We met John & Brittainy through our photographer, Courtney Larson. They were so accommodating and lovely to work with from day one. We fell in love with their films and got to spend some more time with them during an engagement session - and absolute loved the short film they put together! Super professional and such genuinely kind people; it was special to have both of them there filming both our Western and South Asian wedding ceremonies in Arizona. They wanted to tell our story and spent time getting to know us so they could do just that. Couldn't recommend them highly enough! -

I don’t even know where to begin about John and Brittainy. I want to first start off by saying how truly kind these two individuals are. Weddings can be such a stressful time and it was important for my husband and I to surround ourselves around people that wouldn’t add extra pressure or tension around an already chaotic event. Unfortunately, a reality for that desire doesn’t exist given how many family members, friends, and people (even acquaintances!!) take part in a typical, big desi wedding.
There were times prior to our wedding events that we were under a lot of stress but John and Brittany were such a calming presence in the storm. They spoke to us about their own marriages and asked us questions about our love story- the kinds of things you should be focused on during your wedding. They had the ability to ground us and remind us about what we were actually celebrating.
John and Brittany captured our wedding in a way I didn’t think was possible. Every time my husband and I watch our wedding video we feel as though we’re transported back in time to our wedding weekend. They were able to capture all the feelings and emotions that were happening. I know it’s cliche but I get butterflies in my stomach watching our video. I can’t believe how beautifully the video is orchestrated. The detail in showcasing the venue, the food, our outfits, my jewelry, our family, our friends, our wedding customs & traditions, our first dance, the speeches- EVERYTHING was highlighted. There was so much to capture and they captured it.
There were so many amazing shots in our video- I don’t know how else to explain it bedsides I feel like our wedding video is a movie. I never expected anyone’s video to look the way ours does. It’s so amazing, it’s literally a movie.
John and Brittany also worked with us after to incorporate our favorite music and parts of our wedding that we wanted to be a part of our video. They were so patient and encouraging through the whole process.
I can obviously go on forever about these two but I’ll end this by saying our wedding video is will be one of my most cherished mementos forever. I feel like our wedding weekend lives through our video. Every time I watch it my husband and I are the bride and groom again (even though it’s been 2 years!). I couldn’t love it more if I tried and I wouldn’t change a second of it. Thank you John and Brittainy for giving us something we’ll cherish forever. You guys were meant to do this. -

We had not originally planned to get a professional videographer for our wedding. But when relatives could not travel because of COVID we decided to splurge. John and Brittainy we so amazing to help us last minute and what they did with the editing picked the very best moments to remember and share with all our friends/relatives. I am so happy we used them and would advise anybody that they will be thrilled with the outcome if they use Jocund Bliss.Jocund Bliss's reply:

We loved our experience with John & Brittainy very much. They are professional, communicative, talented and hard-working. I really appreciate how they took the time to get to us, our story, and our needs prior to any planning or filming. They create and specialize your film based on your relationship dynamic and your needs/wants. They are very quick to respond if we had any questions or concerns and their pricing is fair and affordable. John filmed our entire day from morning to night and he included drone footage of the beautiful landscape of Sedona as well as photos. They also provide you a beautiful website for easy access for viewing and downloading your film/photos. They go above and beyond for you on your special day. We were so impressed with how our film turned out. If you are on the fence with which videographer to choose, you should definitely go with Jocund Bliss!

It would be incredibly hard for either my wife or me to imagine having a better experience with a videographer than we had with John and Brittainy at Jocund Bliss! Even from our very first discussions (in the middle of a pandemic, no less), their warmth, professionalism, flexibility, and attention to detail added immeasurably to the joys of our special day -- to say nothing of the amazing final product! When we sat down to watch our video for the first time, Sarah and I were astonished at the ways -- both large and small -- that they found to personalize and tell *our* story. To simply write a review would not do this filmmaker justice. I must emphatically recommend Jocund Bliss for your wedding or elopement video. The filmmakers took the time to get to know us, to really understand our “why.” They came through during the COVID pandemic (safely masked and socially distant) when every venue had shut down. They didn’t just shoot a wedding video, they told our story. Every person I’ve shared it with has cried and gushed about the artistic quality. Even the presentation of the final video was personalized, artistic, and an incredible gift. Remember your special day captured in a way you’ll be proud to share. John and Brittainy were absolutely fantastic to work with. They covered every aspect of our wedding - from the dress rehearsal, to getting ready, all the way through heading out for the evening. I was able to communicate with John several weeks before the event what arrangements I wanted with various family members. He was more than happy to accomodate my requests. One of the things I appreciated most was his ability to direct the family sets in a way that was very efficient and did not bother even our most difficult family members. He had the firmness of a drill sergeant yet the kindness of a preacher's wife (which is precisely what is needed to handle family at these types of events!).
