Most amazing dj

Justin followed everything I asked! Every song I said was a must he played every song we said no he didn’t. He was AMAZING! We had so many people complement us on our dj. the dance floor was full all night! When he recommends the good luck dance, DO IT!! It was full all night couldn’t have asked for a better dj and he followed everything we wanted. He also takes pics and videos during the day and sends you them the next day! Couldn’t recommend more!

We had Justin DJ our wedding and he did an amazing job! He goes above and beyond to help with whatever is needed whether its necessary dj related our not. Very fun and friendly! Would definitely recommend to anyone searching for a dj!

Art Museum Wedding

We really enjoyed working with Justin. He was really professional and is a great point person on the wedding day helping keep everything on schedule. He is very upfront about his plan and has a great questionnaire to help organize everything for discussion. Our venue was a museum and the music he played during dinner really elevated our experience. In addition to his sets, he was also kind enough to take some candid photos for us to hold us over until our other photos are ready. He kept us updated throughout the event and checked in several times. We really appreciated Justin and would highly recommend him!

The greatest night ever!

Justin was amazing to work with! We had him for both our ceremony and reception. His set up for the ceremony was subtle and allowed our space to really shine while still providing good sound. The reception was so much fun! Justin played such a fun variety of music that had everyone dancing all night long! I really appreciated the phone call he set up prior to the event so we could discuss flow and the plan for the day. It made me so much more at ease going into the day knowing that he had everything covered. He took such great photos during the event which were so great to look back on. I can’t recommend Justin enough! I truly can’t imagine our wedding without him!

Friendly, Professional, and Kind!

Don’t tell my other vendors, but working with Justin was my favorite! He made sure my wedding day went perfectly by communicating effectively the day of and getting the crowd of all ages to dance. I truly didn’t have to worry for a second that the music would be perfect, which is the best gift you can give a stressed out bride on her day. He even sent us some photos he snapped throughout the day and that warmed my heart!! Definitely book Justin for your next event!

Absolutely amazing time!

We had the most amazing fun filled night with Justin as our DJ. He went above and beyond and was so flexible with how the night was moving. We are not huge dancers, but he had us on the floor all night. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a DJ!

Phenomenal DJ?

We just got married last night and Justin was an incredible DJ! He did both our ceremony and reception and everything went smoothly. He made us feel comfortable with his laid back, yet responsive and personable style. Our guests commented on how enjoyable he was. Highly recommend!

Flawless Wedding DJ

Justin was absolutely incredible to work with. From our very first phone call with him, to and through the wedding, and after our wedding, Justin’s professional communication and genuinely thoughtful support was as good as it gets. One thing in particular that I want to comment on is Justin’s gentle yet timely reminders throughout our wedding night we’re absolutely critical to the flow of our wedding. We Love Justin

Justin was amazing! He was so professional, efficient, and had our dance floor BUMPING! He was very receptive to our requests (we had a lot of song requests), and he made the night flow very smoothly! Wedding DJ

My goal for my wedding was to keep everyone on the dance floor most of the night and Justin was able to accomplish that. He was very attentive and made sure my husband and I were ready to move into the next thing on our timeline (grand entrance, dances, garter/bouquet toss, etc.) before announcing it. He took song requests, but allowed us to say no to a guest request if we didn’t want them played. He did his job well and made the night go smoothly.

A huge bonus - Justin took photos and video throughout the course of the night and sent them all to us the next day. It was such a sweet surprise to be able to look back on the day before our photographer got our photos back to us. He also captured some moments our photographer/videographer/family didn’t get, and that I am so grateful for!

If you're looking for a kind, professional, energetic, and fun DJ I highly suggest booking with JM Katz entertainment. We hired Justin for our wedding on 9.17.22 and We couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the first time we spoke to the day of our event - he was on top of it!! Justin checked in with us throughout the night to make sure the night was exactly what we imagined. He kept our guests on there toes, mixing in a couple slow songs every now and then. He even captured a couple great photos of the night. Everyone had a blast. Book with Mr. Katz!

