You've found the perfect wedding photographer!

This is the easiest 5-star review I've ever written. Guess what, you've found the best photographer, you can stop looking right now.

Joanne shot our wedding in October 2018. Initially, my husband and I tasked my mother with "finding a photographer" - i.e. a task that could keep her occupied while we actually planned the wedding - this was the best decision we made in wedding process. My mother found Joanne via TheKnot - She had previously shot at our wedding venue (La Canada Thursday Club), and her style suited our needs perfectly: Nothing too "Instagram-y" (we didn't want our pictures to look dated in 5 years), saturated color, focus on candid, photo-journalistic style. And her package was right in our budget.

Joanne NAILED our wedding pictures - We got exactly what we asked for, and so much more. She was a dream to work with - easy-going, a great mediator between guests and family, joyous, celebratory, focused and, most wonderfully, chill. She blended in perfectly with our guests, made everyone feel comfortable, even putting up with some unexpected weather.

We're overjoyed with the final product, but mostly, we love working with Joanne. She'll be our family photographer for years to come.

Joanne was super easy to communicate with (thank goodness for email), she was prompt, prepared and downright fabulous. You cannot go wrong with Joanne as your photographer, wedding or otherwise. We're so glad that she was there to capture our day!

Joanne is amazing! She was a photographer from beginning to end of our love story. She was our photographer of choice in the proposal, engagement and wedding! She is super friendly, has an extremely strong work ethic, makes you feel at ease and genuinely tries to find the perfect shot for each and every moment. We plan on using Joanne for all our photography needs in the future! She is superb.

Joanne and Alex (the second photographer) are so amazing. I'm in love with her "good eyes". For instance, she found this yellow flower field nearby the reception venue. Immediately, she took us there and got the most amazing photoshoot. She is so flexible with our 10 AM wedding. We feel truly blessed to have her capture our special day!!! We hired Joanne for engagement photos, wedding photos, and video and could not possibly be happier about that choice.

She was absolutely fantastic throughout the entire process. She was accommodating to all of our requests, not pushy, as some photographers can be, and very friendly. She was on-time, professional, and hard-working.

Joanne goes above and beyond. She worked over 12 hours on the wedding day and was the very last person to leave the venue. She was always nearby and constantly taking shots in-between formal photo moments.

Joanne also makes the shot happen - you will find her climbing chairs and contorting herself to get the right angle or to make sure that the photo you want to take is possible - she is fearless.

We received our engagement and wedding photos, and video in a very timely manner. The photos and video are excellent. We highly recommend Joanne.

Joanne is an exceptional photographer! She is a very skilled photographer, has a great eye, she's easy to communicate with, very professional, she makes you feel comfortable with the photography process, and she has a great personality! Joanne was great! She was very flexible and accommodating, and I love the photos she took at our wedding. I was worried about finding a photographer because wedding photos often make me want to roll my eyes; I think they're frequently over-done and too posed. Joanne did an amazing job of capturing everyone as they really are, and putting everyone at ease. She did a great job of being everywhere at all times. Every time I wanted a group photo taken, all I had to do was turn around and she was there! If you hire her, you won't regret it.

My husband and I highly recommend Joanne. She has a beautiful warm cheerful personality, is amazingly talented, and she is extremely reliable and professional. We love our wedding photos which compliment every member of our party. The poses she suggested created shots that are endearing and fun to look at that we will cherish forever.Joanne is nothing short of BRILLIANT!! You will do yourself a huge favor when you hire her! She is all of this and more and you won't believe how reasonable her fees are and you'll be so happy that you included her in not only your wedding but in all future family/important events in your life. I would describe Joanne and her photography as ARTISTIC, STUNNING, VERSATILE, and just plain amazing! My husband and I have gotten so many compliments from all of our family and friends about our wedding pictures and I'm so happy to have had her as my photographer! She's so talented and easy to work with. I wanted my wedding to have a romantic, whimsical, elegant feel to it and I sent her a couple of pictures over email of what I had in mind. She not only captured my wedding perfectly on the day of, but stylistically the pictures came out beyond expectations! It was exactly what I wanted and more. My friends and family have been to a couple of weddings before ours, and they came up to me after they saw my wedding album on Facebook and said she was the best they've seen so far (of course we already knew that - that's why we hired her!)

Our engagement shoot turned out amazing too - I honestly think one of the best thing you can find in a photographer is one with an artistic eye - they can turn any moment and any scene into a beautiful one. We went 30 minutes over our contracted time at our engagement shoot but Joanne didn't even mention it at all. She was so sweet and friendly, and she continued clicking away until we got all the shots we wanted. I'm so happy with her work and I would recommend her to anyone that's looking for an amazing, talented photographer who listens and really cares about what you and what you want.

5 stars and more to Joanne! I was already quite overwhelmed by the many things that needed to be planned for our wedding with 230 guests, let alone finding a photographer who I can trust to capture our special event . As an amateur photographer, photography was definitely not an area that I wanted to skimp on for our wedding.

As with all art forms, photography is very subjective, but when my husband and I first met with her, we really liked her artistic style and how she's so down to earth. We've met photographers who are really stuffy and we couldn't be happier with choosing Joanne. She definitely has some magical powers to make us look good in pictures.

