Joanne did an amazing job capturing our special day. She is a very insightful photographer who knows how to make us as a couple stand out in all of our photographs! Amazing Photgrapher

I just wanted to let you know how much I love my photos! Joanne captured the night so beautifully and going through these has made me relive the night all over again and i cant thank her enough for that feeling!! The BEST decision we made for our big day

Joanne was amazing. Anything we asked for, she did or at least offered an alternative she could do.
She had amazing suggestions for locations and worked with our venue (our home).
She perfectly handled all the family dynamics. She was clear on what she needed and what to expect.
When so many things didn't go as expected, she was exactly what we hoped for.
We've also hired Joanne for our engagement photos, family photos, senior pictures, and business profile/website photos. Really, you can't go wrong when you give her the reigns and let her do what she does best.

She is a 1000 out of 10!

Joanne is the best. She was so easy to work with. She took into consideration certain areas that I did not want photographed and made sure before every picture that she would do her best to hide the areas of myself that I did not want highlighted. She took my feelings into consideration before every single picture. I haven’t taken many pictures of myself over the last few years and Joanne made me feel pretty and confident. Plus, she is hilarious and her personality is 1000/10.

Best Photographer EVER !

Joanne was absolutely amazing. She was extremely flexible especially with all the unknowns during covid. She easily helped us select a new date that would work when we postponed. She provided amazing photos all while being such a positive person to have around on the wedding day. She assisted with making sure we were where we needed to be at all times which was so helpful. Absolutely recommend her if you want an amazing wedding photographer!

Joanne is Amazing

Joanne is a wonderful photographer, and she was incredibly accommodating through the challenges of COVID. She is kind and compassionate, and very comfortable to work with. We had many comments from guests after our wedding about how amazing she was. We also have two small children and she adapted to each of their personalities really well. We have wonderful photos from our special day, and we received the final copies much quicker than expected. We would highly recommend Joanne!

Joanne was wonderful to work with. She was very detailed and worked well with the DJ and other people involved in the wedding to help capture our special day. Joanne was the best, accommodating, flexible, kind and supportive.

Joanne was great to work with and it truly felt she was very invested in us as a couple and really cared about our story and capturing our day. She thought of things that we might not have and that was super helpful. Even with changing plans due to COVID she stood by us without hesitation and adjusted to what we were doing. I am so thankful for all she did for our day and the pictures were amazing too!!!

Exceptional, Professional, The Perfect Possible Scenario

There are people throughout this experience that claim that they are going to "be there for you" and help you with the "tough to answer questions" and say that they are willing to do "whatever they can" to make your day as special as can be. Many people claim this, but Joanne truly embodied this ideal and made my wedding day, the best day of my life. The humor, the calming presence, the sincerity and the knowledge that Joanne brought throughout the entire wedding process with my wife and I was above and beyond what anyone could've asked for.

Lovely and Wonderful to Work With

Joanne was an absolute delight to work with. She's such a sweetheart, and was able to take our unrefined ideas and flesh them out. She had tons of great suggestions for photo shoot locations and poses. We were thrilled with our llama walk engagement photos, our first look photos at Topsmead, and our wedding day shots - absolutely breathtaking. We couldn't be happier. She and her partners work really well together, the shoots went really smoothly. If we had interest in getting a particular photo, she was able to run with it and capture exactly what we had in mind. Can't talk her up enough, thank you for everything, Joanne!

Absolutely Incredible!

Joanne was the photographer for my daughters August wedding and she was AMAZING! She was so professional and much fun to have with us on our daughters special day and it truly shows in the pictures. Joanne was absolutely wonderful!

Working with Joanne for our wedding was a dream! We loved that her packaged included an engagement shoot. It allowed us to get to know her and help us feel more comfortable in front of the camera. Even my husband who hates to have his picture taken had a blast that day. Of course the pictures turned out amazing as well. The pictures from the wedding day were even better. She has a natural eye and we loved that she was able to come up with unique poses right on the spot. She really gets to know every couple and allows their personality to shine through in the pictures. The whole process was fun and stress free thanks to her. I would highly recommend!

The minute my now-husband and I met Joanne, we felt completely at ease and that she was really listening to what was most important to us. This occurred during the 1-hr on-site meeting she includes in her packages, which was a large part of why we chose her. We walked through the entire plan for the wedding day and left feeling like old friends. She took my frenzied lists and created a calm, cool, and relaxed atmosphere on the day-of where she made sure to capture everything we wanted, all the while making the whole wedding party feel like supermodels. Her photos incorporated details of the venue as well as sentimental aspects we specifically asked for, creating an overall gorgeous and uniquely memorable album of photos. We cannot recommend her enough and would hire her again in a heartbeat!