Awesome from start to finish!!

Justin was awesome to work with and we are very happy with how he carried out the entire day!! Everything went smoothly and transitions were seamless. He was cool and flexible when plans had to be changed, due to rain. He had a nice clear voice during all announcements and kept the dance floor hopping all night. You NEED Justin for your DJ!!

Justin was absolutely perfect to work with! He had a long conversation with us before the wedding to go over any and all questions and he asked questions I hadn’t even thought of. He took pictures too and got some of the best moments captured! I would recommend him for any event!

Best DJ we have ever experienced!

Justin kept the dance floor packed the entire night! He did a mixture of all types of songs throughout the night and kept the dance floor excited! He made sure that we (bride and groom) were happy and stress free and made sure to ask if we needed anything at all to make sure we had the best day ever. Exceeded our expectations!!

We got so many comments about how fun the atmosphere and music was at our wedding. He did such a great job getting people out on the dance floor, and it was really cool to see everyone have so much fun! Justin made sure to come around and find us every time he was thinking about announcing the next event (cake cutting, first dances, etc.) He even took videos throughout our reception to send to us, which will be a great keepsake! Justin DJ'ed our wedding this past labor day and was awesome! He made sure our reception flowed well and played great music throughout the night. It was so nice to go into the reception knowing Justin had everything covered and we could just relax. Awesome DJ

JM Katz Entertainment was everything we wanted for our wedding day! They had a generalized plan on how the night was laid out for dances/ songs and took our input when planning. They kept everyone energized and excited the whole night. They took requests allowing everyone to hear their favorite songs, but also allowed us as the bride and groom to disallow certain songs from playing. We are very thankful to have found such a great entertainer.

Justin was best DJ we could have hoped for! He was eager to meet all of our needs and offered some of his own ideas, and let me tell you, they were amazing! Professional and Fun. The perfect DJ experience!

Justin is everything you could want in a DJ and more! He is professional, organized, flexible, and most importantly fun. The whole night he had my guests out on the dance floor, I didn’t see the dance floor empty, not even for one song. I received so many compliments from my guests about how great of a time they had and how excellent my DJ was. Last minute changes? No problem, Justin is flexible and was willing to work with us to make our day spectacular. He was organized and ensured that our day ran smoothly from the time he got there until the time the evening ended. Justin truly cares about each and every one of his clients and it is reflected in his work. I cannot say enough good things about him, he is truly the best. Keep your guests dancing!

As ballroom dancers, it was important to my husband and I gave our guests an amazing dance experience. Justin really took that to heart and made sure we had a full dance floor the entire night. Beyond that, we were so pleased with how personable Justin was through the entire process of working with him. I would absolutely recommend him for any event that you want to make extra special.

Justin was our DJ for our wedding and absolutely nailed it. Not only did he DJ, he coordinated and made sure the flow of things were going smoothly. He was very involved, personable, and fun! Justin is very organized and pays attention to detail. Did I mention he also took pictures of sentimental moments from the sidelines without even being asked?! Yes, we had a photographer, but he captured some of the best moments of our day and surprised us with tons of amazing photos and videos!! Thank you so much Justin! Highly recommend!

Justin was fantastic. He communicated well with my wife and I, as well as with the other vendors. He did everything I asked and more. He showed up to the ceremony early to ensure he was good to go. Part of the best team for a great event

Justin was a bigger help with our wedding than anticipated. A before-event phone call gave us time to work out some details. Music and flow is important for our wedding. The day of the wedding, Justin was helpful with whatever needed to happen. He kept the party going when great songs. He also provided some great candid photos and video. Fantastic DJ!

Justin took care of us throughout the entire planning process, and made everything run smoothly on our wedding day! Very reasonably priced for his quality of service. He kept the dance floor full the entire night, and catered to every one of our guests by playing music to get everyone moving!! Would definitely recommend him!! So grateful we found him!!