She may be quiet, but she takes command when needed. She gently guided our engagement and bridal shoots, which was much needed because my husband and I wouldn't have know what to do. We were surprised at how quickly she was able to get the pictures back to us, and we are so pleased at how they all came out. I especially love how she is so meticulous and notices the slightest details.

From the time we signed our contract till the wedding day, she is super easy to work with, asks for clarification when needed, and is super responsive. Weddings are stressful events, and you can most definitely count on her. She will not disappoint.

first off, finding a photographer within our budget was no easy task. we weren't asking for much, either. we were having a fairly large wedding (180 guests), but we were extremely laid back about everything.

a couple of emails later, i found joanne. thank goodness for her! she was able to work within our budget by editing the current packages offered and taking out all of the extras that we didn't need. i booked her blindly, never actually meeting her or talking to her in person. i trusted yelp reviews alone and decided to go for it. a bold step, i know... but like i said, my husband and i were extremely carefree about our wedding.

we didn't even meet her until a month before our wedding since we were living up north at the time. we had an engagement shoot at UCLA. joanne was very timely and professional. my husband and i are pretty awkward in front of the camera since we don't take it very seriously, but she was able to work with us. she was very patient and we relied on her completely for direction since we didn't know what the heck we were doing.

as for the day of the wedding, she came early and went straight to work. i didn't even notice she was there for the whole day! that's how good she was. she's quiet and sneaky, jumping in to get the necessary shots and then floats around in the shadows for the night. you can tell right away that joanne's a kind soul, and she was wonderful with all of the guests at the wedding. i appreciated her humble personality and her ability to joke around with us.

honestly, i cannot recommend her enough. she got wonderful candid photos from all of our guests and captured more than i even asked for. if i did it all over again, i'd still book joanne in a heartbeat.

Joanne was so fantastic. She was beyond professional from start to finish. My friends and family commented afterwords that she was never invasive and they hardly even knew she was there outside of portraits. She captured the most fantastic candid shots. She was polite and gave great direction to my husband and I so we could get the best pictures. She even had an assistant come and set up day of edits station for guests to look at and enjoy...free of charge!!

Asking Joanne to be our photographer was definitely one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. She did both our engagement pictures and wedding pictures and they were amazing. She captured our intimate moments naturally, and the dramatic shots look like they were from a magazine.

She is professional, has a great eye for details and style, and easy to work with. Our wedding was close to 18 hours and she was there during the entire time, working tirelessly. My husband had to make her sit and eat something for dinner!

She really did some amazing things with the pictures. I am often self-conscious when having my picture taken but that did not come across at all. Her pictures were a hit with our friends and family, who were oohing and aahing. This speaks to how her style appeals to everyone.

Joanne is a very talented photographer and we would recommend her highly.

Words cannot express how great Joanne is.

She came promptly to the hotel, ceremony and reception site and was very patient with us.

She had many great ideas and was able to get all the photos we wanted.

She basically went 13 hours straight without break. I don't even know if she had time to eat. Through out the whole time, she was professional and took photos even when I was sometimes barking orders out (sorry, the stress of the day got to me).

She also offered a photobooth service (Monkey Booth). It was a blast with guests and everyone had a great time with it.
I would strongly recommend her!

We hired Joanne as our wedding/reception photographer and she was excellent. Joanne is extremely reliable, professional, responsive, punctual and pleasant to work with. She has a good work ethic and I could tell that she wants to do her best to make her clients happy. She takes direction very well, and is open to any ideas that you may have and will try to work with you to develop an idea you have into reality. However, she also works well without any direction and can figure out your photography style through her interactions with you. I gave her very little direction because I honestly didn't have a huge idea of what I wanted, but when I received the photos, I saw that they were exactly what I was looking for.

You know how some weddings are absolutely beautiful in real life (e.g., weddings in magazines that people spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on?). My wedding was definitely not that. It was a very informal event--a small wedding (about 20 people), on the beach, with picnic food and no extravagant decorations. Regardless, the photos turned out as beautiful as those in the wedding magazines. Joanne was able to capture everything in a way that made it look probably better than it did in person! I'm not sure how she does it, but it must be a combination of being in the right place at the right time and a great eye.

She also took photos at our reception with approximately 100 people, and she was great there. I don't think anyone noticed her weaving in and out of the crowd, trying to get great pictures of great moments.

Joanne is flexible and willing to work with you to tailor a package that's right for you. When I contacted her to ask her about packages and pricing, she was very responsive and helpful via email. Her responsiveness and her professional demeanor instantly put me at ease.

The pictures were also delivered promptly after the wedding.

We met Joanne through some mutual friends and invited her to take our engagement photos during a Mammoth Lakes snowtrip. We were so impressed with her work that we decided to book her for the only weekend she still had available in December for our wedding. Needless to say, the photos came out great! She was incredibly patient and was very savvy when it came to being in the right place at the right time. We noticed a unique attention to storytelling and ability to capture very genuine organic moments in the final photo set which made it very easy to choose pictures for our photo album.

Joanne has earned our wholehearted recommendation. I truly believe that as long as she isn't too busy, we've found a photographer for all the big occasions in our new life together.

Weddings are so expensive. We had a small one on a budget and Joanne made it seem like we had a luxury wedding. Her wedding package includes an engagement session and the actual day of photos. She was great for both but the wedding photos were beyond what we expected. She captured a day that was like a dream. I can't wait to see our books. She booked her through our day of coordination company, Happily, and that gave us an additional discount!