Joanne was fantastic! Our wedding pictures came out beautifully, and the moments she captured were perfect. We were both a little nervous because we really hadn't taken many professional photos, but Joanne was able to direct us into poses that were natural. Her eye for lighting, background, and utilizing space was very noticeable in our outdoor shots, and the finished photos were perfectly edited (not overdone). She was a joy to work with, and made the whole process stress-free, organized, and efficient. Highly recommend!

I had the pleasure of working with Joanne closely in the beginning of my wedding planning stages I couldn't imagine working with anyone else! Joanne was by far the easiest and most knowledgeable person when it came to planning timelines and how we would get the best photos she also was extremely accommodating with our difficult schedules and super responsive to our questions. I loved Joannes sheer raw talent her photos captured of our day which drew me into meeting her initially. Her photos are not photoshopped and fake instead they captured the moments and we feel like we're are then when we look back. It was so nice to be surprised in the moments she captured and the sheer details she thought of due to her artistic style. When you meet Joanne you feel like she's family and someone you have known your entire life her personality helps you feel comfortable on letting her in to a very intimate day of your life. Also, her prices were cost effective and surpass the work she does! We look forward to working with Joanne in the future for any of our future portrait needs my family and guests also raved about how great she was to work with! I forgot to add the turn around time for our photos Joanne didn't even take 4 weeks to produce them which is extremely fast!!

I can't say enough good things about working with Joanne! What initially drew me to Joanne the most is that she takes breathtaking photos without all of the "smoke and mirrors" that some other photographers use; she just makes you look good naturally, no over-airbrushing or crazy filters, just REAL photography talent. We used Joanne for both our engagement and wedding photography. She has such a knack for figuring out a couple's "style" and incorporating it into her work. I wouldn't consider ourselves people who are particularly comfortable in front of a camera, but Joanne made it so easy and fun! Joanne pays attention to every detail and will bend over backwards (sometimes almost literally) to get the photos you want. Joannes pricing is very reasonable and I consider her photos to be on par or better than some of the photographers who charge twice as much or more. If you want incredible, affordable, and just all-around amazing photos, you should give Joanne a call!

Joanne was professional easy going and a great photographer! I would highly recommend her. She was a pleasure to work with and had great ideas for photo shots. There are simply not enough stars to rate Joanne's Service! I honestly don't know what we would have done without her, seriously... She was so professional and was able to keep our wedding moving in the right direction; even as our Wedding was spiraling out of control due to the terrible banquet manager who was assigned to handle our event. Joanne was able to not only capture amazing pics that we will cherish forever, she was able to make up where other "event professionals" failed. We love our pictures and we owe Joanne a great amount of gratitude for her Professionalism, Skills and frankly leadership. If you want to be certain that your getting a pro to shoot your wedding and your considering her, look no further. As an added benefit the pricing is more than fair. We were referred to Joanne and would definitely recommend her to our friends and family for sooo many reasons!

My husband and I used Joanne Vandal for our wedding on 11/4/17 and she was fantastic for the entire event, as well as very helpful and accommodating! She made the whole process easy for beginning to end, especially since we planned our wedding from long distance. Her prices are very reasonable and you will receive quality pictures. Joanne is an amazingly talented and fun photographer, and was an absolute pleasure to work with! My, now husband, and I planned our CT wedding while living in CO so it was very important to find someone who was responsive and accommodating to all our requests. Joanne made sure that we had several phone encounters along with tons of communication through email to ensure we had a timeline in place for our wedding day. The best part of it all was we just had to show up! She kept things organized and professional and made sure that every detail and all of our needs were captured. Fast forward 3 weeks (talk about fast) and our pictures are everything we hoped for and more, simply beautiful! We could not be happier and definitely recommend Joanne to anyone who may be looking for a photographer.

Joanne was such a wonderful photographer. She was very responsive when reaching out to her about pricing and setting up time to talk about our ideas. I had a list of photos that I wanted to make sure Joanne captured during the day and she was able to capture all of them (and more!). Her pricing is very reasonable and she is very very flexible with schedules and timelines. She was able to get all my pictures back to me within 4 weeks and even expedited the process since I wanted to use my photos in my thank you notes to my guests. The pictures were beautiful and she had a great eye for awesome pictures! I would highly recommend Joanne for your wedding photographer!

Joanne was absolutely amazing! From our initial consult, our engagement pictures, right through our wedding! She is fun, creative, and takes amazing photographs! Joanne is professional and is there to make your day one you will remember forever! Not only did Joanne exceed our expectations, she was also A LOT more affordable than many other photographers we looked at! Our wedding pictures are so good I have no idea how we are going to pick ones to hang, print, etc. I would recommend Joanne to anyone looking for a fun, creative, affordable, and professional photographer!