Also, he captured some really fantastic photos of our day which was great because he was able to photograph a few important things after our photographer left for the night.

I HIGHLY recommend Justin at JM Katz Entertainment for your event. He was the DJ at our wedding and did an AMAZING job! It became very apparent to me early on in the planning process that he was an expert in his field. He was very knowledgeable about the wedding ceremony and reception process and took care of things that I would have never thought of. Justin is nothing but professional and made our evening memorable by allowing us enough freedom to choose some of the perfect songs, and also using his expertise to choose great ones of his own. I appreciated that he was able to read the room and choose the perfect song for the moment and kept a great flow for the evening. We were in great hands with Justin. In addition to him being a fantastic DJ, he is very personable and checked in with us periodically to make sure we were doing well, he took pictures throughout the night and sent them to us the very next day, and worked with our event coordinator and other vendors to ensure everything ran smoothly. It was so wonderful that we had nothing to worry about and were able to enjoy our special day! Thank you so much, Justin!!

Amazing to work with!

Justin was amazing to work with. From day 1 (and I do mean day 1 - we booked way early) he was responsive and professional. He was very thorough, and the in-depth wedding questionnaire asked all the questions I would expect to be asked. He always followed-up with us within 24 hours and at any time of the day. He followed up a week before to ask any last minute questions and was super flexible with our wishes. On the big day his entire demeanor was extremely calm and welcoming and from the moment we walked into the venue to the closing of the even he made us feel confident in everything he was doing. The music choices were top notch and kept everyone on the dance floor all night long. 10/10 would recommend and use again and again. Thank you!

Justin was great to work with. He was responsive to emails prior to our phone consultation the week prior to our wedding date. The phone consultation was great because we could get on the same page for our day. He asked questions that we hadn't thought of. On our wedding day, he was great too. He checked in with us at different times to see if we were still on tract or need to make changes. He was very accommodating as we changed some minor things from what we talked about previously and was very pleasant, friendly. I would highly recommend him!!

Justin was absolutely wonderful for our wedding at the Radisson in Kalamazoo. From our initial meeting over a year in advance of the wedding to the final minute of the event he was absolutely everything we could have ever asked for in a DJ. The dance floor was PACKED all night and Justin was able to keep it that way with his song selection and ability to gauge the crowd. He didn't bat an eye when we asked him to stay an extra half hour, and then another half hour again to extend fun. Also from a price standpoint, he's certainly not the cheapest guy out there but he's far from the most expensive. Having been to 10 weddings in the last year with DJ's ranging from a friend of the couple to the most expensive DJ in town, we would pick Justin again even if he was the most expensive guy in town. Thanks Justin! If you're looking for a DJ and he's available for your date, don't hesitate to book him. You won't be disappointed. - Dan & Amanda

DJ Katz was phenomenal! I am still getting complements from my guests about what a great mix of music he played. He was so helpful with everything from advice on what he has seen that works to what doesn't. He made sure we were comfortable with everything before the date of our wedding so we didn't have to worry about a thing. I have attended a lot of weddings, and his work at ours was far superior to anything I have experienced. Justin was extremely professional; our wedding ceremony and reception went so smoothly thanks to his help! Justin provided sound amplification for our outdoor ceremony so our guests could hear everything - and they did! Even though we didn't ask him to, he stepped in and played music while our guests arrived since our live strings trio group was late - talk about going above and beyond! At the reception, he professionally and energetically introduced our wedding party, all of the speeches, and released the first tables for dinner. When it was time to cut the cake and for the first dances, he politely came to check with us to make sure we were ready prior to announcing the event. Reading a crowd isn't always easy, but once it was time for everyone to dance after dinner, he did an awesome job getting everyone out there and, most importantly, KEPT everyone out on the dance floor for the rest of the night! His equipment seemed to be top notch - speakers, lights, etc. Even though it came too quickly, the last dance was one of the highlights of the night... You'll just have to hire Justin to find out what he does to make it so special! In the week and a half since our wedding, we've heard nothing but positive comments about the DJ from our family and friends who were at the wedding. I would definitely recommend Justin and if I ever host another event that requires a DJ, he will be my top choice! THANK YOU, Justin!

