic - and everything in between. It felt like walking into a fairytale. Throughout the entire process, Jodi and her team were constantly responsive, wonderful listeners, and very organized. On the day of the wedding, I did not worry about ONE THING. The JRE team did everything and I had not a care in the world - I was truly able to enjoy every second of my big day. I knew that Jodi and her team were taking care of everything, and I was right. One of her girls was even there at the very end of the night to help me take my heels off and put my white sparkle sneakers on so I could head to the after party! Not one single detail of the day was overlooked. If we could do it all over again (which we dream about daily!), we would not skip a beat in hiring Jodi. I can't say enough about Jodi Raphael! My daughter and my son-in-law had a vision for their wedding, and when it was all said and done, Jodi made their dream wedding come true. We worked as a team and Jodi was a great listener. She totally got my daughter's sensibilities and her love of color, and everything was spectacular. We had already chosen a few of our vendors before we connected with Jodi, and she worked well with them, as well as her favorite vendors, to coordinate everything. The flowers, cloths, and everything in between were beautiful, tasteful and not over the top, as per our wishes- Jodi totally struck the right balance for us. And on the wedding day, Jodi and her team made sure that we didn't have to worry about a thing. As hosts, you just want to enjoy every second and set the tone for your guests to have the best time ever, which they did. People are still talking about how great everything was, and the whole night was a total reflection of the bride and groom and their love. You WON'T be disappointed.
In these trying times of 2020, Jodi Raphael Events found a way to meet the covid requirements for my sons wedding and provide him and his new bride with the most beautiful and intimate wedding. When our daughter decided to get married in Boston (we live in Maryland), the first thing we did was research party planners. Jodie was recommended to us by one of the venues we were considering, and after reading reviews, we met her. From the moment we met her, we felt a lot of the wedding stress that we were feeling melt away. We began the process with Jodi about 18 months before the wedding date so it gave us plenty of time to work with her through all the details. Jodie was a fantastic source for everything (venues, bands, photographers, videographers, flowers, invitations, transportation, etc.), and she allowed us to work closely with her every step of the way and never found our questions or calls too much to handle. In the end, our daughter’s wedding was absolutely wonderful, in large part thanks to Jodie and her terrific staff! They covered all the details on the wedding day too, and we are still getting calls and emails from people telling us how everything was perfect. We highly recommend Jodie and suggest that you embrace the opportunity to work closely with her in the planning and details leading up to your wedding. I cannot say enough good things about working with Jodi and her team to plan our wedding. My fiancé and I wanted to get married in Boston but were still living in New York City at the time. Also, I was the first in my family to get married so my parents, my fiancé and I were really at a loss for where to start. The first call we made was to Jodi and it was the best decision we could have made.
Over the course of several meetings and phone calls, Jodi created a vision for our wedding that was better than anything I could have imagined. Her attention to detail to create a beautiful and cohesive scene is incredible.
Jodi works with the best vendors and has relationships all over the Boston area so she was able to help us pick out the best of the best, while minding our budget. There were so many things that I would have never thought of without Jodi’s help. She was also great at managing all of the differing opinions of my family and fiancé’s family.
The weekend of the wedding I was surprisingly relaxed because of all the preparation Jodi and her team did leading up to it. I didn’t have to worry about people being on time or when inevitably the groomsmen forgot accessories for their tuxes.
When Jodi showed us the ceremony space that we had been planning and envisioning for months, I was in tears. I couldn’t believe that Jodi was able to make my vision come to life and make it look even better than I could have imagined. After the ceremony, when Jodi showed us the reception I was once again speechless at how she had transformed the room into such stunning scene.

Beyond amazing
Jodi and her superstar team brought all our wildest wedding dreams to life. Like I said the second we walked into the ballroom on our wedding day for the first time, my Pinterest board became a reality and that is solely because of her extreme talent, love, passion, creativity, genius ideas and relationships! She truly made our wedding weekend (and the entire planning process) the absolute BEST for us and our families/bridal party and guests. Our hearts are forever filled with much love and gratitude for Jodi and her team! There is no doubt they are the absolute BEST in the business. Every vendor she referred- the band, the photo booth, the cake, etc. was better than the next! Truly thank you doesn’t do our feelings justice but really, we can’t thank Jodi enough! We keep scrolling through pictures, reliving the moments that we will cherish FOREVER!