Joanne was amazing! We did tons of research before choosing her to capture our wedding's special moments. We ended up also booking a Fall engagement photo shoot with our kids to get a feel for things before the big day & the shots came out great!

Wedding day was perfect. Joanne captured beautiful shots without being invasive or distracting in any way. The process in which photos are made available for us to view & download is super simple & convenient. Joanne's prices were ridiculously low for the amount of quality & care she provides.

Aside from the wonderful quality of the product you will receive & the beautiful memories to look back on, Joanne is very fun & such a pleasure to have around. Every time we met or spoke prior to the big day she was always very punctual, organized & genuinely excited to be a part of our wedding. You just can't find anyone better, seriously.

Joanne was super accompdating of our modest budget and delivered amazing photos of our special day. Joanne thought outside of the box and took us to a local skate park to get the beautiful colors from local graffiti artists in the background and the photos came out absolutely stunning. We also got the amazing traditional photos and Joanne took the best picture of our wedding bands by putting the bands on our cake topper robots. She completely caught the feel of us as a couple and translated that to amazing wedding photos.

My husband and I cannot say enough great things about Joanne and Joanne vandal photography. She was beyond responsive and seemed to truly understand what we wanted on our big day. It's not easy picking a photographer for your big day. Once your wedding day is over your pictures are all you really have to remember the most important day of your life. I can honestly say that if I could do it all again I would 100 percent go with Joanne again. Her pictures were stunning and she was so easy going and accommodating. She is extremely knowledgeable and genuinely aims to please. She was very affordable and exceeded our expectations. I absolutely will recommend her to anyone I know who is newly engaged :)

Joanne was fantastic! She was the perfect match for the "go with the flow" style of our backyard wedding which we planned in a few months time. Joanne was so wonderful to work with and captured every moment of our special day, from the engagement shoot to creating our wedding guest book.

My husband is somewhat camera shy and was so nervous for the engagement shoot, but Joanne made us both feel comfortable. She was professional, funny and knew exactly what we wanted. The first look was delivered in less than a week!

We stayed in touch leading up to the event and she helped us pick the perfect spot for wedding day photos. We didn't want to shuttle the bridal party and we had some older relatives who couldn't walk far, so she found a spot within two blocks from our venue.

Joanne and her second shooter, Melanie, were incredible throughout the whole day. Looking through our gallery, every single moment was captured with beauty and style. We didn't want the traditional fall scene with leaves and pumpkins. We really wanted a city scene and we took a majority of pictures in a graffiti park, which was so colorful and fun.

I would highly recommend Joanne as a wedding photographer. Her photos are incredible and prices are reasonable.

We'll be sure to use her for our maternity shoot, hopefully in the near future!

I highly recommend using Joanne Vandal Photography! She was absolutely amazing. I had millions of crazy requests and it was a very hectic day, but Joanne made sure everything went super smooth! Even if there were any bumps in the road on our wedding day, my husband and I had no clue about them. Not only did Joanne photograph our wedding, but she also did our engagement session and a mini session with our son (a Chocolate Labrador named Murphy) and she was wonderful with him! We can't wait for Joanne to do our pictures again. We will be using her for all of our major milestones in life. Hopefully in a few years she'll be photographing a pregnancy session for us! :)

On a recent trip to Connecticut from the west coast to visit family we scheduled a family portrait session with Joanne. I have known Joanne for more years than she has been a professional photographer yet after watching her work and seeing her final product she has the talent of someone having many more years experience than she has. Watching Joanne own the process and give playful direction to our 6 year old son and almost 3 year old daughter was amazing, anyone who has or has had children this age knows how difficult it can be for them to follow directions and stay still for any length of time yet Joanne managed to capture their true personalities during our session. Another item of note is Joanne's flexibility. Our session needed to be rescheduled because of severe thunderstorms and Joanne was great in being able to work with our schedule since we were in town for a limited time, she had no problem working us into her schedule for another day and the weather and venue ( Elizabeth Park in West Hartford) were perfect as are the final pictures she presented to us. There is no looking further, Joanne is the PERFECT photographer to capture your special moments.

Joanne shot my engagement photos in July and our wedding in September. She always kept in contact even prior to the wedding. She came to the hotel beforehand and got some awesome shots of us girls getting ready. Her assistant got photos of the guys getting ready at my husbands condo. At the venue she was ready with lots of ideas of where to take photos because it was on and off raining. She got beautiful shots of the first look, family, friends etc. She quickly got us a sneak peek and we were very happy with the end result! We all have been to or have been in a million weddings, and we all know when there is some weird crappy photographer... Joanne is so far from that it's not even fair.

Joanne is truly a professional photographer. The pictures she takes are exactly what you want on your wedding day. She makes you feel comfortable when taking pictures, and the positive emotions shine right through on the final pictures. Joanne is an excellent photographer and she was a great resource leading up to my wedding. I planned the wedding from another state and Joanne made me feel at ease and helped me understand the flow of the wedding day.