Justin was Outstanding! We were married a week ago, and our guests are still sending messages about our reception. The Party Planner that Justin provides, covers every detail...especially ones you'd never think of but are so important for a great reception. We requested that Justin do his best to keep our guests dancing, and he did just that.....even my 91 yr old dad was dancing!

My wife and I booked Justin for our recent wedding reception and we were very satisfied with the way things went. He and I have known each other for several years as we graduated from the same high school.

We requested a certain version of the song we wanted for our first dance and was very understanding of why we requested it. Justin's Party Planner is very encompassing, very thorough, and considers just about everything one could think and even some things we didn't even of due to being in the throes of planning a rather large wedding and reception.

Our guests were highly complimentary of Justin's ability to know the audience and play to the crowd. His presence was hardly noticeable because of his ability to pull things off with barely a hitch. Our introductions were fantastic, he really knows how to work a crowd, and treated us like rock stars. We even planned a gag during our garter toss and he was more than willing to play along. Justin's knowledge of his craft as an entertainer is of such quality that he does not need a kitchen sink's worth of equipment to throw a great party.

Be willing to listen and ask questions. He will answer anything you throw at him. He is detail oriented and considerate of the finer points of playing a wedding. He worked well with our other vendors and the staff at the hotel where our reception was held. Be honest and fair in regard to discussing compensation - Justin was very considerate of this subject and ended up being worth every penny we spent, yet reasonably priced for such a high quality of event.

10/10 would recommend.

We hosted our wedding at a family friend's property, so we didn't have the luxury of a person on hand responsible for day-of coordination. Justin was incredible! We hired Justin to Dj our wedding in September, and it was the best choice we made! We heard about him through a friend at work. I Facebook messaged Justin and got a response almost instantly. He was so professional, and really made my husband and I at ease for our wedding day. He took all of our requests and fulfilled them! Including keeping us and our guests updated on the notre dame football score thorough out the night! At the end of the night, a guest offered to pay for another hour of music. Before Justin took it upon himself to play, we came to me and asked if it was okay. My husband and I hired Justin M. Katz of JM Katz Entertainment to DJ our recent wedding reception. If we had to plan our wedding again, we absolutely would hire him again with no reservations nor hesitations. One part of the service that Justin provides is to conduct a phone consultation a week prior to your event to discuss the details of the event and ensure that all needs will be met. Not only were our needs met, but he exceeded our expectations from beginning to end. Having never met him before, it was clear to us even after our phone consultation that we had make an excellent choice. He was very thorough, personable, accommodating, and professional. During our reception, he was very involved and in tune with what we wanted or did not want as the bride and groom. We really felt taken care of by him because he went so out of his way to make our event special and meaningful. He interacted with us as the bride and groom and got to know us in the short evening we worked with him, as well as our wedding party, while still doing a superb, professional job as our DJ. He really was an excellent addition to our party and I would absolutely recommend his services to anyone looking for a personable, yet still professional, DJ for any event you might be putting together.

We are both in our early 60s and widowed. Justin was recommended by our caterer for our Dec 13, 2014, wedding reception. Justin completely understood our wish for a romantic reception yet not a traditional one in the younger couple sense. He was able to include a couple of songs by our granddaughter and plenty of music from our generation and as well as music which appealed to all of our guests of different ages. Justin is easy going, flexible, smart, skilled and it was simply a joy to work with him.

