My husband and I are very grateful for Joanna’s skill and professionalism. She listened to us about what we wanted in our photos and then captured what we were hoping for. We are very happy with our engagement and wedding photos. Joanna and Johnny did a good job of capturing candid moments and also making sure we planned for the pictures we knew we wanted. We also like how they captured great shots of the bride and the groom – it seems that other photographers sometimes forget about the groom. On the business side, Joanna responded quickly to all of my emails, answered all my questions, and had our wedding photos finished and available to us in only a few weeks. I was surprised at how often Joanna went above and beyond what was expected. She even sent me a new engagement album when I made a mistake and had guests sign the album with a sharpie marker. Joanna and Johnny are quite talented, helpful, friendly, and not “in the way” during the wedding. Joanna and her husband were so easy to work with, and their photos of our wedding day captured all the special moments. We put our trust in them and they definitely exceeded our expectations, we did not have to worry about missing out on anything--and the photos speak for themselves. Joanna was an amazing photographer and we couldn't be happier with the photos from our engagement and wedding. Joanna was able to capture our romance and also personality. Most of our family state the photographs shoul be in a wedding magazine. On top of the wonderful photos, Joanna was always available and willing to work with us on making our day special. We did not live in Minneapolis but she still made it easy for us. She asked great questions to make sure she would capture the right moments. She also responded very quickly to all emails and phone calls. We are so happy we went with them and will definitely recommend them to others.Joanna was an amazing photographer and we couldn't be happier with the photos from our engagement and wedding. Joanna was absolutely wonderful! I recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding photographer. From the moment we met Joanna the first time to talk about our vision she was friendly and professional. It was great to do our engagement shots with her as well so we could get to know her prior to our wedding. Joanna was great at making sure we got all the photos we wanted, and took so many shots throughout the day to really capture our story and our day as a whole and not just the posed/traditional shots. We are forever grateful we hired Joanna (&Johnny) to shoot our wedding! We now will have great images forever to look back on. Big tip:Never skimp on photos for your wedding - its one thing that truly you'll have forever to remember the day. Thank you Joanna and Johnny for doing a fantastic job shooting our wedding! Honestly Joanna and her husband were the most amazing photographers. We felt like they were friends who were simply invited to the wedding! They were so kind and flexible and they really listened to what we wanted and gave us everything we asked for in our wedding pictures. We couldn't be happier! I met Joanna about 4 years ago when we worked together at a local coffee shop. I remained in contact with her through facebook and began following her photography business once that started. After I got engaged I contacted Joanna to photograph our wedding. Her pictures are beautiful and she really is so nice! She is professional, responds quickly through email and is super organized! We met with her a few weeks before the wedding to discuss a timeline of the day and what pictures/shots we wanted to make sure to get. She was accommodating to all of our requests and had great ideas. In terms of pricing, I feel that we got a great value with her. She offered a flat day rate, which is awesome because you don't have to worry about only paying for x amount of hours and the possibility of the photographer missing something. Joanna's husband, Johnny, was the second shooter at our wedding. He is also so talented and nice. They arrived at my parents' house around 11:30 to start shooting our getting ready pictures and stayed until about 9:30 pm at the dance! We just got our pictures back- not even a month after the wedding. They look fantastic. We have already received many compliments. Joanna and Johnny were able to capture the magical feeling and beauty of our wedding day. We love the pictures. It will be so hard to choose just a few to hang on our walls! I definitely recommend booking Joanna for any special event. We are looking forward to our "trash the dress" session in the early fall! Joanna did a beautiful job photographing my wedding! She was very helpful and professional through the entire planning process and on the day of the wedding and we were very pleased with the photos! Joanna Day Photography provided me with the best quality service I have ever recieved from a photographer. Even from the start of our professional relationship, Joanna was a dream to work with. She really spent time getting to know both my husband and I to be sure she would be a great fit for our photography needs. We ended up booking her on short notice, about 1 month before the wedding. Joanna was still able to meet with us twice in that time frame. She was on time to the wedding and was very professional and made sure to get all the shots I had requested. She was very professional through the whole wedding. Joanna also did a "Just Married" session with my husband and I 1 week after the wedding. Joanna really is amazing at what she does. She truly has a great eye for photography. The pictures I got from her, both of the wedding and the "Just Married" session were breath taking! The pictures were absoulutly beautiful and better than I could have ever imagined them. Joanna was also very reasonable when it came to price. We were able to stay within our budget and the product we got was worth so much more. I wish I could give Joanna MORE than 5 stars!! Joanna was a real pro from beginning to end. We felt in good hands right away. She was completely inconspicuous at the wedding and, when we did encounter her, fun to be around. As a bride, I really appreciated her support. I could relax into the day, knowing that Joanna would use good judgment in selecting candid photo subjects. Best of all, of course, the pictures were GORGEOUS. She really captured the feeling of the ceremony and reception for us. We would recommend strongly her to anyone.I wish I could give Joanna MORE than 5 stars!!