Joanne is a true professional. She was very easy to work with and came up with some great ideas for picture shots during the night. She made me feel beautiful and accommodated all our requests.

Our portraits are amazing! I love looking at them and sharing them. The best part is that we can keep all of the shots she took and make our own prints. Joanne was very responsive to my questions both leading to the event and after. Our photos were ready less than one month after our wedding! Her responsiveness and photo quality make her service worth every penny.

I highly recommend Joanne as a wedding photographer but also for any other special occasion. I have a friend getting married next year and have already recommended Joanne to her.

My future husband and I were in a unique position and needed a photographer three, yes three, days before our wedding. Joanne completely saved the day! She more than accommodated us last minute then she knocked our socks off! We have the most amazing pictures that we will treasure for a lifetime. She caught the most amazing moments of fun and laughter as well as tears and silent tenderness. I believe in fate and I believe our circumstance lead us to Joanne and now she will be in our lives forever. We wouldn't trust anyone else to catch our special moments.

Joanne was my photographer for my wedding and she was so fun to work with!!! She was very energetic and fun that she felt like a regular guest at my wedding! Joanne provided exemplary photography service for our engagement shoot, rehearsal dinner and on our wedding day. She was more than happy to accommodate all of our needs and provided great suggestions when asked. She captured our day perfectly, including the atmosphere we wanted to create for our guests. I highly recommend Joanne Vandal Photography! My husband and I had some trouble with our previous photographer for our wedding and were forced to find a new photographer within 3 weeks of our wedding. I got in touch with Joanne through a coworker, and she was very accommodating and responsive. I was able to meet with her a few days after first talking and the following day she did an engagement shoot for us. Joanne makes you feel so comfortable during the photo shoots, and she has a great sense of humor! Joanne was able to work with me to get my engagement photos edited very quickly so that I could use them to make the guest book for the wedding. On the wedding day she was extremely timely and I had complete faith and trust in her that she would get all the photos I wanted, and she definitely delivered. Her turn around time for editing all the wedding photos was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend Joanne!!

Joanne Vandal was a wondeful photographer. She captured the most magnificent engagement photos and wedding photos for my
Husband and I. Not only was she patient and kind, she has such a positive attitude and had everyone smiling and laughing thoughout both shoots. My husband is very shy and not one for taking many photos, but you would never know this in the pictures Joanne took. Because of her fun personality my husband and I were smiling and enjoying ourselves the entire shoot and each picture looks very natural, while capturing our true love for one another. I would recommend Joanne to anyone. She is a brilliant, professional photographer and I am so happy with the work she did for us on the happiest day of our lives!

Joanne Vandal is such a professional and so easy to work with!. Joanne captured every special moment at our wedding, she made us feel so comfortable and at ease that sometimes we totally forgot she was there capturing the moment. She gives perfect direction for poses and has an amazing eye for the perfect background for beautiful pictures. Our wedding pictures turned out amazing. She made us look like stars! They were just breath-taking.
To add, my wedding guests were very impressed with Joanne’s hard work ethic. Many guests mentioned how hard she was working and how impressed they were by her ability to be in the right spot at the perfect time for spectacular shots.

I honestly can't say enough good things about Vandal Photography! I will definitely use her services in the future and strongly recommend to anyone in need of photography, she is beyond awesome!

Joanne took the time to meet with us multiple times before our wedding. She was willing to try our ideas we had for photos. Joanne is friendly, funny, curtious...everything you could ask for in a photographer! We've used her again for family photo sessions now that we have children.

Joanne was not only the most professional and dedicated wedding vendor that we had, she was also the most fun and engaging. She made the day even more incredible and brought a smile to everyones face that she interacted with. She went above and beyond in helping me set up all of my timelines and even helped when I was struggling with deciding my colors, flowers, and the theme of our wedding. We were so lucky to have her and her amazing eye for details and fun, memorable shots that I would have never thought to take and hadn't ever seen done before. When I was in my "2 weeks to go" frenzy she was the one that was able to calm me down and remind me how fun it was going to be and that everything would work out perfectly. She was the absolute best. Joanne Vandal photographed my engagement pictures in the fall of 2013 and my wedding this past weekend, June 7, 2014. , We had an endless amount of compliments on our engagement photos and even on our wedding day I overheard people compliment her on how awesome they were.
Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and Joanne made us feel relaxed and stress-free. I can't thank her enough for being so wonderful and I can't wait to see the pictures she took. I know they will be just as amazing as our engagement pictures.

Awesome Wedding Photographer!

We worked with Joanne for our wedding and our engagement photos. She put us right at ease and made taking photos fun. She understood my vision for both and made it all come to life.