I just hired DJ Katz this past weekend for our 10 year High School reunion. To say it was an incredible choice is an understatement. He had awesome communication from the beginning to ensure he covered any and all music that we desired for the night. Since I’m no music guru and knew the music would “make or break” the direction of the night, I left it in his hands! He did absolutely AWESOME! He covered all of the hit songs from our High School days, played the popular songs everybody loves today, threw in the classic Michael Jackson, and even allowed our class to spontaneously request our favorite song and drinking game, Thunderstruck! I HIGHLY recommend DJ Katz for any event you are planning! Not only is he incredibly personable, but it’s easy to see the passion he has for providing entertainment. To put it simply, he is natural behind the DJ Booth! He wants your event to go as smoothly as you do. By the end of the night we had the dance floor covered and we were begging him to stay longer! I will definitely use him for future events and I’m so glad I found him!

Justin was unbelievable during our wedding. It was nice that he organized and helped us with the flow of the wedding. We loved the choice of music he used as well as his thoughtful insights to how the wedding would work out best. Everyone at the wedding praised him and enjoyed his song selection. He is very reasonably priced and worth every penny. I would recommend him to anyone.

Coming up on our 1 year anniversary, and one of our best memory of our wedding/reception was the DJ from JM Katz Entertainment. The music selection played during cocktails before the wedding, the music timing and professionalism during the wedding and the interaction & fun times he created at the reception helped make our special night a night we will always cherish.

We have highly recommended this service to 2 of our co-workers who have used this service and they both came back to thank us for the wonderful recommendation, and one of them was a short notice due to the original DJ backing out.

This DJ seems willing to do whatever it takes to make your day very special for you.

Would use Justin for any party I host. He was such a great DJ for my wedding that 3 of my friends used him for their weddings! Very reasonably priced, professional, good music, and kept the party flowing. 5 stars. would recommend over and over!

Justin Katz is by far one of the best, and most reasonably priced wedding DJs in town. Justin is very professional, has a great selection of songs, and could easily accommodate any songs requests I had before, and during the reception.

JM Katz Entertainment was a tremendous company to work with. The owner, Justin, reached out to us numerous times ahead of our wedding to go over every detail. His professionalism was unreal. During the event, he new how to handle every situation that came his way and knew exactly what type of music to play and when. My husband and I throw a big Halloween party every year (125+ guests). Justin was referred to me in 2012 and we hired him to DJ our party. Justin did such a great job, we hired him again for our Halloween bash for 2013! Justin is great to work with. Very professional and gets back to you right away if you have a question. I am a closet party planner, and I want everything to go off exactly as planned. The last thing you want with a big event is have a vendor that does not show up on time or does not meet your expectations. Justin always arrives early and is set up and ready to go on time. We had people dancing all night to his music. I have already had someone that attended my party what to hire him for her wedding. We would recommend Justin for any event and will be hiring him again!

We hired Justin for our wedding in August and he was great! He played everything we requested and kept the dance floor full! He was very easy to work with and we have had more compliments about our music at our wedding than any thing else. I would recommend him to anyone!

He was more worried about getting 50 more dollars from us as soon as we walked into the door at the reception. He rudely flashed my check I had written him in front of my bridal party telling me I needed to pay him more money. I insisted that was the remaining balance on my contract at home. He seemed extremely doubtful. My husband quickly bummed 50 bucks off guests to appease him. It Started the reception off with a poor taste in my mouth because of that. Also the song for bridal party entrance to the reception he strongly recommended we not use the one we picked out, so a few days before we had to figure something else out because he knew best. I also requested he play more dance/ club like songs, at that time he was playing mostly older music and the young crowd wanted to dance! He then handed me back the 50 dollars explaining I was correct and that he had his wife check the contract he had. Wouldn't you do that before asking me for cash! He was a moderately priced DJ , not to worst in the world, just a guy with a few amps and an apple computer. Make sure if you have an open bar to keep it well stocked for this guy. I had family members ask me was the DJ going to work or just keep drinking.
